Taxes and Midnight Snacks

Location:	Xavier's School, Westchester, New York
Synopsis:	Brief meeting in the Xaviers kitchen after hours between Erika and Sam Guthrie. Erika knows how to do taxes.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie has taken over one of the small sitting areas in the kitchen. He has some veggies cut up and some dip, snacking healthy tonight. As he has some papers spread out looking over some things.

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir slips in, late as usual. She seems to fall asleep early then wake up in the middle of the night in deep watch, then do stuff, then sleep till early morning - wonky sleep schedule, but it explains the frequent late night kitchen raids. She tilts her head at you and waves. "Oh hey. What's up?" Instead of going straight to the refrigerator, she pauses to see what you are working on.

Samuel Guthrie has recipes and pay stubs and such in front of him "Ah am trying to figure out how to do my taxes, not sure if Ah can do them online since lived in multiple staes and it is a bit of a paper work hydra Ah tell ya.

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir ohs and looks it over a bit. "Oh, that's no trouble. I'd just have to check the tax laws in the states I'm not familiar with, but it can't be worse than tracking overseas investments, offshore accounts, bitcoin, and profit-loss statements from multiple LLCs."

She glances over the paperwork, pointing at things absently as she identifies them. "Yeah, this is nothingburger. Anything I can help with?"

Samuel Guthrie 's brow raises and looks at her "Ok, your got an accoutants calculator in your pocket, or is this something your actually interested in?

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir shrugs a bit. "I did the taxes and books for my family a lot, and I had to learn how to do a bunch of off the wall things to keep the books cooked. I mean, half of what they do is accounting tricks, and they wanted to make sure I was learning an honest trade."

She turns around and grabs a can of tomato juice, opens it and drops a straw in to sip. "It's not that it's the thing I super want to be doing for the rest of my life, but if it wasn't for child labor laws, I could totally be working at a tax prep company or as a bookkeeper right now."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie hmms and says "well if you can help, Ah won't turn it down, thought Ah was going to hae to track Bobby down and ask him for help." He tells her, and offers her some of the veggies.

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir takes a piece of celery and munches on it. "So by 'help', do you mean have me do it for you? Because I'm totally going to need the pot sweetened for that, and I haven't thought about a good bribe yet."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie smiles and says "well, I aint sure what I would bribe ya with to be honest, ah did take ya to Asgard, and even got in trouble over it a bit.

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir points. "Good point. Okay, I can take care of this for you, if you need. Just.. if a bunch of other teachers start lining up at my door, I am totally going to have to charge or something. What else is up?" She sips more vegetable juice and pops a chunk of broccoli in her mouth.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie says, "Not alot, just been working on this tonight. Thinking about another trip home for a couple days. Maybe take Rachel to meet my family."

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir nods and starts gathering up and sorting through the papers. "That makes sense. I visited my family today. It was nice, just, you know. They guilt trip me a lot. Total hypocrites."

"Oh, and Andrea thinks I should be training as a face rogue, not an infiltrator. Subtle difference. She says Laura is better at B&E and infiltration anyway, but she wouldn't want to put her anywhere near a high society gathering. I'm just going to tweak my study plan a bit to fit, but let me know if that opens up any new ideas."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks to her and nods a bit and says "I was mainly looking at the whole abilitiy to pick up suviners subtely with your training to be honest

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir nods. "Sure. It just moves the focus away from slinking and hiding in shadows and back toward, you know, Apollo Robbins shit and acting. It doesn't change up the work with Gambit much. I'm going to have a bunch of questions on these reciepts, but that's normal. I'll send you an email."

Samuel Guthrie nods, and says "Well if there is anything you need to work on with your training let me know on that as well.

Samuel Guthrie will look at her, and says "Don't stay up to late, you know when ya first class is." He wil stand and says "Let me box this up and you can let me know if ya need anything else.

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir nods. "Yeah, I know, I just always wake up in the middle of the night if I'm not super tired. I'll get back in touch with you tomorrow, probably have it done before lunch. It doesn't look like it'll take me very long."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie smiles and says "Yea, not alot of stuff, probably be alot worse next year." He will grin "Thanks again." He gives her the recpetes and heads on to bed.
