Synopsis: Grant Ward and Morrigan MacIntyre are having a day off.
Cast of Characters: Morrigan MacIntyre, Grant Ward

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
It's late afternoon in New York and some people have decided to call off work today. One of those people was Doctor Morrigan MacIntyre. The redhead was basically wandering post being released from the hospital. She'd gotten some of her color back, but she still has just a bit more healing to do. She's currently hanging around the planetarium part of the museum, a to go mug of coffee in her hands and just reading things quietly.

Grant Ward has posed:
He had not been to th emuseum for quite sometime. In fact, he could not even remember the last time he had. Having been on assignment in Japan for much long than he anticipated more or less took away and down time for quite a while. However he was back and a trip out and about in the city had found him in the museum. There was no real reason.

Dressed in a pair of jeans and a faded leather jacket, the SHIELD agent has also found himself in the planetarium part of the museum. "Amazing how one million Earths could fit inside the sun." He could quite possibly be talking to himself, but she is certainly in earshot.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan's violet gaze studies one of the installations in the museum, not too far from Grant. There's a bit of a smile that curves her lips up. Probably something she read. Then she looks to Grant and there's a smile to him, "The universe continues to impress daily, that is for sure." she comments to him. "It's even more amazing how many universes we don't even know about." she points out.

Grant Ward has posed:
Ward turns his head to meet the gaze of the woman, not yet moving from his spot however. Well, she started the conversation, and the usually quiet and keep-to-himself agent decides there is no harm in enagaing in conversation. Afterall, it is the nice thing to do to a woman...right? "Very true. Just when I think I have seen everything, I am proved wrong. Not that I am often wrong. I am usually pretty correct."

There is a casual shrug as he now begins to make his way over to where she is standing. "The unknown bothers me. You can't plan for the unknown." He extends his hand and nods once. "Grant Ward. You may have heard the name." Aloof? Just a bit.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a smile to that, "Given we have aliens and everything else on this planet there's not much that surprises me anymore. Or well, it's usually humans that surprise me." she chuckles to that. "I've gotten to see a man with a metal arm blown up, a green lantern help them and a vigilante gun people down in Harlem. So maybe it's the norm in the world." she shakes her head.

Then she reaches out to shake his hand, "It's nice to meet you, Grant. I'm Doctor Morrigan MacIntyre. And do you work for SHIELD? I've met a few of those guys the last few months." she grins to that.

Grant Ward has posed:
"The more I see the less qualified I feel to handle it." He lets the handshake linger a moment before slowly releasing it. "A pleasure to meet you Dr. MacIntyre." There is a pause before answering her inquiry. "Agent Grant Ward. /The/ Grant Ward." He seems somewhat hurt that his name did not trigger more a response. He actually turns his head to get a profile shot for her. "This may have what you have seen on the news sometime." He truly is reaching.

"So are you a Doctor of Astronomy?" I mean it would make sense if she was, at least to him. However, the question is quickly dismissed as he pounces on the part of her words that truly has him thinking. "You have met a few of those guys in the past months?"

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a look to him and there's a shake of her head, "I think some people are more qualified than they give themselves credit for." she admits to that. Then when he turns, she looks at his profile and she gives a chuckle, "Oh...THAT Grant Ward." she states in a sober tone. "I'm just joking I know the name, but haven't seen the face." she admits.

Then she turns to look at him while she talks, "I'm a Doctor of Pathology and Hematology." she tells him. Then she nods, "I have met a few of them in the last few months. I think my favorite of the people has been Frank Castle." she muses. "So what are you doing in a museum? Day off?" she asks him.

Grant Ward has posed:
"A doctor of Hematology and Pathology? Interesting. I can say with the utmost certainty of 97% that I have not ever met a Dr. of Pathology. Well aside from Simmons. She is a Doctor of...well everything. Well not everything, but she...anyhow." His hands go to the pockets of the leather jacket as he looks to one of the displays and then back to the red haired doctor.

"What brings me to the museum on my day off? Well, it usually is here or the library. Quiet and usually filled with people of moderate intelligence. Not that you are moderatly intelligent." He glances at another display spotting a man trying to get a space helmet costume display off his head and failing. "Okay. Except that guy." He offers the slightest of smiles. "I don't really have a day off, more like moments of time in which I am not expected to be somewhere. And you? Is there no blood drive going on today?"

