Dealing with Arms Dealers: Financial Troubles

Synopsis:	A Bank Robbery aided by Domino is dealt with by Green Arrow and Black Canary... until the Joker comes along and takes advantage of the chaos.

Green Arrow has posed:
Greenvale national bank. It had a branch on the edge of the Glades, with security to match. The main office was somewhere off to the eastern side of Canada. This office is on a corner intersection with it's own small parking lot... and lots of empty space around it.

Tonight is a strange night for those inside, because for the last five minutes they've been held hostage by eight bank robbers in balaclava and black combat fatigues that came in two vans. The police are already on their way from the silent alarm, but are still minutes out. They probably won't make it in time to intercept.

Unluckily for them, Green Arrow keeps tied into police bands with his commlink, and he and Black Canary were on Green Arrows Skybike already on their way. Much faster than police cruisers, they stand a good chance of interception.

Black Canary has posed:
Black Canary is clinging tightly to Arrow on the improbable flying vehicle - she is not a fan of it. She murmurs over the radios in the helmets, "I could simply throw a sonic mine in there and mak everyone drop - then go in and just take out all the robbers while they can't focus from the sound?" She is waiting for Arrow to land this crazy contraption.

Domino has posed:
Sitting on the counter near the back of the bank sits one Domino. She wears the overcoat to hide all the guns strapped to her. With a sigh she looks around.. "Where are they going to get here!" she says with a sigh looking over at the other eight people. She had been hired to be here, but she didn't have to rob the bank while there were that many people here to do it. Besides she came here for another reason.. It seemed like a long shot, but she might show up here, and she needed to be here if she did. She had a few new tricks for her if she showed up, but to be there she had to be on the job... Still that didn't help the waiting.. Dang heros!

So she sat there waiting bored looking at the others.. "Go on.. get to stuffing bags we aint got all day." the lot of them were of no intrest to her perhaps she would kill them later. Yes.. They were villians she could kill them. Oh and she would enjoy it.. The thoughts go through her head as she coldly watches the room now her gaze falling to the hostages. "Someone make a run for it.. I am growing bored."

Green Arrow has posed:
In another minute, the reserves at the bank vault are empty, and the seven others are just giving Domino dirty glares as she goes on.

It's around the time that Green Arrow and Black Canary are a few blocks away that the boss of the robbery shouts, "GO!" The two black unmarked van drivers start to speed away north, along the straight road. Two hostages from the bank were taken with them, in case of pursuit.

"Let's see how many there are before we go in with shock and awe love." Green Arrow notes as he turns the Skybike just so, angling the bike back to the ground just across the street... only for one of the employees to run out, then another, then another.

One recognizes the duo on the bike, "They went that way, and took hostages!" The blonde man points north, along the road. Green Arrow grunts as he starts to drive that way, on the ground. "It'll be easier if we can get their tires. I need to drive, so you can hit them with a Canary Cry."

Black Canary has posed:
Black Canary nods slowly as she sighs. "It'll be hard to aim. You have your earplugs, in, right sweetie?" she calls as she leans to the side as well as she can - she waits patiently for Ollie to get into position - taking a deep breath - readying herself. She doesn't like hte skybike - but it's not the kind of thing that she's _afraid_ of. She waits - taking her time - then when she has a clear shot - she tenses - and with her mouth just barely open - emits a narrow Canary Cry blast, like a scalpel, to take out the back left tire.

Domino has posed:
She followed the group shoving one of the hostages into the black van. She hated witnesses, but ya know heros what are ya going to do. She shoved the one against the side of the van as the doors closed behind her. Pushing her way forward to the passenger seat she adjusted the mirrors as they spead off. She gives a small smile, and speaks up.. "Never lucky" she says to herself as she reaches under her jacket. It seems to be some kind of detinator though in one solid motion she rips some wires from it, and tosses it out the window.

She calmly takes out some ear-phones, and puts on the soundtrack of this crazy movie about some dude that regenerated super fast.. Reminded her of Wade. As they race closer she gets out of the seat and leans against the side of the van. She pulls some guns that look like rifles with large clips, as she is nodding her head to the beats as she braces herself. "Now.." she says, and this is right when Black Canary is starting the yell.

The Van hits the breaks quick as the door that opens towards the driver slides out of the way with the sudden jerking stop. Right inside is Domino with those large guns pointed out at them shooting a rain of bullets with both of them right as the door passes her. What the others in the van don't know is that they are rubber bullets.. They may hurt, even incapacitate after enough of them, but it would take a lot more then this to kill. Though the bad side to this is the kind she has seems to be bouncing as it hits something solid. The ricochet's seem to be going everywhere, though it may seem strange or just a good angel but they are not bouncing back into the van.

