Date of Scene: 15 March 2019
Location: Faryar
Synopsis: Sindr and Janz bring Thea and Teya back to their father and collect payment.
Cast of Characters: Mon-El, Skygirl, Sindr

Mon-El has posed:
So the space princesses have been rescued from Arcadia, and all seems to be well. Thea and Teya are a bit shaken up, but are otherwise all right. Plus, there are a bunch of other freed slaves who are very grateful to the heroes who saved them.

If anyone needs transport back to Daratar, the Legion has offered to provide it if so desired, and is also willing to help the others get back home if needed.

Skygirl has posed:
Janz tried to locate her stunner, which had been stolen by the Dire Wraiths. It is a dood weapon really, it can stun most anyone, given enough power, but can not kill. Her race are peaceful, even the criminals rarely use anything more lethal. Rather ironic considerting how dangerous they can be on worlds without a red sun. If she finds it, she will fetch it as quick as possible. If not she will stay with the Princesses...they probably are likely to feel better with someone they have met that also went through much the same experiences and who happens to be a woman.

Sindr has posed:
The one that's been calling herself Ember naturally took the Legion up on this offer of transport, since she doesn't seem to have any sort of space travel of her own - by all accounts, she hitched a ride to Omega to begin with!

Of course, she's been talking to the various freed slaves to see if any are interested in going back to Omega to snatch that little planetoid from its current owners - the Dire Wraiths. She'd even spend some time - depending on how long it takes them to travel to Daratar - getting to know Janz.

Mon-El has posed:
It won't be long before the freed slaves and the rest of crew are invited aboard the Legion Cruiser to head back toward Daratar. Janz will be able to retrieve her stun weapon, and fortunately, it doesn't seem to be too much the worse for wear.

Ember's conversations with the slaves are looking pretty hopeful--many of them are very disgusted with the Dire Wraiths' twisted ways, and want to see Omega wrested from their control and the corrupt race purged from it.

As soon as they board, Lar comes to greet them. "Thanks for your help, Ember." he says to Sindr, then glances toward Janz. "A friend of yours?" he asks, since she hadn't been with Star-Lord and the original party of Guardians.

Skygirl has posed:
Janz responds, "Kind of a refugee. Probably even more lost than ever unless I can recover my life pod. Well, unless you happen to know where to find Kormo anyway."
Going home is still foremost on her mind, though sshe worries what her welcome will be if she gets there...and exploring space IS admittedly interesting.

Sindr has posed:
"I would've put her as potential competition, given the circumstances up until now..." 'Ember' replies, and looks over at Janz. She tells the Kormo woman: "If you're looking for a place to fit in, I'm sure I can find a place for you; you fight well enough, and I'm sure your skill will only improve."

Ember has never really posed as anything but a warrior, but given her plans she may be a bit more than a warrior - she might well be a conqueror. She looks back to Lar, "You as well, Daxa... Er, Lar. Once we deliver the princesses, you can always come back with me for a bit of vengeance if you're interested."

Mon-El has posed:
"Kormo, huh?" Lar repeats the name, tilting his head to the side slightly. "What sector is that in? We could try to locate it, if you really want to go back home. I mean, we -are- trying to get the rest of these former slaves home anyway, so we might as well throw you in the mix, too." he smiles.

He arches a brow at Ember. "Vengeance? What exactly do you have planned?" He is partically curious, and partially worried he might not agree with it.

Skygirl has posed:
Janz admits, "We really did not have much outside contact...enough to learn Interlac but that was about it, we were only just starting to explore and did not have maps shared with others...so could only tell you the sector in Kormoan Nomenclature, which would probably not help you. I was given a star map, but had not managed to find Kormo on it yet...someone had erased all the navigation logs on my pod..." Judging by the writing on the pod...now removed, whoever did it had intended her to never make it back.

She says to Ember, "My people are prety peaceful really, but some things the univrse might be better without."

Sindr has posed:
Sindr smiles. "A change of leadership, of course; return to this place with force enough to conquer, put myself or a trusted vassal in charge. It seems a useful enough place to have under my rule, and I'd certainly be better in charge of than the current lords."

To Janz, she suggests, "There are indeed; existence is oft violence, and mine are a warrior people. My father was chief among us, until he passed and left me in charge. Frequent was his railing about the injustice done him, but... Well, that was his war. He's gone, and it's up to me to make things better than they were before." How conquering a hive of scum and villainy helps that, who knows!

Sindr has posed:
"Ahem," Sindr concludes, "Anyway, like I was saying, if you're lost and without a home I can find a place for you. It's far from peaceful, but you'd have company, protection, purpose... And meanwhile we can look for your home."

Mon-El has posed:
Lar nods at Janz's explanation. "Hm, I see. Well, maybe it's best you didn't go back then, if you aren't...welcome. Do you have any idea why they banished you?" he inquires.

