Catwoman has posed:
Downtown Gotham City, specifically the grand ballroom of the Waldorf Astoria Gotham. The room, highlighted by a large chandelier hanging from the center of the high ceiling, features a dais at the opposite end of the entryway, with multiple rows of circular tables set up in front of it. Each one is decorated with a white tablecloth, and there is a small cat-themed trinket, such as a saucer or a statue of a cat in various poses, set out for each person.

Behind the tables, an area is left open for dancing and socializing, with a DJ set up toward the back. An open bar is off to the left side, a snack area to the right, and the ballroom itself is decked out for a charity, full of balloons, streamers, banners, and lighting. That charity?

Big Cat Habitat.

It isn't local to Gotham - brochures and informational displays place it somewhere between Cheyenne and Laramie off I-80 - but it's been selected as Selina Kyle's latest feline-related place to hold a charitable function for.

The theme tonight? A Masquerade, hosted by the Kyle Foundation. Many people, from Gotham and beyond, have converged on the place for one reason or another. Perhaps, like Miss Kyle, some simply wish to do something for the kitties. A few see it as a good bit of PR or something they can use to write off during tax season. Some just like a good party. Others want the chance to see who they can recognize, for while some attendees are decked out in various types of costumes with masks that hide a little or a lot, there are also people who have chosen to let those in here - and most of them are quite wealthy indeed - see them and know exactly who they are.

Catwoman has posed:
As people arrive, they are met by a woman who looks like she may have escaped the Big Cat Habitat itself. She stands a little over five and a half feet in low heels, quick to shake a hand, offer a "Welcome" or a "So glad you could make it" or a "Hope you have a great time," also thanking each person for their donation. Her attire leaves no doubt when it comes to any inspiration. She wears a long-sleeved tiger-print dress to the knees, a modest neckline in a V, with striped patterns up and down the front and back of the outfit. It's a creamy off-white down the center in front, more tawny in back, in the sleeves, and a couple points in front where a single bar clasp meets at her midsection to hold a couple strands of fabric in place. Covering the upper portion of her face is a stylish, jeweled tiger mask, striped in a similar fashion in a velvety material with fine lacework ringing cat-like eye holes along with the outer edges of the mask itself, including ears with white insides. Fine gems are visible at the forehead, between the eyes, and right at the nose where plastic "whiskers" branch off. It's held in place by a strap around back, framing short-cropped black hair, and bright green eyes are seen through the openings. The mask ends just above a mouth painted red with lipstick. Accessories are light, kept to plain earrings, necklace, and a bracelet, all sporting a feline design of some kind. Black patent leather footwear with red soles completes the look, a three-inch heel accounting for the added height without making walking or dancing too much of a bother.

The "tigress," none other than Selina Kyle, further encourages the attendees to meet and greet one another, grab a drink or something to snack on before heading over to the tables, and settle in for the proceedings, promising them a fun evening and thanking them once again before sending them on their way. Time shall be given for them to mill about, socialize, get what they'd like from either side, then be seated.

Small cards at each table note the planned dining arrangement, based on an Italian seven-course meal: antipasto with a variety of vegetables and meats, then a mixture of soups prior to an assortment of pastas. The main entree comes next, with a vegetarian option, then it's time for salad. It winds down with fruits and cheeses, finally topped off with dessert and hot drinks such as coffee, tea, or cocoa. Each course, meant to complement the one before it, with time allowed for some to blend together with others, none too heavy on any particular type of food. Servants are soon to be in constant motion, either bringing something to or removing something from each table. Each one wears a cat-eared headband, keeping in theme.

Lex Luthor has posed:
A formal Tuxedo is Lex Luthors choice of attire tonight. The celebrity billionaire is a well known philanthropist, and is usually a mainstay at charity events... and this one is proving to be no exception.

Hope and Mercy are also in formal dresses as they go, the two infamous bodyguards keeping to their charge several feet back as Lex moves along.

He's shaking and kissing hands as he goes; Lex is a very well connected man, and it shows as most in the room recognize him by sight.

Batman has posed:
It takes Bruce a few minutes to pick up his guest. Honestly, he takes a few minutes to pull out of the manor. The Phantom always brings hard memories. Thomas Wayne enjoyed the finer things, but rarely splurged. One of his few splurges was the 1925 Black Rolls Royce Phantom. Bruce has memories of the interior of the car feeling so big. Out of all of the cars, the Phantom gets the most TLC from Bruce. He drives off to pick up his guest, Miss April O'Neil as promised earlier in the week.

She would hear the car pull up to her place. Opening up the vehicle, he steps out of the suicide door. Sky blue eyes look back to the red leather interior. A hand runs idly over the driver seat before closing the door.

Going to her apartment, he is there in the white tuxedo coat, matching button up shirt, with black bowtie and slacks. In his breast pocket there is a silky black pocket square neatly tucked. "Miss O'Neil," he offers her an arm whenever, and however, she answers him. Making it to the car, he opens all the doors for her. And that's how they arrive at the affair.

Before they step out he asks, "Want me to plug your blog for anyone that might have a camera? It could get you more clicks," Bruce gives a soft smile. Stepping out of the car, he closes the door and tries to get April's door again. "Like I said, I will introduce you to Miss Kyle so you can get the story. If you ask nicely, I'll introduce you to other faces you may want to interview. Just point, and I'll flag them down."

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
Jason Blood walks amongs the various wealthy patrons, very much at home, clad in a long, dark cloak and a hood. His face is hidden behind a classical plague doctor's mask, with a long nose and a sinister cast to the eyes. Rather than the usual white, it has a jaundiced, yellow hue, almost like aged bone, a patina of cracks along the surface. A gloved hand holds a glass of red wine. The suit beneath is obviously fine and perhaps a bit vintage, almost antiquated in its style, somewhere between deco and Victorian.

He doesn't have any servants or followers to keep him company. Jason may have great wealth and privilege, but he's always been capable of fetching his own drinks. He finds a high vantage point to watch the arrivals of the more photogenic guests, eying Wayne and Luthor alike with amused emerald eyes.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan had doctors orders not to do anything too risky. Going out to a charity function wasn't too risky for a Doctor, right? Especially when you made a donation. The red head arrives dressed in a green velvet gown with gold thread embroidery and swarovski crystals beaded over the bodice and skirt (Dress: https://tinyurl.com/y56mhg87). Her hair is in a long braid that falls down her back. She's a bit paler than usual, but nothing that would worry anyone. She didn't look at all like she got mauled a week ago. She seems to take a moment to look over the guests, seeing if she recognizes anyone before she heads off in search of a drink.

April O'Neil has posed:
Bruce Wayne had gifted April the ability to buy whatever dress she wanted from Van Dyne's collection. So she was ready when the billionaire arrived in his fancy car to pick her up. Wearing a black and gold dress, that glitters in the light, April steps out to meet him and she wears a big grin on her dark red painted lips. Her firey red hair is tied back into an intricate bun on the crown of her head and she has a matching black/gold mask held in her right hand, with a little golden 'bumblebee' on the apex of the mask's forehead.

"Wow." April says at the car. "That is an amazing vehicle..." She steps around it to view it, then looks back to him as she moves toward him, smiling at him. "This is gonna be a fun night."

Before they leave, a little flash of light emits from a sewer drain off to the side of the street and the muffled sound of arguing can be heard in the darkness down there, it sounds like a three stooges skit going on bneath the street.

Once they arrive, April looks to Bruce, wearing her mask now, covering her upper face she grins. "I won't stop the great Bruce Wayne from plugging my show, no. That kind of publicity comes with a high dollar value, you know." And then she takes his arm and is lead along. "I eagerly look forward to meeting Miss Kyle... this is quite an event she's put together."

Arella Despana has posed:
Arriving with Lex the proverbial fish out of water Arella Despana the recently Earth locked Svartalfar or Dark Elf attends the event as Lex's 'date'. Boy does she ever stand out - blue grey skin and large green eyes with stringy white hair. She is dressed in a one piece dress with impressive decolletage that she fills out quite well. She has the figure of a supermodel if a bit more on the voluptuous than skinny side. The Papparazzi of course inundate her - an open alien attending the event. She holds up her had to suppress the glare and catches up to Lex having exited the limo behind him.

"This is a ball?" Arella asks. She is used to the attention as she was a curiousity but she was still looking forward to the time when she would become a mundane sight.

Gambit has posed:
Anyone who knows Remy would likely not actully recognize the man who pulls up. A bright yellow Ferrari that looks like it is doing at least 90 miles an hour...while parked.. It also has right hand steering which should make things confusing for the vallet. His suit is a blend of red and black, partened in swirls that seem to almost come alive on the silk. His mask too is black wires with red glittering chips near the eyes giving him an almost demonic cast. Of course his own eyes, fully visible and als red on black add to the effect, making him look like an elegant demon stepped straight out of the underworld. He bows to his hostess, offering her his wicked smile, "'Ello dare chere, nice ta see yah." He offers before heading in.

Shadowcat has posed:
Some of the arrivals spend time out amongst the paparazzi, posing for photographs and doing all that they can to make sure that they are seen. Others pause just long enough to be polite before making their way inside. Included in the latter are a quartet that arrive together in a stunning, white Rolls Royce (2KJNj61.jpg). Jason Todd is wearing a tuxedo and a silver mask as he strides past the paparazzi, letting them click whatever pictures they manage before he has led insides the ladies who have come with him.

(Jason's mask: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0165/4414/products/Vivo_Product-21-Edit_grande.jpg?v=1473490508)

Kitty Pryde is on his arm. The brunette is wearing a black strapless evening gown, that the fashionistas would recognize as being an older dress from one of the better designers. She has on a black mask done to simulate lace that melds gently along her the contours of her face. Kitty's eyes are rather bright and excited as she looks about the spectacle.

Kitty looks back to smile to Barbara Gordon and Carrie Kelley as the four are moving together in a group. She makes sure if either of them pause for pictures that Jason and Kitty wait as well, until they are all able to walk in together, heading towards Selina to greet the hostess.

Emma Frost has posed:
Having arrived not too early and not too late, Emma Frost is in attendance. Though it is difficult to tell since she's wearing a mask along with her masquerade gown, thus hiding her identity from the press outside. It is part fashion, part costume. Demure and daring at the same time. A blend of all things, much like the woman who wears it. (OOC Dress: jZrBIyh.jpg )

She is circulating the room, a flute of champagne in hand that she sips from between small talk. For her, this is a social moment with a bit of telepathic exploration for fun. One never knows what tidbits one might pick up at an event such as this, which will give her a step up in business.

Oracle has posed:
With all the glamourous well to dos coming to the gala, Barbara Gordon feels a little under dressed, but she'd promised Jason she'd get out for a change and she's a woman of her word. Dressed in a strapless black gown with an elaborate feathered mask trimmed Maude Gras mask, she works her way towards the entrance with an uneasy smile. A few of the journalist recognize the Commissioners Daughter and she stops to pose for at least one picture, but otherwise does her best to keep a low profile and remain with the group she arrived with.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley is quite happy to avoid any pictures at all. Walking through the entrance made her feel more discomfitted than the outfit she was wearing by far. While others wore designer this and designer that... It was hard to pinpoint just where her dress came from. Namely because it wasn't designer anything. Still it fit well, and the golden fabric clung to her figure nicely. Along with the golden feathered mask she wore she could at least pretend to be hiding as she strides along behind the couple of Kitty, and Jason. https://imgur.com/a/Nadlw8F

"I'm going to feel so much better when we get inside proper," she murmurs while flashing a smile toward Kitty when she looks back toward them. There's a little 'go on' motion of her hand to urge them forward as she pauses to give the woman greeting them at the entrance a polite nod. "Thank you for hosting this wonderful evening. I hope the preserve gets what it needs and more."

Shadow has posed:
The Jaguar line of cars may not /quite/ have the class and reputation of Rolls Royce, but their high-end models leave little room to doubt that the owner has more money than they know what to do with, and is willing to pay extra just for the style factor.

Benny can't quite repress a whistle as he drives up to the W-A hotel. "Been a while since you had this girl roll out, Boss. Planning to impress someone?"

Natasha shoots him a mock-glare from the back seat, but the smile teasing along her lips takes any real admonishment out of it. "The evening's yours once you've dropped me off. Enjoy yourself - I have a cover to maintain."

"Yeah, yeah. Hobnobbing with the rich an' beautiful, drinking excellent champagne and eating gourmet food. Real big sacrifice you make for the cause, Boss..."

Natasha is still laughing when Benny pulls the Jaguar up to the start of the carpet and she steps out, offering a smile and a wave for the paparazzi, giving just a slight twitch of her hips to show off the full-length black gown that all but shimmers under the photo flashes as she makes her way to Selina. "Miss Kyle, thank you so much for the invitation. Such a lovely venue; I'm looking forward to the evening already..."

A brief exchange of pleasantries, and she makes her way inside and to her assigned table.

Batman has posed:
Bruce is not wearing a mask. Stepping out with April, he moves away from her. Both hands gestures to her, "April O'Neil, folks. Truthseekers, available on all podcast platforms," he lets the woman take a little bow. "It's a regular on my personal devices," and he offers his arm for her again. "And she's single ladies and gentleman. Move quickly should you want podcast royalty in the making!" he calls out and flashes a smile to the crowd before making his way inside. A look is given to April, "Do you want me to go in for a second pass? I mean, it is a free plug," he smiles and looks forward. Now is the time to see who he recognizes. He did get a look at one of the cars. A particular white rolls royce, modern, did come from the Wayne Garage. The children couldn't be seen in their...Corolla. Bruce practically stappled the car keys in someone's hands before leaving.

Catwoman has posed:
Selina Kyle, the tigress, takes a few moments with some people, a few longer ones with others. Paparazzi outside have already had the chance to get their shots of her, many of them vying for attention from the mysterious Gotham City socialite nobody seems to know that much about. Even within the ballroom, some media is allowed in for the purpose of documenting the event and spreading it around. Particular moments:

* For Remy, a second glance and a small smile, a polite, "Nice outfit," for him. One might guess he seems somewhat familiar, but it could be nothing.

* For Emma, a bright grin at the attire. "Stunning, darling. I almost went with something formal, but I thought this would stand out more."

* For the mysterious Jason Blood, there is a slightly longer look. "Ah, very 'period' with that one. I like it."

* For Kitty and Jason, a pause to note the pair. "You look good together. And you said you go by Kitty? Very fitting." Spotting Carrie along with them she adds, "Friend of yours? Shiny. Make yourselves comfortable."

* For Lex and his guards, a few extra moments are given to him. "Great to see you, Mr. Luthor...ladies. I was wondering if this would attract someone of your stature and importance. I hope you find it worth your while. There's a spot up front if you like." A pause follows as she takes in the sight of Arella, like many others. She determines it to be real, evidently, adding, "You and your guest."

* For Morrigan, a quick bow of the head. "Thanks for coming. The colors suit you."

* For Natasha, a beamed smile. "I've been looking forward to it for weeks. I do so love a ball."

* For Barbara, a thumbs-up. "Nice look. I might have to claim a feather for myself before the night's over." She mimes a swipe at the mask, winking.

