Location: Subway Station in Gotham
Synopsis: Selene tracks two Lycans into the subway. As a fight breaks out, Wolverine and Shadowcat jump into the fray
Cast of Characters: Selene (Underworld), Shadowcat, Wolverine

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
The sun is starting to set, its not quite night yet but the night is certainly looming.

A subway station between Gotham and Manhattan, it services a lot of other locations but this is one of the primary ports to service between those two major locations. Its rather busy at this time of day.

Its still fairly cool outside today, only in the upper 40s and expected to dip into the low 30s by nightfall. The citizens inside the station are all mostly bundled up and minding their own businesses as they wait for their next connecting train to arrive.

One such group of people are a pair of men, a lanky white guy with short blond hair and some tribal tattoos beneath his eyes, his face is gaunt and his eyes are piercing blue. His friend with him is of Spanish decent, darker toned skin and black hair, wearing black clothing, jacket and pants, gold necklace around his neck.

They're walking through the crowds, passing between people, not exactly being rude about it but not exactly being kind about it either. They're both glancing back over their shoulders as they go, like they're being followed, but acting casual about it.

They are, indeed, being followed.

A woman in black is trailing after them, about twenty feet behind them. She's not really hiding it either, no she's staring right at them as she too slips between people, catching glances here and there from the others in the station as she's a bit of an eye catching sight. Dressed all in black, shiny leather.

If at this point, Kitty notices this, especially the woman in black, she wise enough to catch a glimpse of a gun inside the woman's jacket when it briefly blows open across her chest.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty grumbles to herself when she saw the weather forecast for today. She'd enjoyed the few days of spring-like weather that the city had had recently. To have to bundle back up fully in near-winter apparel was always depressing. Winter sometimes seems like it will never end in New York.

Though she's not in New York, or at least won't be soon. Catching the subway back to Gotham, having left her car there after hearing the bridges and tunnels were hopelessly snarled after staying the night at the brownstone the night before. Jason still hasn't seen her room at the Sanctum Santorum. Thoughts of showing him fill Kitty's head and put a smile on her face as she unconsciously toys with the new ring that adorns her left ring finger.

But over a half-dozen years as an X-man doesn't leave a girl unobservant of her surroundings. One of the men bumps aside a woman who looks like a suburban housewife. Getting a frown from her, but not cast too darkly for not wanting to draw the men's attention back to her.

Kitty is about to relax when she notices the men's demeanor. The way they look behind them. Kitty pulls out a compact to check her hair and makeup, but uses it to look discretely back along the terminal behind her without turning. The mirror seems almost drawn to the image of Selene, though mainly because a face like that stands out in any crowd. Kitty puts the compact away as Selene passes by, looking over directly, spotting the gun when she's at an angle to best see inside the jacket. Kitty glances about at all of the people that could soon be in harm's way if something goes south. She begins drifting along in the wake of the two men and the dark-clad woman, being far less conspicuous about following than Selene is.

Wolverine has posed:
Six years as an X-Man and it doesn't leave a gal unobservant. But then again it doesn't give one eyes in the back of her head either, to be fair. And with the Sentinels running rampant and Pryde spending time all over the place, she picked up a tail that she didn't entirely catch.
Then again considering who it was, she couldn't be blamed. When the disheveled man in the surplus army clothes had lifted his head on that subway seat to the side, she might not give the man with the hat hanging low on his features a second glance. But the voice is easily recognizable.
"Spare some change, kid?" Logan says as he gains his feet, just in time to grab a hold of an over-hanging bar as if bracing himself.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
As people getting tailed generally do, the two men start to get a little more and more nervous with every obvious step that the woman behind them is taking. The white guy starts to visibly twitch in fact and as they reach the end of the station platform the two of them stop outright.

What happens next, probably won't surprise Kitty and Logan quite as much as it does everyone else... and sadly its unlikely that Logan's little quip of a joke won't get a response either--because gunfire breaks out in the platform. Its closed-in gunfire too, so its LOUD and though the majority of the civilians likely won't entirely know what it is... Logan and Kitty likely know it instantly.

