Scott Summers' Day Off
Date of Scene: 17 March 2019
Location: A beach in Genosha
Synopsis: Scott was stressing, so Blink took him surfing. Lorna joined and they showed him some of the island's finer points.
Cast of Characters: Blink, Cyclops, Polaris

Blink has posed:
The knock at the door of Scott Summers was made by an unfamiliar face. The barest of introductions for now. Clarice, also known as Blink. The one working security for Lorna that the Princess had asked for permission to be at the school.

Blink said she heard that the school was stressful. And she wanted to talk to him, but would rather help the stress than add to it. A quick explanation of her mutant power. Portals that allowed one to stop from one place to another in the blink of an eye. And an offer to take him to a warm Genoshan tropical beach for a few hours of R&R, able to step right back to his room whenever he wanted.

And so after changing into appropriate clothing, a portal rimmed with purple energy is opened in his room, the other side letting out onto an open, abandoned stretch of beach. Blink steps through, wearing a pair of shorts and with a shirt hanging open, revealing the bathing suit underneath. It's a gorgeous day on the other side of the portal, that is tall enough Scott doesn't even have to duck to go through. Blink lays some towels down on the sand and says, "Give me a minute and I can get us some surfboards if you'd like?"

Cyclops has posed:
Scott showed back up next to Clarice wearing a pair of red lensed sunglasses, and a pair of bright red and blue swim trunks that have a tropical florarl pattern in red on a blue background, and he wears sandles and a towel around his neck. "You have all the time you need." Scott replies as he steps out onto the warm sun kissed sand and he almost melts when he feels that heat. "Oh, this is heavenly." He reports as he steps out of New York and fully into the southern hemisphere.

Blink has posed:
Blink smiles as Scott seems to appreciate the destination. "As do you," she says with a soft smile at the mention of having all the time needed. "Nice thing about not having to use airlines. We can go back and forth whenever you like," she tells him.

She leaves the portal to his room open, and then opens up another one. If Scott is paying attention, she opened it up in the air, looking down at a shack that rents surfboards. Once she can safely open a portal without anyone in the way, she opens it to the side of the place and steps through. "Be right back!" she calls.

She only takes about ten minutes to rent a pair of surfboards, bringing them back through the portal before closing it. She checks to see what Scott has got up to in the meantime.

Cyclops has posed:
Scott has found a place to lay his towel down on the sand and kicked off his sandles. He's sitting down on the towel and carefully applying sunscreen to his arms, back and legs.

    Where did he get sunscreen?

Scott finishes up and leaves the bottle under one of the corners of his towel and stands back up, feet smouldering on the hot sand for a moment as he's making his way to the water when Blink reappears. "I used to surf a long time ago Clarice." He explains and actually smiles.

Blink has posed:
Sea gulls drift on the breeze above the shoreline, cawing out as if to make sure the humans realize that should they feel like feeding any wildlife, they are available to fulfill those desires. The soft ocean breeze is cooperating with the birds, blowing just hard enough to let them drift without flapping much.

Warren would love it out here.

Blink pulls off the shirt and the slips off sandals and her shorts, wearing a one piece bathing suit beneath it. Her skin has a very light tan to it, but she looks like she could stand to get some more sun as well. "I'm going to be hopeless at it," she admits with a soft grin. "But I've had fun each time I've tried."

Seeing the sunscreen, Blink takes a few minutes to apply some herself. "Grab a board whenever you want," she tells him. The sunscreen applied, Clarice hops up and the runs down to the water. Across the stretch of wet sand where the waves roll in, and knee deep until she can dive forward into the water in a streak of purple hair and black bathing suit.

Cyclops has posed:
Scott stops and comes back to Clarice to get his board while she's lathering herself up and protecting her fair skin from being too damaged. He isn't totally pale, but it's been several months since he's been in a swimsuit, being winter and all.

