Gangland Blues/City Fall: Differences of Opinion
Date of Scene: 19 February 2019
Location: Harlem, New York City
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Shredder, Wiccan, Punisher
Tinyplot: City Fall

Shredder has posed:
The night in Harlem is overcast, the orange hue of the city's lights reflect off the cloud cover as a recent light rain is evidenced in the streets, the shining reflections of signs and traffic lights showing up in the puddles. Two figures. massive in stature, march up the steps of the 125th Street Station, heavy boots carelessly splashing up water as they reach the top. They stand under a burned out light next to a closed Marshall's, glancing up to the building across the street.
    "This it, Beebs?" one asks.
"Yeah I think so, 5115 125th Street." The other passes the paper, and it is reviewed. "Okay, so... guess we just bust'em up, right?"

Wiccan has posed:
Columbia University isn't too far from Harlem, and with revitilazation going on of pretty much the entire city, Wiccan has no qualms about walking through the area, even at night. His parents aren't thrilled about it, but they aren't there and he's a college student! Even better, he can take care of himself rather well in many instances. Passing by some hot new restaurants combined with long-time residents and little bodega-type shops, he's making his way, this cold evening, towards the subway station to begin heading home. He could teleport, but some days one just wants to take in the fact that New York is the greates city ever! Seems this snowy day is one of those for Billy.

Punisher has posed:
"They're here." Micro states as the drone spots the two figures. "All the bystanders are gone. You're good to go with the operation, Frank." There's a nod from a trenchcoat wearing man on the rooftop just above the two figures... and the monocular he's using to scout the building opposite -where the two were looking- from the top of that Marshalls.

The office building had been abandoned and official condemned... but it was where the top Sowell enforcer was holed up with a number of his hit squad. Bruce 'Nine Lives' Sowell was one of the few holdouts for this particular family, igniting a civil war in the shadows that left the Foot needing to clean up.

In his spare hand, a device is taken from a trenchcoat pocket, and the safety is taken off the switch. He doesn't start the show. Yet.

"Time to go to work." The Punisher states to Micro as he watches the hit start.

Shredder has posed:
Rocksteady steps forward, followed by Bebop. "How come it's so quiet?" he says. The light shines on their face, revealing one of them to be a bipedal Rhino, and the other a warthog. True abberations from nature. They start walking across, even though the traffic light is against them. A car honks at them, screeching to a halt just before them.

Bebop turns, and looks at the driver before shoving his foot out, delivering a kick to the old sedan that crushes the grill and sends it rolling back against it's brakes a few feet. "Watch it, punk!" he declares in an angry voice before turning back to Rocksteady as they continue to the building. "Don't they know pedestrians always have the right of way?" he asks.

"Some people got no manners," the rhino agrees. They reach the other side of the street, looking up at the building, and then they try the door. If it's locked, well, that just makes their entry more entertaining, and they will smash their way in.

Wiccan has posed:
It's the crunch of the kick to the car that catches Billy's attention; honking horns are typical on the city streets. He pauses on his path towards the subway stop just in time to see the car rolling backwards at the force of the kick and the instigators making their way towards an abandoned building. It's hard not to recognize the pair as they're pretty memorable. There's a moment of hesitation before he marches his way towards the building the two are headed towards, "Hey! You two!"

It's a lot easier to be confrontational when he's still a good distance away.

Punisher has posed:
Not that distance will matter in a moment. The Punisher starts to walk to one side of the rooftop, where he'd tied off a rappel line to get down into the alleway next to the building. One finger starts to flick a switch on the device he's carrying.

*BOOM* A series of explosions rocks the street as carefully placed bombs of some kind detonate within the building.

Another flick *BOOM* Another series of explosions. Windows start to explode as the concussive waves start to hit the outer walls of the place.

Another flick *BOOM* This time, a series of charges explode, including one just inside the doorframe that was hidden earlier. It's more than enough to turn normal people into mulch, and The Punisher is hoping he managed to get Bebop and Rocksteady with that one.

As it is, the building is still standing... but there are obvious fires now. The Punisher didn't want to bring the whole building down... he was just cleaning the trash inside.

By the time the third switch is activated, the Punisher is already rappelling down into the alleyway, his gear locked and loaded as he gets ready to pick apart stragglers.

