Wonder Woman has posed:
It is mid afternoon in the Themysciran Arts Center, a place where citizens can come and enroll in classes to immerse themselves in the art and culture of the people of 'Paradise Island'. It has been an open facility for a little over a year now and it has been tremendously popular amongst the fans and follows of Wonder Woman, they've come far and wide to get a chance to experience this almost... interactive museum of the mysterious culture of female warriors.

As of right now, there are fights going on in the public sparring arena on the north side of the facility, these are often the largest crowd drawing activities within the center. But Diana is not in attendance of those today, two of her Amazonian sisters are however and they are running that class.

No, Diana is in the arts and crafts section on the eastern side of the building, specifically in the painting room. A class has just finished and Diana had sat in on it as a student herself. It was being taught by an experienced painter who was teaching the arts of ancient Greece.

The classroom is emptying out now and Diana has been speaking with a few of the other members of the class, walking out of the room with them back into the main hallway. She's tall, standing at around 6'0", dressed in a white slim-fit long sleeved shirt and black slacks, her dark brown hair tied back into a ponytail. She certainly stands out in any crowds though and is easy to recognize if one is looking specifically for her.

Ms. Marvel has posed:
Kamala was going to head down to the arts and crafts section. She has an assignment due in her world history class, and the young woman had chosen Themyscaria - okay - she //begged// for it as her chosen country. Dressed in her usual frumpy, if colorful clothes, the Pakistani girl has her scarf pulled around her head.

She had gotten distracted by the training exhibition, however, and is currently standing on the side of the ring, watching the two women spar, completely star-struck by the pair. She had heard a rumor that sometimes they take volunteers, and there's just this little teeny part of Kamala that hopes that's true. With other people in front of her, it's hard to see, so after looking around for a moment, she extends her legs, hoping noone notices as she tries to get a better peek over the crowd to the training.

And she's so caught up in watching the spar and training, that she is most likely oblivious to the Princess heading through the crowds and their way. "Oh my gosh, they are so awesome and graceful. I'm totally like.. awkward crane style."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana had indeed planned on going to the fighting/sparring, but first she stopped off in the lobby where there is a small cafe where one can get teas and food from Themysciran recipes. She got herself a big steamy cup of tea and has now gone toward the fighting area.

Kamala's words, in fact, fall directly on to Diana's ears as she is now suddenly standing beside the young girl. With her tea cup raising up to her lips, Diana looks over and down to the considerably shorter girl and she cannot help but smile. "I have heard of worse fighting styles." She says in her smokey voice, accented with a thick Greek flavor to the words. "I even recently met a man who kept himself inebriated during combat." She sips her tea and then shakes her head to that thought. "I certainly do _not_ recommend that combat approach." She adds with a slight grin tugging at her red painted lips.

Ms. Marvel has posed:
Even with the slight extension she gave herself, Kamala is still having to stand on her tippy-toes to watch the action. And she's so taken with it, when the smooth and soft voice next to her speaks up, she starts to turn say something, and then she relizes who it is.

Your PC Is Full Of Errors

Kamala's brain momentarily crashes. "Y-You're here. I mean, you-you're you!" the girl suddenly shrinks back down from that totally not imposing 5'8" back to her true 5'3" size. She clutches herself, maybe pinches herself to assure herself that she's not having a dream. "Your Highness." she squeaks, the girl curtseying in her skirt.

"I can't drink, so I could never do that." That was totally a lame retort. Not cool at all, as Kamala's cheeks are totally dark at the moment. "...you're much prettier than your posters."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana's tea cup is lowered down just about the time that Kamala recognizes her and she glances over at her, sees the girl's recognition and reaction... its something she's pretty used to, really. In fact there are others who are now turning around to look at Diana because of the verbal responses from Kamala... its bound to happen.

The Princess herself just fully faces Kamala now and she shows her a wide smile, a sincere smile, she extends her hand to the girl and softly shakes her head. "Just call me Diana." She tells her. "Titles have never been a thing that I enjoy outside of formal moments. I would say this is a casual moment."

"What mIght I call you, in that spirit?" She then asks before softly adding. "I like your scarf too. It looks very soft." The compliment at the end makes her hold her smile.

Ms. Marvel has posed:
"Diana." Kamala tries on the word. "Oh! That's not my name. You meant my name. It's Kamala. Kamala Khan." she offers nervously, finally starting to calm down just a little as she realizes how much attention that she's drawing, and if she could - which she could - she'd shrink down and hide in her scarf.

"Thank .. thank you. It is my favorite one." Kamala gives a nervous tug to the colorful scarf that's tucked around her, and she finally remembers to push it back to expose her features fully. "I'm from Coles Academy and my class is doing countries of the world, and I wanted to learn more about here. I mean Themyscaria. And then I got here, and I was all distracted because even your sparring is so beautiful and graceful."

Wonder Woman has posed:
The nervous responses are always amusing, they're endearing due to the meaning behind them, a meaning that Diana respects and tries to live up to. "Kamala." She repeats. "A water lily." She recites the definition of the word and raises her cup of tea up for another sip. "A very lovely name, one you should be proud of." After she lowers the cup again to hold it between both of her hands in front ofher waist she smiles again, though now its more of a soft and warm smile.