Green Arrow has posed:
"What the-" Green Arrow doesn't have time to finish that sentence as he suddenly turns the Skybike in a 90 degree angle, away from the rain of gunfire, "that's new." Green Arrow muses as he heads down the side street.

Black Canary didn't get the back left tire... but rather the force hit the side of the van, causing the drivers head to slam into the side of his door, knocking him out.

The other van is still speeding along, "that's going to be a problem." Green Arrow grates out as he turns another corner, moving to intercept the two vans. "They'll be coming up on your left this time."

Black Canary has posed:
Black Canary yelps as she got grazed by a few of the bullets - frowning. "Rubber?" she finally asks, wincing. "They're not real!" As they go after the second van, she sighs. "This is harder to do while moving like this... can't drop a sonic mine - it'd hurt the hostages... guess I'll go for the tires again." She focuses as she arrives, watching for more of that annoying gunfire and goes for the front tire this time with her narrow Canary Cry.

Domino has posed:
The van shakes when they hit it vearing off course a bit as the van speeds up the knocked out man must of moved his foot to the gas right after the breaks. It starts heading a bit into on coming as the door opens from the inside, as Domino gets to the drivers seat. Kicking the man out of the van going quickly heading towards oncoming the van starts speeding off as they come in for the second strike.

Hitting the tire as it turns the van wobbles, and looks like it is going to tople a couple time there are some very dramatic turns to keep it going as it still rocks after she gets it. Now sparks are flying from the back as the van does seem to start slowing down.

Though there is another issue, as the person driving it turns it towards the sidewalk going with the flat to turn sharply cutting around the corner. That is when everyone can see where they are going the subway entrance from the street just up ahead. Though now a bunch of people with guns are now getting out of the van with it being disabled. Of course so is Domino, and though you know she can see you, but she just seems to walk away from the thugs as they are grabbing the witness moving towards the subway.

Domino is walking towards what looks to be an alley away from the people moving towards the subway. She does keep an eye on you with a cold smile though she doesn't seem to be taking aim or anything. In her hands are two guns that look... well wierd.. Whatever they seem to shoot seems to be larger then bullets, though the gun is painted black with a green skull and crossbones on it.. So whatever it is was prob not good.

Green Arrow has posed:
"If you can handle them, I'll go after the straggler." Green Arrow stops just down the block, just out of sight of the van. "Something tells me she's the real threat here." Green Arrow notes as he looks in the direction of Domino going down the alley. "I should be able to cut her off at the other end."

Black Canary has posed:
Black Canary nods. "Roger. I'll take care of two vans filled with armed goons and you handle the mastermind." She then slips off the skybike and heads towards the vans, voice and fists ready for any action. She goes right to the back of the van - and tears it open - but flung herself to the side out of sight of the back.

Domino has posed:
Domino is out of sight down the block as she does like GA thinks she would do moving further into the alley. In the first van all but the driver get out looking around as one grabs a hostage. It slows the group down draggin a hostage but he does so stubbernly the person being drag even looks a litte surprised looking up at him.. "Dude really just let me go and run for it." but no.. He huffs, and drags the hostage with them.

The second van stops when the first one does so they must have some loyalty to each other. The people get out, and they shot some cover fire as they just watch the backs of the others moving where they do. Dom told them she was going to do this, and if they followed her she would kill them.

As for cutting Domino off she had no intention to running that way as she puts her dart guns away. In a blur there are two new ones with hooks shooting up to the roof she wraps the wire around what looks like the holster for one of her guns. It was obvious if you had a flying device to cut her off but as she lay flat against the wall pulling her trenchcoat up a little she pushes the button to launch her up. She hopes the proximity to the wall will cover her as she is moving up quite quickly behind the noise of the firefight.

Joker has posed:
There's a high pitch revolution of superbly design Italian steel in the city, three droning monster bees coming along through the traffic halted by the robbery. High test engines, hardcore katanas of motorcar glory, coming inbound hot, their hungry tires tearing up the asphalt and making love to the road.

Three Ferarris swerve around the corner before the main drive the bank sits on, one by one, swerving around the open intersection with tire swipes across the road. First, a green, then, a white, and finally, a purple. Matte black lines suavely caress their frames, with tinted blue windows and shining chrome rims across their oversized rubber tires.