* For Bruce and April, last but not least, she must have been watching for them. "Nice ride, Bruce. Very you. And you're looking purrrrrfect tonight. Who's your plus-one? Is this the reporter you were telling me about? Miss O'Neil? We'll have to make time before the night's over." Leaning closer, she whispers in Bruce's ear, "You're up front next to me. She can join us if she likes. You and I are presenting the check at the end."

April O'Neil has posed:
April has to contain herself. She's not from this kind of society level. She's a poor girl from Brooklyn... So this is a bit of a fish out of water evening for her, to be here with Bruce Wayne of all people no less. She's all smiles while he shamelessly plugs her podcast to the media and she reaches up with her right hand to place it gently on his shoulder. "You're the best." She says to him. "One round is enough, really. I don't want them to think I've got some kind of dirt on you now." She says with a grin, her hand going up to gently adjust her black/gold bumblebee mask against her nose and eyes.

As they approach Selina, April will offer her a hand. "Its me indeed, the Reporter." April says with a grin for her. "Thank you for putting this together, I'd love to have you on my show sometime to talk about all of your charitable endeavors. I'm a big fan of this stuff." She seems eager, a bit fidgety but she's holding it together.

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau pauses slightly, the way high society is, his name still get's passed around these things from time to time, and he hadn't had any plans for the evening since Rogue had other plans already, so he thought "What the heck," and went. Meeting SElina however was...strange. For some reason she made him think of Venice of all things, though she certainly wasn't Italian. Still he is poised and relaxed. Not like he's going to likely run into anyone who knows him here, right?

Remy's suit: https://goo.gl/images/X9KjzB and MAsk: https://goo.gl/images/MJUwHL the one on the left

Oracle has posed:
Babs returns Selina's thumbs up and smile, "Well, I would gladly give you one, Ms. Kyle. This is stunning. All of it, I'm very impressed." Motioning to what she's put together for the sake of animal relief. "I regret that my father couldn't be here." The work of the Commish never ends. Still smiling, she looks to her party of three, and pats Jason's shoulder as she passes, "I'm going to go say hello to Bruce, save me a seat?" She asks with a glance at both Kitty and Carrie as well.

Red Hood has posed:
Glancing aside to Kitty, Jason can't help but to give the brunette a grin. "Promise you this. Next weekend, we'll stay at home - get some Oops! All Berries, and watch futbol games all weekend." he says warmly to his date before his attention drifts to Carrie and Barbara. "Ain't we just the social awkward breakfast club. I'm the druggie, Kitty's the weird girl, Carrie's the nerd, and Barbara's the Princess. All we need is a jock." there's a wink towards them as he reaches to snag a tray of drinks from a passing waiter.

As they're greeted by Selina, he gives a nod to the woman. "Hello Ms. Kyle. I'm one of the more recluse kids." he says with a chuckle. "I don't know how you convinced the old man to give a speech, but don't let that secret, I don't think I have enough formal suits to match the events." There's a chuff of a laugh, before he nods to Kitty. "This is Katherine Pryde. She goes by Kitty, totally appropriate for a thing like this, right?" he comments, before Barbara is excusing herself. "Sure. Let him know where we're sitting so he doesn't think we ducked out of this to go get wings and beer and watch horror movies instead."

Lex Luthor has posed:
"This is a formal ball." Lex corrects Arella in between mingling. "Party Balls tend to be more high activity affairs... but this is meant more for connections and for fundraising worthy causes." Lex is directing Arella around fairly expertly on his arm; an open alien at a charity event... with /Lex Luthor/ no less? The man makes no secret of his distrust of aliens, so this will likely send tongues wagging, if they know the context.

When Selina approaches the four, Lex gives her a warm smile, "Ms. Kyle. I hardly get out to Gotham these days, so I was happy for the excuse to come out this way. The Gotham branch will be handling arrangements, but I do plan to be generous towards your goal. Far too often we forget about the neglected."

Then, Bruce Wayne is sighted, and Lex turns his way slightly with Arella, "That's Bruce Wayne over there... one of my few potential peers amongst my circles. He and I have a few common interests." A look to Emma, "That'd be The headmistress for one of the better schools out there." A look to Natasha, "She's a bit lower on the totem pole as it were... the rest seem to be more associates."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a dip of her head to Selina, "Thank you." she tells her with a smile that curves her crimson lips up. She had stopped for a few photos. Because even some people follow popular medicine and things of that nature. Though inside she gets herself a drink and moves off to the side to people watch for the moment. She couldn't find the plague doctor again, so she settles on others for the moment.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
"Wait, since when did *I* become the nerd?" Carrie pipes up giving Jason a glower. A little indignant toss of her hair sends it over one shoulder as she'd done the length up in some loose and bouncy curls. And she was called 'the friend' by Selina she merely nods resisting the urge to sigh quietly. THIS is why she wasn't looking forward to coming. She was a nobody among a group of people showing off for everyone. "I'm going to get a drink," she decides as she steps away from the rest of her group to sashay toward the area where she could do just that.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde smiles to Barbara and nods. "We need to pay him a visit as well in a bit," Kitty says, looking over and spotting Mr. Wayne with his date. If Bruce Wayne looks their way she gives him a smile and wave before her attention is pulled back by Jason Todd introducing her to Selina Kyle. "Very nice to meet you, Ms. Kyle. It looks like a wonderful charity. I've been looking forward to tonight for awhile," the slender brunette says, giving Selina a warm smile before they move past to make way for other people to greet the hostess.

Kitty smiles over to Carrie. "You look fabulous," Kitty tells Carrie before taking a moment to look about the room. Her eyes move past Remy Lebeau at first before coming back to him and doing a double-take as she recognizes him. "I see a friend I didn't expect," Kitty comments to Jason Todd and Carrie Kelley.

Kitty waits until Remy is looking her way and gives him a little wave to get his attention. Whether he recognizes her or not, the young woman is motioning for him to come join the quartet, made trio after Barbara Gordon moves off.

Shadow has posed:
"Doesn't everyone?" Natasha responds jokingly to Selina, sharing a laugh before she continues on into the ballroom. She flashes another smile at Bruce as their eyes meet, but continues on with exchanging pleasantries with various acquaintances.

Emma Frost has posed:
As she picks up a few tidbits about insider trading, Emma has to smile behind her glass. She moves slowly around the tables, finding where she is assigned to sit for the meal. Not time yet. She gives a nod to a few people at a distance, unable to speak to them until the room shifts enough for them to get closer. Her mind is elsewhere though, working her way through bits of information then moving on to the next.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
There are entrances, and there are entrances. Entering the ballroom is a woman dressed in an elaborate full-length corset dress in white and silver, lace adorned and looking straight out of a period drama. Her face is masked with an elaborate Venetian carnival mask with white feathers and pearls, with a vaguely feline appearance, and a white lace hand fan. She has taken the theme on a slightly odd tangent, dressing up as someone dressing up as a cat at an 18th century masque. By her side is a tiger.

Yes, an actual tiger, apparently. It's not even on a leash, and would appear to be an incredibly dangerous party prop.

Even more intriguingly, the pair is introduced as 'Master Damian Wayne and mam'selle Nicolette.' It's anyone's guess which is which, neither looks much like Damian.

The tiger, wearing a black leather collar studded with diamonds. It followed and paced behind Colette as she entered the ballroom, looking around to everyone and snarling its large teeth, only softening up to the young woman it came in with. The colors were vivid, black, white, and orange. To even the most familiar with large animals, it seemed to be the real deal.

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau raises an eyebrow as he recognizes Kitty, a slight quirk of his brow at actully seeing her here. He remembers her mentioning that she was seeing someone in Gothem, but he hadn't connected A to B yet. Still he moves closer, seeming just as at ease in his suit as he normally does in ripped jeans and a trench coat. "Why Ms. Pryde, fancy seein' yah 'ere. All de gin joints in all de world an' such."

Arella Despana has posed:
"Ah," says Arella. If you can get past the pointy ears, the overlarge green eyes, the white hair and the blue grey skin she does have the dimensions of a human female. Quite aggressively so. And she seems to have adapted to the awkward niceties of human attire. She can even balance in high heels. She waves to April who she recognises.

"They don't seem to be too disturbed by my being here. That is nice." To Selena Kyle she nods her head and introduces herself, "I am Arella Despana," anyone who folowed the news would know that already. The 'recent arrival' who crashed of all places into Canada.

Batman has posed:
Dipping a hand inside a breast pocket, Bruce pulls out a silver mask. Black accents show at various points. The mask does very little to actual conceal hims features. (The Mask: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1302/2171/products/1_grande.jpg?v=1468339396 ) "Thank you for your kindness, Miss Kyle," Bruce takes her hand and kisses the back of it as he dips down. Sky blue eyes look forward as he is told something, he gives a nod.

Then he gives a wave to Kitty Pryde, "Those are associates of mine. I'm sure a few of them are fans if you want to mingle," he says. More people are pointed out to April, "Alexander Luthor. His reprutation proceeds him. Arella is his assistant, wonderful woman." He keeps going until Barbara approaches, "Barbara, this is April O'Neil. April O'Neil, this is a big fan of Truthseekers, Barbara Gordon." he waits for the redhead to gush.

Red Hood has posed:
Hearing the announcement of Damian and Colette, Jason glances over and spots ... Colette with the tiger. "...oh shit, he went full Edgar Allen Poe on us." he hoots with a laugh, waiting for Cassie to return with the drinks. "I wonder if she put a bell on it." And he totally wants to make some here kitty kitty jokes, but Kitty's /right/ next to him.

And he'll try not to be a total jerk tonight, as the Cajun man arrives at the table. The young man glances from Kitty to the man as he addresses her and rises to his feet for a moment in greeting. He'll let Kitty handle the actual introductions, but he knows the whole proper etiquette thing. Somewhat.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan's bright violet gaze swings over when she hears a big cat snarling. Wow. That's a real tiger. The redhead scoots a bit down the wall and just watches to see if that's a cat from the sanctuary or if a guest brought one. That's a very risky accessory.

Catwoman has posed:
Selina Kyle notes to the bumblebee-styled reporter, "I'm not the most outgoing girl around, but charity is not for my benefit. It's for those who need it more. If some of us are in a position to give to a good cause, I see it as our responsibility as good citizens."

She has a sly grin for Barbara Gordon and Jason Todd, but for entirely different reasons. To the former, she says, "A Police Commissioner's work is never done, is it? It's a shame Gordon couldn't be here, though. Send him warm greetings, would you?" As for Jason, she notes, "This is the time for a little flash, some showing off. Nothing wrong with a bit of attention from time to time, is there?"

Lex gets a bright smile beneath the visage of the tiger mask. "Well, I'm sure I can speak for the focus of this charity when I say they'll appreciate whatever you're offering. It's a chance to show them someone's paying attention."

She nods once to Arella, adding, "A fine name. Very exotic, just like yourself. I don't think I've ever seen anyone quite like you, but you're welcome here."

Then, even Selina Kyle, dressed as the tiger tonight, stops and stares at what's just come in. A woman with, apparently, an actual tiger? And Damian Wayne announced as part of it? She begins to usher others toward their tables, turning back to the scene as she approaches. Now, cats in general just seem to take to her, so this could be interesting. "That doesn't look like a service animal to me, miss. What's all this?" She's giving a close look at the tiger, more than anyone or anything else. Voice dropped, she adds, "This better be safe."

April O'Neil has posed:
April smiles to Selina's response and nods a single time before she steps away from her. "I completely agree." She smiles to her then and steps off to let others speak with the woman behind all of this.

She regards Bruce, then lets her blue eyes look out from behind her mask to those that he indicates. Arella gets a wave and a smile from the Brooklyn girl in the gold and black. "I've actually met her before." She says back to Bruce. "A chance meeting, at a shootout... of all things."

When he introduces her directly to Barbara, April will offer her a hand. "Really?" She asks. "Gosh, I'm always humbled to meet anyone who's even heard of what I do." She states with a grin.

Oracle has posed:
Babs leans in to exchange a hug with Bruce, "Bruce Wayne.. You certainly look dashing as ever." A wink to the playboy then she turns to April, "Ms. O'Neil, I absolutely love your podcast." Taking the reporters hand, "I sort of do a lot of work online anyways and have a soft spot for a reporter that's unafraid to tell the truth in a world of corperate and government misdirection." Shaking, even grinning a little. "Anyways, huge fan. Maybe we can get together sometime? I run a computer programming company, I'm sure I can help you get your podcast out to a wider audience."

Stardust has posed:
"Safe is such a relative word, no?" comes the reply from the woman with the tiger to Selina. Her accent is quite distinctly French (which may come as a surprise to Damian). "He is I would say considerably more dangerous than the average tiger. However he is superbly well trained." A faint smile plays on her lips. "May I introduce to you Damian Wayne, son of Bruce Wayne? He is uh... most greatly inspired by your cause. It is in sympathy to the plight of these magnificent creatures that he..." she gestures to the tiger with her fan. "As you can see. He has decided to adopt the very form of the poor creatures, so as better to understand them. Admirable, no? Also, he feels a sabbatical from the human race was very much to be desired. "

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde smiles as she sees the reaction from Bruce Wayne. Kitty looks back to her companions then and rises as Remy comes over to join them. "Remy Lebeau, this is Jason. Jason Todd," she says, introducing the two men. "And this lovely young woman is Carrie Kelley," Kitty says, motioning to Carrie before the other woman gets too far away. Carrie, whose dress and hair make her a veritable vision in gold and red tonight. "I didn't realize you'd be here," she tells Remy with a soft laugh. "You're looking good. Great mask."

Kitty will slip her hand into Jason's once she's introduced her friends to Remy and Jason's hand frees up. As any greetings are exchanged amongst them, Kitty glances about the room to see what new dresses and masks have come by. Kitty gives a small gasp at the sight of the tiger, looking around to make sure no one else is panicking.

As Kitty does look around, she catches sight of someone else. The tiger didn't make Kitty tense, but now her hand suddenly tightens on Jason's.

~ Emma Frost is here. Of course she is. ~ The thought is less chilly than the woman's name. But only by a few degrees.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley pauses in her trek to get a drink when Kitty mentions someone here she knew, and waves toward whomever it was. For a moment she hesitates uncertainly about whether she ought to finish getting drinks or... She's saved a bit by a waitress passing by with a tray. "Oh, would you mind if I...? Thank you." A couple of glasses are whisked off the tray full of something clear and bubbly which she then sets back on the tabletop.

Then her attention is pulled away by the entrance with green eyes widening. "Huh. ... Damian pulls off drag *really* well." The corners of her lips quirk in a little grin at the joke.

When Kitty introduces her she dips her head toward Remy in greeting. The golden feathers of her mask hold her ginger hair out of her face at least, and she smiles. "Love the mask. Very much an El Dia De La Muertos vibe."

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
The tiger keeps close to Colette, looking up at Selina as she inspects him. The tiger's eyes were that distinct color of green that Damian had.

The tiger emits a purr, which in a creature this big, sounds more like a growl than anything. He responds with Colette in agreeance, giving a small roar accented with a high timbre.

Danger has posed:
Danger had heard about this thing. She had heard some people of importance were going and that people she knew might be there. A ball! She had heard of such things through both internet as well as movies she watched. She was very excited about the idea of going. It seemed that someone would need to make a donation and dress up to get in. Dressing up wasn't really a problem as she can make clothing with a snap. Donating however...

