Date of Scene: 25 March 2019
Location: Unknown
Synopsis: A local celebrity sighting at an Indian restaurant leads to autographs and sweet promises of nothing. Thor's a good guy for grabbing food for Janet (we mean Jocasta). Felicia? She's up to no good, but what else is new?
Cast of Characters: Thor, Black Cat

Thor has posed:
A quest beckons and thus the Mighty Thor advances upon his task, sallying forth from the Avengers' Mansion in his clandestine task to acquire the needed Butter Chicken from the Indian restaurant that has at times drawn the attention of the World's Mightiest Heroes.
Emerging into the sunshine, his baseball cap shielding his good eye from the brightness of the day, Thor adjusts his hands in the pockets of his hoodie as he steps through the gate and into the flow of foot traffic. Blue jeans and white sneakers complete the civilian look to the man as he feels he blends seamlessly with the populace.
    The perfect crime.
And, to be fair, he doesn't get too many second glances as he walks. But that is likely more to do with it being New York and less so the efficacy of his disguise. Sure there might be a few looks extra when he cuts across the street, jay-walking rudely. But those looks are mainly because the drivers are not very pleased with him.
It's when he gets to the restaurant, however, that he's instantly recognized. Since the owner has served their orders repeatedly.
"Hello, my friend!" The man calls out and advances from behind his podium, shaking Thor's hand and smiling a wide open smile. "It is so good to see you!" Shake shake shake. "What is it you wish? You have but to ask. Tell me and it shall be prepared at once."
"I bid you greetings as well, Anush. I come to avail myself of your kitchen's fine cooking."

Black Cat has posed:
Sometimes, to get to the good food, one has to mingle amongst the hoi-polloi. Indian food -- specifically tandoori chicken and naan -- sounded amazing to one platnium-blonde cat-burglar. As such, she descends from the comfort of her home to snag an Uber ride over to Upper Manhattan and a very specific little restaurant she's been in love with for years now. It's cold enough to warrant her navy-blue pea-coat overtop her black athletic leggings and knee-high brown boots. Over her hair, let loose, a cream-colored beanie. While Felicia's not known by name, she's definitely a regular, and as she steps in through the front doors, she makes to lift a hand and wiggle her fingers in a wave.

However, it appears Anush is busy talking to a gentleman in a baseball cap with shoulders wide enough that some doorframes might tremble. The blonde lets her eyes rove over him without concern -- very nice fit, those jeans -- and then meanders into the restaurant. She takes up her place in line behind Thor by a comfortable amount of feet and pulls out her phone to fiddle. Still, there's something about the accent of the larger man's voice that seems familiar. Felicia's jade-green eyes, lined in kohl, linger on him with her finger poised over her phone screen. Could it be...?

Thor has posed:
There is something about that voice. Strong, bombastic, larger than life even though he is trying to keep his tone down a touch. He's bearded, and with a smile that is vibrant and seems to tell each person whomever it is aimed at that they are /important/ and this man's good friend. For, in truth, to him they are.
And so Anush is all smiles as he says, "Of course. Of course. Two orders of the Chicken Tikka Masala and four orders of Garlic Naan?"
"You know me too well, friend Anush. Indeed! But I must ask of you for another." Says the man in the ball cap... and with the... strapless eye patch?
"Lady Van Dyne has tasked me with acquiring your Butter Chicken. And so I would ask that of you as well."
"Very good, sir. Very good." Anush at the least does his part for maintaining the pretense of anonymity as he does not use the man's name. "But a moment."
Though to Anush's credit he does not neglect Felicia as he smiles to her as well and holds up a hand, "Myself or my wife will be with you shortly, miss. Very shortly."
And with that, Anush departs. And it leaves the two blondes standing there in the foyer area, though some of the diners are grinning and gesturing in Thor's direction.

Black Cat has posed:
Felicia's lips are parted in an incredulous half-grin by the time she's addressed by the restaurant's owner. Blinking away the expression as if caught off-guard, she mirrors the gesture of raised hand. "No worries," comes the quiet reply. She watches Anush go and idly glances around the eatery.