Its not coming from Selene either, its coming from the two men. They both pull out handguns and they both start to unload at the woman open tailing them. Her plan had been to track them into the tunnels, she knew thats where they were going...

But there was a train in the tunnel, at the platform right now, and it meant they couldn't get past it. So they got cornered, and when cornered? Well...

Selene ducks behind a pillar to avoid the gunfire, six rapid shots at first, three people drop to the ground as the packed subway stations starts to PANICK!

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde would usually be hard-pressed to spot a tail from Logan anyway. That she is currently receiving new training and was expecting unexpected exercises meant she has been actively looking for such. Though her voice still carries notes of chagrin as she says, "Picked you up two blocks before the subway. When you stopped to stare at the black dress with the slit when I looked back. Picturing it on anyone in particular? And please tell me you weren't on me from the moment I left Stark Tow-"

Kitty's desire to know how long Logan was tailing her will have to go unanswered as the gunfire breaks out. Her reaction is to jump into the line of fire rather than away from it. To everyone on the platform, the brunette just jumps forward and grabs two other people who are ducking, but still in the path of the gunfire. Logan at least probably sees the gashes in the tile floor, the impact of bullets that must have passed through those people to hit where they did. Kitty pulls the pair into cover before unphasing them, and herself. "Stay down," she tells them as she turns to take stock of the situation again.

Wolverine has posed:
Logan, in that brief moment before the mayhem, confides in Kitty. "Hey. Was a nice dress." But then there's the short sharp report of gunfire and they snap into action. Like a well-oiled machine, the pair operate together with precision that only comes from long training and knowing the other. Kitty makes that break and goes for the support, making sure those people don't get gunned down.
Logan, for his part, spins to the side around one of the columns and breaks into a low run, using the line of columns to break up his silhouette as he moves to close the distance and perhaps even reaching then passing Selene's point of cover.
Once he gets closer, the blades slice through his knuckles, bursting forth from the gloves on his hands as he drags one across the ceramic tile wall, sounding a low /skreeeee/ of sound to perhaps draw the attention of the gun men just before he leaps forwards.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Kitty is able to clear some of the platform of at least a little bit of the pedestrian traffic to help free up more space for others to rush about! Some dart aboard the train while others rush out its open doors!

Once the chaos started, the two men stopped firing their guns. It had achieved the reaction that they wanted and now they're both rushing to the back of the platform as the trains doors are closing and its preparing to pull out of station, the conductor and operator having no idea any of this is going on at the station as he's on the complete other side of the large port.

At the same time that Logan rushes past the pillars with his claws drawn, Selene comes around the OTHER side of the same pillar with her guns now in her hands, she's moving toward the two men in tandem with Logan now, and the train is pulling forward...

The gun men are taking this opportunity to leap off of the platform and down into the tunnel! Selene's left hand is raised up with her left-held gun aimed down into the tunnel, but she doesn't fire... she holds for now.

Her eyes dart over toward Logan. She spots him, and his claws, but the stare only lasts for a second. She turns to the edge of the platform and hops off of it as the train leaves the station, she too starts to vanish down into the darkness of the tunnel it leaves behind giving chase to the gun men who just shot at least three people!

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde makes a quick tour through the wounded. "Are you alright?" Kitty asks a woman hit in the shoulder. "Yes, think it just nicked me," the woman replies. Kitty moves her blouse about to confirm it is just a scratch and then pushes the blouse overtop. "Just keep pressure on it," she says.

Moving to a man hit in his leg, down on the calf. "Doesn't seem to have hit an artery," she says, giving him the same advice about direct pressure.

The third is a rotund business man who took the bullet in the back. Near enough to his spine to be worrisome. "Can you move your arms and legs?" Kitty asks. He groans in pain but manages to do so. "Don't move," she tells him as she reaches inside his body. Phased fingers note the difference in density between his body and the metal of the bullet. The bullet is phased out of him and dropped on the ground. "Just stay there. You, keep pressure on his wound until the EMTs are here," she tells another man.

And then Kitty Pryde is up and running. Sprinting down the subway platform and into the tunnel, having fallen behind Logan and the dark-haired woman by now.