He considers Sindr's proposition. Given the situation with the Dire Wraiths, and the hive of scum and villainy going on there, he won't disagree with the fact that a change in leadership -is- needed. But... "Yeah? Well, if you were successful, what would you do with the place?"

By now, the forested planet of Daratar is looming into view on the HUD. It's almost time to collect the reward!

Skygirl has posed:
Janz sighs are replies to Lar, "That I do. One of our explorers came back with a virus, a cure was eventually found but a few of us were unable to take the cure, being allergic to the ingrediants. It was theorized that we could be cured by exposure to light of the right set of frequencies...those of a Yellow or Blue or Blue-white star. I am not sure if that would have worked, but I ran int a healer who cured me. We were exiled to keep from bringing the plague back." She looks to Sindr, "Rarely does one inexperienced in governance craft a working society."

Sindr has posed:
"I don't think I would change too much; it seems an excellent place for gathering information and useful goods. The current Lords even kept things reasonably peaceful until we showed up, I think. Of course, what happened to Thea, Teya, and yourself was horrible and severely lacking in honor." Sindr replies to Lar easily enough. "Anyone with half a brain knows you don't treat hostages like that, and using mind control to force /you/ to fight? Dreadful!"

She nods succinctly at Janz, "Indeed."

Mon-El has posed:
"I see." Lar replies to Janz. "Blue and yellow stars, you say, well that sounds a lot like me." The Daxamite chuckles. "Does it make you ridiculously strong, too? Like punching people into orbit levels of strong? Thermal vision? Supersonic flight?"

He considers Sindr's words. She seems honest. "Heh, if that's the case, then whatever you have planned is probably better than those wraith things being in control. Who knows who they've infected by now."

The vessel enters the planet's atmosphere and begins its descent, pinging the Emperor's comms to inform him that his daughters have returned safely. As the ship nears the palace, a docking bay opens, ready to engage maglock mechanisms.

Skygirl has posed:
Janz responds, "Well, probably not to orbit, but can smash stone or steel with a single blow. I can reach supersonic, though it is a bit of an effort. I might be able to see heat if that is what you mean by thermal vision...I mean I can see through walls so it is possible..." Heat vision is a power her species lacks, so she has not even considere it."

Sindr has posed:
Well that's something to file away for later - Janz, Lar, these Kryptonians she's heard about. All powerful races in the right environment - SO VERY INTERESTING! She doesn't say anything more to Janz at this point about finding a place for her - the offer is there, so the ball's in her court.

She nods at Lar, replying, "It shouldn't be too difficult to manage, and I would of course be kindly disposed to anyone who helps me. Might be useful if you ever found yourself in need of certain things..." dangling that out there as if it weren't already obvious. "It looks like we're about to deal with the Royals, so we can discuss all that later."

She sees the forested environment, and decides she'll just keep looking the way she is for now.

Mon-El has posed:
"Huh." Lar says pensively. "Oh, yeah I can see through walls too, but I mean thermal vision as in shooting lasers out of your eyes." He chuckles a little bit, his eyes glowing red for a moment in a sort of demonstration, though it fades away quickly.

"Well I certainly hope so, Ember. I don't know too much about these Dire Wraiths, but they have magical abilities so I'll have to be careful." he admits.

The ship is jarred slightly as it locks into place on the docking platform, and soon the doors are opening as Emperor Corlis hurries toward them, his daughters immediately rushing out and embracing him, happy to be home.

Once they've finished their happy reunion, Corlis smiles toward Ember and Janz. "I can't thank you enough for your assistance." He nods toward a couple of the guards, who bring out a case full of credits, rare minerals, and other valuable items. "You are free to divide the payment among yourselves however you see fit."

Skygirl has posed:
Ironicly enough, most of what is offered is not particularly valuable onKormo, but might be handy to help get there. Janz admits, "I know nothing of galactic financial matters, I will have to trust the two of you t give fair value."

Sindr has posed:
"Of course." Ember says agreeably, simply accepting whatever is pushed at them for payment. What she's after is potentially far more valuable anyway. She looks at Lar, wondering, "Are you intending to stay long?"

Mon-El has posed:
Corlis smiles at the mention of staying. "Well if you would like to stay, we will be celebrating the return of my daughters soon. I have decided it's time our people opened up more to the galactic community, so we may as well do it with fanfare and great generosity." he says, still beaming. "You and all your allies are of course invited, and will be treated with honor."

"Sounds like a party." Lar remarks, glancing at the others. "I might turn up, if I can. You two?"

Sindr has posed:
"I'll be there, certainly." Ember replies nodding at Lar. She looks over at Corlis, adding, "Could be opportunities to make new allies."

Mon-El has posed:
"True, the more the merrier, right?" Lar replies, nodding. "I...really hope you can make Omega a better place." he says sincerely.

Corlis and his family return to their homes for the time being, while Sindr's new allies gather around her, looking to her for leadership on where they should go to prepare for the invasion! At the moment, it seems there's about a dozen of them.
