Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: June Connor, Dragon

June Connor has posed:
June frowns as she walks up to the dojo. "Okay," she comments to herself. "Guess this is it. She wears black jeans that have een shredded Over it is a rather ordinary green coat, and her shoulder bears a blue denim backpack. She steps up, trying the door. "Just what you need June, get yourself another sensei, cuz the last turned out so good."

Dragon has posed:
As soon as June enters, to the far corner of hte room, passed the sparring mats and training weapons, is Richard Dragon, dressed in the traditional garb of a Chinese Master, he seems to be meditating. Then of course, June's voice is easily heard by him. "Welcome, June." he stands up then, his hands clasping behind his back as he approaches.

"Would you like some tea? I have oolong currently being prepared. How are you faring today?"

June Connor has posed:
"Hey," June says, taking in the traditional look. "Damn, you got the showmanship down," she observes, dropping the bag, and unzipping her coat. "Yeah, tea would be good, thanks," she acquiesces. If there's something she has learned about asian cultures. You don't snub the tea.

Dragon has posed:
Richard simply has an amused look in his eye before he turns to fetch some tea. As soon as he returns, he hands her a small cup of oolong. "Be careful, it is hot." he then sips his own cup of tea. "are you ready for the training?"

June Connor has posed:
"I think this is the part where I say yes, followed by a montage where I break down crying because I'm not, right?" June gives a sardonic grin with her assessment. She circles the tea, smelling it, and then drinks it, holding the cup in both hands. Perfect execution of how a woman is supposed to receive tea in traditional chinese culture. Someone taught her something somewhere down the line.

Dragon has posed:
Richard simply chuckles. "That is up for you to decide." he takes a final sip of his tea, setting it aside. "Tell me, do you know of the Wing Chun style?" he asks her in curiousity, approaching one of the Mook Yan Jong wooden dummies in the Dojo and standing beside it. clearly, the bottom, middle, and top of the dummy can all rotate individually.

Was he intending to make her train on this? has she ever used one before?

June Connor has posed:
The ratty sneakers that cover her feet are kicked off, knowing at some point she will end up on the mat, and she kicks them together in a moderately clean fashion. "Nah," she says, "Ninjitsu. I mostly focused on single strikes. You don't gotta be able to fight too well if you drop your opponent in one, right?" she lets her tongue ring flick out, and she bites it idly between her teeth.

Dragon has posed:
Richard simply nods as she speaks. "One cannot always trust the art of ninjutsu. Against an experienced ninjutsu master, or simply someone who is alert, it will prove very useless to you. Which is why you must learn to fight in close quarters without the use of surprise. Strike at the dummy. Open palm."

June Connor has posed:
June glances down, wearing her jeans and a Strokes T-shirt, she hasn't even changed to work out yet. Piercings are all still in, and she gives a toss of the neon blue hair. "Okay," she accepts the challenge. The strike is simple, has decent power behind it, though decidedly less than a master such as Richard would be able to deliver as her palm slams forward toward the dummy.

Dragon has posed:
Richard watches as she strikes, decent power behind it. Not bad. Form is a little sloppy, but she doesn't know how. "Strike it like you mean to. Do you mean to hit it, or simply give it a shove? Strike." June will notice that as she strikes, the dummy starts to rotate on the top level, and if she's not careful, she'll get struck by the arms on either side.

June Connor has posed:
Junes strike comes back, and she blocks the arm, shifting and striking with the other hand. This time with a great deal more force. Perhaps anger, given the body posture. Violence can be therapeutic. She pulls her arm back to deflect the spinning body again, the wooden arm bouncing harmlessly on her forearm.

Dragon has posed:
Richard nods approvingly as June starts putting some more force behind it, as well as blocking the arms that come her way. "Widen your feet and twist your hips. It gives you more power with the blow as opposed to standing in front of it." he then seems to circle around June. "Do not use your anger. Passion is a strength. Anger is a weakness."

June Connor has posed:
"I dunno," she comments with a cock of one eyebrow. "Sounds like the same thing to me," she defines. She widens her feet as told, then slams her palm against it again. And again.

Dragon has posed:
"You want to feel strong, to have those strong emotions to push you forward. but to be angry is to be sloppy. to be sloppy is to fall. to fall means the possibility of death." Richard is very straightforward, but he continues to watch as she strikes over and over again, until she's mastered the most basic strike.

June Connor has posed:
She strikes the dummy again, and again. "Well, I don't know much else," she laughs offensively. "So, just gotta play the hand I'm dealt, right?" She closes her fist, and delivers a closed fist punch, harder than the rest of the blows. Probably didn't feel great on her knuckles, but she doesn't let on.

Dragon has posed:
Richard sits down cross-legged, sipping on his tea as he watched June go to bare knuckle brawling. Richard shakes his head. "Why bloody your knuckles when you can strengthen your palm?" he says softly to himself, training June's core as she continues her training.