Wolverine has posed:
Sidelong, to Selene as they both run down the tunnel towards the gunmen, Logan's voice rumbles in a sharp snarl as he cautions her. "You shoot me, and we'll have words." And as easy as that he picks up the pace, dropping the pretense of stealth as he sprints after the gun men.
But in that dark of the tunnel, with only the guider lights enough to limn their forms, Logan can still see them, still make out the shape of the men in their flight. His shoes kick up gravel and dirt as he speeds after them, skidding a bit as he follows the curve.
Behind him Selene might have to duck to get clear of the leather jacket that's torn off of Wolverine as he throws it over his shoulder.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene... glances at Logan when he speaks to her, but she doesn't afford him a response. She can obviously tell he's not some run of the mill citizen, not with those massive knives jutting out of his fists, but she doesn't fully believe he knows what he's rushing into either.

What Logan will see in the dark is the two men ahead of him dart down a tunnel that off shoots off of the main subway pathway, its an access tunnel that goes god-knows-where and has a dim red light above its entrance that bathes it in a blood-hued shade.

The jacket flaps around past Selene and lands squarely on the tracks, likely not to survive long if a train were to come through at any moment now. She rushes after them all, but she separates at the blood-red doorway and instead vanishes down a different path.

If Logan pursues into this hallway, the two men will no longer be visible, but he'll still be able to SMELL them, they're close, they're trying to hide and get the jump on their pursuers. But something is different about them, they smell different, more odorous and pungent now... It might remind him of Sabertooth in fact.

Kitty will likely be able to catch up with Logan at this point, but there's no sign of Selene.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde sprints down the tunnel, phased so she doesn't have to worry about tripping over rails or anything. She goes right through Logan's jacket without spotting it. Poor jacket. You deserved a better fate than being dragged beneath the L Train from Brooklyn.

Up ahead she can just make out the two figures, one darting one way, and the other looking over towards the passage with the red light above it. She skids to a stop beside Logan, phasing back to normal for the moment as she catches her breath.

Kitty isn't breathing all that hard despite the short sprint. A testament to her ongoing workouts with hard-light Logan in the mountains of Japan, no doubt. She looks over to Logan and motions towards the tunnel. "Where's the woman? She go after them?" Kitty asks. "And what's the plan?" she inquires, ready to follow the more experienced X-man's lead.

Wolverine has posed:
The Wolverine draws up short, frowning as he moves into that hallway, his footsteps quiet with the gravel barely shifting under his steps. He tilts his head to the side, leading with an ear even as his nostrils flare for a moment. Not much air flow, some stagnant water, grime, debris, and the scent of those two gunsels. Though something different about them. Something... familiar on some level.
He extends a hand behind him even as those blades whisper back into his frorearms with a barely audible /shnakt./ He says low in a tone meant only for Pryde. "Somethin' is off about her. And these guys." He glances back at Kitty, at her hand, cocks an eyebrow. Then he rolls his eyes and shakes his head but holds up a hand as if to tell her to hold back slightly, shifting to a silence that is familiar to the both of them. He motions to one side, setting up an approach for them, then he moves.
Many couldn't function so well in silence. But Kitty and Logan have years and experience under their belt.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
The two of them are given a chance to speak and interact with each other in the dark of this poorly illuminated hallway, but a second or so after they both speak comes the first sound of things being less than safe around them.

It comes in the form of a deep and guttural growl. It sounds like what one might imagine a massive wolf would surely sound like if it were on the verge of biting into your neck in the dark. The problem with it is, its echoing in the dark, so its precise location is challenging to pin point, even with all the added benefits of heightened smell and hearing.

Its the telltale sign of trouble though, and it strikes only seconds later, and it strikes... for Kitty! One of the creatures emerges from a shadowy corner, its massive, probably seven feet in height... fur, claws and fangs, and its attempting to grab the girl and take her back into the dark with it!

The second strike comes for Logan, similarly from the dark, but in a way that likely gives Logan a split second of advanced notice due to his very experienced years of fighting things somewhat like these foes!