The three Ferraris halt in place, in a line, with the purple Ferrari in the center ahead, and the other two behind on the flanks. There's a roar of engines, before the purple Ferarri kicks into gear and bucks off the line, surging forward at the bank with a cackling laugh coming from inside and the white following, then the green, speeding past the bank and towards the crippled vans.

Green Arrow has posed:
"What is this, confuse Green Arrow day?" Grouses with some amusement the Team Arrow leader. Once it's clear Domino is no longer on the ground he guns the Skybike throttle, and presses the transformation button. The tires of the Skybike one again go horizontal in their mountings, and the hubcaps facing downwards, with the machinery inside flipping out, along with the stabilizers.

Taking off from the ground, he goes into a sharp upwards turn, before he turns back around and starts to fly back over the rooftops, looking for any sign of Domino from the sky, or along the other streets. "Lost contact, Black Canary. Trying to find her again." Green Arrow starts to circle the area.

Black Canary has posed:
Black Canary nods. "Right - but your target doesn't have the hostages..." She then pops into the van and quickly disables the mooks - keeping one alive as she demands to know where the hostage is. She 'convines' him to tell, then knocks him out too as she slips out, heading towards the subway where the hostage is going. She sighs softly, wishing she could shut the subway down - or that she had her OWN ride. Note to self - no carpooling on the job. She uses every bit of cover she had as she finally manages to catch up - picks up a rock, and iwth impeccable aim throws it at one of hte bad guys.

Domino has posed:
Domino is pulling herself up over the corner as the flying skybike searches below her. She looks out past the rooftops and sighs. Freedom was right there she lost that... whoever that was for now she could just hoof it out of here, but no that would take a bit of work and she wouldn't get paid.

As GA is circling around Domino calmly pulls out a scope, and a large revolver. She is on the look out as well for a flying motorcycle and as you come around on her she is also looking for you. When she does shoot it would only take seeing the bike for an moment. Though it doesn't seem she is aiming for you as she targets what looks like the engine in the air-bike.

As the gun goes off the kick is crazy, but she holds it ready to shoot more if a target presented itself. She stands on the edge of the building this whole time she can hear the ruccus, but she isn't sure what to make off a bunch of vehicles coming in. Then she thinks about it.. That better not be Wade or that means the Avengers are on their way. Maybe she should of escaped.

As for the now beaten thugs, the one she captured starts to talk. "Please no more go get that other lady she was crazy!" he nods to her then stops.. "Umm.. they with you?" he asks as he weakly points to the cars.

Joker has posed:
The three Ferraris swerve to a halt with screaming tires and screeching brakepads, smoke coming out of the wheel wells from the abuse that the trio of drivers place into their ministrations of these gentle beasts called the modern sporting automobile.

Make love, sweet tiger, to that gas pedal.

There's a trio of clicking swings as three men get out of the cars on the driver's side. Joker, Knuckles, and Vinnie climb out, each of them hefting a fully automatic AR-15 assault rifle, the Colt Commando. Joker holds it upwards against his shoulder, looking up and down the road, leering, as he gestures at the vans to Knuckles and Vinnie.

"Come on, guys! Its free pizza day!"

The pair of muscular thugs, dressed in their standard clown costumes and carrying their weapons, trundle over to the pair of vans, each taking a van and pulling the duffel bags of cash out of the back. Knuckles and Vinnie, Joker's most trusted enforcers, dwarf even the tall and gaunt Joker, topping out at a shade under seven feet a piece, the brothers with hulking shoulders and dockworker builds.

Joker grins saccharinely from behind his open car door, although the sweetness of his lips is from the red shade, not from intent or personality trait.

Green Arrow has posed:
The police sirens are getting closer from behind the Joker gang, but the vans themselves are clear, except for a couple stragglers. The *CRACK* of a high duty revolver can he beard even as the bullet bounces off the now-dented Skybike armor.

One more shot like that will send him into freefall though... so Green Arrow has no choice but to go to ground. At least now Green Arrow knows where Domino is. Still, the newcomers are the bigger problem. One very lucky mercenary, or the infamous Joker getting away with the entire bank vault? It's not a hard choice.

Green Arrows engine is spluttering once he transforms it back to ground use. "I'm not sure, but I think the Gotham clown is here." Green Arrow grumbles over the comm as he turns the bike around and heads back to the vans a few blocks away.

He's going to be a minute. More than enough time for Joker and his friends to grab some of the bank loot, with Black Canary down in the subway.

Domino has posed:
Domino shoots, and is ready to shoot and then he just drives off. Domino stops for a minute looking at him, and laughs a bit with a shrug.. She looks like she is about to walk away then stops. With a cold smile she walks to the edge of the building, and does the loudest whistle one might make hoping the Joker hears it.

