Cast of Characters: Ms. Marvel, Souvenir

Ms. Marvel has posed:
Dressed in a warm sweater with a Captain America design on the front of it, the white star in the blue field and the red and white stripes, Kamala wears her warm leather jacket over it. Her brown hair is pulled up into a shayla that's wrapped around her head, tucking in her hair and around her neck, but leaving her face exposed. Jeans and leggins lead into warm boots, and over her shoulder she's carrying a pair of ice skates she just rented.

She checks her phone again to see when Erika is supposed to arrive as she moves to settle on a bench and take off her boots to start to change into the skates.

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir shows up in a black long coat with a hood, black leather gloves, blue pants, and some boots. She reaches up and pulls her hood over her face, and immediately goes for the hug, dropping into the bench and almost poking you with your skate on accident. "Hii! Mwah. What's up today?"

Ms. Marvel has posed:
Kamala manages to stretch out of the way just enough to not get poke. "Careful, don't want you to get skate vibes!" she says with a laugh as she returns the hug warmly and sneaks a quick kiss to her cheek before pulling back. "I thought maybe we could go skating. Spend some time together?" she asks. "And.. I.." she looks down for a moment. "I have a gift for you."

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir nods vigorously, blushing. "Okay! Skating is good, I haven't done that much of it. I mean, I probably should, but you know. It's a thing. Oh my gosh, I'm not even sure what to get you! I feel so bad. Like, I should know this stuff, right?"

She looks around, "I'm sorry stuff has been crazy, like, all the usual stuff and then some. I've been working out a bunch, and like... Other stuff."

Ms. Marvel has posed:
"Don't worry about it!" Kamala says warmly as she reaches into her pocket. "It's not much, anyway." she admits as she unfolds the little cloth it's in. "I know you said you get a reaction when you hold stuff against your bare skin. So I had to be careful. And I know you can't use it all the time. But."

She sets the small item in her hand, and holds it out. It's a small bracelet of gold chain with a gold charm in Urdu writing. "It's your name." she offers. "And I held it a good long time. I figured next time. We can watch a movie together. One of my favorites. And with this, you won't have to use subtitles. Right?" she asks curiously.

"And my only regret is I missed out on a selfie chance with them." she laments gently.

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir ohs! "Oh my gosh this is so nice! You read stuff and talked wearing this? That's super helpful for like doing stuff together. I was kind of feeling bad that like, if I went and checked out the neighborhood or something, I wouldn't understand half the stuff that was going on. This is super sweet! Thank you! And yeah, like, I don't see Lorna all that much, but like, Andrea and Mason Steele I have classes with and everything. I even got to help Mason out with it's a little benefit concert, the other day."

She looks around a bit. "So like, where did you get the skates from? Because this is kind of a surprise, for me. I don't even have any of my own."

Ms. Marvel has posed:
Kamala blushes when Erika gushes about the gift. "I figured we're kind of close, and just you know. Wanted to share part of me with you." There's a little smile at that. "Even if we're not sure what we are yet."

At the question, she gestures to a small booth that serves as the ticket booth usually. "They have skate rental over there. Just.. it won't touch your skin, will it?"

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir nestles in a bit. Because warm, right? If so, it works. "Not if I don't want it to, I have socks for that. I'm touching the socks, though. They're my socks, nothing super cool in them this time."

She hmms. "I mean, maybe I should have brought cooler socks, but I didn't think anything I had in file really fit. And they're usually pretty worn out. Hashtag one person's junk."

She stands. "I'm gonna get some skates, burb."

Ms. Marvel has posed:
Kamala watches after her for a moment before she finishes getting her skates on. "Okay. Just like roller skating, right?" she asks as she moves to the edge of the ice. Stepping onto it, she makes a few little slides to try to get used to things. And it looks like it's working before suddenly her skates go out from under her and 'whoompf', she falls right on her backside. "Oof!"

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir toes on the scrapey bits and creeps out to you. "Are you okay?" She kneels so she can offer a hand up. Even if she isn't sure how she's going to get back up again. "That kind of looks like it hurt." She squeezes your hand, looking concerned.

Ms. Marvel has posed:
There's a giggle. "Just my pride!" Kamala says as she pulls herself up with the help of your hand. Her fingers briefly twine against yours before she smiles. "Should we try this together? Four legs better than two or something like that." There's a warm smile offered to her before she prepares to start to skate again when Erika is ready.

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir nods and wobbles up to her feet. "I'm not so sure it works like that, but sure.." She takes your hand and wobbles, then starts moving forward slowly. "I'm pretty sure I can move around okay." She smiles at you warmly.

"I think I'm going to try out for the drama club. If I have time in between other stuff. "

Ms. Marvel has posed:
"That's so schway. Will I be able to come see your plays?" Kamala asks, squeezing your hand. "I mean, if I'm ever allowed to visit the school." She glances over to you as they start to slowly move around the ring. "I could never be an actress. But I am in the gaming club."