Whoa. Wait, why are...oh, right. Oh, but yes -- YES. Thor is now the recipient of a very pointed, fairly wide-eyed look from the cat-burglar. A little tremble runs through her as if she were forceably tamping down goosebumps (or perhaps a squeeeee) before she takes a step towards him. Only one, and with her phone pressed tightly to her ample chest beneath the cover of the peacoat.

"Um, hi. You're...Thor, right? The Asgardian?" She deliberately pitches her voice lower as to not draw MORE attention. A winsome flutter of lashes follow as she bites the inside of her red lip for a second. "Ohmygod, you are, aren't you?!"

Yes, that was a little squeak.

Thor has posed:
A small chuff is heard as he lets slip a breath in what might be a chuckle but he suppresses it and has the presence to look a touch sheepish as he looks away then back towards her. "Aye. Though please, good lady," He holds a hand up and then lowers it slightly as if to indicate that they should keep their voices down, "I would not wish to cause a disruption to Anush's establishment. He is a good man and a fine cook."
The way he nods it's clear he believes it is so, though he does extend his hand towards her. "I am pleased to meet you, by what name shall I call you?"
He's taller than her, by a good bit, and the way he looks at her is not quite as most others might. There is no hint of the lascivious in his gaze, no touch of teasing nor flirtation. Just... a curious sincerity and earnestness that in some ways... well might remind her of a certain wall-crawler.

Black Cat has posed:
Felicia rises up onto her toes briefly at the confirmation, her ivory teeth flashing again as they dimple into her plush bottom lip to stifle the continued attempt at the 'squeeeeeeeee' being released from the base of her lungs. It clogs up her voice -- which is all to the good, given he's still speaking. A second passes before she realizes that the outstretched hand is for her to shake and with a visible attempt to compose herself to sleek poise, she reaches out to take it.

"Call me Felicia, please," she replies, her voice dropping into a mellow and velvety register, far less brash than the man before her. A squeeze of presumed familiarity on her part before she drops his hand and flexes her fingers unconsciously, as if subconsciously disbelieving that she's just greeted one of the Avengers face-to-face. "I didn't think that the mighty Thor liked Indian food. I would've lost a bet in a bar over it," Felicia adds, giving him a fetching smile that twinkles in her eyes. Oh yes, the flirtation is strong with this one.

Thor has posed:
Thor is not immune to such, but then again he has also had... experience in dealing with the smile and the warmth seen in such a look. He gives her a nod and a closed lip smile though his cheeks dimple with amusement, eyebrows lifting as if to say, 'oh it's not that big of a deal.'
He holds one wrist in the other hand before him even as he shifts his weight to the other boot. "Then I shall say 'tis good to meet you, Lady Felicia."
The Asgardian turns and lifts his chin, indicating Anush and perhaps the restaurant as a whole. "But aye, I have sampled many of the delicacies that the island of Manhattan has to offer. I enjoy Pad Thai. The Pepperoni Pizza. And," He gestures with one hand slightly in the direction of the kitchen, "And the Chicken Tikka. All delicious."
"But assuredly I reveal naught to you that you do not already know." His smile is there, open and warm and his good eye is just so blue.

Black Cat has posed:
"I follow the Twitter feed, yes, but I didn't know about Pad Thai." A little bit of pink flushes through Felicia's cheeks at the revelation. Yep, certified celebrity watcher here. "I'm more of a green curry girl myself, but sometimes I'll try the Pad Thai. I'm here for the Tandoori chicken and naan. The bread is just..."

A big inhale and contented sigh to follow, burring in the back of her throat. "...to die for. Loosely speaking," the woman adds with a dimpled grin of her own. His ease of being is making it far easier for her to converse with him in turn. "But I thought I heard 'buttered chicken'...?" She looks around -- well, has to step to one side to look around Thor towards the kitchens and back to him. "I haven't tried it yet." Her attention returns to him and she slouches, just a little, hips akilter as to better display her curvature, hidden away beneath the peacoat as is.

Thor has posed:
"Nor have I!" He says as he confesses to not having tried it either, his smile terribly open as he nods a few times and casts his gaze off towards the kitchen. But then he looks back and furrows his brow a touch as he looks around that small waiting area until he espies the plastic bench seat that sits near the front window.
She'll feel him gently touch one hand to her elbow as he uncurls the other and gestures in the direction of the seat, silently suggesting they move over there while they wait even as the door opens with a jangle of the bell that hangs from it. Anush's wife appears rather quickly to deal with them while Thor moves to the bench.
He'll sit down on one side of it and should she join him he'll make sure she has room enough. "It is for my good friend, Janet. I am going to bring it back for her as a favor." He says this matter of factly as if it was so very terribly interesting.
"Though I may try it at some point. Though, in all truth it will likely slip my mind." He makes that admission with a small half-smile as if admitting this failing of his was a touch embarrassing.

Black Cat has posed:
The light and courtly bump at her elbow makes Felicia glance down and then up at him, momentarily going owlish in her regard of him. Oh god, it's -- an invitation to sit with him! Cue stifled squeeeee redux. Following in his wake, the cat-burglar-sans-suit settles down beside him. Her palms smooth the fall of her coat on her thighs as she crosses her legs daintily at the knees.

"It's okay. I forget things now and then. As we say here on Earth, it's only human," says she, adopting a cheeky expression of sagacity. Thor gets a warm side-eyeing before she turns in place to better face him, her fingers interlaced over her topmost knee. "You seem like a very nice guy, Thor. I was wondering if I could ask you a favor too...?" Her bottom lip slips out in a subtle winsome pout as she looks at him through her dark lashes.

Thor has posed:
That earns a low chuckle from him as he sits there, though he's leaning forwards with his forearms resting on his knees and his fingers interlaced. That black baseball cap on his head does little to hide the eye patch and his distinct profile, but at least he tries.
"Aye, tis true. We are, all in our own ways, human." There's a beat and he adds, "Ish."
But then she asks him for a favor and his response is nearly instantaneous, "But of course, name it and if it is in my power I will do my best to grant it." Those words come easily to him, even though distantly some part of his memory might recall someone saying something... about how he can't just go around granting boons.
    But nope, it's gone.
"Though if it would conflict with a prior oath I would not be able to grant you your wish." He warns her.

Black Cat has posed:
Felicia blinks at him. The genuine earnesty of his response takes her back and behind her eyes, there's a flash of uncertainty now. That might give away a hint of what she had planned, all in selfish entertainment to herself. However, it becomes clear that the woman figures heavily into how fortune favors the bold and she makes to rifle through her shoulder-purse.

Out comes a Sharpie pen. She holds it towards Thor and grins like a Cheshire cat. "Would you mind giving me an autograph?"

And with her other hand, she begins unbuttoning the top roundel of her peacoat with practiced care, never dropping her jade-green eyes from his face.

Thor has posed:
He quirks an eyebrow behind his patch as he looks on her sidelong, straightening up a little as she digs into her purse and awaits her. Thor's gaze follows her movements and when he hears her make that request his smile broadens as she chooses something that is easily in his power.
"I would not mind at all, Lady Felicia." And he straightens up, turning to face her directly as she produces the pen and hands it to him. His attention slips to the pen and he cheerfully pulls off the cap and places it on the butt end of the marker. Then he turns back to her and she's undoing that button.
"Ah." He says at first and exhales another small breath that might be a chuckle if it were given more life. He shakes his head but then asks her, "You would have me..." He gestures with the pen towards her chest and he cocks an eyebrow at her, letting her finish the question as he adds, "Are you certain?"

Black Cat has posed:
The little gasp is all teasing reprimand. "Why, mister Thor, as if I'd bare myself entirely to you!" Felicia arches an eyebrow reprovingly before it all melts away into an expression full of warmth and charm. "Just below the collarbone, please. No lower. You'd have to give me your number if you want anything else."

Another two buttons and she draws aside the lapel of the coat with practiced delay, being sure to rake her eyes up Thor as she does so. "Right there," she says with a taptap of a manicured finger above her heart. Beneath the peacoat, she wears a scoop-necked t-shirt that leaves little to the imagination.

"Though yes, I would have you," she's sure to add sotto-voce. Hey, even if the writing skitters, it's bonus points in the cat-burglar's book.

Thor has posed:
"Tis quite the canvas," The Odinson says as he bites his lower lip, his brow beetles in thought as he considers what to write as he leans forwards. There's a small laugh from one of the tables of customers who can actually see what's going on and it's likely that Felicia and Thor are having their pictures taken.
But Thor... he doesn't seem to mind as he ponders what to write, and then inspiration strikes him as she'll then feel the pen tip touch gently as he writes,

Dear Felicia, we share the mystery of Butter Chicken.

<3 Thor. o-()

Though when she makes that comment at the last he doesn't lose control of the pen, instead he just shoots her a knowing smile as he finishes the final touches of that little drawing of Mjolnir.

Black Cat has posed:
"Thank you kindly, Thor." Words fall in delicate little purrs as to his compliment. Felicia dips her chin to watch him write and it only furthers the pretense of fetching shyness. She's careful not to breathe //too much// -- must not smudge the autograph, after all, it needs to be clearly visible for the Twitter post she'll be making this evening. Suck it, squealing fangirls!

Once the finishing touches are done, she affects a little shuddering sigh, as if the entire act brought her pleasure. "You are a gentleman." A hand held out is offered as place to put the Sharpie pen. "I suppose I'll have to wash carefully around it as to not rub it off," she adds. "I'll be careful with the soap suds, cross my little heart." Felicia even draws a little X in the general area with a nail, right below the autograph, winking at Thor.

Thor has posed:
Of course that is the moment when Anush emerges with several bags, two of which he extends towards Thor even as Felicia and Thor are for a moment looking at each other, both sort of smirking and smiling, though nothing further being said. Perhaps it is fortuitous that Anush interrupts when he does so.
"Here you are, sir. Everything is ready." Then he extends a bag towards Felicia and smiles, "And you, ma'am."
Thor rises to his feet, accepting the bag and simultaneously reaching for his jacket pocket only for Anush to interrupt him.
"No no, we are quite well paid, thank you kind sir. Thank you." And apparently that counts for Felicia's meal as well as the man then gives them both a small bow with hands held before him then he turns away.
"You enjoy my thanks, good Anush." Thor's voice is loud enough that it carries and might well trigger another few pictures to be taken. Though he does tuck that bag under his arm and starts walking to the door but waits for Felicia so he can hold it for her.
Once they're outside in the chill he smiles to her, "Well I am afraid it is here where we part ways, Lady Felicia. It was wonderful to make your acquaintance. Perhaps in the future our paths will cross." He adjusts the bag under his arm, shifting his grip.

Black Cat has posed:
While quite content with her haul (as in autograph alone), the cat-burglar does still give Anush an arched brow in passing for interrupting them. Tsk. Given he means well, however -- and gosh, food's on the house this evening! -- the blonde doesn't make a peep of complaint. Rather, she looks even more as the cat in the bowl of cream. Smug almost wisps from her in the wake of her leaving the restaurant through the door so politely held open for her.

She too pauses beneath the fall of the street lamp and looks up at the Asgardian. "It was wonderful to meet you too, Thor." The peacoat is buttoned up slowly again as she holds his gaze. However, she noticeably hasn't put the Sharpie pen away. "Here..."

Grabbing up one of the napkins from her own bag of food, she then writes out a number on it. Daring to step into his personal space, she makes to delicately tuck it into the collar of his own shirt. "In case you feel the need to be had," explains the Black Cat as she then retreats to a proper distance again, eyes smoldering at Thor. The moment passes, however, and now she's simply coy and attentive once more. "Happy to cross paths with you again. For now, sleep tight."

A final wink and the platinum-blonde turns on her heel to sashay away. It might be nice to watch her leave.