Meanwhile in the main building of a Warlord in Africa, known for his work in drugs, slaves, and poaching, a man stares in confusion, "Bello! Bello!" The man yells and stands up, knocking his chair down, "WHat hte hell are you doing?" A young man comes running in all confused.
"Sir? What do you mean what am I doing?" The young man seems genuinely surprised.
"My money! It's...it is leaving!" He declares and points then at the man again, "Find out what is happening! Find out! Now!"

Meanwhile, Selina's chairty is getting a rather hefty donation from a one Dana Ger. The very same Dana who is now walking in with a smile, her hair falling to her shoulders in a far more styled spikey, layered mess that looks almost purposeful and a purple tuxedo with more feminine style pants that flare at the base around high heeled boots. On her face is a typical mask, though the theme is an almost sci-fi style tiger theme.

She is introduced as a Mam'selle Dana Ger and she nods to the person doing so even as she then spots the tiger and gets a little giddy as she declares kitty and starts toward Damian and Colette's direction like a happy little thing.

Back in Africa, "Bello...the men were to be paid today right? We...we should leave. Before they discover htey are not getting any money." Bello looks at the man speaking and nods before looking at the screen with a big 0 on it and then swallows.
"I will...uh start the helicopter, sir."

Red Hood has posed:
"A pleasure, Mr. LeBeau." Jason greets Remy, a smile offered to Carrie when she returns with the drinks. Though as his hand is grasped, his Red Hood senses tingle - oh wait. It's bad enough that Kitty stole his thought schtick, and even picked up a pretty color, but then he's looking at Emma.

"She's a little old to be going strapless." he comments. "Someone should get her a shaw." he shrugs his shoulders, his attention returning to Kitty. And a quiet look shared between them. There's a story. He wants it. Not //right// now, but soon.

Batman has posed:
"Barbara, you should save the compliments for young dashing fellows such as," Bruce gives a nod toward Remy LeBeau. They have never met, as far as he can remember, and Bruce just picked that face out because of the rogueish good looks plus that small blip of youth. Sky blue eyes look to the young Miss Gordon. A look is given to to the young woman. "You'll still make this old man blush," he adds. And Bruce supresses an urge to look at Jason. That comment from long ago still hits close to home.

Bruce is all smiles, "Barbara is a smart individual. Should you ever need a second hand on deck, I would recommend her. If she is unavailable, I would listen to any recommendations she may suggest." nd this is Bruce trying to help all parties. Barbara's friends are people she trusts, and are probably connected to him somehow. To Bruce, this is just one hand washing the other via networking.

Catwoman has posed:
Selina Kyle remarks, "Naturally, but this is unexpected." However, there's a look of amusement in her eyes and mouth, both visible even with the mask in place, as the 'tigress' eyes the 'tiger.' "/Most/ unexpected, but you're a good kitty, aren't you, Damian?" Lowering her voice, she adds, "And I thought I was going to have the most interesting costume tonight. There's always someone else." His 'reward' for one-upping her is a hand moving forward to rub between the tiger's ears, only for her hand to somewhat pass through with a little resistance, possibly coming into contact with his hair instead. "Oh," she murmurs, drawing the hand back after an extra second or two. "Clever. Very clever."

Shaking her head, at least she looks like she's entertained by this revelation, but she nods toward the tables. "Time for me to get in place." She passes by Bruce and April, sure to inform them it's time to get situated.

April O'Neil has posed:
April has to place a hand over her chest at the compliment toward her show that Barbara affords her, its humbling to her and it shows. "Thank you, that means a lot." She replies to her further. "I'm more than happy to have you on it talk about anything you'd like, be it your own company or the corruption that we have to always fight against." There's a clear bit of levity in how she phrases that, because tonight is about fun after all, right?

"And any way I can help you in return, more than happy to do so." She adds before she draws in a breath and lets her masked-eyes look around the room a bit more again. Such a busy place tonight! April smiles to Selina then as she passes by once more. "Good luck." She wishes her well on the way by.

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau smiles to CArrie and bends at the waist to take her hand and kiss the back of it, "Enchante' ma cherie, puis-je dire que vous etes absolument ravissante ce soir?" He offers in that rich Cajun French accent before blinking and turning to se whom JAson is talking about. A smirk slowly crossing his face and he says, "Ah'll donate an extra 'undered grand right now if yah go ovah dare and tell 'er dat ta 'er face."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan finds her way to her table, her skirts swishing as she goes. She gives a smile to some that stop her and talk to her, but she finally excuses herself and goes to take a seat with her drink. She then takes her phone out to look and see if she'd missed any calls or texts.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma spotted the familiar face just about the same time she was spotted. Her smile was positively dazzling as she 'heard' the comment in Kitty's head as well. She raised her glass up in a silent toast to the young woman, despite their distance from one another. Then she sees her entourage starting to look over and that just amuses Emma even more. One by one the heads turn and she gives them a brief nod before going back to the small circle of people she is with, continuing the small talk.

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
Late? Never. *Stylishly* Late? Well, Janet van Dyne isn't above that.

And the entrance she makes with Steve Rogers definitely makes an impact. The two of them are a study of contrasts in every possible sense. Steve is dressed in a black custom tuxedo and sports a leonine bronze mask. It's an outfit that makes emphasis of his sheer physical strength and carefully reserved power. Every detail of mask and tuxedo complements itself, with a thick fur lion mane around his collar (ethically sourced, of course) and all the accents-- undershirt, buttons, French cuffs and links, even shoelaces-- the same color of ancient bronze.

Janet is a vision of white and silver, a nod to a sleekly feminine snow leaopard. Her one-piece outfit is right out of the 70s, a halter-topped jumpsuit that clings to her every curve and with leggins that flare with just an inch to spare over her silver-painted pumps. Her half-mask is sleeker and exposes the bright green of her eyes, and the glittering of rhinestones on the mask and the jumper match a similar scattering of 'snow' carefully adhered to the bare roundeur of her shoulders.

She makes Steve stand atop the stairs for a full ten seconds, seeing and being seen, before she descends with him arm in arm.

"I'm going to get some punch, I won't be a second," Steve murmurs to Janet, and slips towards the punch stand. Janet nods and smiles, brushing her palm against his arm, and steps into the crowded soiree.

"Bruce!" The socialite materializes behind Bruce Wayne and beams up at him after squeezing his arm. "Guess who?" she prompts him, teasingly.

Stardust has posed:
"Oh most certainly not a good kitty, madame," Colette responds to Selina with every appearance of complete seriousness. "However, we must all make allowances, hein? Still, it is no matter. I shall ensure he eats none of your guests, at least until they have left the premisis and are no longer your responsibility. It would be poor manner to do otherwise." She inclines her head to Selina in a half-nod as she indicates the need to get on with procedings, and Colette offers her a quick "Bon courage, madame".

Colette looks down to the tiger. "Well, Damian. We have made our entrance," she whispers behind her fan. "And apparently now we should find our places. Is there anyone in particular you would be keen to stand behind while growling?" Whispering done, she looks up and around, smiling faintly at curious onlookers, and flashing a quick wink to Danger.

Lex Luthor has posed:
"It's low key compared to my usual, but it's a good place for you to start." Lex mutters to Arella as they go. "A lot of personalities around. To be clear, don't talk to the reporters without me around." Lex emphasizes as he starts to head up to the front table, "Emma is one to look out for in small talk, she's very competent at the social game."

Once at the front table, Lex sits down... and offers a chair for Arella.

Danger has posed:
Approaching Colette and Damian, she smiles and waves, "Hello, I am Dana Ger, as you might have heard." She offers a hand and then leans toward Colette, "It is I, Danger." She whispers, "Do you like the outfit? I have heard it to be all the rage among some circles in France." She nods and then looks to Damian with a nod and then gestures, "Nice tiger."

She then looks around and looks to the others here, "I should meet these people. Get to know them. I, after all, have made a large donation. I am now a socialite." She nods her head as if that were all it took and all there was to it."

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
The tiger Damian closes his eyes and allows himself to be pet, the tail swishing to and fro. Damian's spiked hair underneath the facade is indeed rubbed, but he doesn't flinch, or give it any undue attention.

The tiger looks at Dana as she walks over to him, a little on guard, before he gives her a nod in return. As the two make their way to a table, he replies. "Close to Jason Todd, next best thing to snarl behind Bruce is the next eldest brother.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley tries not to, but finds herself blushing just a tad when her hand is kissed along with the compliment. That was unexpected at least. "Thank you," she murmurs quietly resisting the urge to fidget in the process. Before she can think to say anything else the dare is made earning a groan from her. "You do realize he has absolutely zero shame, right? Damian acts more mature than he does." A little upward roll of her eyes comes before she moves to sit with a little swish of her skirt to ensure she didn't catch it on anything in the process. "Nice to meet you, Mr. LeBeau."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde looks over as Emma Frost raises the glass towards her. The woman could look no less spectacular with diamonds. Or as a diamond. And that just makes Kitty's teeth grind slightly before they stop and she gets a momentarily rueful look.

~ I am giving Erik a second chance. Do I owe that to Emma too? ~

Kitty looks back over towards the other woman, and her expression hardens a little.

~ No. No I do not. ~

The exchange between Remy and Jason was heard but doesn't really sink in until Jason heads off. "Oh, no, Jason," she says, wincing and giving a sigh. "Remy, did you have to?" Kitty says, in a tone like a younger sister complaining to an older brother. She debates going over to chase Jason, but decides her presence won't help matters. Quite the opposite, most likely. Though she does drift close enough to make sure she can hear what is said.

Red Hood has posed:
"Make it two, and you got a deal." Jason replies with a smirk. Out of all the Wayne kids to make the offer to, Remy picked the one with the least amount of couth. Kissing Kitty's cheek, he grins. "Be right back!" Even as Emma looks at them. Because now he //really// wants to.

Grabbing one of the flutes of champagne, and heads over towards where Emma is sitting with the others. He sets down the drink and takes off his jacket. "It's a bit chilly out tonight and I think you might have forgotten your shawl. May I offer you my jacket? I believe you know my girlfriend, Katherine?" he asks, warmth in his voice. "Maybe one of her elementary school teachers? Friend of her parents?"

Catwoman has posed:
Once the dining has begun, a few people take their places at the dais where rectangular tables have been set up facing the round ones. Among them is the tigress from the greeting phase, along with someone unfamiliar to Gotham City's bigwigs and other celebrities. The reason becomes clear once it's time to get to the speaking portion of the proceedings.

The tiger-striped woman steps up first and taps the microphone lightly. Satisfied that it's on, she launches into her spiel. "First of all, if you hadn't already guessed, I'm Selina Kyle." She takes off the mask long enough to prove it. "I wanted to thank everyone again for attending, and more importantly, for your money. I was low on treats for my kitties back home and you all came through big time." Wide grin, time allowed for a chuckle or two at the cheap joke, then she continues.

"Gotham City has a reputation as this dark, dangerous place, overrun by a criminal element it seems people always have to go into battle with, but it's good to know there are points of light to be found. Some of you know I love these big cats, and I have ever since I was a little girl. You can have your Winnie the Pooh stuffed animals. I was always a Tigger fangirl. I cried when that damned Tweety Bird always got one over on poor Sylvester, and just once I wanted Tom to give Jerry what he deserved."

"But even if those guys usually lost, they never quit trying to reach their goals, even if all that meant was chomping on a smart-assed bird or a stupid mouse. It probably sounds silly when you think about it like that, but the point is never quitting chasing what you're after, and I think we can all learn a lesson in some way from that. Plus, most of us have a favorite pet from our childhoods or even now, whether it's a cat, a dog, or something else. For many of us, our pets are members of our family, and for those of us without any kids," Here, Selina looks to one side where a famous, well-dressed man is seated next to the empty chair she'd been in, "Stop looking at me like that, Bruce Wayne, I see you. Anyway, they're as much a son or daughter as a person can be." Let the tabloids run with /that/ one. "Now get up here and say a few words."

Emma Frost has posed:
"Really?" Emma comments, looking up at Jason with a hint of a smile. "I was thinking I'm a bit overdressed. You may keep your jacket." Since it is her choice in the matter thanks to his offer. "Though I appreciate your concern for my welfare. Yes, I know Katherine. I never had the privilege of teaching her though. She chose to attend another academy." She gives a shrug of those almost bare shoulders, the sheer fabric of the dress shifting slightly with the movement. "It was truly a loss as she is a brilliant young woman with such potential, don't you agree?" So while she is being bashed personally and the butt of their joke, she is nothing approving of the woman he brought as his date.

Batman has posed:
"One of two women in the room I would be okay with going after my wallet?" Bruce half-jokes as his arm is squeezed randomly. Turning to the source, Bruce looks at Janet. "Nice to see you Janet." Then he straightens up for a moment, "Captain Rogers. The Country is indebted to your services, may times over," and that is before Steve excuses himself to get punch. "April, you've met Janet before," April's dress is a Van Dyne, Bruce added it to his account before the event.

Then the conversations continue up until the point he is in his seat.

Just when everything feels calm to his world, Selina is giving her speech. Towardd the end, that calm is very short-lived. At least this moment he is a bit prepared for. Heading toward, the stage, Bruce removes his mask while making his way to the podium. "I hope everyone is having a great time. I will try to make this short so we can keep mingling, and maybe convince Captain Rogers to stand away from the punch bowl," Bruce jokes and he breathes out.

"The world is full of great causes. Not just here in Gotham, like the Police Department, the Botanical gardens, and more. Often, we think of wild animals and images of zoos, circuses, and everything else from our childhoods dance across our mind. Sometimes the animals in these situations find great things when the curtain's called, and the zoo closes. Unfortunately, many don't," Bruce begins his speech.

"Selina Kyle has found a place that gives these lions, tigers, panthers, and every other cat that gave a sense of wonder as children a second chance. And like people, even animals deserve that chance. The sanctuary gives them that second chance at life." He takes a tiny moment to let it all sink in to those watching.

"Like many sanctuaries, funds are limited. And often we hear stories of people paying exorbitant amounts of money to push an animal one step closer to extinction. This is our chance to be better than our peers. To pull back several of these animals from the brink of extinction. Those of us that view ourselves as philanthropists often talking about creation, providing, but seldom do we follow through in meaningful ways. Now, we get a chance at give money toward a cause with real meaning. So, tonight I encourage all of you to give what you can to this organization, especially if you've ever marveled at nature's splendor be it at a zoo, circus, or similar attraction."

Bruce pauses and he gestures toward Miss Kyle, "Everyone please give Miss Kyle another round of applause." This is his way of returning the favor of putting that spotline on him.

And then he waits for the applause and commotion to die down before saying, "Thank you. Enjoy your evening, everyone."

Shadow has posed:
Natasha joins in the polite - and mostly sincere - applause after Bruce and Selina's speeches, then resumes making inconsequential smalltalk with the people around her.

Catwoman has posed:
Selina touches Bruce on the arm in passing, whispering, "You have a way with words. One would almost think you've done this a few times before." Taking the mic again and gesturing to the other side, she adds, "I'd like to ask someone to say a few words about the place we're all here for. Please welcome Felix Parker from Big Cat Habitat. It's his first time in Gotham City. Hopefully he leaves with everything he came with!"