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir ooohs. "Lucky. I tried to see if there was a group. I found one, but like, oh so many broken stairs. Incel-y dudebros. I mean, there's probably others, just like, that group bit."

"There is totally going to be people watching plays, you can show up to those."

Ms. Marvel has posed:
"Yeah. I asked my Ammi about maybe a school visit. But she made a face when I mentioned a private school so far from the neighborhood. Maybe if I can get some ideas on what to say, or talk to a teacher or something." Kamala shrugs her shoulders and lets out a breath. Then she grins. "But if I do get in somehow, we can totally start our own gaming group!"

She sounds a little excited by that idea as she grips Erika's hand. "And you know, if noone else wants to play with us, we'll have our own awesome adventures."

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir nods vigorously. "Awesome!" She wobbles on her skates and flails a bit. "Ack!" She catches herself, crouching a bit. "Sheesh, I should practice this more. Not sure why, but you know. I was going to do a run after this."

Having possibly thrown you around flailing, she starts skating around slowly, since that seems to help. "I'd put a good word in for you, just, I dunno, they might give me side eye? Whatever. Anything happens to me, walk in, show off, scream for help. Not that I think anything is gonna happen, nothing ever happens to me. Other than the vampire, anyway, and I don't go out there at night now."

Ms. Marvel has posed:
Kamala nearly falls with you, and she manages to stretch just a little. Not enough to be noticable. Just to keep from falling as you get back to your feet and she giggles. Then there's a look of confusion, as she turns her attention from her skating to you.

"Why would they give you the side-eye?" she asks curiously.

"I mean, students make the whole.. recommend someone they know that is like them, right?" comes the question as she drifts around the ice slowly. "..my neighborhood is pretty normal. Except for like, the giant cockatoo with Thomas Edison's brain."

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir nods, "Oh yeah, just they might think I just want you to be closer so I can make out with you easier." She rolls her eyes. "Whatever. Anyways, I'm just some kid. I don't make the decisions." She skates around a bit, just content to stay close.

"I'm just trying to, you know. get better right now. I'm still working out what kind of stuff to do. Maybe, like, stage magic. Rabbits out of hats or something? I dunno. I keep being around people that are ten times more awesome than I am.

Ms. Marvel has posed:
"Erika Kristasdottir, how many times do I have to tell you about how special you are?" Kamala's voice is gentle in it's chide, but strong in it's conviction. "You sell yourself entirely short. You have this whole vibe where you can make something feel more comfortable and safe around you. You exude the whole vibe that you're someone you want on your side."

"As for your ability - do you know how awesome of a detective that could make you? I have to react to everything. I don't get to get ahead. But you? You can take the smallest piece of information, and break a whole case wide open without trying hard. You can get all these things. I mean, different languages, different skills." She turns to face Erika, skating backwards, as she continues, "Sure, that may be only for a moment, but you can know anything you want for a length of time. I mean, that's kinda like how I can copy someone for a short time, but always return to normal, but in that moment? You're in the spotlight, and you're the expert on whatever it is that you're doing, and that makes you spectacular!"

She leans in, but she slips on her skates and falls back down on her backside again and slides backwards. "Owwww." But she's looking up to her, hoping that her morale is at least a little boosted.

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir acks! and stops to help, ending up falling down next to you. "Ow!" She rubs her leg a little and frowns. "Yeah. I keep getting compared to this one guy. He sounds really awesome, but like, he got shot. So I have to try twice as hard so they won't think I'm going to go stumbling into danger like an idiot."

She looks at the side of the lake. "That's why I end up on all these runs and stuff. And studying weird stuff. And beating on heavy bags and trees. And, like.. Other stuff. Being a detective sounds super awesome, just.. you know." She reaches into her pocket and opens her phone, clicking 'Track location' in a message to Kamala. "Half badass, half small fish. I'm going to have to go soon."

She frowns some. "I do kind of wish you were around so I could practice stuff with you." She blinks a moment. "Not whatever you thought of in the gutter. Normal stuff." She blushes.

Ms. Marvel has posed:
"Why is it /my/ mind that went into the gutter?" Kamala asks, a frown creasing her features for a moment. "You're the one that told me not to think whatever it is that /you're/ thinking!" She sticks out her tongue, before she pushes herself to her feet. "One more time around the pond?" comes the hopeful question.

She accepts the v-card and tracker from Erika. "Now you'll know when I'm out of school." she says with a smile, as they finish the last circuit. "Okay. I guess this where I say goodnight for now. I'll try to get up here tomorrow. I have the whole weekend, so we can totally see a movie or something. Sound awesome?"

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir grins and gets back up. "Sure!" She offers her hand to skate around the lake before she has to do her run by herself.