Scott takes the large yellow board with the three red fins and slides it on the top of the waves and jumps on top to ride it out several feet before falling off and splashing in. After a few moments he breaches the surface and gasps for air with a huge smile on his face, the rubber grips on his sunglasses holding them to his face even in the waves. There is also a strap keeping the shades from falling off his face, a precaution.

Blink has posed:
Blink comes up from the water in time to watch Scott smoothly glide out onto the water on the board. When he comes back up to the surface she claps a few times and smiles his way. Further out the waves are actually big enough for a little bit of surfing. It's not Hawaii-sized surf today, but enough one could just about get underneath a curl pipe of water if they catch a good wave.

Clarice leans her head back to wet her hair and then straightens so the purple locks lay flat against her head. "When's the last time you were on a beach like this?" she asks Scott before turning to head back to the sand to get the other surf board.

Cyclops has posed:
Scott fake bows as well as he can but really just gets his face wet and spits out the salt water with a cough. "Oh, it's been, three or four years since I've been to a beach like this. I really owe you Clarice." The x-man says as he wraps his arms over his board and floats for a few moments and then a question hits him. "Does using your protals tire you at all?"

Blink has posed:
"Not very much. I could do dozens and dozens of short ones. Going further takes a little more. But I feel fine after the one between New York and here," Clarice explains, raising her voice to be heard from the beach as she picks up the board.

She opens a portal just before her above the sand, and one appears in the air a couple of feet above the ocean a little to the side of Scott. Blink steps through, falling out of the one nearby to join him in the water. The portals close as she climbs onto the surfboard, wiping water from her face. "My first... no, second night here? I met Rogue and Bobby and brought them when I was explaining my power. They seemed to enjoy it a lot," she says.

She points out towards the water. "Rogue found an old World War II airplane. German one, over there under the water," she says, pointing in the direction Rogue left it.

Cyclops has posed:
"Of course she did. She probably put it there so she could show off later." Scott says with a roll of his eyes though he's smirking at the girl as she plops into the water. "Do they have to be on the same axis or can you have a portal open somewhere up and down and drop you out left and right?" Scott asks as he keeps his arms drapped across his board and floats simply, learning about Clarice as she could save them and become a useful ally. He's always thinking in that manner, thanks Charles.

Blink has posed:
The girl's green irises shine with a smile over towards Scott as he shows an interest in her power. She has a bit of a shy warmth to her as she says, "I can orient them however I want. One can be upright so you walk in, while the other can be lying flat so you'd come out lying horizontal. Or if I'm falling? I could open one that redirects me back into the air until gravity slows me. Then open one at my feet that leads to the ground so I just drop a couple of feet."

She gives a little side to side bob of her head. "I've done it but only twice. Over water. I'm worried if I mess up I could... well, get messed up from the fall," she confesses. Clarice looks over at his glasses. "I heard about you, before. You're kind of well known amongst some of the Brotherhood. They said you have super powerful blasts when you let them out?"

Cyclops has posed:
"They're not butterfly kisses if that's what you mean." Scott reports and blushes as he rubs at the back of his head shyly. "So you're part of the brotherhood? This truce is making things way more awkward than I imagined it would be." Scott says with a frown before he rolls his legs up on the board into a straddling position and he then leans forward to start paddling himself outwards to the waves. Seems brotherhood is one of his trigger words.

Blink has posed:
Blink runs fingers through her hair as she sees Scott's reaction towards the mention. Her expression falls a little a bit. "Yes. I mean... they rescued me from the slave pens. And... and they taught me what it was like for other people. I mean, living how everyone else does," Clarice tells him quietly, looking down. "Lorna has been great. I'd do anything for her. I was so happy when they asked me to help keep her safe," Clarice says.

She turns and watches Scott paddling out for a few moments, before turning to lay on her surfboard and follow him out. It's pretty easy to get out of the waves as they just aren't big enough to be a problem here. A good place for someone learning to surf, like Clarice.