Once the applause has died down and Selina's taken her seat, Felix clears his throat and looks out at those gathered before him. He looks a bit nervous in a tuxedo and cat ears of his own, but he holds his composure well. "Thank you, Miss Kyle, and thank you to all of you. Like Miss Kyle, I loved cats growing up, and when I got into the veterinary field I found out how much neglect some people put their pets through. Some of them didn't realize the detrimental effect they were having on those animals, but others thought it was a good idea to keep tigers, lions, panthers, even leopards and cheetahs as pets, as roadside attractions, as things for people to point and stare at up close."

Before he drones on, Felix gets to the point, probably coached to do just that to keep interest from waning. "I sought some grants and used a lot of my own money to buy some land out in Wyoming, setting up this sanctuary. Then I got involved when I saw stories about these beautiful animals being kept in tiny cages, in squalid conditions, underfed and without the exercise and room they needed. Sometimes it was a small zoo that had to close down and the cats needed a new home. Sometimes they were just abandoned and we stepped in to save them. Sometimes I'd meet with owners who were about to let their animals be put down, promising a better future."

"At Big Cat Habitat, once we've been able to check on their conditions and rehabilitate them, we give them ample room to live and play, trying to recreate, within reason, what they'd have if they had a normal life. These cats can't survive out in the actual wild. Most of them have been born in captivity. They're not conditioned for it, but we give them the next best thing. I know Wyoming is hundreds of miles away, but you all should have received a brochure about who we are and what we do. I encourage you, especially those of you with families, to come out sometime. You all have free lifetime passes and you'll be recognized forever on our donor wall. We can't thank you enough, and your donations will go toward the food we need, better medical facilities, more land - we have a thousand acres right now but we want to expand - and additional elevated walking decks for visitors to safely see how these magnificent cats are meant to live. Again, thank you so much."

At this point, Selina gets up along with Bruce, and they move to present Felix with an oversized check. She's all smiles as she says, "Mr. Parker, you already met Mr. Wayne when we visited, and thanks to his generous donation along with everything else we raised tonight from the rest of you here, we'd like to present Big Cat Habitat with this check from the Kyle Foundation for $5,000,000! Put the real one to good use!" Cue the poses, the smiles, the photographers with their flashes.

Finally, the time for music, dancing, and further schmoozing arrives!

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde follows Jason over then as she hears their exchange. "Miss Frost," Kitty says in a reasonably neutral voice, voice kept down to not interrupt the presentation going on. Kitty gives a nod towards Emma, eyes not shirking from the woman's ice blue ones. Kitty turns to Jason to ask quietly, "I wanted to say hello to your father. Let's go over there, hmm? And wait until his talk is done?"

She'll reach out a hand to slip into the young man's if he allows, giving a little nod of her head off towards where Mr. Wayne is at. Her eyes rest on Jason Todd's silently asking him to come.

Arella Despana has posed:
Arella joins Lex and quiets down to listen to the speeches. She does note in a voice that perhaps only Lex can hear when Selina is done, "I have only been here a little while but I prefer the talking rabbit to the talking cats. What is his name 'Bugs' I believe." She doesn't have any comment of Bruce's speech she merely watches. Her demanor like an anthropologist examining foreign customs clinically. But she was a quick study. On the topic of press Arella says, "That reporter April O'Neill wanted me to drop by as a guest on her Podcast."

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau actully laughs just a little as Kitty's boyfriend actully takes him up on his little dare... though he makes a mental note to drop another $200 grand check into the box on his way out. After all, a deal is a deal. He glances at Carrie and smirks just a little, "Wish someone woulda warned me dat before I bet 'im six figures." He says with an amused smile, keeping his voice a soft whisper so as not to interupt the people everyone is actully here to see.

Red Hood has posed:
Whatever response that Jason has on his lips is lost when Kitty claims his hand. "She is an excellent person, yes." he finally allows, before he nods to Kitty. "Of course. I'm sure he's going to be pretty swamped after he does his presentation, though."

Danger has posed:
Nodding a little to the tiger in turn, the girl grins a little. Dana seems quite pleased to be acknowledged by the cat before she watches the speeches. She seems very interested in everything the people up there have to say. Finally Dana turns her attention around to the others here and starts to move over to meet people. She briefly looks toward Damian and Colette, "I am going to mingle. I will see you both later. Or sooner. Depending on perspective."

Danger walks over to where Remy, Kitty, and Jason are. As she approaches, she nods to each in turn, "I am Dana." She says and looks from each, "It is nice to meet your aquaintenance." She then looks to Remy and blinks as she looks at him. She stares for a long moment and then states, "You have very unique eyes." She seems almost fascinated.

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
Steve Rogers claps Bruce's arm at his words. "The pleasure is mine, Mr. Wayne," he remarks and flashes a quick, easy grin.

He excuses himself and disappears into the melee, leaving Janet at the edge of the circle of the Wayne allies. Fingers are wiggled at April and Janet murmurs a 'hello!' at the woman when Bruce makes the introductions.

But, then, he's off and speeches are being made. She joins the enthusiastic applause and when the presenters dismount the landing she moves to intercept Selina with both hands extended, offering a squeeze of fingers to Selina and an airy French cheek-kiss.

"Selina, you look like a dream in that outfit," Janet says with beaming self-congratulatory approval. "It looks even better than it did in the studio. Oh, before I forget, I rummaged through my couch for some spare change. I hope this is helpful." She digs in her pocket (yes, she has those) and comes up with a sharply folded check and hands it over to Selina. "And I gotta admit, I'm a little impressed. You really *did* rope Bruce into this. Go girl," she praises Selina, and hipchecks her encouragingly.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian the tiger takes a sit behind Jason and the cadre. Every now and again making sure to snarl and raise a paw to swipe at the older brother. As the patriarch of the family finishes his speech, Damian gives a roar in applause.

The tiger stands, and joins his date to the event. "Think it's time to drop the guise?" He asks, the mouth of course moves as he speaks.

April O'Neil has posed:
The gold/black dressed April had seated herself down during the speeches and she'd enjoyed the provided food while mostly just focusing on the drinks to help her loosen up enough to enjoy the evening to its fullest, she wasn't a heavy drinker though, so she makes her to pace herself!

When she sees Janet Van Dyne herself wave to her, she raises a hand to return the wave, a big smile shown to the woman who designed the fancy dress she's wearing. She also spied Janet's date, the famous Captain America diligently watching over everyone with a calm confidence, this makes her grin. Her dad had had a Captain America poster in his office when she was a kid... he'd be amazed to see the living man here tonight, if he could.

Red Hood has posed:
"Totally, Tony." Jason responds to Damian, before glancing to Colette. "Do I know you? I thought I knew all of Damian's playmates." Titans of course, but Jason can't say that /out-loud/. So he found a better way to address it as Danger comes over - but she's more fascinated with Remy, so he's totally letting that go for now.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde claps for Selina and Bruce and the enormous check at the appropriate moments as she and Jason Todd arrive back over with Remy and Carrie. Kitty looks up as Danger walks over to join them. "Hello Dana. Kitty Pryde," she offers back in greeting with with a friendly enough smile.

Kitty looks over towards the kitty. Or, tiger. You know, Damian. As she hears him speak, Kitty's mouth drops open a little. "Damian? Wow. You really are not paying Carrie enough for acting lessons," Kitty says, looking over to Carrie with her astonished look.

Kitty looks to Remy and says, "Anna Marie expects me to make you behave. Has she -met- you?" Kitty gives Remy a grin and laughs warmly.

The young woman waits to go speak to Bruce Wayne until the man is done on stage.

Catwoman has posed:
Once the photo op has ended, the food is on to the dessert portion for anyone who still has an appetite, and Selina looks quite pleased with herself, the proverbial cat who got the canary (damn Tweety Bird!). She also seems appreciative of Bruce's help in the matter. Who knows what it would have generated without him helping put the word out?

Stepping down from the dais, she's first met by Janet. "Hey, girl. I told you I'd rock this. Not my usual style, but I felt like doing something different for a special occasion." When the check is produced, she adds, "Oh? What's this? A little more? Is that from you and the protector of the punch over there?" Yes, she's spotted Steve Rogers on duty, as well. "And Bruce just liked the idea. It's not like we're dating or anything." Dropping her voice, she says, "Time for me to see how well these shoes hold up. I have a feeling I'm going to be on them a while yet."

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley smiles at Dana as she at least recognized her from ... where was it? Ah yes, the coffee shop. Before she can think to properly greet the woman though, Damian roars at the end of Btuce's speech causing her to glance over at him with bemusement. "That's defintely more attention getting than clapping," she has to admit.

Then Kitty's astonishment and remark causes her head to throw back with a warm laugh of absolute delight. Raising a hand she claps it over her mouth to hush herself, lightly clearing her throat even as she still grins. "Sorry. Much as I'd like to I can't really take credit for this one. This is all Damian. It is pretty amazing, too."

Stardust has posed:
Colette looks at Danger's outfit with frank astonishment, and wonders at what circles such outfits are all the rage. Clearly not circles she has traveled in. However she has to admit that if /she/ were a room that had become conscious and mobile, she'd probably move in different circles. She contents herself with a nod and warning to Danger to "Try to blend in," which is rather ironic all things considered.

She claps politely at the speeches, her hand fan tucked awkwardly under her arm, already becoming something of an annoyance, but so vital to the image. At the end of Bruce's speech, she leans to the tiger and whispers "He must hate this. But that's high society for you. Always a mask. And as for yours - drop it, keep it, whichever you think most amusing. I am enoying the nervous looks we're getting though."

When Jason addresses her, Colette raises her fan to her face, to peer over it at him. She's really playing up the 18th century masque deal. "No sir, you do not. I am not one of his playmates though. I'm his bodyguard. You must understand in his current guise as a tiger, he attracts a certain amount of unwanted attention. The mere son of a billionaire attracts less. You would be amazed at the hostility some people feel towards tigers." She nods her head towards Selina. "And that is why this cause is so worthy, oui?"

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde pulls out her phone and snaps a few photos. Jason Todd and Remy in one. Then swinging it over, she gets one of Carrie as well. Danger. And then Colette and the tiger. Finally a few pictures of the room.

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau grins wickedly at Kitty's comment shrugging slightly, "Wha' c'n Ah say, some women expect de impossible outta people." He offers in reply, He shakes his head a bit and moves about to greet other peoples, only to be confronted by Danger. He grins wickedly to her, smirking slightly "T'anks chere.." he makes them glow slightly, like embers of hellfire from the abyss, but just for a moment, "Ah've 'ad dem mah 'ole life."

Batman has posed:
Bruce makes a few notes as he sits back down. He is there willing to talk to anyone that approaches him. Sky blue eyes looking about the place for a moment. Seeing friends making connections, and he hopes april has a few new investigative lines for the podcast. Although, Bruce will be sure to get his own photos including April, Jason, the Wayne Family Cat Damian, Kitty, Selina, etc. All things said, he is proud of Damian. That is a big step out of his comfort zone. It's an honest try to be social. Bruce is impressed by it. Later, he will try to get one of those selfie shots with everyone smooshed into the frame.

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
"Steve takes punch-guarding very seriously," Janet tells Selina. Her eyes dance as she teases her absent companion. "No, he's got a couple of friends he said he wanted to talk to, something from one of the veteran's groups? He... where /is/ he with those drinks?" she mutters, trying to find him. The petite fashionista can't exactly see very far with everyone towering over her.

"Your shoes should be fine. Rest frequently, drink water, and I've got some mood modification on me if you need it," she whispers.

Her eyes rake the room, spotting a few familiar faces. She gives Lex a politely friendly look when she glances at the industrialist. Emma, too, is a relatively familiar face (at least to the flitteringly fashionable socialite) and Janet mouths a 'hello!' at the regal blonde and waves a greeting at her.

Danger has posed:
Smiling at Remy's reaction, 'Dana' grins back and looks a little stupid for a moment before she blinks and looks confused. She then looks the side, "I am sorry, I lost track of the situation I am in for a moment there." She then looks back at Remy and states, "You are what I would call charming." SHe nods her head.

A smile at Carrie and then a blink at Kitty and Danger is suddenly looking her way. She stares a moment before saying, "Kitty? That is a great name. It is most appropriate for this event though I doubt you came up with it on the spot for such an event. I mean. Who would come up with a name just for an event?" She chuckles and looks to the side a moment.

She looks back to Carrie, "You were in the coffee shop. How are you? I trust you had good coffee since last we spoke, yes?" She looks over at Remy briefly but then back to Carrie. Seems she is trying not to look at Remy for some reason now.

Oracle has posed:
Babs has got that slightly glazed look in her eyes, sitting quietly at the table with Jason and Co. There's a glass of wine upon which she's absently drinking while looking around at the festivities with a furrow in her brow. "I- I think I'm going to go." She says, leaning towards Jason to speak quietly to him with an offer of a side hug. "If anyone asks, I had to go meet with my father?" Discomfort evident as she shifts her gaze around.

Red Hood has posed:
"Jason Todd." he introduces himself to Danger, before he turns his attention to Carrie. "You're getting like all the company tonight." he starts to say before Barbara gives him the side hug. She's reached her limit - it's a feeling Jason knows well. Squeezing the commissioner's daughter back to him in a hug. "Kitty wants to talk to Bruce right quick about some lessons - if you're okay with getting yourself home?" he asks, his own concern showing for the young woman, but he lets her go.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
The tiger remains for now, especially to the guests that wish to grab a photo of him. "Thank you, but I have always been a fan of the animal charities. I'm usually the check bearer at these. I watched plenty of bengals to know how they move and act."

Soon enough, it was about time he made his real appearance, the tiger stands on hind legs, and the illusion fades to show Damian Wayne, in the half mask of a tiger, incisors on full display, and a Tom Ford tuxedo custom tailored for himself. "Mademoiselle Nicolette." He says, holding out his arm to escort her around. He was decidedly different than he had been before in public. The shy and reserved teen was gone, and he was more true to form here, brash and confident. It'd be chalked up to growing up in the tabloids of course, every kid goes through personality changes.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde nods to what Jason Todd said as she hears Barbara Gordon. "Either take the car and we'll grab a ride," Kitty tells Barbara. "Or, if you want to come with us, just wanted to say hello and have a few words. We could leave with you then?" Kitty says, turning into a question for Jason. And also looking to Carrie to see her thoughts. "Though if Carrie wants to stay, she gets the Rolls and the three of us could get a car," Kitty says, as if just wanting to make sure anyone who is by themselves get the chauffeured car.

Catwoman has posed:
Selina Kyle politely declines Janet's offer, giving her a smile. "Thanks, but I don't need it. I'm feeling good so far. It's been a nice evening. Now you go spend some time with others who might need your eye for fashion, all right?" she says with a wink before moving along, hands clasping with others as she goes, all smiles. This is where Selina the Socialite thrives, though she keeps a partial eye on Bruce as they both mill about.

She happens to end up close to Damian and Collette by the time he's back to his usual self, a half-smile sent his way. "Glad to see I'm not the only one who had the idea of a tiger tonight, but you went a few steps beyond." She nods once to the one he's with, explaining, "Cats are a soft spot of mine, as I said up there. The big ones are even more majestic."