Shredder has posed:
Bebop turns as he hears Wiccan's voice. "Who's that, Rock?" he asks, tilting his head in Billy's direction. The rhino doesn't have the chance to respond, as with the opening of the door the blast pulses them backward, sending both heavy figures out and into the street, landing hard on the concrete.
"Whoa!" Rocksteady says, "Don't know my own strenght," he chuckles, rolling to his knees and then stepping up to his feet. The Warthog grips a small tree in the middle of the divider where he landed, and he uses it to prop himself to his feet. "I guess that would save us the trouble, huh?" he asks.

"Yeah, maybe," Rocksteady says, "Karai won't be too happy if she hears we made a lot of noise, though. Better get out of here before the cops show up." He glances over at Wiccan, "Oh, hey," he says, as if a series of explosions didn't just rock the building next to them. "You look familiar. We beat you up before or somethin'?"

Wiccan has posed:
Maybe it's the first 'boom' that sets Billy's devensive insticts off, but as soon as the first goes off, he's conjured a magical shield to protect him from any possible falling building bits. The shield is only dismissed once the explosions stop and Wiccan is now in his full on 'Magic' uniform. Rising a few feet, he pulls out a cell phone to make the 911 call. That done, he looks over to the two, "You did not. And you will not. I was going to tell you to leave innocent cars alone, but looks like you got a bit of Karma back."

Punisher has posed:
"HEY!" The Punisher shouts from across the street. Anyone who has seen the news knows that white skull on Franks vest, and face. "I've got more trouble for ya, assholes."

An HK417 is taken from his back, set to burst fire mode, and aimed at Bebop and Rocksteady. Within moments, he's opening fire at the two with bursts of 7.62 NATO.

Gunfire can be heard for blocks as the Punisher starts a fight with the two, though when one person tries to leave the building, he aims a burst in that direction, intending to headshot them quickly.

Wiccan is utterly ignored, for now.

Shredder has posed:
There is a snort from Bebop, and a chuckle. "Yeah, blowin' up buildings is way more awesome than kicking cars. 'Sides, he almost hit me! I don't call that innocent. And don't you talk bad about Karma, she's a nice girl!" He and Rocksteady suddenly hear the announcement from Frank as he calls out to them. One of them doubtlessly would have responded if it was not for the sudden opening of gunfire.

"Bebop! We're in one'a those school shootings! They are getting way too common these days!"
"We ain't even in a school!" Bebop answers. "It's like an epidural!"

Bullets thump into the Rhino's arm, piercing it and blooding his bicep as he uses it for a shield. Meanwhile, Bebop charges the previously damaged car, grabbing the white sedan's door and tearing it from the vehicle, much to the terror of the poor motorist. He flings it at the Punisher, a blow that would down or at least severely intimidate normal people.
"This guy is usin' some heavy duty ammo, man!" Rocksteady shouts out, and pulls a large pistol, sans ring guard, from his pocket. The heavy finger pulls the trigger, the 500 Magnum exploding with a deafening crack several times as he returns fire at Frank.

Wiccan has posed:
"OUTOFTHECAR!" is incanted as the sedan is picked up and tossed...the poor motorist! Wiccan tries to at least get him out of the car, somewhat safely, with magic...or out of the car and catch him with magic so that he doesn't end up another casualty! It's the least he can do as any other bystanders are either filming things with their phones or running for cover.

Punisher has posed:
The Punisher isn't dumb, and realizes these two are strong enough to throw heavy objects. It's the reason he chose this specific alleyway; plenty of cover to duck behind. The dumpster had been secured against the side of the building earlier, and Punisher dives behind it once his opening salvo is done.

Frank might be a human... but he's anything /but/ average.

"IS THAT ALL YOU GOT?!" Yes, that's the Punisher goading them on, even under fire, as he tries to get Rhino's attention "I THOUGHT YOU ASSHOLES GOT THE GOOD STUFF!" Bullets ping through the dumpster and into the plate of armor he placed inside of it earlier. Whether or not Rocksteady would have noticed that? Powers of observation.

Burst fire is returned as The Punisher keeps Rhino and Rocksteady pinned. He has plenty of ammo, and he needs time to allow everyone in the area to run so he can start using grenades. The important thing here is that he has their movements controlled. Wiccan gets a glance as he starts to show off his magic... but only a glance.