She seems to be pointing to her eyes then to the left a few times. Now this may seem wierd, but to Joker's left there is a detoniator that seems to had some wires pulled that made it stop, just one small connection and it looks like it will trigger.. well whatever it triggers.

With a nod she turns, and runs for it as if he does connect that thing she doesn't want to be anywhere near it. So off she runs not looking back.

Black Canary has posed:
And after a brief stint of kung-fu fighting, the hostages are released. Canary is staying with them, taking them to the subway. "Hostages secure... wait... WHAT? That's not possible... we're way outside his turf... of course, nobody's respecting boundaries today... I heard Angel Grove's pet sorceress visited New York City too so... this is just a day of out-of-bound baddies. I'll get the hostages home... I'm not really up for a Joker tonight."

Joker has posed:
Knuckles and Vinnie dutifully load up their Ferarris with the loot, before Joker laughs and slaps the roof of his car.

"Cops are coming, boys! Let's ride!"

The pair of felons slide into their cars loaded with cash, before Joker slides into his, and all three doors slam shut.

The high pitch engine revolutions start again, as the cars speed off down the street, swerving past a turn and evading the incoming police by dodging their street of approach. They also, of course, twist right past Green Arrow, one by one, Joker grinning as he drives past first, right at him, out the window. It's a slow grin, with his green hair waving about wildly, before he zooms past, Knuckles and Vinnie following in their sportscars.

Green Arrow has posed:
"I can see why the Bat loves him." Green Arrow quips over the comm to Black Canary as the Joker starts to leave. The white lenses of his domino mask stay on the getaway cars as he turns around with a high pitched tire screech... then guns the throttle once more before he tries to match their speed closely. Setting the Bike to cruiser control, he has a few seconds to aim his bow before he has to steer once again.

Taking the bow and approaching at an angle to the back car, an arrow is nooked... and fired at the back tire. It's a web arrow, designed to wrap ropes and straps around machinery and stop it.

Hopefully, it's enough to disable that one for the police, while he goes for the rest one at a time. Sure, he can't keep this up for long, but he can always get a new Skybike.

Joker has posed:
Vinnie's car, the green one, swerves and snags into a curb as the rear tire is trapped by the web arrow. In response, he cuts the wheel hard, and turns /into/ the trapped wheel well, pulling out in front of Green Arrow and hitting the brakes with his Ferarri across the road. Starring down the approaching vigilante on his Skybike, he lifts up his M-16 and props it across his extended left arm and the car window, frowning dourly in his clown make-up.

There's a hail of gunfire, the rifle bouncing and bobbling with the car door as a brace, aimed directly at the Skybike's front manifold - i.e., where the steering well is mounted.

Knuckles and Joker, meanwhile, break off from each other, splitting up in the city.

Green Arrow has posed:
"Oh F-" The rest is drowned out by gunfire as Green Arrow literally drops on top of the Skybike, and then jumps off to the side. Mid-Air, a regular arrow is grabbed from his mechanical quiver and shot mid-flight at the M-16; a clear attempt at disarming Vinnie.

The Skybike gets the hail of lead like a champ... but it crashes right into the side of the Ferrarri. Green Arrow hits the pavement hard, rolling with his momentum along with his bow as he tries to redirect his momentum into standing into a jog. "This is getting old. Why do people hate custom bikes today?" He quips to himself as he sprints for cover.

Looks like the Joker is getting away.

Joker has posed:
The arrow strikes the Colt Commando and knocks it out of Vinnie's hands, the gun going flying from the car to the pavement some feet away.

The door opens, and the hulking gangster slowly climbs out, dressed in black dockworker's clothing and clownface, with a little black cap. He walks over towards Green Arrow, looming over him with heavy plodding steps.

"..."

Vinnie looks down the street, at the incoming police, the swings a blow at Green Arrow, before holding his hands up.

Green Arrow has posed:
Luckily for him, Green Arrow is in incredible condition, and easily dodges the blow. He comes up into a defensive Karate stance after reorienting, and frown slightly when Vinnie /surrenders/.

"Don't you usually usually go down with the ship?" Green Arrow sounds highly amused as he instead brings up his bow into an idle stance. "The clown seems to have a way with people, I'll give him that." He continues, before he sees the police cruisers coming this way.

Time to leave.

The Skybike is clearly damaged, but it isn't destroyed. Yet. SO he drives off into the night, letting the police handle Vinnie.