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty's feet move with practiced stealth to shift over to the position Logan indicated. She wishes she had tabi instead of boots right now, but then she most always chooses boots with souls that will muffle her steps for moments like this.

The sudden rush from the dark is met by... nothing, from Kitty. She lets the beast grab at her when she sees the fingered paws extending not to slice but to grab. The young woman's much lighter body is yanked off the ground and pulled forward by the furry monstrosity, only to find that once he's given her momentum, his furry paws suddenly are just grasping air and Kitty passes through his body like a ghost.

The moment she's behind him, Kitty plants a foot and channels her strength into a stomp at the hind leg of the wolf-creature, aiming right where the bones will be weakest and she can break its leg if she hits well.

Wolverine has posed:
One way to deal with a creature much larger than you, is you get in close on them. The monster roars and snarls as it goes for him with its massive claws, reaching with its large arms as it tries to get a hold of him to rip and tear and bring him into its fanged maw. Usually the prey takes this moment to shriek, to flee, to reel in terror and try to get away from the deadly dagger teeth and talons...
Only the man he chose to stalk doesn't turn away at all, he turns towards it and with a look of such utter feral rage, the prey leaps right into the arms of the werewolf creature. Roaring loudly in a shout of utter livid anger, Logan /slams/ his hands into its chest and then there's that /SNIKT!/ sound as the claws extend right there as he yells with the force of the impact.
And then Logan steps back, arms slashing open and wide, trailing fur and blood as he tries to open the creature's rib cage wide as if exposing its innards like some freshly gutted fish.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
By all rights these two are not exactly trained killers. They've been Lycans for little over a year and they've grown confident in their altered forms, but they're still trainees in the army that is building in the underworld of Gotham City. They're considered recruitment members, out there to set social connections, create ties and find people who are young, hopefully with mutations or meta-human-enhancements to draw them into the fold and the brotherhood that is offered by the Lycan leaders.

The Lycan that grabs at Kitty didn't wish to harm her, he wanted to subdue her and capture her, to use her to bait their other tracker, the female who vanished. So when Kitty was first grabbed, it roared in success but then cut short its shout as it felt her 'ghost' through his arms. She is an experienced fighter and he is not, her re-appearance on his flank--and her subsequent attack leaves his leg injured and the Lycan stumbles out into the red-tinted hallway, once more roaring--but now in pain!

--

Their plan had been to eliminate Logan and capture Kitty, she was the perceived 'weak' one of the two. Thusly the Lycan that has set upon Logan has set upon him with the intent of not capturing, but killing him. Little was he prepared for WHO, Logan, is, though.

The actions from the Wolverine are surprising, very surprising, the Lycan had started to try to tear into Logan's flesh with its own deadly claws, but Wolverine's thrusting fists and plunging claws puncture its body and cause it to roar in pain and terror. But its still a powerful creature and its massive gaping maw lunges forward to try to wrap its teeth around Logan's neck and left shoulder!

With Logan's claws embedded in its chest, it has little time to live, but with its dying strength it tries to rip and tear at the Wolverine wildly! Shaking its head like an angry dog with its favorite toy!

Shadowcat has posed:
The sickening sound of bone snapping would have caused 13-year-old Kitty Pryde to wince. The older, experienced version doesn't react to the sound, and gives the injured Lycan no time to recover as it stumbles out into the passageway.

Kitty sprints forward after it, picking up speed and then jumping to plant one foot on his torso and use it to gain extra power as she swings a foot towards his face roundhouse, right overtop the muzzle.

Her entire body is put into the follow through of the ninjutsu kick, aiming to hit the creature as hard as she can, hoping between the blow to the head, and the injury to its leg, to topple the great beast onto its back across the rails of the darkened subway tunnel.

Wolverine has posed:
The fangs sink deep and there is a /reeending/ of flesh as the Werewolf rears its head back spilling a gory splatter of blood upon the ground as it manages to gnarl and worry at the ragged flesh it gains from the Wolverine. But it pays the price for its last meal, as Logan dives into it, stabbing and stabbing over and over with one claw holding it in place upon the ground while the other moves with a vicious abandon.
It's only once the creature stops moving that he spins away, trailing blood down the bitemark of his shoulder, turning to face Kitty and her attacker and growling the while even as she's putting it down with her own training.
He stalks forwards, making sure to cover her, but not getting in the line of her attacks. At least not yet.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
The two of them both had done a very good job, all things considered, if they'd be average citizens like these Lycans had thought then they'd likely be torn to shreds and a captured victim by now...