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley reaches for a glass of wine herself in spite of the fact that, under all that golden featherd mask and dress, she wasn't old enough to drink. They weren't exactly carding here. Even so she merely brings it up to her lips to take a taste. Nothing more, and her hand lowers again letting it rest in her grasp idly.

When Danger speaks up she blinks a single time, and offers the unique woman a grin. "I was. I hope you found something to your liking since the espresso didn't seem to work out. It's nice seeing you again," she offers as well before she glances to Barbara. "Sure, stay safe," she offers with a knowing nod. This place was getting to her, too, and Jason's remark of getting company just earns a lifting of one eyebrow. Kitty's suggestion takes a deep breath, considering, only to shake her head.

"I don't really have any reason to stick around. I don't have a date to entertain, I'm not a large donor, and-" a glance is cast toward Colette and Damian as they leave with Damian now out of his disguise. "I can't really do the type of socializing that goes on at these things. Let's go say hi to Bruce and then I'm fine to go if you guys want."

Gambit has posed:
"It's an accusation Ah've learned ta live wit'," He promises Danger with that same charming smile. However as Barbara starts to excuse herself he glances at his own watch and makes a bit of a face. "If Ah may be so bold chere, Ah've got a long drive ahead of me as well, may Ah walk yah out?" he doesn't want to have a woman who seems that upset walking out alone. He does try to get Kitty's attention and mouths something that could be 'Manger Boom' and holds up 5 fingers... who knows what that could mean.

Batman has posed:
"April, are you enjoying yourself?" Bruce asks as he is sipping at his drink. It's simple water, he used the speech as his excuse for not drinking. Right now, he is just seeing the faces mingle for a moment. Sky blue eyes look toward the queen bee near him.

April O'Neil has posed:
April steps back toward Bruce and she holds a glass of champagne near to her chest. She grins big at him and uses her free hand to raise her mask up onto her forehead as its more than a little uncomfortable after all this time. "Absolutely, I am." She says to him with a grin. "You know, making the rounds, doing the mingling thing... hoping to impress people. Make them think I'm not just some nosey reporter looking for a big break on Twitter." She grins at him, sipping from her glass then. "Your speech was fantastic too." She then makes sure to say to the man who invited her.

Emma Frost has posed:
Finishing off her champagne, Emma declines with the next server tries to offer a replacement. It is in that moment she spots Janet van Dyne. A smile and a brief wave is given to the fashionista.

She does rise to her feet and head for the door a short time later. Her circuit of the room complete, it is time to depart.

Stardust has posed:
For her part, 'Mademoiselle Nicolette' accompanies Damian on the meet and greet tour of the room with an easy but unusually formal manner, playing along fully with her costume. It wouldn't be hard to imagine her circulating amongst the nobility at Versailles. Whatever the situation she seems to perpetually wear a half-smile, and deflects any curiousity or questioning with answers that stretch credibility beyond breaking. To assorted people she variously claims to be the daughter of a Count, a French spy, a time traveller and the inventor of the semi-colon. She is distinctly enjoying herself.

"'One step beyond' is very much Damian's way," she confides to Selina. "The costume is holographic, of course. You realized that quickly enough, I noticed. An impressive piece of technology, no? Damian invented it himself. Do not praise him too highly though, his intention was to invent a new way of manufacturing denim. Alas, he was planning to base his invention on some technology derived from the aliens who attempted to invade us a year ago, and mistook the article's purpose. Still, no matter. His creation will be very useful, no doubt."

Oracle has posed:
Babs stops when she hears Remy and bows her head with a smile, "I would appreciate at that, thank you." She's putting on a brave face in the presence of unfamiliar company, but she keeps glancing around at the tables around her. Once more walking towards the exit with quiet apologies as she passes by or infront of tables watching the speeches or entertainment. "Barbara Gordon, by the way." She introduces herself to Remy as they near the exits so as not to interrupt any further than her she already has.

Batman has posed:
The billionaire waves a hand, "You just say that to every money-fort loving billionaire that makes a speech," Bruce says with a grin. Then he inclines his head slightly while raising his glass, "Thank you. And I'm happy to help you. I trust your stories. If I can help you keep those stories going, I am more than happy to help," and he gives a nod of respect to her. "And you look fabulous this evening. You turned just as may heads as Van Dyne and the others."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde does seem to catch Remy's glance and mouthed comment. She nods towards him. "Ok," she tells Remy, and then looks over to Barbara. "Remy's an old friend. A good guy but he's got a silver tongue and knows it," Kitty teases, but letting Barbara know she's safe leaving with the Cajun.

Kitty looks back to Jason and Carrie. "Well, a little pop over to your father to say hello, maybe grab a picture or two, and then head out then?" she asks. She'll move over to slip an arm about Jason's waist, let him lead the way if that's what they choose to do.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
"Tigers are revered in my culture. Powerful creatures." Damian comments, his skin tone was light olive, much different than Bruce's WASP poster-boy look. Though Damian himself looked like a darker Bruce, his piercing green eyes and olive complexion stood him out from his brothers. "The hologram was something a friend gave me, modified of course, to the exact specifications of a tiger I met in Madripoor. The most regal looking one I had ever had the pleasure of seeing in the wild."

Damian glances at Colette, and nods to Selina. "Selina Kyle, Nicolette Caron, of the Semicolon estate." He says in introduction, and giving an impish grin.

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau grins a bit and takes Barbara's hand, "Remy LeBeau. Ah work wit' Kitty." he says simply, giving the valet his ticket for the yellow Ferrai with the stearing wheel on the wrong side, "Happy ta drop yah somewhere." He says in a tone that is almost challenging..

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
"Damnit Steve, where are you?" Janet rests her hands on her hips near the punch bowl, scowling irritably. No date to be seen. The socialite mutters darkly and gets her own punch before moving back towards the milling crowd.

She starts back the other way and is stopped once or twice by friends. Hugs and exclamations of greeting are exchanged and she ends up back near the main cluster of charitable givers. "Bruce, are you taking my name in vain again?" Janet teases the man, and steps into place at the edge of their milling little circle. She gives Damian's outfit an intruiged and appreciative once-over, then flashes a somewhat flirty smile at him (heedless of Colette assertive presence on his arm!).

"I'm sorry darling, I didn't quite catch your name," Janet tells April. "Are you a ... friend of Bruce's?"

April O'Neil has posed:
April just grins at what Bruce says. "You're too sweet, really." She replies to him, knowing full well that the likes of Janet Van Dyne would turn every head in this darn place! She leans toward Bruce and says lowly. "I made a two hundred and fifty dollar donation and thats part of my rent for the month." She sips her wine and then laughs softly. "Looks like its frozen pizzas for the rest of the month." She can already hear Mikey complaining up a storm about it too!

Oracle has posed:
Barbara glances back to Kitty at Remy's mention of her and nods to his offer, "Certainly, I was just going by my father's house. I'll give you directions on the way." Leading them out of the gala hall with her smile easing once she's further away from the crowd inside.

Catwoman has posed:
Selina Kyle's removed the mask of her costume by now, letting it dangle by a finger as she holds a glass of champagne in the other, sipping lightly from it. "It's impressive technology. I could think of a few ways to have fun with something like that, but looking like an actual tiger wasn't one of them. I think it had everyone worried for a few moments." She makes a show of clucking her tongue at Damian for that. "But it was a fine surprise and I saw you getting into your role." Still might be, with his more authentic tiger mask. "A pleasure. I'm sure we'll have the chance to speak again," she finishes, both to Colette and the son of Bruce Wayne. Already, others are pushing for a moment with her, but not before she winks to Colette, "You wear that well," indicating the corset part of her attire.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde and Jason Todd move over to where Bruce Wayne is sitting. Kitty smiles to Carrie if she stays with them, adding, "Just want to say hello." When they arrive and there's a moment they won't be interrupting, Kitty flashes Bruce Wayne a soft smile, but addresses April first. "Love your work. It's nice to have someone out there trying to represent things as they are," Kitty tells her.

Kitty turns her attention to Bruce then. "Mr. Wayne. You both look wonderful tonight. Wanted to say thank you for the car, and for inviting us here tonight," Kitty says, turning to smile at Jason and Carrie and then back to Bruce.

Kitty adds, "Also, if it's ok, I'll give you a call tomorrow. You had mentioned some lessons, about staying safe in Gotham? If that offer still stands, I'd like to take you up on it," Kitty tells Bruce.

Batman has posed:
Bruce nods, and she would find her rent, eletric, and utilities are paid for a good year. Someone claimming to be their brother, boyfriend, and father, depending on which source she questions. He is not going to let someone that is seen as vital live off of frozen pizzas. Even if she prefers frozen pizzas, sometimes people want frozen wings instead. Bruce nods, "I could show you a good homemade recipe that coats nearly as much."

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley rises from her seat at the table that they had claimed for their small group with a hand lifting to touch the feathered edge of her mask. Just to ensure it was properly in place. Winding her way through the crowd she follows behind Jason and Kitty looking very much like their golden shadow at the moment. Another drink is snagged off a tray as she passes by a waiter deciding she could perhaps use a drink after all. Even if it was only to fill her grasp. It's used almost as a shield as she moves along trying not to stand out in her obviously hand-made gown amidst the hoipoi of Gotham.

At least there's a small look of relief along with a more relaxed smile when she comes closer to the group surrounding Bruce. "Evening, Mr. Wayne," she greets only to glance aside at April, and ... Janet Van Dyne. Like a deer in the headlights she just stops with a nervous fidget of her free hand over the sparkling gold of her skirt. But Kitty was thanking Bruce for the loan of the car so she turns her attention back with a nod. "Yeah, thank you. It was far more fitting for the occasion than what I had in mind."

Arella Despana has posed:
It is at this interesting juncture at which Arella approaches April having extracated herself from Lex Luthor for the moment. "Ms O'Niell - how have you been since last we met?" The Svartalfar gives a nod to Bruce Wayne. Aliens at a charity event who'd have thunk it?

Batman has posed:
"Janet. This is Carrie Kelley. She needs two new dresses. Five new outfits. Please add her name to my account. It's covered," Bruce just gives Carrie a simple wink. Then he looks to April, "And make sure she is on retainer. Just tell me if April charges ten outfts at once," he says trying to mingle as much as possible. "Carrie does an invaluable service to my family, Janet, and she's a fan of your work." Then he looks at Carrie, "Carrie, this is Janet. When I'm in New York and have fashion needs, this is my goto," he says just keeping his word to Carrie about introducing her to friends. However, this is not the friend he had in mind.

"And Carrie have you met Miss April O'Neil, behind truth seekers, and" Bruce looks at Arella. Oh, he remembers the rumors on this woman. They would need to have a conversation.

Red Hood has posed:
"Evening, dad." Jason greets Bruce after Kitty does. "Kitty wanted to say hi before we left. Thanks for the help." he offers. "Seems that it all went well." No chaos. Much. At least. A little. Barbara just left with a charming Cajun, for instance, and Carrie has followed behind the pair. "We were about to head out. But I'll make sure Kitty's ready for those lessons." And while Carrie is introduced to Janet, he glances aside to Kitty to see if she's ready to go.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
"Janet Van Dyne, your attire precedes you." He says, bowing to the fashion icon. "Talk around the manor was all about someone even being able to try on one of your creations. At some point, even I wanted to ask you to create a tuxedo for myself." Damian had been going all out, he was out in the open, and not reserved at all.

"Janet Van Dyne, may I introduce soon to be Countess Nicolette Caron." He says with a distinct smile to his date to the event.

April O'Neil has posed:
April's attention drifts over to Kitty and she smiles big at her. "Hey! Thanks!" She says back to her, offering her a handshake since she's a bit of a tomboy from Brooklyn after all. She grins big at her. "We got a lot lies to sift through to find them truths, but we're doing everything we can to sniff them out." She states, giving another sip to her drink. She's had three now, so she's definitely a little more 'April Unchecked' and a little less 'work mode' right now. "Really great to meet so many people who know... of it all, really. I'm blown away. Thank you."

She looks then to Bruce and grins at him. "Home made pizza?" She asks the wealthy one. "I have trouble cooking hot pockets in a microwave. I actually ruined spaghetti the other night. How is that even possible?" She's teasing of course, maybe... possibly not though. She then looks to when Bruce refers her to Janet. A laugh escapes her and she shakes her head. "I swear, I'm not going to do that. Rare is it that I get a chance to do anything in clothing that isn't jeans and a t-shirt."

At Arella, April turns and smiles to her. "Hey!" She says, enthusiastically. "Staying out of gunfights I hope?" She then asks with a pointed grin.

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
'When in New York?' Janet's body language screams 'Oh helllll naww' and she rolls her weight from one hip to the other while pivoting to stare at Bruce, uplifting her masque to do so. "Uh-huh, buster brown, don't you dare qualify that statement," she tells Bruce. Her index finger traces an objecting Z-shaped path between them, head snaking in the opposite direction. "You come talk to *me* before you go see those trolls on Saville Row, or we--" she makes eye pointing gestures at Bruce. "-will go a round, buddy boy." She seems relatively serious about it, but it's also kind of hard to take the petite Avenger seriously with the smile curling at her brilliant lips.

"Carrie, it's a *pleasure* to meet you," she tells Bruce's companion. Her tone shifts to smoothly polite and she offers a very blue blooded squeeze of fingers. "Any friend of Bruce's, etc. Come on by my main offices sometimes and I'll get you roomed up with a draper," she tells the girl. "Nothing hangs like a tailored dress and I'm sure I can come up with something *fabulous* for you."

She looks at April and emphatically shakes her head. "You, too, missy," she scolds April. "You know how we bluebloods get, show up at the event of the season wearing something out of style and you'll get facechecked by the doorman. You come by also, we'll see what we can find. Bruce is buying, right?" she inquires, sharing a flickering wink and a smile with the woman at Bruce's expense.

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
Janet turns smoothly to Damian, handling all the introductions with effortless social acumen. "It's so nice to meet you, it's.. Damian, right? Mr. Wayne's son?" She grins at him. "It's so nice to meet you. I've heard your name but no one mentioned how handsome you are. You take after Bruce, definitely." She smiles warmly at Colette, then. "Contessa-to-be, it's a pleasure to meet you. You look fantastic this evening, who are you wearing?" she inquires, examining Colette's attire. "Mr. Wayne, you should bring her along for a fitting," she tells Damian. "I never get to drape couples, I could come up with some brilliant ideas for the two of you."

Carrie Kelley has posed:
"What?" Carrie stares a moment at the winking Bruce only for her cheeks to redden rather visibly. She'll blame it on the light. Her attention flits back toward Janet when she's introduced offering a bright smile. "It's great to meet you, Ms. Van Dyne. I do admire your work but to be honest I was always hoping to get to meet you since I'd started working on a project for Mr. Stark regarding the Avenger's internet presence. Unfortunately that was just a bit before the whole 'mansion disappearing' situation. I'm afraid I haven't had a chance to follow up since, what with college and the holidays." Sheepishly she adds, "I'd love to stop by sometime."

