Cast of Characters: Cronenberg, Rage

Cronenberg has posed:
Roughly twenty minutes ago Doogie left a frantic message at the mansion. With the focus being on the recent kidnapping, there weren't many people to respond to his strange phone call. He mentioned an injury, people searching, and a fight. He said he would need a ride and someone with some first-aid training. It has to be serious, because he let a "shit" slip in the message, and Doogie generally doesn't swear.

Rage has posed:
A call is returned from the mansion from Andrea's phone. It ring ring ring as she makes her way to the armored SUV that pulls up out front, driven by her bodyguard, James. She is pulling her hair up behind her and tying it off with a band as she waits for him to answer.

Cronenberg has posed:
Doogie Decker answers the phone on one and a half rings. Even before he says anything there is the sound of heavy breathing, and a good amount of crying. "OHGOSH-OHGOSH-OHGOSH. They'reGonnaGetUs-OhGeez-OhDamn-PleasePleasePleaseHurry!" There is a brief sound like the sound of his phone rustling against fabric. In the background the sound of a vehicle or vehicles peeling past at high speed by an obvious angry driver.

Rage has posed:
"Doogie, breathe. It's me, Andrea. Where are you?" Andrea says calmly as she puts the phone on bluetooth, letting it out route into the car's speakers. She climbs into the passenger side, tapping at the GPS deck on the vehicle. "I'm on my way, but I need to know where you're at as best you can. Tell me everything if you can." The car takes off swiftly through the gates with a loud rumble.

Cronenberg has posed:
Doogie Decker breaths, taking in a few gasping and frantic breaths. "I'll send the coordinates to-to you GPS. Oh Geez, Oh Geez. Th-that's a lotta blood. I think it's blood. Oh geez, oh man. They were attacking that person, it was a mutant. Hitting them with bats. T-t-they had those Friends of Humanity arm bands. So I, I think I did something real dumb." While he's talking a message dings on your phone. He's in a commercial area, in an alley of a plaza behind a Chinese buffet, a liquor store, and a check cashing business.

Rage has posed:
Reaching out to tap the coordinates, Andrea continues to speak. "Don't worry about what you did, okay? Just stay safe. Are you in a spot where you will be okay? Do you remember how many there was?" She continues to remain calm as she speaks to him in a soft voice. "I have my bodyguard with me and he's a marine, also he's carrying. We got your back." The SUV rumbles on a bit quicker now through the streets.

Cronenberg has posed:
Doogie Decker says, "Try not to move." From the way the distant way the his voice sounded he wasn't holding the phone to his ear and was likely not speaking to you. "There w-was to of them. I don't think I hurt them. Oh geez. I pushed them around until they left. But I think there's more now. I keep hearing cars go past, at least two of them. I think they're trying to find us."

Rage has posed:
"We're about five minutes away, Doogie. Just stay calm okay. You let me know if they get closer. I'll come out hot, you understand?" Andrea says to him as she peels out of her shirt while sitting in the armored car, pulling on her black and gold top, then wiggles out of her jeans to pull on the bottoms next. She secures her combat boots, tightening up the laces. "Where is the other kid bleeding from, his head or somewhere else?"

Cronenberg has posed:
Doogie Decker seems to take a few seconds to consider your question. "I-I don't know. I mean it's hard to tell. Geez, it's hard to explain." The sound of grit crunching under his foot and a breath that seizes up in his throat would make one believe that he's been discovered. "False alarm, just an alley cat."

Rage has posed:
"Two minutes away." Andrea assures him. "I need you to focus and tell me where he's bleeding at. James is trained in basic first aid. Is this kid gonna die?" She asks him. James gives a one-two of the horn. Beep Beep! "Can you hear us? We should be close. That's us honking."

Cronenberg has posed:
Doogie Decker starts to sound a little more worked up again. "That's what I'm saying, It's hard to tell. It makes my eyes hurt when I look too long. But they beat 'em up real bad. I don't know how long they were before I showed up." The sound of the honking comes over his end of the phone. "Y-yeah I can hear you. I just hope they don't hear you though."

Rage has posed:
"Let them hear me." Is a rumble in Andrea's throat as the car comes to a squealing halt at one side of the alley. From out of the vehicle comes the popstar, followed by her bodyguard who is wearing a suit with mirrored shades and a hand over his revolver. She starts striding down the alley, giving a glance about "Doogie?" She calls out. "I'm here."