But no, the two of them stand triumphant over the dead Lycan and the injured one that Kitty is aiming to turn the tables on, so to speak.

The doorway to the main subway station is suddenly filled with the BOOMING presence of a subway train! Its powerful and all-present form rocks the corridor that the four of them occupy for at least thirty seconds before it vanishes again.

And across the train tunnel is the presence of that woman once more. She's staring right into the corridor that they're in and she's marching toward them. In her right hand? Is Logan's jacket.

Selene walks into the hallway, passing beneath the blood red light that flows over her body and she tosses Logan's jacket to him, then raises her handgun in left hand and aims it at the Lycan Kitty had disabled.

And she fires twice! *POP POP* The woman's gun discharges into the creature's face.

Shadowcat has posed:
After the kick, Kitty lands deftly on her feet and spins to get her legs clear of the creature's claws. She's just reaching for its head, planning to phase it into the ground when she hears the sound of gunfire. Blood splatters from the wolf-monster's face, splashes of it landing on Kitty's cheek and neck.

She lets go of the beast and stands up fully. "Was going to try to make him remove the furry suit and answer some questions," Kitty says as she turns to look over towards Selene. Kitty phases for the moment while Selene has the guns out, and turns to look towards Logan. He's on his feet. Can't be that bad then despite the blood.

"Who are you?" Kitty asks Selene, her eyes swinging back to the stunning, blue-eyed woman. "And what's the deal with these things?" she asks, aiming a small kick at one of the bodies.

Wolverine has posed:
Catching the jacket and still with a torn open shoulder, Logan growls in that deep voice that's still recovering from the guttural roars from a few moments ago. "Nice timin'."
But the Wolverine frowns marginally, stepping forwards and a little to the side, instinctively interposing himself between Kitty and Selene, even as he eyes the pale woman. He glances sidelong at the fallen creatures, then back towards her with a raised eyebrow as he murmurs, "Yer hunt?" He asks, recognizing perhaps this as having been her target, but then he tilts his head towards Kitty...
And folds his arms over his chest, trusting her to take point on the conversation and get to the bottom of things.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene's gun is tucked back into her jacket at her right breast level. She steps over the deadened body of the Lycan that she'd just shot. What Kitty is prone to noticing, due to her technically-inclined mind, is that the fluid leaking out of the Lycan is not entirely blood. There's a glint of silver in the blood, whatever bullet Selene just fired into that thing, wasn't your average round of ammunition.

A look is given to Logan, by Selene, as she passes him by while he remains protectively between her and Kitty, she doesn't seem terribly interested in harming either of them as she's moving to the Lycan that Logan downed now.

"You can't kill them simply by... normal means." Selene finally speaks, her voice is on another level of husky and honied with a mixed European accent. The woman in black crouches, her trench coat flares around her backside as she straddles over the Lycan that Logan impaled.

Her right hand raises, a silver spike whirls up into her palm and her pale fingers wrap tightly around it... then she plunges it down into the beasts eye. Suddenly the Lycan starts to scream again, the poisonous metal counter-acting its healing abilities, reversing them and truly ending its existence on this Earth.

And then, Selene raises up again and turns to the two of them. "My name is Selene." She says, calm and collected. "These 'things' are the bane of my people. These two in particular killed one of mine tonight... and they know nothing that I don't already know." After a short pause she stares at the both of them in the dim red light within the tunnel. "You're both unharmed?" She can see the blood on Logan, but he seems... well enough?

Shadowcat has posed:
One of Kitty's eyebrows goes up at hearing that normal means are not sufficient to kill them. Noting the extra fluid, Kitty leans down to touch it briefly with just the tip of a finger, suspecting it to be silver nitrate or something like that after seeing Selene's spike that she is getting ready to use. When there's no obvious reach to touching the fluid, Kitty slips her hand inside the Lycan's head, removing one of bullet but leaving the other. The bullet goes into a pocket for later analysis.