Cyclops has posed:
Scott didn't paddle out to far, he was going to do a few reminder waves, get his water legs again before going out further. "Sorry, I've had... some bad experience with the brotherhood, so forgive me if I don't give you a fair shake. But I am trying, you're pleasant enough and have only been kind." Scott explains poorly before he starts to paddle with a surge, and trying to keep up with it before getting his feet under him and immediately falling off the board with a heavy splash.

Blink has posed:
"Good try. I'm going to do far worse I assure you," she says reassuringly once he's back in a position he can hear her. Blink gives a small nod then at what Scott said. "I can tell there's been a lot of things in people's past. I wish more people seemed to get along with each other," she says quietly, green eyes down on the surfboard as she gives a little shrug.

"I like the school," she says softly. "I wish I'd been able to grow up somewhere like that. It is nicer than I'd expected and... well, if I can help you guys out. I'll do my best," she tells Scott. Clarice gives him a gentle smile and then she tries to catch a wave. She gets on top of it and gets to her feet. She has good balance but not much experience, and ends up running the tip of her board into the wave and flipping over in spectacular fashion. When she emerges from beneath the water though she has a smile on her face.

Cyclops has posed:
Scott was resting on his board again by the time Clarice gets back to the surface and he gives her a few solid kind claps of his hands. "You've surfed more than you're letting on. That or you've some natural talent." The man in the red glasses compliments.

Scott turns and begins to paddle out to the next wave, and moves to sit for a few moments where the next swell should be forming. "Lorna is a wonderful person, you're right about that. None of us can ever fully agree with one another, so there's that."

Blink has posed:
Blink gets a bright smile at the mention of the green one. "She is," Clarice agrees, the mention of the woman restoring her to full on good mood. "Did you grow up at the school? Or did you have a family that you lived with somewhere else first?" she asks curiously.

Clarice leans back on her board, just soaking in the warm sun. The tropical girl is not quite used to the cold weather of New York, and being back here even if for a few hours is a godsend. The salty ocean scent carries on the breeze, so different than the dry New York air this time of year.

Cyclops has posed:
"I have an ... odd history that is a bit too long and sad to get into at the beach." Scott says with an actual wave of his hand to wipe the subject away from mind. "We have a place in the school were you could possibly learn how to work on your powers, or at least practice without being really hurt. If you're interested, we could have Lorna show you to it and even help too." Scott says before he dives in and tries to catch the next wave, going so far as able to stand for about half the length of the shallow swell.

Blink has posed:
There's loud cheering for Scott as he rides the wave so well, up to the point he ends up back in the water. "That was excellent!" Clarice shouts encouragingly once he's back above water. She looks back at the set of waves coming in. Picking out one she starts forward, padding hard to match their speed.

Her board crests the to of the wave and she pops up to her feet on it. She swings the board down and begins cutting across the wave sideways. Just when it looks like Clarice is about to have a good run, that tube of water catches up with her. Hitting her in the shoulders and back of the head, it sends her tumbling before she sinks into the water, her board flipping about in the air, but kept close by the tether about her ankle.

She surface again, blubbing but it's laughter, not drowning. "Thought I had that one!" she says, smacking her hand into the water in exuberant disappointment. She gathers in her board and makes her way back out again. "That would interest me. I was trying to practice outside. I had some tennis balls I was hitting and then practicing redirecting at targets. But I heard I shouldn't use my powers outside, so I stopped soon as Logan told me," she says.

Cyclops has posed:
"Logan's usually on top of things like that. Outside is visible, we don't want anyone finding out about the school and hurting anyone." Scott says but he smirks. "That was a great run, maybe next time you feel that wave starting to get close, you portal ahead on the swell about ten feet, that would be a way to improve yourself if you think you can." Scott recommends, just watching her he's constantly thinking of things like that, it's something he does as a teacher and leader of the X-men. Thinking outside the box has kept him and his teammates alive for this long.