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
"Is SHIELD looking to employ a Pathologist?" Morrigan asks him with a chuckle. She might be serious. "We're rare creatures. Like unicorns." she muses to that. Then she listens to where he goes on his days off and there's a smile as she looks to the space costume, "No aspirations to go to space, Agent Ward?" she asks him.

Then she chuckles softly, "I work at Mount Sinai and there's no world ending situations at the moment. And I'm taking it a bit easy after being in the hospital." she admits. "It's nice to do something out of the norm every once in awhile, don't you think?" she looks to him curiously.

Grant Ward has posed:
"I graduated from human resources. I can check. Let me get back to you on that." He cannot hide the smirk this time. "I have never seen a unicorn. Yet, I have now seen a pathologist. I can cross that off my list. You've made my day." A side glance finds the man still struggling, it truly may be stuck on his large melon.

"You were in the hospital? I mean aside from working? Like you were injured?" As a few kids come running thrugh, he leans in to gently move her to the side to avoid a collision. "I long for normalcy. Yet, what is normal? That is the real question." The look on his face truly shows he even confused himself slightly.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan laughs warmly at that, "Thank you for checking for me." she tells him with a smile. "Well, Pathologists don't tend to tell people what they do. We get people that have their eyes glaze over when we start talking about work." she admits as she looks to him. She's moved easily when he guides her out of the way and there's a bit of a chuckle, "Kids..." she muses. "Thank you." she adds.

Then she rolls her shoulders gently, "Yeah, I was injured. Kind of a family matter that's weird." she tells him. "Normal would be wonderful. Any bit of normalcy really." she states. "And these days? Not be invaded by aliens might be normal." she chuckles.

Grant Ward has posed:
Grant Ward says, "It's kind of what I do, keep people safe. Nothing more viscious in this world than an ankle biter. They come out of nowhere." He studies her a moment, narrowing his eyes. "I bet it is most interesting. I mean who wouldn't want to hear about what diseases are festering in the city. I mean sounds like an over a cup of coffee conversation to me."

Security has no come in to help spaceman remove the helmet. "My definition of normal changes daily. I could do without aliens...or people really." Another casual shrug."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a smile to that, "Ankle biters, they are precious at that age." she admits. "I'll eventually find someone to settle down with and maybe have one or two." she muses. Then there's a quirk of her eyebrow to him, "I mean, if people want to talk about it over coffee I'm good with that." she smiles. Then there's a curious look, "Don't like people or just...too much of them to deal with?" she asks.

Grant Ward has posed:
Did she just agree to coffee and a conversation? He thinks she did, but despite how cool he thinks he is, Grant Ward has been a little nieve at times when it comes to the opposite sex. "I can think of nothing more exciting to me than to discuss festering diseases while sipping caffeine. My idea of a good time. No seriously. I am sure that can be arranged. Mount Sinai is it? All I need." A hand goes to run along th eback of his neck. "It is not that I don't like people..well maybe. It's more I don't like /stupid/ people. I don't get out a lot." Those last words seem to be hastil added with a smirk.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan did in a roundabout way. "Oh, so that was you saying you'd like to have coffee and talk about diseases." she chuckles to that. "I'm a big fan of coffee. So that would work out." she tells him. "And yes, Mount Sinai is where I work. I have my own little office and everything." she gives a smile to that. "Stupid people can be taxing sometimes. So I don't fault you for that." she admits.

Grant Ward has posed:
Grant Ward says, "I like coffee. I like conversation. Well, intelligent conversation and you seem to be able to hold one. So yeah. I think I could make time for that. We should try to make that happen. Not that I can talk much abhout work..that is unless you have clearance level 6?" He looks to her almost questioning if she did. "DOn't get me wrong, I mean they are not useless...I just..." He trails off. "So do you have a way for us to arrange this or should I just gain access to your work computer and figure out your hours?""

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a bit of a nod to that, "There's times where being able to not talk about work is sometimes a small blessing. So it's not like I'm going to be upset if you don't speak on things." she tells him. "I don't have clearance level 6...I don't know what that is either." she looks to him as she states that. Then she reaches into her pocket and pulls out a card case and hands him one, "Here is my card, feel free to call anytime." she tells him. "I keep weird hours. So, if it's middle of the night don't worry on it." she adds. Then her phone goes off, "It's the hospital, they probably heard I was having a quiet moment, I should take this." she murmurs to him as she steps away, "It was good to meet you, Mister Ward." she smiles brightly at that.