Then she looks toward the other redhead that was April with a broad grin. "It's nice to meet you too, Ms. O'Neil. I've just begun listening to your podcast but I love how insightful and thorough you are in your work."

Stardust has posed:
Colette inclines her head in silent acknowledgement of Selina's compliment, and slips her an envelope before she is whisked away by the social whirl. When opened, it will be found to contain a moderately generous donation, apparently provided by the government of France. She probably did that on purpose to add to the general air of mystery she's trying to cultivate. Maybe she really /is/ a French spy after all.

"Ah, the modeliste!" Colette responds on being introduced to Janet. She doesn't seem remotely phased by Janet's flirty smile towards her companion. Assertive yes, possessive no. Maybe she wasn't lying about the bodyguard thing then. "I have one or two of your creations in my wardrobe. Please do not take Damian too seriously when he says 'countess'. It's a little joke, no more. We don't really do nobility any more. Of course we have retired all the guilliotines, but still, being nobility is considered somewhat to be in bad taste. Oh this?" She gestures down at her ridiculously elaborate period costume. "A mere nothing. Marie-Jeanne Bertin whipped it up for me back in 1784." Maybe the time-traveller thing then? She has yet to offer any evidence for her claims about the semi-colon, though.

Arella Despana has posed:
The Dark Elf cants her head in an almost feline manner as she speaks with April, "No gunfights - one barfight. Some fool tried to punch me in the face and earned a broken fist. I did not even have to block the blow. Superior molecular density and cybernetics have their advantages. Trouble tends to find me. Did you want to make a date to talk on your podcast if that is still on the cards?"

Black Panther has posed:
T'Challa arrives late. Some of the paparazzi are gone, though there were still a few outside snapping pictures. But it seems like his intention to show up after the crowd had died down a little has mostly worked as T'Challan walks in, escorting Jessica Drew. T'Challa is in Wakanda garb, dark clothing embroidered in purple, and a mask with the same color schemes. He looks about once they are inside. "I must make my apologies to Miss Kyle for coming late," T'Challa says to Jessica in his soft African accent as he looks about to locate her.

Batman has posed:
"Jason. Kitty. You two look lovely, the car treating you well?" Bruce says to one of his favorite pairs. "Jason, Kitty. Meet Janet Van Dyne, our new family tailor, should either of you need something. I have an account there, you're included. Do not go crazy with it," Bruce continues introductions then he gives a nod to April. "And this is April O'Neil, one of the better reporters on this coast. April, Janet, this is Jason Todd, my son. And the lovely lady is his girlfriend," he says to to introduce everyone. "You both have met my other son, Damian. But son, you haven't introduced me to your date this evening..."

Catwoman has posed:
Selina Kyle gives Bruce and the extended Wayne family their space. She's not part of their group. Not yet, anyhow. She's still working on the glass of champagne, the jeweled tiger mask back on her head but pushed up so her face remains visible. Idle chit-chat and words of congratulations on the money raised are offered by a few other donors near the open bar, and she replaces her glass with another of red wine. Soft music plays where the floor is open for those who wish to dance, the pace kept slow. Most people are operating on full bellies after the multi-course meal and the conclusion of the speeches.

Red Hood has posed:
"Miss Van Dyne, Miss O'Neil. A pleasure. I don't really do the tailored suits things. That's more a Damian or Dick thing. Or even Tim." Jason shrugs his shoulders, before he gives Bruce a wry smile. "You already know my girlfriend, Katherine Pryde. Oh, don't worry, we're only here long enough to give our hellos. And you know, Kitty wanted to accept an offer you made to her. But I figured after we get back from flying to Vegas, going to the Elvis Chapel of the Otherworldly Peanut Butter and Nana Sandwich and a quickie wedding, we'll come back and she can ask you about that training that you asked her about."

And he just /waits/. Because he's not going to smile. Nope. He knows Kitty asked Bruce a question. And he missed it. So. Revenge.

April O'Neil has posed:
April sips from her drink and she grins at Janet then as she lowers the tall glass down once more. "He definitely is. I know I'm not!" She then laughs softly before she looks back to Arella.

A wince is given at the mention of a bar fight. "You gotta watch out for stuff like that... but then, I've seen you fight. You were clearly able to take care of yourself then, so I imagine you did just fine... And totally, yes. I mean, I can't set up a date right this second. But, come by the studio and we can figure it out! We usually have about a week's worth of shows planned out ahead of time, so beyond that time frame is when new stuff starts falling into time slots."

April looks back then as Bruce is hot on more introductions. "Son? Wow." She offers a handshake to Jason. "Your father is quite a guy!" She says with a light laugh then and now she has a name to Kitty's face! "My aunt's name is Kitty... which, I know isn't that impressive." She flashes a grin then and tries to breath, more champagn is needed!

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
"Tony's always getting mixed up in that sort of nonsense," Janet reassures Carrie. "And he follows through on about ten percent of the stuff he agrees to. You come talk to me at the mansion," she reassures her, and gives her wrist a reassuring squeeze. "We'll do dinner and talk about your plans. Not *all* of us are fuddy-duddies like Tony. Even *Steve* has a Facebook page."

She looks around. "Speaking of, where the hell *is* he?" she mutters, trying to find the Star-Spangled Man.

Colette's brassy statement earns her a *look* before Janet bursts out laughing. "Honey, I doubt that. You'd have a petticoat on that made your butt look like a bureau drawer. This is good, though, lovely attention to detail. The pearls are a nice touch," she muses. "Is this Michelle's work? It looks like Michelle's work," she says to herself, examining Colette's sleeve. "She has such a gift for those older designs. But she's an 'artiste' and absolutely *refuses* a full-time job," she mutters, rolling her eyes disparagingly.

She's being introduced to Jason and Kitty, then, and pardons herself to exchange gentle fingerclasps with both. She has all the aristocratic bearing of old Yankee money, someone who lives and breathes the social scene of upscale New York society. "Jason, it's so nice to meet you. Gosh, another Wayne kid?" She bumps Bruce with her elbow. "Where do you find the *time*?" she inquires of Bruce, sotto voce. Kitty's given a beaming smile and she steps forward with a kiss to the air near Kitty's cheek. "Kitty, you look wonderful. Both of you, same, come down to my fashion house and we'll work something out. Don't give up on a fitted suit too soon, Jason," she says, fairly purring up at the Wayne scion. "You'd be amazed how comfortable a properly fitted one can be."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde smiles to Bruce Wayne, telling him, "Thank you very much. And yes, the car was wonderful to have for tonight. We appreciated it a lot." She looks over to April and Janet as the introductions are made. "Kitty Pryde," she offers to them. Having already complimented April on her podcast, Kitty looks over to Janet and then just beams at the other woman's greeting! Kitty says, "Your designs are really inspiring, Miss Van Dyne. I'm really pleased to get to meet you. And, everything you've done for the city and all, the Avengers? Just... a very big fan." Kitty flashes a huge smile over to Janet. "Thank you, I'll really look forward to that!"

She hears Jason then and turns to give him a tiny little elbow as she shakes her head at him, though her eyes show amusement more than anything. She looks back to Bruce. "I was just saying, if it's ok I'll give you a call, about taking you up on what you mentioned about staying safe in Gotham."

Red Hood has posed:
Jason Todd deadpans to Janet without much thought. "Some people adopt kittens. Some adopt dogs. My father, Miss Van Dyne, adopts children." He gives a soft oof at Kitty's elbow. "Alright, alright. We have to go. Carrie, you have to hold down the fort!" With that, he's heading off. "We'll send you pictures with Elvis. And maybe aliens."

Arella Despana has posed:
"I would be delighted to do exactly that Ms O'Neill," Arella says amiably. Her accent has a sort of nordic flavor to it. Perhaps unsuprising given her race's preminence as antagonists in Nordic mythology.

She turns to Bruch and his crew addressing them but mostly Bruce, "And these are the Waynes. Mr Luthor spoke highly of your acumen in business," she says to Bruce - though the remark is spoken as though any could comment on it as she is sort of addressing the crowd around Bruce Wayne.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
"A dual fitting, fantastic! I will take you up on that soon!" Damian offers to Janet, a grin on his face. "A pleasure, as always."

Green eyes glance at Bruce, this was the moment he was hoping to make. "Father." He says, his outward demeanor changing quickly, pointed and sharp. "Capitain Nicolette Caron, member of the Direction generale de la securite exterieure." He offers in correct French pronunciation. "She took an immense interest in one of your companies. What was it, petit? Investigation?" He asks, as if trying to remember what nefarious deed Bruce was up to concerning the French government.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley smiles warmly, "Actually he'd given me a visitors pass... but yes that was awkward," she has to admit recalling the whole 'maybe killer robot' situation. "Thank you, Ms Van Dyne, I'll do that."

Her attention shifts toward April again who was engrossed with speaking to Arella. The dark skinned woman, clearly not human, is regarded thoughtfully but she tries not to outright stare. Even if she wanted to... Jason and Kitty call out about leaving. "What? You are not leaving me here alone, Jason! It was your idea I come in the first place! Plus you have the car," she mutters with a shake of her head. "Excuse me," she offers to Janet with a sigh. "He's such a butt."

Batman has posed:
Bruce is happy to see Carrie and Janet talking. Also, the introductions to keep going. Right now, it's a pleasant whirlwind. "Janet. Jason is adopted, but we do share the same rugged good looks. Damian is not adopted. I don't have that much time, unfortunately." Bruce teases back and shakes his head. Then he looks to then he looks at Jason. "Who is with you, son?" he says again and nods toward Colette. Damian is not getting off the hook.

"Kitty, the vehicle will be at your place of business in three days." A look is given to Jason, "Make sure she takes it to the mechanic," yes they have a proper mechanic. Then he looks to Arella, "Yes. I respect Lex's mind. While we may have different ideas, your boss is an intelligent man." It's a point he has to concede. Then he looks to Damian knowing the tactic. Going tit for tat, "Jason. Just to remind you, Damian is grounded. Early bed time after tonight," and Jason should understand Bruce's veiled meaning.

A hand extends to Nicolette, "We should talk Miss Caron. I'll give you my card," he says to the young woman.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
Jessica nods to T'Challa as he looks for Selina to offer apologies for tardiness. "Of course, yeah, I've got this...I promise not to web anyone," she adds with a conspiratory smile, as though there had been some conversation in this regard before their arrival. Jess turns back toward the crowd, looking statuesque, wearing a long black dress that is fitted down to the knees and then flares just enough to pool around her black patent heels. There is a large cutout in back, from black lace buttons at her neck down to her waist, baring most of her back. She wears a black lace mask that frames her eyes and covers her nose - it looks gothic, and the lace itself bears a resemblance to spider webs. At her throat, a ruby brooch. Her hair is a cascade of soft, dark waves down over her shoulders. And she's thankful that the mask covers what is almost certainly a look of mild panic at the sheer number of people in attendance.

Red Hood has posed:
When Bruce mentions that Damian is grounded, Jason's expression changes for a moment. "Sure thing." he says, before he nods to Carrie. "Ready to go when you are." he says as he starts to gather up Kitty. "I came with Carrie, Babs, and Kitty - but Babs already left to meet with her father. Police stuff." he shrugs his shoulders.

However, as he's turning to leave, he pauses at Damian, some soft words shared with his younger brother, before giving a nod of his head to Colette. "A pleasuse to meet you Mademosille Countess Contessa Capitain." he rattles off.

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
Janet stares at Carrie. She glances around and steps closer to the woman, beckoning her nearer to murmur: "I've noticed a butt is what the Wayne boys all have in common," she deadpans. One eyelid flickers in a wink and she bumps Carrie lightly with an elbow before bursting out laughing. She covers her mouth politely, then gives Carrie's arm a squeeze. "No apologies needed, darling, you go do what you've got to do," she tells Carrie.

"Kitty, Jason, it was lovely to meet you," she tells the couple. "You two make a cute couple. Come see me soonest, okay?" She blows them a kiss (and winks at Jason flirtatiously) before they can go.

Then Bruce remarks that Damian is grounded and Janet gives the youngest Wayne another once over. She shudders, visibly, as she realizes she was flirting with a teenager. "I have *got* to stop spiking my own punch," she mumbles to herself, and hands her drink off to a passing waiter in exchange for a slender flute of champagne.

Janet can't see very far-- the downside of being short-- but she's partially visible near the core of the crowd from Jessica and T'challa's position, and it's hard to miss her bubbly and infectious laugh echoing around the hall periodically.

Black Panther has posed:
Black Panther gives a soft touch to Jessica's hand and says, "I see Janet there, and Miss Kyle, I believe." He begins walking over to join them, moving until they manage to make it near to Selina. "Miss Kyle?" T'Challa will ask when he will not be interrupting her other conversations. "I apologize for arriving so late. You remember Miss Drew, I believe? I hope we are not too tardy to make a small donation," T'Challa says, offering her an envelope. "Along with the donation, I would like to extend an offer that should the sanctuary come across any animals that are young enough they can be raised and reintroduced to the wild, Wakanda offers to assist in restoring them to one of their native habitats."

T'Challa smiles as he hears Janet's laugh. "It sounds like Janet is enjoying herself," he says to Jessica, "If you wish to join her? Or if not we can go and find her shortly," he offers.

Stardust has posed:
"Michelle?" Colette replies to Janet with a puzzled expression. She blinks thoughtfully, then a look of understanding spreads across her face. "Ah, Madame Eloffe's young assistant? No, this is Rose's work. As for the crinoline... ah! So true. I had it removed. In this modern era of yours, doorways are so small. It is quite impractical." She's surely making the whole thing up, but she does a good job of selling it. You'd almost think she really believed she had been dress shopping in 18th century Paris.

Colette is quick to switch to officer of the DGSE, though. The handshake she offers Bruce is businesslike and formal. "M'sieur Wayne. Please let us not talk of 'investigations'. This is not the place for such discussions. There is no need to mar the occasion with such talk. I am sure there is nothing to the allegations. An oversight here, an over-zealous employee there, some paperwork that has... ah." She gives a gesture like someone tearing up paper. "It is nothing to worry yourself about, I am sure. These things have a way of working themselves out."

Jason's multi-titled greeting gets a slight incline of the head from Colette. "Comtesse. Not contessa. That is for Italians. They take such matters so seriously, don't you think? I would not wish to upset them."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde offers good nights to those she knows and those she has met. "It was a lovely time, Miss Kyle, thank you for the evening," Kitty says. Many people are given smiles and waves, the Wayne men and their dates and those that Kitty has been introduced to. She smiles to Jason then and says, "I just know you're dying to stop for a burger aren't you?" She has a teasing smile as she says, "Shall we? Are you ready Carrie?" Kitty grins and reaches over to slip her hand through Carrie's elbow if they start walking together.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
"What a lovely affair," Jess offers to Selina once T'Challa has greeted her. "You've outdone yourself, Ms. Kyle. Very well-done."

Jessica notices Janet at almost the same time T'Challa mentions her. She nods, slipping a round black compact from her clutch and making sure her dramatic red lipstick is immaculate, and not painting her teeth. Janet would never let her live it down. With a snap of the mirrored compact as she tucks it away again, she smiles and nods to T'Challa, taking his hand and moving to the center of the room where Janet is hobnobbing.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley turns a rather bright shade of pink when Janet teases about the Wayne boys derriers. "Well, yes," she has to admit quietly with a little laugh of her own at the playful banter. "Thank you," she adds with a quick nod. Then she peels away from the group around Bruce to catch up with Jason and Kitty. A glance is cast toward Damian as she passes by as well along with a quietly murmered, "See you later." She wasn't going to interrupt his date and the obvious issue going on with Bruce. Yep.