Blink has posed:
Clarice looks over at Scott as they float on the waves, listening to the suggestion. "Thank you, I'll give that a try," she tells him with a smile, as if appreciating getting input on how she can do things better. "I'm always looking for creative ways to use it. I've enjoyed having some opportunity to get out and see the world the last few months," Clarice comments.

She smiles, looking down at her surfboard as her finger doodles on it while she's lost in a memory. "If you'd ever like to watch the sun rise from on top of the Great Pyramid? It's -totally- worth it," Clarice says with a warm laugh. "I haven't always seen my power as a positive. So... like when I saw how happy Rogue and Bobby were to get away from winter for a little bit? It just... made me feel so good to have been able to do that for them," she says, looking down and giving a warm, shy smile.

Cyclops has posed:
"You're a good person Clarice, you're always welcome at the school, you're power is a part of you, it's not the entirety of you. But inherently it's not good or bad, it's just like an arm or an eye. It's part of you but it does not define you." Scott says, knowing how hard it can be as he will never truely control his power. That sucks. But he deals with it every day.

"That sounds incredibly Clarice, but there are other things I'd like to see first..." He says, smirking and taking the chance to look up and -

    - Perfect. The moon is high in the day sky at the moment and he points up at it, as if that's what he wants to see.

Blink has posed:
The twenty-year-old looks touched as Scott shares that opinion of her. "Thank you," she tells him softly as she looks down, smiling. "And, thank you for making me feel welcome. I haven't had many friends outside of Genosha. And... it's really nice, meeting so many people at the school," she says.

Clarice tilts her head back as Scott points up. She doesn't seem to understand for a moment, but then gets a soft grin. "I think I could reach it," she says. "A girl in the gardens was asking me how far I can go. Being able to see it... I think I probably can."

Clarice looks over to him but shrugs then. "But, um, lots of issues to overcome. No air on the other side being an obvious once. So I've never tried. But... I -think- I could at least," she tells him.

Cyclops has posed:
"Oh, you don't have to worry about the air and all that, I've got some tricks up my sleeve." Scott says as he moves his hand to his wrist and acts surprised when he doesn't have a shirt on. "That's just something I've always wanted to do." Scott says, not realizing his own heritage and what it means.

"Now, about that wave, you going to take this one or do I have to wait to watch you snag another?" Scott asks splashing some salt water towards the mutant.

Blink has posed:
Blink looks over her shoulder at the wave. "If you'd seriously like to go?... and can set up the precautions? I need some time to study. Maps of the moon, pictures of where to place it. For my accuracy, it'll help a lot. So if you're serious, let me know and we can pick a spot you want to aim for," she says quickly. "Ok I'm on it!"

She begins paddling then, taking off for the shore. Clarice catchees the wave, popping up to her feet. Her arms wave out to either side for balance. She's still not going fast enough to stay ahead of the curling water of the pipe. This time she makes a portal in front, with another a dozen feet past it to skip her ahead as Scott suggested. She stays on her feet on the board, riding the wave in until the speed dies and she slips backwards off the board into the water. "It worked!" she shouts with a grin, hands in the air to wave to Scott.

Cyclops has posed:
As soon as she said it worked, Scott's hands pop up in success and he smiles greatly! "Awesome Clarice!" Scott says actually laughing and having a good time as he sits on the board, just bobbing in the water, with his legs kicking idly, feeling a belying sense of freedom that he hasn't felt in a long time. "Thank you for this." he whispers.

Blink has posed:
Blink paddles her board back out to him. She could teleport out there of course, but the exertion is part of the fun after all. She floats in the water beside him, sitting up and straddling her board. "I'm glad it's helped. It's a blessing being able to give people a chance to get away so easily," Clarice says with a smile.

"Also available for birthdays and bar mitzvahs," the purple-haired mutant says with a smile. "And there's nothing quite like the ocean and the warm sun to relax. It's funny I could go so many places, but this is kind of the first place I think of when I want to relax. And I live just a few miles away," she says, pointing towards the royal palace.