Kitty straightens from her task about the same time Selene has dispatched fully the other Lycan. "Sorry about your loss," Kitty tells the woman. "I'm not harmed. Just some blood spatter," Kitty says, feeling it on her cheek but not taking the time to try to clean it up yet. "Is there any danger to having been hurt by them? There's all sorts of legends out there about werewolves. Silver. Infectious. Any of those we need to worry about?" she asks. Not letting on Logan's body would probably heal any problem first even if there was.

Wolverine has posed:
Jacket over the gore of his shoulder, Logan folds his arms across his broad chest, blood-slickened t-shirt torn from the quick brawl and claw. He tilts his head to the side to consider the injury, but then looks back towards the pale woman in the trenchcoat and tells her with that level rumble, "Stings a bit."
Though, to be fair, he's probably lying.
The gravel under foot crunches faintly as he shifts his weight to the side and turns to observe the fallen creatures, nudging one with the toe of his boot now that Selene's efforts have made sure it's passed on to its final reward. He shakes his head and murmurs over his shoulder, probably to Kitty. "Did you know there were vampires in Gotham?" He asks her, then glances at Selene as if rather sure that's what she is. "Kinda fittin' if ya ask me."

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
After the Lycan at her feet finishes its wailing and protesting to the silver spike stuffed into its eye socket, Selene sweeps down into a crouch again to retrieve the weapon with a wet suction-y expulsion of gore and gunk from the creature's face. She flicks the remainder off of the silver spike and then slides it back into the wrap on her wrist inside the cuff of her leather jacket while her eyes are on that of Kitty and Logan.

Logan's gruff and concise rundown of his injuries get a short stare from the woman with the black hair, and then her eyes are moving toward Kitty. "There are many kinds of Werewolves in this world." She replies. "This breed hail from my homeland, in Hungary. Their inflicted wounds will burn and feel infected, if not properly treated they can lead to death, or worse." What could be worse than death?

"I'm here to rid them of their presence in your country, I'm sorry you've had to get involved even this far." Selene starts to walk again, moving past them once more and once more toward that red lit doorway back into the subway tunnel where another train is approaching. She leans out to peer at its headlights as it draws closer, then leans backward and looks once more to them.

"They're gathering tonight." She tells them. "Its an induction ceremony. They're admitting a large number of new recruits into their fold..." She pauses for just a second as the train grows closer. "There's going to be a large battle tonight. I would suggest that you head back for the station and back to your lives above."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde looks back to Logan, an eyebrow going up at the mention of vampires. "Kind of. Though honestly I think these things are more Gotham's style," Kitty says, giving the dead Lycan another kick. But more for emphasis than with emotion.

Kitty walks over nearer to Selene as she checks the subway tunnel. "If they are gathering and recruiting, then that makes them something we need to know more about," Kitty says to Selene. She lifts a hand to give a little wave as she says, "And, that's not meant as any insult to your skill. You'd feel the same way if this was in your home, I wager. And if something did happen to you, I don't like the thought of these things having their numbers grow without anyone like us being there as backup," Kitty says.

She glances over to Logan for his thoughts, but it doesn't stop her from reaching out a hand towards Selene. "You can call me Kitty," she says, offering the hand as if offering a partnership in this.

Wolverine has posed:
In the Pryde and Wolverine equation, Kitty takes point when it comes to meet and greets, at least when it comes to people that they want to possibly cultivate as contacts. And in the past she's proven that she can handle this side of things. But the way Logan looks, his head tilting slightly to the side and his features twisting subtly, it's clear that he doesn't like it for some reason.
For now, however, he leans forwards and turns his head to spit a gob of blood onto the ground before looking back at the others. "I hate ta say it, but we should let the pointy-ear mouse guy know what's goin' down." He wipes a forearm over his mouth, smearing a bit of that blood and then scowling.
He cocks an eyebrow as he looks between the two of them, "Either of you know someone we might be able ta call about that?" He asks, as if he didn't know at least part of the answer.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
After the two speak, the train arrives and as it arrives, Selene leans forward to place her left hand on the door frame of the brick doorway, the subway train rushes past at tremendous speed and it causes her hair to wave wildly around her head and face, through it though, she looks to the both of them, just stares at them as the train rolls by, unable to reply until its gone.