"Themy-scira." Diana corrects the girl. "It is a challenging word, do not fret on it. Most people get it wrong." She then leans forward a little to whisper. "We try to include it on most of the paperwork given out here, in hopes of that helping people learn it." She then leans back and grins.

Diana's eyes glance to the others looking toward them, but thankfully the clanging of swords and shields echoing throughout the fighting hall making most eyes return to the combat, action always drawing attention.

"Walk with me?" Diana asks the young student. "I would be happy to answer any questions you might have for your schoolwork." And with that said, Diana starts to walk, a slow pace.

Ms. Marvel has posed:
Looking around to make sure that Diana isn't talking to someone else, Kamala realizes finally that the princess is yes, addressing her. Then she blushes. "Yes. But in Muslim, it means perfection. I think my ammu had high hopes." she admits as she falls into step. Well. One and a half steps for every one of Diana'a long legged strides.

"I was trying to imagine a country of nothing but women. Do you find customs and things here strange still?" she asks curiously, the young woman glancing up on occassion. "And uhm.. how much did you see back there?" The question is an honest one - she never goes around showing off her stretchy powers.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana glances back over to the much shorter and younger girl and she shows her a light grin. "Perfection then? Well, consider it a goal to strive for and not a burden of what you must be in every moment. That might help make it seem... less daunting? I know it is something I strive for, but I assure you... I am not it." Her eyes go forward again as they walk along the backs of those watching and others coming and going from the sparring session.

At the questions of customs and such, Diana shakes her head. "I have been amongst 'man's world' for such a long time now that none of it is uncomfortable or surprising... necessarily." She has to tack that last word on there because-- "There are always random exceptions to any rule. Sometimes things happen that are surprising, such as old ways-long thought to be extinct-happen again. Good and bad. From how we treat one another, politely or with unabashed rudeness."

Diana then glances back over her right shoulder to where they'd met. "See? Just that you perhaps need to arrive earlier next time for the sparring." She says to Mala with a sly grin on her lips.

Ms. Marvel has posed:
The girl's cheeks darken further. "I just.. developed those recently." Kamala admits quietly. "It's not like there's a support group or anything." She lets out a sigh as she walks along with Diana. "And learning by myself ... well, like you said. Noone's perfect." There's a wry smile at that.

"Is there any ways that are old-fashioned in your land that you would want the modern world to adopt? Outside of the everyone is equal bit." Kamala asks curiously, as she glances towards the Princess.

"You are far beyond what I could ever hope for. Trust me, I tried. It fit pretty terribly." she admits with a sigh. "I'm not made to be blonde, buxom, and beautiful." Just brown, plain, and mousy.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Another sip is taken from her tea as she walks with Kamala, some people waving to her as she passes them and she smiles and waves back to them. Her eyes then go back over to Kamala. "You do not need to be any of those things, Kamala." She says back to the young girl. "You only need to be precisely who you are, and that is where you will find the most happiness. When you worry about things you cannot be? You put burdens on your shoulders that should never be there. And life is going to present enough burdens upon us all, we should not make more just to compete with that."

With a light exhale, the question of old-ways brought back is considered for a moment. "I... would be very happy if people gave thanks for what they have more today, than I believe they do. There is one holiday for it in this country, but it seems to become more about the food than the actual act of taking time to give thanks for what we have." She looks back to Kamala then. "On Themyscira, we pray every day in the morning and at night and we thank our Gods for what we have. I believe this gives us better... perspective on the things that are most important to us."

"What about you?" She then counter questions. "What are you thankful for?"

Ms. Marvel has posed:
"I go to mosque every week and remind myself to pray for what I'm thankful for." Kamala admits as she listens to Diana speak, a thoughtful look. "It's a lot like what my Sheik says. If you remember to be thankful for the smaller things, the bigger problems will work themselves out."

"I'm thankful that I have a chance to help. Not just because of.." she stretches a finger a little and wiggles it before snapping it back into place. "..but because I can. I want to make a difference. That's what I learned from people like you, and Captain Marvel, and Captain America. That one person can make a difference. That they don't need a cape or a cowl to do it."

Then she smiles a little, "..it certainetly doesn't hurt though."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana observes the young woman's ability to stretch her finger out like that and she notes that she seems to have control over it without and fear of it. "It seems there is more to you than meets the eye, Kamala." She says to her. "I did see you stretching up back there to look over the heads of the others. We live in a time where powers like that can cause a lot of... distrust. What with what Mutants are going through on a daily basis. Be careful with how you use them. I would not want anything foul to fall on you because of the politics of our troubled world."

"That being said..." She then shows a slight grin to the girl. "You have chosen good role models to aspire toward. Carol Danvers, Steve Rogers... these are very wise people. I have enjoyed every interaction I have had with them. Just a few weeks past, I had dinner with Captain Marvel... and... Thor." She shows a light smirk, sips her tea and then looks ahead again, something about Thor's mention seems to amuse her, but she doesn't elaborate on it.

"I am glad that you are taking pride in the things you have, recognizing them. I think you will benefit from that and likely will lead a very productive life because of choices such as that."