Polaris has posed:
The surf that rolled along the beaches in Genosha was perfect, particularly for a woman that could control metal and effectively fly. The board beneath her feet didn't matter, it was the iron laced through it that she'd added that allowed the Princess to cheat and defy the laws of physics to her whims. She came zooming along, pushed on magnetic waves more than anything powered by water. The salt water splashed in a halo around her, green hair whipping around as she whooped and came speeding around the corner, breathless and grinning. Her knees bent at an angle, and one hand spread against the water's edge, causing white ocean foam to splash up around her in a fine spray.

The portal had been a gift to the Princess, and she'd taken it, moreover, she'd had her own wardrobe here. And it showed. Freed from the confines of winter, Lorna wore a black bikini with a flimsy wrap of purple and gold around her waist. In her hair jangled gold plated bits of decoration and matching bracelets chimed at her wrists. An added source of metal and balance for the Princess, who sped once around the duo before slowing her sped and coming to a bobbing halt before them, grinning with her hands on her hips.

"Finally, you listened to my recommendation of a beach day!"

Cyclops has posed:
"That's probably why you think of it. There's something about 'home' that makes it easier to let your guard down." Scott says, meaning he's trying to relax and the water and surf are helping greatly, but that palace is something he fears, or at least is made uncomfortable by, but he doesn't say it. And his glasses cover his eyes well enough.

"You have never told me I needed a beach day in my lif- Oh you're talking to Clarice." Scott says with a frown towards Lorna before he sticks his tongue out at her for the briefest of moments.

Blink has posed:
Blink smiles over to Scott at his comment. "That's probably true," she agrees, looking about the area and giving a happy sigh. She looks destressed at least! And the sight of the green-haired vision surfing over only adds to Clarice's happiness.

"Was hoping you might be able to show up," Clarice calls to Lorna, waving her way. The purple-haired mutant has on a black one-piece bathing suit. Clarice glances to Scott and gives a warm smile to him. "Well, if she didn't tell you, then maybe she should have," Clarice teases in a warm tone. She calls to Lorna then, "You missed some expert wave riding. We were -amazing-. Stupendous. Alas, the good waves are all gone now though," Clarice says, as if to make sure Lorna doesn't ask for visual proof of this great surfing. She probably knows Clarice has great balance, but is not the best surfer.

Polaris has posed:
Lorna made up for her lack of ability in actually surfacing with her powers. She always //looked// like she knew what she was doing through clever balancing via the magnetic fields and with her carefully modified board. She arched a green eyebrow upwards in Scott's direction, grinning still. "I totally said that you had to go. I mean, I was inviting Rogue, but you were in the room. That counts. 'You' implies everyone in that case." She tilted her head, glancing toward Clarice and shrugging once.
"I can wait for another round. We have a few hours till it gets dark yet." She seemed utterly unphased with having missed the waves. And why should she? She could //fly//.

Cyclops has posed:
"You're not surfing though." Scott says, in response to Lorna and then lift his hand up to loud whisper to Clarice, "I bet she couldn't /actually/ surf if her life depended on it." Scott says with a large stage wink too. "Oh, come on Lorna, inviting Rogue does not count as inviting everyone, because I'm certain I'm the LAST person anyone would willingly invite. I hear what you all say about me. Remember, I'm dating a telepath now." Not that they've actually gone on any real dates yet, but the princess and the portal don't know that.

Blink has posed:
Blink raises her hand. "Point of fact. You were the third I invited," she says to Scott. "And actually, I didn't so much invite Rogue and Bobby, as I just gave them a demonstration of my mutant power. After which fun and splashing ensued. So you're actually the -first- person I invited." She flashes a green-eyed smile over to him before looking back to Lorna.