When Kitty joins arms with her she leans slightly against the other girl with a sigh. "Hugely ready. I didn't realize I was so rusty on my crowd handling skills."

Batman has posed:
Bruce even blushes a little bit about the butt comment. "Miss Janet, I think you might make the Captain, jealous." Although, it is nice to get that flirtacious compliment, as he is a Wayne fella.

Then he nods to Miss Caron, "Contact me so we can speak more on this," and then he waves to the departing Wayne Children (Kitty included). "Stay safe," he says as they depart. Breathing out, the party is still in swing. A look is given to April to see if she is able to keep up. To see if she is alright. If need be, he would happily give her a ride back home.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian's eyes flare at the mention of grounding, one last chide in it seems.

Jason's soft spoken words get some back, before for everyone to hear. "Yes, Nicolette, my brother, Jason. One of two who have my ear normally, I believe you've met the other, Richard." He says, in polite code to Colette. She'd understand.

Damian looks to Jason and gives a nod as he offers his arm to Colette. "Shall we, wouldn't want to be up past my own BEDTIME." He says, aloud and pointed. He said all this with a straight face, even with a nod to Carrie as she snuck in one last communique.

Catwoman has posed:
Selina Kyle catches a moment for herself, just after Kitty seeks her out. "Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it, and I'm even more glad we raised so much for them. Maybe we'll see each other again at one of these things." Felix Parker, the person responsible for the Big Cat Habitat, is holding court near the podium with a small group of donors as he goes into extra detail about some of what they do.

That space is soon filled by T'Challa's arrival, along with Jessica. "Oh, it's a shame you missed most of the fun. Better late than never, especially with.." Here she accepts the envelope and gives a small whistle once she's looked inside. "..this to help make up for it. Did you hear? We already raised a few million dollars. We had some /big/ donors. Bruce Wayne really spread the word."

She listens to the Wakanda offer, flashing him a wide grin. "I don't know if that will be possible, with what Mr. Parker was saying, but I'm not going to rule it out. Oh, and how do you like my dress? Janet came through for me on it, and the mask. You're both looking very nice as well."

April O'Neil has posed:
April sets her empty glass down on the nearest tray for that very designed purpose and she nods softly to Arella. "I look forward to it, for certain!" She says with a slight smile before she looks to Bruce and reaches up to lower her mask back down over her eyes, she smiles brightly at him and moves to join him. "Thanks for all the introductions tonight. This whole thing has been an impressive affair, really." She says to him then and seems to intend to walk with him.

Red Hood has posed:
Jason Todd shares a few more words with Damian, and he places a quick hand on his younger brother's shoulder, giving it a quick squeeze before he nods slowly to something said, responding quickly before he's heading off.

Black Panther has posed:
T'challa tells Selina of her outfit, "Absolutely stunning. Janet never lets one down. And not only when it comes to fashion," the Wakandan says. "I am glad that the affair has been so successful. I will have to make a point to congratulate Mr. Wayne on the success as well." T'Challa says. "Let me go and say hello to my teammate now, or else..." T'Challa leans close to Selina to whisper, "She will grab me by the ear later." He's joking of course. Isn't he?

T'Challa smiles and gestures that Selina is welcome to join he and Jessica if she does not have others to talk to, as he then moves to join the others. He just flashes a warm smile to Janet when he draws near, the expression a little lopsided with one side of his mouth higher than the other, which just somehow adds to the warmth in it.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
He isn't joking.

Jessica smiles and holds out a hand toward Janet. "Sooo glad to see you here, Janet. How are you? The night finding you well? I apologize for not y'know...." She gestures down to her own dress. "I mean I have meant to come by for a fitting but you know, things just sort of...blew up, right?"

Batman has posed:
"Good night, Damian," Bruce says knowing Damian can be bitter. April is near him, and he gives a nod. "I am happy to help out." Then he offers his hand. "Miss Kyle, this has been a wonderful evening. Just know I will be doubling my contribution," he says to the woman hoping she would like that. Blue eyes turn forward for a moment as he presses forward with Miss O'Neil, "Shall I escort you home?" and starts to walk out with her.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian gives a nod to his brother, allowing them to leave before himself and the young lady he entered with. "I actually had fun." He offers, a smile on his face.

Stardust has posed:
Colette inclines her head to Bruce. "You must understand there are things that I may not discuss with you at this moment, but of course. We shall speak soon." She steps away with a smile, taking Damian's offered arm. A quick round of understated farewell nods to all present and she replies to Damian. "Ah do not worry about such things. We'll use the teleporter and go to Tokyo. It's mid-afternoon there, many hours yet to go before your BEDTIME. The night is still young - or should that be the afternoon? I know a bar we can go to that won't ask you for ID. It's a bit of a yakuza hangout though, so no using your real name. We don't want to have to deal with another kidnapping attempt. Certainly not while I am dressed like this." Close observers may notice the grin and wink she gives him.

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
"Well, if Steve wants to come defend his honor, he knows right where I am," Janet tells Bruce. She sips her glass, expectantly, then her face falls flat when Steve doesn't materialize out of nowhere. "Damnit, where *is* that man? I want to dance," she grumbles, and pulls a phone out of her pocket(!) to fire a text off at him.

She spots Jessica and T'challa drifting her way and emits a happy squeal. She skitters towards Jessica with a click of heels and enthusiastically hugs her teammate, bypassing the hand entirely. "Jess! Honey, you look *fantastic*," she reassures her friend. "I know, things get busy. I'm not even mad, you look so hot," she tells Jessica. She hipchecks the woman affectionately and gives her hands enthusiastic squeezes. "And T'challa, come down here and give me some royal lovin'," she says, and gives him a warm hug and a kiss to the cheek that's more affectionate than lascivious. "God, you're as bad as Steve," she declares with a squeeze to his arm. "Everyone on the team's entirely too tall."

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
"I'm sure Steve is doing something /very/ important, Janet." Like setting Deadpool traps in his apartment. "If you can't find anyone with a better butt, I'll dance with you." Jessica hugs Janet affectionately and grins at T'Challa. "At least the life of the party is still here, right?"

Catwoman has posed:
"I can't for long - lots of hands to shake and people to thank - but I'll make my way back through and stop for a few seconds," Selina says, tucking the envelope away. It will be added to the rest later for a final tally. "It's gone better than I could have hoped," she adds, her green eyes flashing with amusement at the thought of T'Challa being taken by an ear.

Bruce's words cause that smile to grow even wider. "Oh, that's just delightful, Bruce! What, did you see some of the other totals and decide you couldn't look bad?" she asks with a wink, nudging him in the side with a tiger-striped elbow. "You two have a nice ride back to..wherever," the raven-haired woman finishes, nodding toward April as well. There may be an interview in that woman's future, but it all depends on how willing Selina is to speak about anything.

Just like that, she's on her way through again to finish up with a few other people and give Felix Parker an update.

Batman has posed:
"I am just escorting Miss O'Neil home, Bruce says as he is elbowed. A shake of his head, he gives the greeting, and departure, of two kisses on the side of her face. "Lovely party." he says and departs.

Arella Despana has posed:
Arella waves goodbye to April O'Neill and Bruce Wayne and notices T'Challa and his crew heading across the party. She moves up behind the royal and says, "Hey there your 'grace' recognise me from Canada?" Like as though anyone could not recognise her distinct visage. Well she might blend in at a comic convention with alot of WoW cosplay.

Black Panther has posed:
T'Challa's face lights up as Janet is moving to give him a hug. "Ah, Janet. Radiant as ever. They hold the event at night as you'd outshine the sun when you dress up," he tells her with a warm chuckle. T'Challa flags down a round of drinks to distribute.

The Wakandan hears the voice behind him and turns around to see Arella. His face is as composed as ever as he gives a small incline of his head. "I do. You look as if you have recovered from your ordeal nicely," he tells her. "I understand you have found a home within one of the corporations here. And how is that arrangement suiting you?" T'Challa asks Arella in a level voice.

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
Janet lifts a brow at Jessica. "Sweetheart, I haven't even had any bourbon, and *I* think you've got a nice butt," she tells the leggy raven-haired woman. T'challa's talking to Arella so Janet slips past him and tugs Jessica's hand. "C'mon, come dance with me then!" she urges her, as a faster-paced song comes on. With the crowd thinning, the elderly statesmen and grand dames of the social scene are becoming outnumbered by the young and beautiful people, and Selina's DJ seems to know it.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
Jessica grins and lets go of T'Challa as Janet drags her to the dance floor, enjoying the freedom of the music and the atmosphere, now that many of the heavier personalities have departed. "All right, this IS fun, I have to admit!"

Arella Despana has posed:
"I am fine I suppose. I work in a lab - that is what it is commonly called yes? What intrigues me is the strange place that the Svartalfar have in popular culture here. Night Elves in this World of Warcraft game. Drow in the pen and paper tabletop game Dungeons and Dragons. I get a million questions from the... nerds in my office. All of this and we barely had anything to do with humans in thousands of years. Directly that is." Arella shrugs. "You must have your fans - how do you cope?"

Black Panther has posed:
"How do I cope? Well, most of what you speak of would be within my country. Where I have a duty to them. They look to me for guidance and safety. That is a cherished thing. To have such trust from others?" T'Challa says. "I suppose here, there are some 'fans' now of the other variety. If their knowing there is someone fighting for them? Working to ensure their safety? If that helps their lives to be better? If meeting me, on a street or at some event, should matter to them? I feel good knowing that. I feel good being able to give that to them. Many people never have a chance to know the satisfaction of contributing to others on such a scale. I know that you are one who has such capacity, though?" T'Challa tells her, eyes studying her the entire time he speaks to her.

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
Janet dances eagerly with Jessica, though she's not totally uninhibted. Just her usual flamboyant self. She's all arms and legs, shoulders and hips moving with a smooth rhythm. When T'challa glances over, she promptly turns around and starts backing up at Jessica as flagrantly as she can in an effort to provoke a laugh from the often stern African monarch.

Captain America has posed:
Finally -- finally -- here comes the leonine Avenger, dressed in his black and his bronze, with a flute of champagne in each hand. Within the crystalline glasses, it's fine and sparkles like wit itself. It's also probably an apology in its way. While he was politely attentive during the speeching (and lifted his own flute in salute to Bruce's quip), he was deeply involved with discussions of interest to his affairs in the veterans' circles. There are connections to be made, after all, even if the event is sporting whiskers and supporting the wild.

Janet's not hard to spot, given she's...backing it up into what appears to be Jessica, which means...

"Your highness." There's no mistaking the Brooklyn accent even as he pauses nearby T'Challa, though he's still eyeing the goofing on display with mirth clear in his masked blue eyes.

Arella Despana has posed:
"I am trying not to be a hero in truth your Highness. The last time I tried doing that for my own people I became the chief intellect behind a war machine that killed trillions. If that becomes necessary and Earth ever has that many enemies I might consider coming out of retirement." Arella gives T'Challa a lopsided smile. She nods to Steve as he enters. "I do dabble though - rescued a couple of security guards from a robbery. Didn't pursue the robbers. I'm still working out who is who. What is lawful and acceptable. What the Overton window is for polite conversation."

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
Jessica is still dancing, raising her arms as Janet backs up toward her, and endulging the spectacle further. "I feel like this /might/ be inappropriate, Janet," she calls out just over the music, but she doesn't stop. Now she's laughing and enjoying a few moments free of the stresses of current world conflicts.

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
Janet milks her signature move for a few moments longer before laughing gaily and turning to hug Jessica. "Oh fine, you spoilsport. God, I'm living with a bunch of fuddy-duddies," she scolds the raven-haired woman. And then she laughs again and hugs Jessica tighter before turning to walk towards the two male Avengers and the woman addressing them.

She gives Steve a look of smouldering irritation. "-You-, Captain, are in hot water," she tells Steve. She takes one of the flutes from his fingers and drains it in a single swallow, never taking a gimlet eye from his masqued face. "Social event of the year and I'm without a date. I've had Canadian boyfriends more persent than you. Shame!" She pokes his sternum with a fingertip.

Black Panther has posed:
T'Challa glances over towards the dance floor. Stern? He's never Stern. He's just... composed. And that composure is broken as he sees Janet's dancing with Jessica. He breaks out in a soft chuckle.

Steve's approach keeps the smile on his face. "Ah, Steve," he says. It took him a little while, but 'Captain Rogers' finally did turn into 'Steve'. "I trust you had a good time tonight?" he asks. T'Challa motions towards Arella. "This is Arella Despana. The woman whose spacecraft crashed in Canada, that Thor and myself responded to. This is Steve Rogers, the Avenger known as Captain America," he says in introduction.

T'Challa looks back towards Arella. "Well, though wars can be necessary, we try to be a peaceful planet. It is good to hear that you are concerned of learning our laws and customs," T'Challa says.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
Jessica doubles over laughing for a moment, then returns Janet's hug. She /might/ have had a champagne. Or two.

Returning along with Janet to meet back up with the men, Jessica shakes her head sorrowfully. "You've done it now, Cap..." Jess grins and gives T'Challa a wink, then looks back to Janet and Steve.

Captain America has posed:
Given the full facial coverage of the mask, Steve's smile can be seen in his eyes as he glances back at T'Challa. Good -- about time he became 'Steve'. His eyes behind his mask then shift to the Elf and he gives her a nod. "Yes, Miss Arella and I have MET -- "

The sharp upswing in volume is due to Janet's arrival and consequent theft of champagne flute. His eyebrowing also can't be seen behind the mask, but by the way he leans back from the petite fashionista, she's caught him on the back foot. "You seem no worse for the wear. I thought I'd let you hob-nob. I had to catch up with some old friends." There's still a hint of amusement in the news, as if he's priding himself on making his little pun. "You weren't having fun with Jessica?" He glances over at the other female Avenger and his attention lingers as if looking for confirmation.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
"She only danced with me because she couldn't find your butt..." Jessica's brows furrow visibly just above the black lace mask. "Or something..."

She looks back to T'Challa and seems eager to join that conversation and try to escape the onslaught of judgment from the petite fashionista, which is being leveled in the direction of a man without his shield.

"That's ten pounds of anger in a five pound sack," she whispers to T'Challa as she sidles in.

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
Janet drifts closer to Steve and slips a hand around his waist so she can lean on him. "Oh, you thought you'd *let* me hob-nob?" There's a plastic smile on her face. "mmmmmHM. Okay. Well, thanks for that, then." Steve's chest is patted twice in a manner that bodes not well for the Captain later, and Janet turns to face the other Avengers. She does keep one arm posessively snaked around Steve's waist, though, irritated with him or not.

Never leave a drink at the bar, never bicker with your man around predatory New York society. One can see grand dames and bachlorettes lurking in the wings with eyes on T'challa and Steve alike. "I'm glad you two made it," she tells Jessica and T'challa. "How come you were late? Like, *hella* late, you totally missed the red carpet media circus," she advises them.

