Synopsis:	Rachel came to check on Kitty's recovery from the boating mishap

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde is in her room. Rumors are running around the school. Kitty got attacked by a giant squid. No, Kitty fell of the party yacht of some guy named Tre. No, Kitty fought the King of Atlantis and he stuck her forehead with his trident.

There's all sorts of rumors, but the consistent one seems to be that she had to make a trip to the Wellness room that is the school's medical facility. Kitty is back in her room now though, the door left open so people know it's fine to stop in and see her. She's trying to foster that kind of feeling of openness as she takes on her new Guidance Counselor role.

Marvel Girl has posed:
Kitty would hear a roar actually hard to miss the sound at all as Rachel storms down the hall <<MOVE!!! OR BURN >> . Then she shows up all flaming hair and body looking around till she spots kitty.. without thinking she's on kitty in a flash her hands touching her eand there clearly checking to make sure she's okay complete concern on her face.

Kitty Pryde's thoughts are full of concern, mainly that Rachel not scare anyone. She's worried and wanting Rachel to fit in well with her classmates. It's a heart-warming mix of maternal and bestie sort of concern. "I'm fine, I'm fine," Kitty says. She smiles and gives Rachel a big hug, pulling her onto the bed with her if allowed.

"I was on a sailboat while my friend was at work. Little thing. And a yacht ran me over. I had earbuds in, didn't know it was there until I turned and caught the hull in the face. Knocked me out cold. An Atlantean who saw it saved me. Swam me to shore and gave me CPR. Let me get warmed up at a boat he had nearby, and I slept there." Kitty taps her forehead. "Had a big knot and a concussion, but Josh healed me a little bit ago. I'm fine now."

Marvel Girl has posed:
Rachel Grey Eye's glow " Boat where? " She says " Can't see somebody in the water I'll flip the bloody ocean to find the lousy " Several swear words a well, the thing is nobody's sure if she has the power to do that or not she shook the whole school whe she got mad once so far.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde pats Rachel. "Sweety, it's ok. The police will probably find whoever it is. I'm referring to him as Tre. Tre and the Yacht of Doom. But it's ok. I'm safe." Kitty smiles and hugs Rachel again, trying to calm her down. "How are you doing? Are you fitting in ok with the other kids?" she asks.

Rachel Grey Snorts " I have Ellie and sam, " She says " I don't need anybody else, " She says firmly yep that answers that especially when she slips into trademark Ellie move of sullen silence.

Kitty Pryde squeezes Rachel's hand. "Sure you do. It's great that you have them. But it's great to have more friends too. There's lots of great students, and faculty out there. Just like Sam and Ellie are great."

Rachel Grey Loooks to the side giving the I don't wanna face that you know from jean as she leans in for hugs to avoid talking about it .. and also to make sure your back and spine are okay

Kitty Pryde wraps an arm up around Rachel's head, hand gently cradling her head there. "I want to be able to be what you need from me," she says softly. "But if you're like a daughter to me, you get to be like a best friend too, ok?"

Rachel Grey Nods her head and bites her lip and nods " Okay but your like my age " she says eyeballing " Well close " she says " I think " She shrugs " I dunno my own age so dosn't make it easy " .

"And that's why you get to be my bestie as well as," Kitty says with a smile. She invites Rachel to lie back on the bed with her. The two can gossip on into the night, though Kitty steers the conversation away from Serious Matters. It's just a time to chat and get to know little things about each other. Late into the night...