Cronenberg has posed:
Doogie Decker is squatting beside a dumpster. When he hears someone approaching he turns around in a flash. His form quickly flows like rippling clay under the hands of a sculptor working at an incredible pace. His right arm is coated with monstrous muscle and plates of gray armor over inky black skin that look not unlike a crab shell in texture. The hand has been replaced with five writhing tentacles that hand down to just below his knee. His left arm looks much like his right, but without the tentacles. Instead the armor there flares out almost half a foot on each side, producing something of a biological shield. Over his face he is wearing an expensive looking replica Spider-Man mask. :

"S-Stay back! I-I'll beat you up!" he shouts, but when he sees that it's you, he lets the changes fade back to almost normal. His body continues to ripple, and change in odd places as he's very stressed out. He taps the button on his imager to put the holographic disguise around that makes him look like his normal self. "Oh geez, I'm sorry. I'm glad you're here." he says and pulls off the Spider-Man mask. With the way his nose looks crooked under the mask, and the twin trails of blood underneath it, he definitely has a broken nose. On his Superman t-shirt there are glowing stains that looks like he dumped a gallon of glowstick fluid on his body.

Rage has posed:
"Woooow... okay... you definitely have the graduating classes most crazy power." Andrea says as she pauses at the sight of the boy in his spiderman mask. James takes the point, walking past them with his revolver pulled as he squints one eye down the mouth of the alley, taking up guard.

"Hey, where's the kid at?" She asks as she makes her way to her classmate, rolling her shoulders a bit to loosen them up as she heads for the dumpster. She takes her phone out, placing another message of alert back to the mansion.

Cronenberg has posed:
Doogie Decker looks around briefly as the sound of an engine peeling past a few roads over catches his ear. "O-over here," he says and walks over to a form laying flat beside the dumpster. The individual is dressed like a baglady, with layers and layers of frayed and dirty clothing. Doogie has placed a spare shirt over the face of the mutant. When he pulls it off there is a very peculiar sight. The person glows, or rather shines with a light that hurts too much to look at directly. But this light falters, and flickers. When the light is at its most dim, more features can be seen. The individual is thin enough to look like a concentration camp victim. They are completely hairless. The skin of the individual is translucent like frosted glass, so that bone and muscle can be faintly seen beneath. They have no eyes or eye sockets, but the skin over where the eyes should be does indent slightly there. There is no nose nor nostrils, and just a faint slit of where the mouth should be. Beside them there is a good puddle of glowing blood. From the drops that travel down the alley, it can be seen that Doogie carried the individual. When the militia members who are looking for them get the bright idea to follow this luminous trail, it will be an easy matter to find the group.

Rage has posed:
Andrea taps along her phone for a few moments. "Cannonball may be on his way. I sent him the coordinates." She says as she tucks the phone into her pocket. Lowering herself down, she inspects the body on the ground. "Okay.. they're hurt bad. We need to get 'em to Josh." She says as she looks over at James. One he is done checking the choke point, he heads back over and leans down, looking to slide his arms under the body and heft it up. "We're going back to the mansion. Get in the car." She says to Doogie, giving a few sniffs of the air.

Cronenberg has posed:
Doogie Decker nods and replies, "O-okay." He sniffs and tries to wipe his nose with his forearm. He doesn't realize that his nose is broken, and doing so causes a brilliant spike of pain to pierce his face. "GAH! OW! What!?" he says and holds his face. He tries to give Andrea a weak smile and he shuffles his way over to the car with his face held between his hands. From down the alley there is the sound of shouting from a few blocks away.

Rage has posed:
As she hears the shouts, Andrea continues to back up towards the car, holding her fists up. "Faster, Doogie. Take shotgun." She says as she calls over to him. By now, James is placing the wounded in the back, strapping them in carefully as he tries to keep them comfortable. She uncurls her fists, spreading her fingers out some as if they were claws, giving a low rumble in her throat. She keeps backing up, not climbing into the car until she is sure Doogie is in and safe.

Cronenberg has posed:
Doogie Decker jumps into the car and slams the door shut behind him. There is a sound of a loud crack on the side of the vehicle. Five figures are running toward the vehicle with apparent ill intention. The frontmost individual is holding a .38 in front of him, and is taking potshots at the car. Though shooting with one hand and while sprinting means that the shots are poorly aimed. Doogie screams in fright at the sound. He puts his hand over the back of his neck and leans forward. Plates of interconnecting armor grow over his head, arms, and upper back and give him the appearance of something like a pill bug.

Rage has posed:
The black SUV is bulletproof and the bullets pounce off with loud pings. As Andrea stands between the men and the vehicle, she lets out a loud rumble in her throat. Popping over the roof of the car is James, pulling his revolver and firing off multiple, trained shots in return with tight groupings. The bodyguard taps his radio next to his ear. << Phoenix is under fire. Two eggs. One cracked. Over. >>

Sliding into the car, Andrea slams the door shut with a heavy thump as James drops back down into the driver's seat, puts the car into gear and peels out with a smoke of wheels.