"The waves are big enough, just be careful when they start to curl over. Not really big enough to fit under," she says, motioning towards one of the waves rolling into shore. "One knocked me off like that, until Scott suggested I teleport a few feet ahead when it got close. My best ride of the day."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna crossed her arms, still standing tall on her surf board, bracelets jinggling with the movement. "You can't prove anything." She shot back, still grinning in Scott's direction though as he mentioned her invitation extended to Rogue didn't count, she rolled her eyes skyward. "Of course it counts, and you're as welcome on Genosha as anyone Scott. Geeze, stop putting yourself down. You are //not// the last person I'd invite to Genosha." She shook her head once, and settled down carefully on her board, sitting and dangling her feet into the tropical waters beneath her.

"You need to lighten up. Genosha is the place for that. We should go to the theater after, or maybe the amphitheater. I'm sure there's a show or concert going on. There always is. Or we could grab something to eat before that if you want."

Cyclops has posed:
Scott looks to Clarice, "See, the princess is taking over my one day vacation already and we've been out here for about an hour." Scott teases as he starts to paddle, looking to drop into the next swell and gets his feet beneath him, hand going out to kiss the side of the water with the tips of three fingers before the wave breaks into his shoulder and the x-man goes tumbling into the water.

Blink has posed:
Clarice shakes her head and chuckles at the exchanges between the pair. "There are good concerts," she calls to Scott though, affirming Lorna's statement. Clarice looks back to her friend, flashing her a wink before laying down on her board to paddle forward and catch a wave two after Scott.

She pops up atop the wave and drops down into it. Making the turn she skims sideways along the wave. Her balance is never the problem, it's get the surfboard to do what what she wants. Clarice tries to cut up the wave and back down, but instead the surfboard decides it just wants to go up. Board and surfer both shoot up into the air, hanging there for a moment before falling back towards the water. Clarice plugs her nose with her fingers before she hits the water.

Blub!

Polaris has posed:
Lorna clicked her tongue in Scott's direction as she continued to laze about on top of her board, watching as each in turn tried their best to surf and ended up tumbling through. She laughed, chortling as she twisted her hands in the water, playing the motes of magnetic sand that floated up at her teasing touch. A sparkling column of dust that glittered in the afternoon sunlight and reflected back up at her.

After a beat, two, Lorna stood, a slow and stately floating toward where the two had fallen into the water. She waited a beat, before the motes of magnetic sand floated about the pair in the water and used it to push them back up and out of the warm ocean surf and back toward their boards with a helpful twist of her fingers.

"Well if you don't like theater or music, there's a lovely spa on the other side of the island. There's a mutant there that has four arms. Lovely lady, gives the best massages."

Cyclops has posed:
"A concert and a massage sound wonderful." Scott says, but then he looks left and right behind his oakleys and frowns. "What will I tell Jean?" He asks, worried about her being upset that he is doing all of this without her. Their relationship is awfully young for him to be this comfortable.

Blink has posed:
Blink gives Lorna a thumbs up gesture for her help in getting righted. She climbs back on her board and paddles back over to join the other two. Clarice gives a little shrug. "So we're scouting out somewhere that you can take her on a date? Lorna offered suggestions and we went off to see what it was like so you could decide?" she offers as a suggestion, glancing over to Lorna to see what she thinks of that solution.

Polaris has posed:
A blink as Scott didn't disagree with her suggestions outright, but rather.. was honestly wanting to know what he'd tell Jean. It was so far beyond what the green haired Princess thought he'd object to, that she stood there in a momentary silence until Clarice spoke and she nodded. "Yeah, you're scouting out ideas and places. Where better to go than Genosha for a stress free date? It can all be about gathering intel and ... uh... research!" She grinned and flapped a hand toward the island's beach.

"Plus I can get you passes and line cuts here for said date." She winked.

Cyclops has posed:
"You aren't even buying it as you say it." Scott says to Lorna as he is ushered by some metal sand to his board and he eyes Lorna, "You don't have to do everything for me Lorna. I am a grown ass man." He reports. Then with a glance to Clarice, "What do you like to do for fun?" Scott asks the pinked woman.