Shredder has posed:
Punisher isn't the only one who came with toys. The warthog opens his vest, revealing several F1 Soviet grenades. He plucks one of the pineapples, and chucks it past the dumpster to the other side while Rocksteady empties the magnum. Wiccan, for the moment, seems to be forgotten, his magical tricks completely unnoticed by the thugs.
The long pistol is replaced to his cargo pocket, the handle dangling out, and he takes the opportunity of Frank diving for cover as a chance to charge forward to close the distance, moving to the side of the brick building near the alley way. He slams against it, his blood smearing on the brick, and his weight causes the windows to shudder from the impact.

Punisher has posed:
Exactly what he wanted one of them to do. First things first though; that grenade needs to be dealt with.

While one grenade is tossed in the Punishers direction... his rifle is dropped as he pulled one of his own grenades from the gear web under his trenchcoat. Then another. The first one is tossed right back at the Warthog; a high explosive (offensive) grenade. The concussive radius is small, but highly lethal... so the only one effected is him.

The armor plate is grabbed as he's tossing the grenade, and he's already aiming it towards the incoming explosion. This is going to hurt. Meanwhile, a second grenade is pulled from his gear web, and he tosses it right at his feet, behind it. This one is a smoke grenade, meant to blind the chargers as they try to get close to the Punisher. He's already out of sight by the time the wall is crushed by the charge.

Shredder has posed:
Bebop follows the charge, taking him past the grenade as it explodes behind him. Instead of the wall, he slams into the dumpster, sending it careening down the alley, and causes it to tip over. As the smoke curls around the alley, he glances around. "Where'd he go?" he asks Rocksteady.
The rhino peeks around the corner, squinting through the smoke. "I think he ran off," Rocksteady answers, looking confused.
"Well, that's no fun, we were just gettin' started and all," the Warthog answers, "Some people just ruin everything, y'know?" he says. "Like, we planned all afternoon about how we were gonna do this job, and now it's over and we hardly got to do anything."

Punisher has posed:
That's when the 'clink clink' can be heard as another grenade is dropped in from up high; a fragmentation grenade this time. With the alleyway there to contain the explosion... and if they run into the alleyway, The Punisher has a clear view of it from the rooftop, where he used a pulley on the rappel line to pull himself back up there. Down the alleyway, a large bomb is in the dumpster, ready to turn it into it's own improvized fragmentation bomb if they get near it. He /was/ planning on using it to kill anyone who chased him into the alleyway... but they kicked it away. Nothing for it.

As he waits for their move, the battle rifle is brought back to his shoulder, waiting for a clear shot.

Shredder has posed:
The two thugs look up as the grenade explodes in the alleyway, and they look between each other. "How'd he get up there?" Rocksteady asks.
"Beats me, maybe he's one of those Spider-Man guys."
"Spider-Man has a spider on his chest, this guy has a skull. Though, other than that, I think they are a lot alike," Rocksteady admits with a thoughtful nod, staying behind the building to prevent a clear shot.
"Well, I guess he kinda did our job already, right?" Bebop notes with a raised finger. "I don't wanna try to climb up that building, seems really dangerous. And the cops are gonna be here any second. Maybe we should just get out of here before we have real problems."

Punisher has posed:
The Punisher has a number of escape routes already planned out for this, and he can be out of sight very quickly... so he just sits up on that rooftop and keeps Rocksteady and Bebop pinned where they are. Though... it might be easier to do that if they're unable to navigate.

While Punisher waits for a clean shot, he tosses a flashbang right on top of where the two are, cooked for maximum effectiveness.

He mutters to himself up on top of the building, "Here, catch." as he throws it. Back in the Battle Van, Microchip is keeping an eye on the fight from above... and the police bands, "patrol cars are one minute out, Frank. Your escape routes are still clear, visually."

Shredder has posed:
As the flashbang goes off, Rocksteady is caught by the flash, though Bebop had the good fortune to turn his head at the right moment. Still, his ears are ringing. "Okay," he grunts, "Let's get out of here," he agrees. He darts across the alley opening to Rocksteady, grabbing him by his bleeding arm.

    "Hey, that hurts!" Rocksteady growls.

"Yeah, not as much as that sniper guy will hurt," he says. "Come one, let's scram my man," With a grunt, there is agreement, and the two mutants make their way along the opposite side of the building to the tune of police sirens, responding to the various calls and smoke streaming from the alleyway.