Arella Despana has posed:
"I visited the exterior of the Avengers mansion," Arella clarifies for T'Challa. "Apologies gentlemen but it is late and I must adjorn." Arella bows out leaving the event.

Black Panther has posed:
T'Challa nods and watches Arella bow out before he turns back to the others. The exhalation that relieves his tension is a subtle thing that many probably would not pick up on. But some others might.

Janet's question causes a tilt of T'challa's head. "Yes, we missed the media circus. Yet arrived in time for Jessica to have fun dancing with you. I believe that would be, mission accomplished then," the Wakandan tells her with a smile. He looks to Jessica, doing his best to keep a straight face at her softly spoken comment. T'Challa clear his throat and asks Janet, "And so has it been a good night for you, Janet?"

Captain America has posed:
Given it's difficult to drink his champagne with his mouth covered, Steve lifts off his mask and blows a sigh. He doesn't seem to mind Janet at his side in the least and even rests the mask-bearing hand at the small of her back. Attentive? Absolutely, even if his face is set in cordial attention as he glances around the others.

"Have a nice night, Miss Arella," he says to the departing Elf. He's otherwise occupied with glancing between T'Challa and Janet, uninclined to be chatty at the time.

Iron Man has posed:
Some others may have evaded or avoided the media circus, but Tony creates his own. It doesn't matter if he's fashionably late or not, he'll attract that type of thing. So even his delayed arrival is even later, due to hanging around with the media for way too long. Finally, though, he waves out of it and swans his way into the party, requiring a drink of the very first of the waitstaff he runs into.

Tony isn't disguised. It's extremely clear exactly who Stark is. He's in theme, a sleek, expensive black suit; his vest is a rich matte gold, with brilliant ribbons of shiny ruby red stripes going through it. His 'mask' amounts to techno glasses that subtly shine with red and gold across his upper cheekbones: a mask made of holographic light to create Tony the tiger in red and gold.

"Whoa whoa, come on back here with that," Tony says, catching a drink off of the waitstaff's tray, starting his usual 'shake hands and take pictures with everyone' routine that he does at parties.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
Jessica furrows her brow, looking between the others, and back to T'challa, sensing the tension among them. She's about to ask what that was all about, when Tony comes positively bouncing in, seemingly on top of the world.

"Well, Tony! Don't YOU look Grrrrrreat?" Jess asks with a wink and a brilliant smile. "Looks like SOMEONE'S had fun tonight, most definitely..."

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
"Hey, it's *always* fun to dance. With Jessica," Janet says. Was that a dig at Steve? It's hard to say, Janet's being so Perfectly Polite. "But it's been fun, I'm apparently working for Bruce Wayne now?" She laughs. "I'm gonna have to talk to him about that. Make a man a suit or two suddenly I'm his 'family tailor'." She rolls green eyes behind the silver of her masque. "But I didn't want to dime him out in front of his hot kids. I mean his kids." She looks over her shoulder and laughs. "Oh, god, Tony's here! Quick, everyone hide!" she says, just loud enough that Tony surely heard her teasing him.

Arella Despana has posed:
Tony almost collides with a departing figure in a sleek one piece dress. This woman is instantly recognisable as an Elf a svartalfar or /the/ Svartalfar that crashed into Canada recently. Long stringy white hair, blue grey skin, large pointy ears and overlarge green eyes. If one can get past all that Arella Despana as she is known is a good looking Elf.

She dodges Tony Stark and speaks the obvious, "You're Tony Stark?" a rhetorical question.

Captain America has posed:
As attention turns from jovial updates on party goings-ons towards the impossible-to-miss arrival of the technological playboy-billionaire, Steve turns to look over his shoulder. A grin showcases his dimples.

"I wondered if we'd see him", Steve comments in a conversational volume. "Didn't know if he had a meeting to keep him elsewhere." The Captain's patient, however, and doesn't raise his voice towards Tony in greeting. Instead, just the champagne glass, still half-full.

Black Panther has posed:
Black Panther glances over towards Steve for a moment, eyes going towards the departing elf woman and then back to him again. He gives a troubled sigh before looking back to the ladies again. "I saw the outfit you made for Miss Kyle. You outdid yourself," T'Challa tells Janet.

He looks over to Jessica then and says, "You were out dancing and I missed it. I would have liked to join. I thought it best to finish a conversation first. I am glad that you are having a good time tonight," he tells her. He gets a beverage from a passing server as well, just choosing something that will taste good.

Iron Man has posed:
"THAT is not going to get old even a little bit; and it's equally true each time," Tony replies to Jessica with a charismatic, sleek grin, turning naturally to gesture to her with the hand holding his new drink, a point of finger to cement how right she is about how great he looks.

"By day, the hero Tony Stark, by night... Also the hero, Tony Stark," Tony teases Arella without full attention, other hand moving to guide her aside. If he knew what the Svartalfar looked like he's not registering that she'd be in front of him at a party. "Mo autographs right now, please; I have donations to make, pussycats to save," he adds to her with distracted, arrogant assumption. He lifts his glass towards Steve in answer, and gives Janet a 'aw, you got me', smirk and lift of eyebrows.

Yes, he's headed towards the Avenger clump.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
Jessica nods to T'Challa and grins at Janet. "I'm not usually the one out dancing. I blame Janet, she's just too good to pass up a dance with." Jess sounds as though she might be a little tipsy. Her eyes are shining, and she's all smiles - the first clue that maybe she's not completely sober. But she's had relatively little to drink. Chances are, she's just a complete lightweight who never imbibes.

"Tonyyy. I had champagne!" Jess quips. She doesn't seem to be bragging. Just an objective statement. "What if I wanted an autograph?"

Arella Despana has posed:
Arella shrugs and keeps walking. She pays the interaction no mind beyond wondering whether if indeed she ever meets Stark again whether he will remember that they had already met. Or whether that was even important. Back to the lab.

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
"Aww, you sweet thing," Janet grins at Jessica. "Anytime you wanna burn the dance floor down, you just say the word. I still want to rent out the VIP suite at Mjolnir some night. Bring the whole gang in for some well-earned libations," she remarks.

"You better keep Jess from having too much champagne," Janet teaess T'challa. She leans a bit deeper into Steve at the touch to her bare lower spine and flashes a dreamily affectionate smile up at him before looking to Jess and T'challa again. "I'll end up stealing one of you for the floor. Or both! I'm not picky," she says, and flutters her lashes at the duo as charmingly as possible.

Black Panther has posed:
The African man smiles over to Tony. "It is good that you were able to make it, Tony," T'Challa says to him. "Apparently we missed quite the gathering. Though I find the present company enough to make it a worthwhile night."

Janet's warning causes T'Challa to look over to Jessica. "Have you had very much?" he asks her, not having any idea what her tolerance is. "I imagine dancing is a good way to burn some of that off, though," T'Challa offers a hand to Jessica and asks, "Will you dance with me? Though I warn that I am no Janet." He looks over, flashing a grin towards the fashionista.

Iron Man has posed:
"/Did/ you? You left some for the rest of us, right?" Tony asks Jessica, upbeat. Tony generally glows at parties; it's like he absorbs all of the energy of it and somehow works his way into being central to a party. It's his /thing/.

"Janet, was that a threat? Because I'd welcome a dance, if you're up for one, and these guys aren't entertaining you properly," Tony offers to her, with a cheeky grin to the other men (particularly Steve), extending Janet an elbow and spark of flashy Stark charm. Careful Cap: Tony's terrible. But it's all in good fun.

"Where exactly would you like signed?" Tony asks Jessica. Not 'what', but 'where'.

"Hello, T'Challa. Nearly didn't, and I don't have loads of time before I need to work on something critically vital, but hey, breaks are good things. Clears the mind." Sort of; Tony's downed most all of his drink now. 'Clear' would not be the word for it.

Captain America has posed:
Steve just laughs at the show put on by Tony, including the overt display of charm. "Don't let me stop you," he replies towards both Janet and Tony. Perhaps it's a gesture of faith in both of his fellow Avengers. "There's champagne flowing. No reason we shouldn't enjoy it while we can." This comment includes Jessica and T'Challa as well as the sweep of the crystalline flute.

"I'll mind the table, you all go ahead and dance," he then adds to the group as a whole. "I'm happy to watch." By his grin, it's not a lie.

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
Janet steps away from Steve and palms her waist, elbow pointing backwards. She even lifts up her masque so she can give Tony a look of umbridged skepticism as her weight rolls from one foot to the other. "Wow, ok, Bruce is first on my list, and you're now a close second." She steps forward and piles into Tony with both hands and her arms locked straight out. She's fairly strong, but physics is a cruel mistress and she's just nowhere big enough to really destabilize Tony. "Get on the dance floor and impress me, smartass!" she orders him, and her feet skitter lithely as she keeps up with Tony.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
"Umm...sure..." Jess replies to T'Challa. She's uncertain she won't just be flailing awkwardly on the dance floor, but she assents to follow T'Challa with the same practiced smile and ease she's exhibited all night.

"I left you some!" she replies to Tony on her way past, holding up one hand, her fingers about an inch apart. "But if you're gonna autograph me, Tony, we'll have to wait till I'm not draped from head to toe in /sexy/..." She gestures to her statuesque form and the fabulous dress draped thereon.

Then, turning to T'Challa, she replies, "I'm fine, just a little. I think two glasses? Three? Four, tops."

Iron Man has posed:
"Before I get upset for my honor such as it is, what is the trait that your list is ranking?" Tony asks, amused. "I don't think 'second' really suits me." He accepts the 'assault' with a smooth movement. It's like he's had experience with such things before; his physical twist aside is playful. He likes to dance, particularly when it comes to impressing other people with it.

To be fair, a lot of those dances were during missile demonstrations, or other various events where he enjoyed himself on stage--- or after having taken over a DJ booth at some party--- or during some variety event where the talent brought him on for fun---, but he rapidly proves he's entirely capable. He hasn't had too many drinks to make him physically unstable. High functioning.

"I'll keep myself in check as much as possible; my seduction game's turned to eleven tonight," Tony 'promises' Janet, a grin curving his dark eyes amid the lighted 'mask' of hologram stripes across his cheekbones.

Black Panther has posed:
T'Challa lets out a soft laugh at Janet's antics with Tony. He takes Jessica's hand, moving her clear of what ensues there as they head out to the dance floor. "Oh, my," T'Challa says as he hears how many glasses she has had. Might have had. Could possibly have had. Haved?

But champagne just loosens up the dancing. T'Challa hasn't had any, but then the man is graceful. As a cat. Probably no one has seen him dance before, but as it turns out that is not because he cannot. And even if she's been drinking, he knows how graceful Jessica can be. T'Challa takes her hands and begins guiding her to show off the woman's fluid movements.

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
"Oh, well, THANK you, god," Janet says with a melodramatic eyeroll. "Here I was thinking I just didn't know how I'd contain the contents of my panties once you started doing your patented rootin' tootin' butt scootin' shuffle." She laughs up at Tony and palms his face away affectionately, then starts dancing with him.

Janet perhaps lack innate physical gracefulness but years of practice pay off. More importantly, she moves with consistent rhythm and a lack of inhibition, hips and shoulders swinging back and forth and one hand raised over her head for balance. "Woooo!" she screams as a song comes on.

The remaining dancers shout back and a tone of revelry fills the air as the DJ turns the lights down and cranks up a heavy, thudding beat. The old blue bloods clear out so the young people (and Steve) can have their moment to shine.

Captain America has posed:
Steve's taken up an easy lean on the nearest table devoid of other party-goers. The lion mask lies beside him with its burnished metallic paint reflecting the sudden changes of mood lighting. He lifts his brows and glances around him as the music takes on the leading bass rhythm and then appears to go back to paying attention to the dancing going on out on the floor. There's the sense that he's observing the moves and motions with a nonchalant air to cover most of his attention.

Dance lights wink off the glass as he lifts it to his lips and sips more champagne. It won't do anything to him, but it's a necessary cover to blend in to the echelon of remaining attendees.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
Jessica echoes Janet's "Woo!" and waves a hand over her head, swaying and wiggling with the music. For once, she just lets the music take over, and stops the stress, stops the anxiety, and gets lost in the darkness, the lights, and the thud of the bass. Her dress might as well be the one dancing, for all the care that she lets touch her in the surreality of the moment. Her smile is no longer practiced. Her body moves of its own accord.

For the first time in a very, very long time, Jessica is...just Jessica.

Iron Man has posed:
"Despite my incredible dancing prowess, no need to call me 'god', Janet. That's more a bedroom nickname for me, anyway," Tony answers her as she pushes at his face, his laugh clear and amused.

Tony's good just from general practice. He loves parties. LOVES. The emptied glass in his hand will slow him down, so... He hands that off to /somebody/ (a partygoer that probably didn't expect to be handed anything), much like he'd toss his keys at a valet, and has a good time.

His style is to enjoy himself and cause others around him to have a good time in dance, too. It isn't something graceful or exotic, it's sexy and rowdy and fun: and shameless. He's mostly dancing with Janet, but will pretty much dance with any women that get into his personal space. But for now, Janet will intimidate those others away, and it appears his style is going to mix with Janet's lack of inhibition pretty well!

Black Panther has posed:
T'Challa dances in an orbit around the carefree brunette. Keeping anyone from disturbing the moment for Jessica. The freedom of the music and forgetting all of her cares is something for T'Challa to enjoy. His own body moves in an effortless way, flowing to the rhythm and the pulsing beat that the DJ coaxes out of one song and another. Melding them together and with the effects into a tapestry of light and sound.

T'Challa's eyes leaving Jessica to glance over at Tony and Janet's more uninhibited movements. The dark eyes swing next over to Steve, one eyebrow going up briefly. But soon enough he's returned his attention to his dance partner, dancing with her and enjoying the night.

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
Janet hooks a wrist behind Tony's neck for balance and drives a beat down to the floor through her heels, hips rolling a licentious rhythm. Eyes lid and her head rolls back and forth in time with the pounding music. She shares Tony's uninhibited sense of fun and the desire to just throw caution to the winds to start dancing wildly. Tony's got nothing on Janet for being flirty, though. The definition of flirtation is leaving the other person wondering how sincere the communicator is being, and it's not even possible to see who Janet's actually flirting with. Tony? Jessica? Steve, sitting in the corner? She loses herself in the music, head tossing back and forth and intermittently not paying attention to anyone at all.

Iron Man has posed:
No, Tony's objective isn't as flirty as Janet's: his is more the /show/ of it all, which means he's aware, and using the crowd to ramp up even more. He'll spin and lead Janet to where more people can observe them; his natural knack for placement and drawing eyes will just bring more to see her flirtations!

And may also cause a lot of cameras: one of Tony's favorite things. "Better stick with me for an encore," Tony teases Janet, laughing. He'll only hold her for one additional song, though, before he'll get pulled away to needing to actually make his donation. The life of the playboy and philanthropist parts of being a billionaire genius!

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
The party goes on late into the night, free flowing drinks and companionship making for good revelry. The Avengers burn down the dance floor and end up closing down Selina's party, making Miss Kyle's charitable gala an unforgettable-- and successful!-- social event that will surely be discussed for years to come.
