Getting the Gang Back Together
Date of Scene: 25 February 2019
Location: Gotham City
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Red Hood, Arsenal

Red Hood has posed:
When the Outlaws were around, Jason had set up the Redcave for them to meet in Gotham. As the teams changed and people drifted off, it seems that the Redcave has more and more become Jason's own version of the Batcave. Currently, there's only a few people that have access to the old subway station turned cave.

On one of the main monitors, Jason is looking at video of the Sentinel attack on Gotham. There's an area of the video that's on loop as he runs visual recognition on the crowd, faces popping up with DMV on occassion. Set to the side is a Big Belly burger wrapper, half a burger set it in with a few fries left near a scraped up pool of ketchup.

Arsenal has posed:
Roy Harper is one of those people.

dressed in his usual red uniform, though noticeably better armored, he has his quiver on his back, and a bow in hand. He wears a black trench coat to help him stay concealed, but what would give him away is the trucker hat that he wears backwards.

Always. Love. The. Trucker. Hat.

More than likely, Jason would be alerted when a particular entranceway to the 'Redcave' was being used. Unless Jason forgot to update security.

AGAIN.

Red Hood has posed:
That would be an issue, usually. But something caused Jason to update everything recently. Because he hadn't. And the Foot had gotten too close to the location. A small chirp from his helmet - set aside on the counter alerts the young man as he rolls the chair around.

And he takes in his best friend. "About damn time." he mentions, as he notices the new armor. "Was getting tired of pulling bullets out of your sorry ass." It's said with no malice, a grin touching his features.

Before he reaches down to grab a wrapped box and tosses it towards Roy. "Didn't catch you at Christmas." They were probably on different missions at the time.

Arsenal has posed:
as soon as Jason turned to look at Roy, the red archer was already just standing there casually. "It's about damn time you updated the security system. I was worried a tank could roll in here and you wouldn't notice." clearly returning the brotherly playfulness given. Though suddenly..

A box?!

What's in it? Roy catches it, looking at Jason. "For me? you shouldn't have pal." though Roy pulls out dvd-shaped christmas present and tosses it at Jason. "Here."

Because Christmas is goddamn important.

Roy opens his box!

Red Hood has posed:
"It this is another copy of Girls on Trampolines, I'm going to have to decline it." Jason says with a wry smirk, though he does go to move to open the package.

Inside Roy's box? There's a lime green trucker's hat with a white front panel. On the front of it is a large pickle. Across the front in boxy font is written:

I'm Kind of a.. BIG DILL

Arsenal has posed:
"Oh of course it isn't."

When Jason opens the package....It's...

Girls on Trampolines 2: The Jumpening!

"I'm more creative than that." when Roy looks into the box to see the green hat with the pickle on it, he just smiles. "I love it." and proceeds to laugh almost histerically. Yes, Roy's humor is stupid.

Red Hood has posed:
Jason sets the DVD aside. Totally going to regift it. "Dick will love it." Considering his recent girl issues. There's a smirk offered before he stands up and he moves to give his friend a clasp of hands, and then pulls him into a hug. "What the hell have you been up to, Roy? Tell me everything."

And that's when the computer chirps.

On the screen, it slides into two screens. One shows the grainy image of a face. On the other, it brings up a rap sheet.

Castle, Frank.

And it's a long one.

MATCH FOUND

On the screen, it slides into two screens. One shows the grainy image of a face. On the other, it brings up a rap sheet.

Castle, Frank.

And it's a long one.

Turning to the screen, Jason looks at the image and he gives a grunt of frustration. "Dammit." he rumbles as he moves to retake his seat. "There was a real mess the other day at Kingston Park. This guy decided to try to pull off an assassination in the middle of it."

Arsenal has posed:
Roy just smiles, clasping Jason's hand and happily entering an embrace with his brother-in-arms. Might as well be blood too. "It's been...hella complica-" sniff, sniff. "What the hell are you wearing, Jason? You smell...feminine." his eyes widen. "No you fucking didn't." he laughs. "Did you get a girl to actually like you, Jason? I'm impressed. I wanna guess...cute brunette?"

Clearly Roy is teasing, both tend to have serious girl trouble.

then the computer beeps, and his eyes shift over to the computer, shrugging off his jacket and setting it somewhere. "Frank Castle?" his eyes show the realization. This guy has been an absolute nightmare for the criminal community. "an assassination on who? I haven't seen the news lately."

Red Hood has posed:
The mention of a girl, there's a pause. Jason's cheeks may actually darken for a moment. "Damn, someone give Roy his detective merit badge." he says with a laugh, before not actually looking at Roy. Because he does not want to give his best friend fodder. "Her name's Kitty, and she works at a school in Westchester."

"Anyway!" Jason says, keeping his eyes on the screen. "Yeah. That guy. He took out a mob boss in the middle of a panicked protest between the Friends of Humanity and some mutants." He lets out a breath and reaches up to rub his temple. "As if things around here haven't been complicated enough."

Clearly, it's time for a subject change, because yes. Girl issues, though, Jason adds wryly. "I can ask if she has any single friends."

Arsenal has posed:
"Well, I sure as hell have to meet her now, you realize this yeah?" Roy is just smiling from ear to ear. Yep, the name of Kitty is definitely stashed away for now. but, he does look to the screen, crossing his arms. "Heh." Admittedly, Roy is amused. Can't say he's a fan of the FoH. "I mean, he had it coming, sure, but in the middle of a protest? ballsy. How close are you to a location? we can go check it out like the good ole days."

the wry comment about Kitty having any single friends, Roy rolls his eyes. "Yeah yeah yeah."

