Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie will take Rachel down to Kentucky. The two of them taking turns flying and making the trip relatively easy for both of them, cheaper than gas as well.

Marvel Girl has posed:
Rachel Grey Dosn't help that rachel for the most part cheats.. when it's her turn she flys up to almost space and then fly's forward to cut down on time and make it faster.. Wrapping Sam in Tk to protect him from the thin air .

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie smiles and will fly carrying her the last bit. He will land near the edge of the Guthrie's land. "So what ya think of the area?"

Marvel Girl has posed:
Rachel Grey Blinks as she steps down of course she changes her outfit the moment she lands something more Jeans t-shirt and a Jacket style Still with alot of spikes and a spiked collar .. But she's looking around the land " Seems like an old style farm I used to see on vids "

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie smiles and starts to walk along with her, towards the house "Well, the land has ben in the family for a while, and we grew what we could for the family. Pa worked in the coal mine, so us kids spent alot of time helping out." He says as they get within hollaring distance of the house.

Marvel Girl has posed:
Rachel Grey Nods her head as she follows along she's mostly not saying much looking around checking things out and of course scanning like crazy .

Shadowcat has posed:
Up at the house, a white-haired woman is sweeping the front porch with a broom. There doesn't seem to be too much dirt to sweep, judging by the lack of little clouds of particles resulting from the movement of the bristles. But she does it anyway.

Lucinda Guthrie turns her head to call in through the closed screen door. "And do not touch those pies! They are still cooling, and they are meant for dinner with your brother!" she calls inside the house.

Samuel Guthrie maybe a little worried about the spikes, but he does not voice any concern. He will smile and walks up, and steps up the porch and moves to wrap his mom in a hug and lift her off her feet a moment. "Hey there Ma." He grins at her and sets her back down on her feet. "Ma, this is Rachel, Rachel tihs is my Ma.

Marvel Girl has posed:
Rachel Grey well, Rachel just steps a little behind Sam yep.. she's nervous and intimidated all at the same time and doesn't know how to reach or say anything. She was totally fine right up to seeing the woman and then everything froze and her brain is screaming abort abort abort. So all she can say is a very shy " hello".

Shadowcat has posed:
Mrs. Guthrie lets out a little cry of happiness as she sees the pair walking up. "Oh Samuel!" she exclaims, moving over to him as he picks her up and hugs her. She hugs him back tight before giving him a little swat to put her down. She straightens her hair then, wanting to look nice as she meets Rachel.

"Hello Rachel. It's very nice to meet you. Sam has told us a lot about you," she says. Probably not as much as Lucinda Guthrie thinks. The time-traveling was left out, for instance. Lucinda glances at the spikes on the collar briefly but doesn't say anything, just widens her smile a little more.

"Aren't you just the loveliest thing," she tells Rachel. "Well, you both must be... I don't know, is it tiring, coming back like that? Well, either way, come inside. I've got some lemonade chilling, and some sweet tea as well if you prefer that?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie smiles and will take Rachel's hand giving it a reasuring squeeze "Well it is a good work out, but if you need me you know Ah can be here in a few hours." He reasures his ma. "So, did Ah hear something about Pie. Ah well telling Rachel about your cooking, Ah made some chicken and biscuits for her the other day.

Marvel Girl has posed:
Rachel Grey Blinks and cocks her head she thinks for a moment "Never had either what tastes better?" She asks rather curious though she squeezes sams hand back feeling a little better at the squeeze but still sticking to him a bit shy .

Shadowcat has posed:
Lucinda pats Samuel's arm and says, "He was always good about the house. Helped me make sure the young'uns were taken care of after we lost his father," the grey-haired woman confirms to Rachel.

And then she shows a look of surprise. "Oh my. Never had lemonade? Or sweet tea? Why Samuel Zachery Guthrie! I thought you knew how to treat a lady better than to never have offered her sweet tea." Lucinda moves over to put her arm around Rachel, if allowed, and usher her inside. "You come inside and wash up and I'll get you a glass of -both-," she says.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie smiles and says "Oh Ah have offered her some but most time she has been more interested in coffee. It is still a bit chillier back in Westchester than here." He says about why Rachel might not have tried the drinks. "Rach grew up not getting to try alot of things, so Ah am trying to introduce her to some things, and she is teaching me about things she learned growing up as well." He does not sa that part of that is fighitng and sentinels.

Marvel Girl has posed:
Rachel Grey follows along " I like trying food " she adds as she follows long she looks about though " I liked those biscuits and gravy thing and chicken and waffles those were yummy, Coffee is amazing".

Shadowcat has posed:
The house is well-kept and clean. Two of Samuel's siblings are inside, moving over to greet him as Lucinda waves them away from Rachel, telling the young woman, "Well you will have all sorts of things to try today, I assure you. Come have a seat," she says, motioning Rachel to a chair.

The family matriarch heads off to the kitchen, filling some glasses with lemonade and iced tea, the latter already sweetened. So is the lemonade of course. She brings them back into the living room and passes them about.