Blink has posed:
The brilliant sun shines down, as if it were meant just for warming the bodies of the trio so freshly arrived from the cold, wintry Northeast. March keeps trying to move into Spring, but Winter didn't seem to want to give it up yet. Well, who cares when you can float on tropical water?

The ocean is the most beautiful color of turquoise. Only spoiled by a few darker spots underwater that rather than being blemishes, are little underwater sprawls of life. Coral and vegetation and fish moving within, just waiting for them to stick their heads underwater to observe.

And the skies are clear, with only seagulls floating overhead, hoping for a quick meal to be dropped. Though no food where the trio are, though there is some to be had elsewhere in the island. Clarice turns to Scott and says with a laugh at her lack of helpfulness. "Go to concerts. Go to the spa?" she says teasingly.

"Hmmm, seriously... I enjoy walking in the market here. Seeing all of the different mutants. But when I'm out in the world, I like seeing monuments and beautiful things that people have made. I mentioned the pyramids. The ones in South America are beautiful too. The Grand Canyon. I haven't made it to some of the parks in the Northwest US. I am looking forward to going sometime. If you wanted to take her on a date to anywhere like that? I'd be happy to supply transportation."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna shot Scott a look, imperious and utterly incapable of looking as if she'd grown up as anything other than //royal//. "Really? Then Mr-Grown-Ass-Man. Thank me for giving you a hand up." She sniffed and then all at once broke the haughty demeanor with a grin as she plopped back down onto her board and the metal of the iron rich sand floated up into glittering specks around her and settled. Not an ounce of rust apparent, though it had to have existed when the iron was below the water's surface before.

Genosha was iron rich, and was perfect in everyway that Lorna could imagine a tropical island to be.

"Look, Jean is a good friend, you're a good friend. I'm going to show you about so you can take her on the //best// date ever. Okay? No arguments."

Cyclops has posed:
"No arguements." Scott says towards Lorna and then whispers, "Thank you." He says defeatedly as he throws his leg over the board and sits back up on it. "Alright, Concert and spa it is, but I only brought my trunks. Can we go back to New York so I can get some shorts or at least a shirt?" Scott asks, hoping against hope that the girls don't decide to take him shopping.

Blink has posed:
Blink holds up finger in a wait a moment gesture. She flips off her board and dives down deep, swimming around the bottom for a little bit. She eventually comes back up with two or three seashells. She climbs back on her board, keeping them carefully in hand. "Thought someone might like these," she says of them.

Clarice motions to the beach, where the purple portal they originally came through is still there. "Your room's right there," she tells him with a smile. She glances over to Lorna as if to see if she wants a change of clothing as well. Blink knows her own room, and Lorna's to the point the she could open a portal straight to either of their closets.

Polaris has posed:
A shrug and Lorna flashed Scott a smile as he thanked her. "You're welcome." Amusement dancing in her green eyed gaze. Her natural coloring here looked to fit, particularly with the tropical waters below and the explosion of flora that covered the island at large.

Clarice's sea shell find drew an arch of her brow and a grin, "Well with two of those I could cosplay mermaid pretty well I bet." She teased, and glanced at the portal and back. "I'll change back in my rooms here while you change then." She hadn't brought anything from Genosha clothing wise to the States. Weather wise, it simply didn't make sense.

Cyclops has posed:
Scott surf paddles his way back to shore and awkwardly clambers back onto his feet and picks up his board after dropping it twice. That wax is slippery, and then he moves to stake it into the sand next to his towel before he dries himself off a bit and ducks into the portal to his room and takes some time to change. Out of sight of the portal of course.

About five minutes later, Scott is back on the beach with the same trunks on and a yellow and black t-shirt that has a big text of the number 3 on it and someone's name on the back. Cause he's a dork like that. He finds his sandles and slips them back on before looking for the girls.

Blink has posed:
