Chatting and Chedder Brugers

Synopsis:	Tim Drake, Carrie Kelley, Gar Logan, Kitty Pryde, and Koriand'r meet up for a late night meal. Kori learns why some heroes wear masks.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake has put out on the social network channel he uses for people he trusts that he is out and about grabbing a burger if anyone wants to come by. He gives a hint of grabbing food on his more public media account.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley wasn't as much a Twitter maven as she once may have been, but there were certain accounts that she kept an eye on. When Tim mentions burgers... It's not such a bad idea, really. She'd taken the night off to focus on some last minute cramming for tests (which in reality was preparing for time in advance), and comes down to the Big Belly Burger to take a break. Stepping inside she glances around for any familiar faces already here, including Tim, who she greets with a grin. "Hey Timmy!"

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty makes a food run. Though Jason's brownstone has more food than it used to since she started staying there so much, it still isn't the most well stocked. After all, the girl eats cereal for 3/4 of her meals when alone.

And Los Pollos Hermanos is out, though the damage from finding 3 sections of their water pipes had suddenly disappeared is nearly repaired and they are ready to reopen. Anyway, Jason prefers Big Belly. So she pulls up to the place and climbs out of her car, heading inside. It doesn't take Kitty long to stop a familiar redhead, and then Tim soon after. Kitty walks over towards them, waving a greeting whenever one of them sees her.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake waves and sas "Hey" to Carrie as she comes over, and Kitty following not far behind. He ill smile and motion towards the booth "Join me ladies?" He will invite and says "Carrie, this is Kitty, Kitty this is Carrie."

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley pauses at this with a twist of her lips in apparent amusement as Tim introduces them. Lightly clearing her throat she turns to the side to look back toward Kitty with green eyes gone wide, and an impish grin. "Oh! I've heard *so* much about you!" She gushes... Right before stepping in close to Kitty to wrap her arms around the other girl with a wink. Leaning forward she moves to mock-dip Kitty with an overly dramatic, clearly faked, "MUAH!" Kissing noise. It lasts a half second before she laughs out loud and stands proper again keeping her arm loosely around Kitty in a camrauderly fashion as she grins toward Tim broadly.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde is wearing a pair of jeans and a sweater that is thick enough to not need a jacket tonight. She makes her way over toward the pair at the booth. "Hi Tim," she offers to him before smiling over to the redhead as Carrie moves in for the hug and the dip. Kitty clings to her, trying not to laugh, but failing. Once Kitty is stood back up, she runs her fingers through her hair. "So... Carrie, was it?" Kitty says as if that all happened with a total stranger.

Beast Boy has posed:
     The notice that Tim was going to Big Belly Burger was too much temptation for Gar Logan to ignore.

  The green actor strolled into the burger house, wearing a red and white hoodie, emblazoned with a green paw print. "Heyy!" He calls out, smiling to Tim. "Timbo, what up big dog?" He smiles, giving Tim a bro-handshake. "Dude, Big Belly Busters all day all night! I couldn't pass one up."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake chuckles a bit and did not expect this many people to show up, but he smiles, and is totaly ok with it. He will look to the ladies, and says "Doh, I forgot you asked how Kitty was after our little dust up." He says remembering Carrie was there when he was telling Dick. He grins and says "Garth, how is the green machine." He will ask him in greeting. There is room in the booth for all 4.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley laughs warmly at Kitty's response. Her mood was greatly improved by having run into her friend even if it wasn't intentional at first. Her own attire was... Well. Jeans, sneakers, and a hoodie that had probably seen better days, but was still clean and warm. Typical college stuff. "Yeah, we know one another," she agrees with a shrug, and a friendly squeeze to Kitty's shoulders. "Good to see you again. And thanks for sending out the invite, Tim. I could use a break from studying."

When Garth shows up her eyebrows lift just a bit at the sight of the green fellow, along with a soft 'huh.' "This is a new face though." OR at least not one she's met. Stepping away from Kitty she glances over her shoulder back toward the front of the burger joint. "Guess we should probably grab some grub though."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde grins over to Tim and says, "Yes, we've become pretty good friends. She helped me look for an apartment in New York the other day, actually." Kitty flashes Carrie a smile for that. "Yes, food would be a fantastic idea," Kitty agrees. She tells Tim, "We'll be right back."

As she starts to step away, Gar Logan moves over to greet Tim. The young man's green skin draw the attention as one might expect. If he looks over towards Kitty as she's walking away from the booth, she'll give him a friendly smile and nod.

Kitty will walk over to the counter and order herself a burger. The one with thousand island on it, but they call it special sauce or something like that. She looks over to Carrie and says, "So, I found a place. Much cheaper than I expected, too." Kitty's hand resting on the counter moves, drumming her fingers a few times.

Beast Boy has posed:
     Gar has a way with a smile. "Hi, I'm Gar Logan." He offers both ladies as he finishes catching up with Tim. "Tim and me go way back. Like...wayyy back." He says, again smiling.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake chuckles, and nods his head a bit to this and while the ladies can probably easily figure out who Beast Boy is, Tim, will let the girls decide if they want to out themselves. He will smile and say "So, grab ya some food and join us." He tells the other young man.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley dips her head toward Gar in passing as the introduction is made. "Nice to meet you!" She offers cheerily with an apologetic, "Food first, brb guys." Yes, she says 'brb'. Trailing behind Kitty she waits for her own order to be put in choosing just a cheese burger with a double helping of onion rings because who dosen't love onion rings? As she's waiting, her gaze drops down to Kitty's drumming fingers idly.

"I assume you know who that is, right? He's an actor and a..." Her head tilts as the shin of a ring on Kitty's finger catches her attention. Reaching out she snags hold of the brunette's hand to hold it up staring a moment. "Art deco. Just a bit of patina. Old, but not too old." Running her thumb over the ring she lifts her gaze to Kitty's with a questioning look.

"You got something you need to tell us, Kitty?"

Kitty gives a guilt grin over to Carrie. The ring that Carrie is looking at is worn on Kitty's left ring finger.



Kitty looks at it, unable to hide the smile. "So... Jason met my mother a few nights ago. She was in town for Purim. And... while she was there, he gave me this. It's a promise ring," she says. "It belong to Mr. Wayne's mother. He gave it to Jason for me," she says, blushing just a little bit. But still smiling huge.

When their food comes, Kitty will return to the table, with Carrie presumably. At which point she can offer greetings to Gar. "Hello. Big fan of yours," she says as Tim introduces them.

Beast Boy has posed:
     Gar picked up his food, looking to the menu as he ordered. "Yeah, can I get a double belly buster, large fry, and aaa...strawberry shake!" It was a hefty order, but Gar also used the calories that it garnered.

  Walking back to the table, Gar gives a nod and a smile to Kitty. "Thanks! It's...kinda hard to cover who I am in public, so I kinda...embrace it." Of course, it's not that easy being green though.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake 's brow raises as he hears what Kitty says. Be it he did not think Jason had it in him to catch a girl like Kitty, did not think Jason could get that serious, or that Bruce let him use the ring. "Well, congradulation I think, you know it is Jason." He teases with a smile and says "But seriously, I hpe you and he are happy Kitty."

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley takes her tray back along with her to join the boys again. Still grinning at Kitty she gives a nod of apparent understanding. "That's great! I'm totally going to tease him about this though," she points out with a matter-of-fact warning to her friend. Her attention shifts back to Tim and Gar though as she settles in to sit, snagging one of her onion rings in the process. "Yeah, nice to meet you. I had no idea Tim knew you... Though I guess I should have considered that. He has the oddest connections," she points out with a wink toward Gar.

Kitty grins back to Carrie as they return, saying, "I would expect you to do no less. Also? My friend Anna-Marie hooked me up with an old friend in town. I'm getting a room, no charge. All I have to do is help sort and index some books and digitize some of the ones in worse shape. You'll have to stop by some time. It's at 177a Bleecker Street."

Kitty sets her tray down on the table, having got the burger plus a soda. She grins to Tim and says, "Thank you. I mean, it's not... we aren't engaged but... it's still kind of special to me." She has a big grin as she takes her seat. Kitty's expression as she looks to Gar softens a bit. "I know how people can be, around those who are different," she tells Gar. "I have a lot of respect that you have made a public go of it," she says. She hesitates a moment and says, "Which don't let my saying what I'm about to say suggest I didn't mean what I just said. But? If it gets to the point you might like anonymity in public? I know of something Mr. Stark makes that would let you blend in. I'd have to see what it would take to get you one. If you wanted. Not that you should have to. But I get how people can be."

Beast Boy has posed:
     "Congrats! Wait...Jason?!?" Gar's eyes shift to Tim faster than a jackrabbit flees a coyote. "Seriously?"

  He clears his throat, then takes a sip of his shake. "Well, umm. I wish you many years of happiness." He ends, smiling but it was a little forced. "Does she know about him?" He whispers over to Tim. Gar had known Jason too, for the small time he was in the Titans.

  Kitty's mentioning of Tony Stark and a possible way to cover up in public has his ears raising, if he were a dog at the moment, he'd be wagging his tail vigorously. "That would be pretty sweet! For occasional stuff. I uhh, sorry about my reaction just now...I just umm, have a history."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake smiles a bit and says "That he can be a jerk, well she has spent more than 15 minutes with him." He jokes, and says "In all honesty, she knows probably knows him as well as most anyone. " He hmmms, and says "If Kitty does not know it all, I thnk she knows enough nothing will be to suprising, well least most things."

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley regards Gar thoughtfully at mention of hiding. The onion ring is chomped on, and she remarks idly, "Could probably do something similar with a lot of stage makeup, but.. Probably nothing half as nice as Stark tech." For that she'd just let Kitty do the offering.

"I think everyone knows what a soundrel Jason is. I mean he was hitting on me just a few months ago." Glancing toward Kitty she grins broader, "Though I think this is the better situation by far. Seriously happy for you, Kitty. And of course I'd love to stop by sometime! Sounds like you're getting quite the line of connections. I should try to branch out more myself at some point."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde chuckles over to Gar at his comment, and then nods as if she suspects he might be right about her knowing him about as well as anyone. "He has a good heart. And he's been through a lot. A lot of people wouldn't have come out the other side of what he's endured and care as much as he does," Kitty says. Not sounding like she's defending him either. But there's pride in her voice.

"And if he has rough edges? Well, I can endure those," she says with a shrug and a smile. KItty looks over to Carrie and says, "Things really have kind of just been a whirlwind the last few weeks," she agrees. "Between the job and the relationship and... everything," Kitty says, leaving out far more than she's mentioned. "But you have to check out this room. Seriously you are going to flip out," she tells Carrie.

Beast Boy has posed:
     Hunter green eyebrows raise towards Kitty as she explains her situation. Gar was an easygoing guy. Despite his uncanny ability to be teamed up with people who live in those shades of grey. "Well, he's not...as young as we were anymore. I'm sure he's changed a bit." He offers up, taking a big honking bite from the burger. "Anyway, I hope you two are happy, everyone deserves that much in life."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake is sitting at a booth with Kitty, Beast Boy, and Carrie, the 4 have burgers and food in front of them and are chatting a bit "Yea, even Damian aint as young as any of us once were, but I think he was born grumpy. Have you gotten a chance to meet Damian or Dick?' he will ask Kitty.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley glances down at her phone when it starts go to fof with a great sigh. "That's my roommate," she mentions to the trio with an apologetic shrug. "I asked her to watch the cat I'm sitting and ... he does not seem to like her a lot. I'll catch up with you guys later," she promises as she quickly wraps up her burger and onion rings while scooting out of the booth. "You guys behave! Or I'll find out."

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r heard that the Titans were dining and she walks in, grinning widely as she walks to the counter. "I'll take a Super Belly Buster, extra onions and extra extra extra extra EXTRA mustard - with a side of mustard or an entire bottle, a large fry and..." She looks over at the drink selection, wrinkling her nose. "Ummmm.... unswettened ice tea unless you serve beer." She then sighs. "Of course you don't serve beer. The unsweet tea will do." She smiles as she pays for her order and goes to sit at the table right as one girl is leaving. "Hey Tim, Gar. And..." She peeks at Kitty. "Hi. I'm Koriand'r," she states, extending her hand to the new she hasn't met.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde smiles over to Gar and tells him, "Thank you. I think we are. I sure hope he is anyway." She gives a warm laugh at that and then looks to Tim to answer, "Yes, have had a chance to meet both of them. And Mr. Wayne on a couple of occasions now," she tells him. "You were the only one of the family I don't think I'd met yet, until the other night."

Kitty gives Carrie a hug, if allowed, before letting the redhead leave. "Call me later," she says with a smile and a wave. And then Kitty looks up as Koriand'r comes over. "Oh, hello," Kitty says in a friendly tone. She shakes Koriand'r's hand. "I'm Kitty Pryde," she offers to the new arrival.

Beast Boy has posed:
     Gar arches an eyebrow when Damian's name is mentioned. Taking a plastic knife from his tray and making a stabbing motion with it, looking inquisitively at Tim. A silent way of asking about the murder midget. There was a reason Gar was only a reserve Titan now.

  "Hey Star, whattup?" He says with a smile, scooching over to let her into the booth.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake chuckles be it at the stabbing or the amount of mustard Kory hasm is not sure. He hmms a bit as he realizes might need to come up with a cover identity when he is hanging out with his friends who are public identites. "He is on a bit of a walk about trying to find himself, but I think will end up ok now, just gotta get him back home." He nods to Kory, and says "Hey how you doing this evening. "A idea comes to mind and says "Kory might be able to give you a bit of advice, she has dated one of the Waynes, so might know what kind of wierdness for ya to expect dating one of my brothers."

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r smiles. "Oh, you mean Dick? Oh right, he's adopted. Did you know Batman came to talk to me about it? I know he is supposedly just a regular human... and if that's the case I could break him in half... but he is INTIMIDATNIG." She sighs softly as she hears her order called and snags her food, and then plops back down, flipping the burger's lid to look. She sighs as she puts more mustard on it till it's dripping and takes a big bite.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde can't help but look at Koriand'r a bit more. It isn't outright staring like she probably gets a lot though. More of a curious air. "Ah, so you're Kori. I'd heard mention of you," Kitty tells Koriand'r. "Though I didn't realize... you weren't from around here," she says after pausing a moment to pick some wording.

Kitty turns her focus to her food, just listening quietly for the next few moments. A small bite of her burger, followed by a sip of her soda. She has a satisfied look at the bite, as if she was quite hungry by this late in the evening.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake will sigh a moment, and looks to kori, and a bit quieter so not to carry to other booths "No mask." he points to himself and Kitty. Need to keep the secret ids till you know someone is in the know. I was thinking more the civilian things, but will admit it had not thought about it. You and Dick were a couple in public, did you hid the relationship from the media in costume?" He realizes he had not thought about that, but does at least confirm Kitty is in the know sorta.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r shrugs. "I don't remember really. I don't pay attention to how you guys don't want yourselves known. The only way I can conceal myself is with a full trench coat. Those things make my cleithrophobia act up. I don't know if it was known he was dating an alien with or without the mask." She shrugs as she bites. "Why are you so afraid of your costumes?" she asks quietly. She doesn't even suspect that Kitty is more than she appears.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde glances between the three. "Not really my place to say, maybe," Kitty says. "Some people do things that the authorities don't accept. So they could get arrested. Even without that? I imagine a lot of those people have families. Families that bad guys would be more than willing to harm if they could figure out their identities. I imagine reasons like that would be why they wear masks in the first place. If a family is out of reach, on another planet, maybe not an issue then. But for them?" Kitty shrugs and returns to her burger.

Beast Boy has posed:
     Gar keeps eating as the others talk about family stuff. He was just friends with the Wayne boys. Well, all but two. But Damian was...hard to get along with, and Jason...didn't have much of a time with the Titans.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake will get quiet for a moment, as this brings up some bad memories for the young man, but nods a bit to Kitty's words "Sometime even the precautions don't help, sometimes the life comes home even when it does not get out, but most times it is to protect people. There is also the whole people will try to find a way to sue heroes and make it harder to be a hero." He again keeps voice to not carry past the booth.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r just sighs as she shakes her head. "Lawyers. One day they'll kill us all. Even Darkseid's Furies aren't as bad as lawyers." She blinks. "A law should be passed classing lawyers as nonhuman, eligible for hunting." She shrugs. "I think it'd benefit society as a whole."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde eats her food, looking thoughtful. The young woman with the doctorate in English literature has bits of Shakespeare running through her head at the mention of doing that to the lawyers. Though Kitty doesn't speak them aloud. They probably would have much meaning to the alien.

Unless maybe she said them in the original Klingon.

Kitty says, "Well, I doubt that law will see the light of day, but it's a thought." She has a rueful look, and then pulls out her phone to check the time. "Tim, I should get back home, bring Jason something to eat. He should be back soon too. Nice seeing you again."

Kitty rises, and tells Gar, "I have no idea what it would take to get one of those things from Stark Industries. But, have Tim get you in touch with me and I'll see what it might cost," she offers. To Koriand'r, "Nice to meet you."

Beast Boy has posed:
     Gar keeps on eating, pausing only to offer a kind hand to Tim. The green man was not an empath, but he did know others emotions. Garfield Logan was, after all, the boy who laughed away his pain.

  He also had a weird family of his own, in the Doom Patrol.
