Cast of Characters: Cyclops, Isotope

Cyclops has posed:
Scott is finally out of his hospital bed, and walking around with out much of an issue though he does have a cane, solid black painted wood and a basic curved pistol grip handle that he can use his palm to lean against. His legs are fine, but the pain from the stab wound makes things complicated sometimes.

Scott has requested that Brian join him, and with some one on one time, Scott has taken the young mutant down into the basement, the only one Brian would know about, and show him an old curved room, long cylinder with a single mannequin set up at the end with a large red x on the torso and a smaller one across the face. "Okay, Brian, this might be the only time you get to, so I want you to show me what you can do. Don't hold back and give that body down there, everything you got. I'd like to know what we're working with. Makes it easier to help you going forword."

Isotope has posed:
Brian had been a bit reserved as Scott asked him to join him. When you were just dipping your toe into a new world, things could be a little stressful, and Brian's coping mechanism was to be as quiet and invisible as possible.

"Okay, but I haven't really done this a lot." He comments, starting to stare at the dummy down-range. His eyes start to glow radium green and produce vapor from his eyes. He holds his hands out, palms opened wide, and a surge of green energy blasts out with an almost electrical arc sound. The beam is about a foot and a half wide, and has some waviness to it, illuminating the range on all sides.

The dummy is very well destroyed, but Brian keeps blasting for as long as he can, stopping after about thirty seconds. His eyes still vapor and glow, and his sleeves torn mostly, he takes deep breaths to catch up.

Cyclops has posed:
Scott lift his one good hand to pat on Brian's back and then asks, as one of the legs falls over and smoulders still. "Was that everything you can give?" Scott asks, looking closer towards the end of the range, at the black smoking hole at the end, and the bits left over of the standing target.

Isotope has posed:
Brian takes another deep breath, looking to the teacher in front of him. "I don't know really. But I can try something else." He mentions, having noted his sleeves now torn to shreds. "I suppose that I can use something else too." He says, taking off his shirt. "What if it isn't just my hands, what if I can use my body too?" He puffs out his chest, and soon shoots off a small beam from that area, once he realizes the concentration worked, he brought his arms in as well, giving off a large wave of energy, blasting a greater area of the range.

Brian was straining, making himself give that much, but with a yell, the energy stops surging from his body to forming around himself, like a sleeve of glowing green. "Wh-at?" He says, not used to this at all.

Cyclops has posed:
Scott takes a step back, the can is carefully used as he doesn't want to fall over and yet the beam from the kids chest was surprising and yet Scott recovers quickly. Then the energy coils back in on Brian and becomes a barrier. Scott blinks at this before he stoops over, and picks up a piece of rubble that hadn't been cleaned up yet. "Hey kid." Scott says, before tossing it at Brian's arm, curious.

Isotope has posed:
The piece of rubble bounces off the green energy, sending it back faster than it was tossed. "S-Sorry!" He says, not knowing what to do, then the energy stops covering him, leaving Brian looking a little pale. "I, don't know how that happened."

Cyclops has posed:
Scott has to dodge out of the way of the return shot and he frowns, "That's ... interesting Brian." Scott says, looking back at the end of the hall. "Don't aplogize." Scott says, slightly jealous of the kid's ability and then he frowns. "We'll get you a new shirt. And hopefully we can get something a bit more durable." The x-leader says as he looks back from the smouldering pile to the newest mutant in the school. "Tell me, what are you hoping to get out of this school?"

Isotope has posed:
The black-haired teen looks to Cyclops. "I-I don't really know. I mean, there's more to this place than what you all let on. With the Erika thing, it became clearer."

Brian had given a shrug. "I guess I would like to see us able to live without being treated like weapons, or terrorists. These Sentinels...its a bunch of crap."

Cyclops has posed:
"It is a bunch of crap, but how do you think we should go about it?" Scott asks, as he marches down to the end of the range and from the side he pulls out another fullsized puppet and sets it in the middle once again. After he hobbles back to the back of the bunker, Scott gives Brian a nod and urges, "Go once again, our mutations are a muscle that need to be stretched and worked out as well."

Isotope has posed:
Brian takes a moment to think about it. "I think there is a time to fight, and a time to talk. When they start attacking innocent people, they need to be fought." He had balled up his fist, and a small shot of energy hit the ground. Brian was surprised, not even trying that time. "Sorry." It was just a reflexive response.

Brian holds out a finger to the new dummy, and the small beam emerges, knocking the head off the dummy. "Oh god." He says, a little horrified. The forcefield comes back, enveloping Brian's outstretched arm only.

Cyclops has posed:
"Interesting. But do try to focus and remember what I told you that first night. Breath. Your breath is your core." Or that's what Betsy kept telling him in meditaitons. "Seems your forcefield is mobile... maybe even reflexive." Scott notes aloud, curious about this young man's powers and how they might really work.

Isotope has posed:
Brian keeps breathing, and the forcefield retracts. "Okay." He says, keeping an even keel on his breathing.

The teen rubs his hands together, getting a little nervous at this point.

Cyclops has posed:
"You're doing fine Brian. This is just an experiment. We want to know what you can do as much as you can I'm sure." Scott says with a halfcocked smirk towards the young man. "It's okay to be worried though. You've been through a hell of a lot recently.

Isotope has posed:
"I understand. I just have t" His hands blast another beam towards the range, clearly he can't control that yet.

"Fu-" He stops himself, looking back up to Scott. "I-I didn't mean to that time."

Cyclops has posed:
"You're welcome down here as much as you'd like, but I do have to go over basic range safety with you, and a few things like that." Scott begins and smirks, enjoying this part of the training, though he wouldn't say that, people like to get better, but Scott loves a good foundation. He will help Brian as long as he needs it tonight, it's just them, plus Scott feels some sort of connection in that they're both energy projectionists.