Red Hood has posed:
"Don't have anything on Castle yet." Jason admits with a grunt. He takes a fry and flings it at Roy, before he leans back on the chair, arms folded across his chest. "Was trying to track down any leads on where the hell the FoH was getting heavy gear like Sentinels from in the first place." There's a frown that tugs at Jason's features.

"GCPD pretty much has Kingston Park roped off. But I wouldn't mind stretching my legs. Ran into some strip mall ninja the other day. Didn't have a problem with them, but then one of their bosses showed up. Had to take a couple of days of downtime. But now?" Reaching over to grab his helmet, Jason opens it up to slip it on and seal it in place.

"But I have a girlfriend, so I don't put out on the first date." The smirk is clearly heard beneath the helmet.

Arsenal has posed:
Roy catches the fry in his mouth and noms on it.

Though he does pull out what looks like a small bar from his belt, which seems to emerge into a full-fledged bow! "Well, looks like we're going hunting. You know how much I like blowing up robots." he gives a thumbs up before tugging on his bowstring a few times to make sure it's still nice and sturdy.

Like a charm.

"Point made. I dunno, I saw a cute red head for a few weeks. Pretty sure that's done....she's too awkward and innocent for a guy like me." he smiles lightly "So if she has some single friends, hit me up." he laughs

Red Hood has posed:
"And yes, she's brunette." Jason addes as he heads towards the exit and bikes. "I think the robots are already pretty well blown up. So unless they brought friends, I may be boring the hell out of you."

But that's how detective work happens. Slow and steady.

It isn't a long trip to Kingston Park. Most of the park is roped off in the familiar yellow '-=-GCPD - KEEP OUT-=--=-GCPD - KEEP OUT-=--=-GCPD - KEEP OUT-=-' tape. Slumped over in the ampitheater is a large, 15 foot tall purple and grey robot. Though it's only down to about 12 feet after Magneto ripped it's head off.

Another one is crumpled in the middle of the park, it's body riddled with bullet holes. It's near that there's a smaller roped off scene, this one with a human chalk outline in it. "So, what are you in the mood to look at first. Crime scene A is giant robots.." he poses like a Price is Right model. "Crime scene B is a mob boss murder."

Arsenal has posed:
"Eh, wouldn't be the first time." Roy mounts a bike, and they ride off together. The Dos Compadres (as opposed to the three amigos) ride like the wind, and eventually arrive at their destination. "Hm...the crime boss is probably easy to deduce, since I assume a bullet was used. Sniper rifle?"

because it can be easily assumed that a killer would have trouble getting out of the middle of a crowd for an assassination. "That is, assuming it was at a distance rather than the thick of it. The Sentinel would probably be a good start."

Roy came armed anyway, ducking under the yellow tape rather casually to absolutely tamper with evidence. Sorry Gotham's Finest, Arsenal and Red Hood are on the scene.

"So, how'd you meet her anyway?"

Red Hood has posed:
On his own bike, Jason is having a text conversation within his helmet.

JT: You have any single friends?
KP: I have a few, why?
JT: Okay. I'll make sure not to introduce my best friend to them.

Once Roy makes the decision, Jason follows him beneath the tape.

"Sorry man, says she doesn't have any friends that she thinks will measure up." It's a lie - but really, introducing Roy to a friend of Kitty's? That would probably end up very bad for him.

They approach the bullet-ridden Sentinel, and Jason gives a little frown. "I thought the Russians were involved - but one of their rent-a-heros, a Crimson Dynamo, was out here blasting away at this thing." He gestures to the top of the Sentinel, where most of the bullet holes seem to be focused.

"Met her here, actually. A few weeks ago. Was checking out some street art, came across a piece done by her ex."

Arsenal has posed:
"Bonded over a painting huh? Well, you always did like art museums." Roy quips, But then he laughs. "You are a shitty liar, Red." or at least Roy hopes Jason was lying...Roy needs relationship happiness too, Damnit!

Roy though kneels down and takes a good look at the Sentinel before Jason speaks. "You meanthe giant red bastard flew down and helped you guys out? Well, Guess we're in good with the Russians...said no one ever." Roy grins. "Think we could trace it's origins? boot up a hard drive or something? I figure this thing has a home base designation somewhere in that hunk of junk."

Red Hood has posed:
"I'm sure the one for you is out there, Roy." God only knows /where/ but she has to be, right? Jason can have hopes for his friend. Thoughts and Prayers. Thoughts and Prayers.

"Actually, no armor. She's got like this cybernetic arm and eye. You'd probably find it hot." comes the response from the Hood as he steps closer to the Sentinel. "There was a second shooter." The lower body has entry holes, not just exit ones. As he looks around, he considers. "Toss me one of your arrows, Roy."

If he does, he sets the arrow in one of the holes, turning it until it fits properly to point in the direction of the other shooter.

It's right next to Crime scene B.

Arsenal has posed:
"Woah."

Robot arms ARE pretty hot, but Roy isn't too focused on that. "Well, here's hoping right? and....huh." Roy thinks he's onto Jason's thought process, so he pulls out one of his non-lethal arrows and gives it to Jason, watching him do his work.

"Would ya look at that?"

"Lotta implications here, but I suppose we should give Site B a bit of a peek." and he takes one long look at site A before gesturing with his head for Jason to follow.

Red Hood has posed:
As Roy approaches site B, there's a very expensive car parked there, with it's door still open. The outline of the body is there in front of it, facing with it's head away from the car - as if the body had fallen forward. While most of the area has been cleaned of evidence, a small glint of metal may catch Arsenal's eye.

Jason himself is moving towards something else. He's following the path of the bullets, his eyes focused on the ground as he scans the concret and bricks. "She's Russian, though. You know how tough those are to crack."