Once its gone, she leans back again and releases a light exhale, her right hand extends toward Kitty, she'll shake it, she's a cultured woman even if first impressions suggest otherwise. "You're speaking of the Bat." Selene says firstly to Logan. "I've seen him before. I've been in this region for a little over a year, it seems his plate is quite full already, so to speak."

A heavy exhale escape the pale skinned woman and she starts out into the tunnel. "I would highly recommend you return to where you were headed originally. You're clearly capable combatants, but this is an old war, one not for the feint of heart." She's grown more than a little unfavorable of people from the 'above world'. Not to say that it doesn't suffer from its own woes, but she considers them to be on a different scale.

"If you can find the Bat. I would speak to him. But, I've little time to search him out myself." She says back to them as she moves on ahead into the darkness.

Shadowcat has posed:
The rumble of the subway train calls a halt to conversation for the moment. Poor little Billy Wagner peers out the window while he's on his way to piano lessons. He hates playing to have the piano and would rather be just about anywhere. He has his nose pressed to the glass window, despite knowing there's nothing to see in the underground tunnels. Or is there!? "Hey mom! There's poeple and dead werewolves over there!" he exclaims.

"Billy Joseph Wagner. You stop goofing around and start thinking about that Brahms piece you're supposed to play at the recital!" his mother replies, the train continuing along and taking poor Billy towards piano recital doom.

Kitty glances over to Logan at the question once the train has passed, and she gives a little shrug to it as she says, "I should be able to get word to him." Kitty glances over to Logan and before he can say anything, she shrugs again and says. "I know a guy." Kitty looks back over to Selene, following. "And how do we get word to you? For that matter, a name wouldn't be remiss," Kitty imparts. "Appreciate you wanting to keep us out of it. But these are our people at risk if something goes wrong."

Wolverine has posed:
For now Logan keeps his counsel. He's just watching Selene, keeping an eye on her warily. At times he'll taste the air and gauge the situation, but no words are given voice. He instead shifts to the side and starts to clear some of the corpses out of the way, just in case some other kid might get the bright idea to come over and take a gander.
It's only once he's back after having dragged the bodies out of the way that he says, "C'mon, kid." He takes up a place beside her and meets Selene's gaze again. "If needs be we can find her again." Kitty might know he means he's got her scent and they can track her.
    Selene though, she can wonder.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Against her butter judgment she steps in her tracks, in the middle of the tracks, actually and she looks back to them again. Beyond her there are more people gathering, figures up ahead, they're walking toward them. Selene doesn't seem concerned about this, because she knows its her people, its her army, the Death Dealers of the New World Coven.

"I'll be here again tomorrow, at this time. Back at the train platform." She tells both Kitty and Logan, though Kitty more specifically since she seems far more engaged in all of this than the gruffy and huffy man with the metal claws did... that certainly had intrigued her though, he's precisely the kind of man that these Lycans are trying to recruit...

"If you're here tomorrow with information, we can see what happens next." Selene says once more before she turns again to go meet with her people. She'd already given her first name, which seems to be enough from her for now.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty accepts that, saying, "I'll see if I can get word through. Even if not," she looks over to Logan. "We might be able to help on our own, even if this isn't our primary turf." Kitty looks back to Selene then, eyeing the people who are coming.

Kitty turns back to Logan and eyes his shoulder. "I'd suggest we hoof it down to the next station, but lets get somewhere better to get cleaned up" she tells Logan. The last station likely has police and EMTs having shown up by now, no doubt. And both are in need of some less bloody clothing. She glances up at the ceiling, which is always an exit possibility when Kitty is there and they are underground. "I look forward to seeing you again, Selene," Kitty offers, taking hold of Logan and then appearing to run up invisible stairs, up into the ceiling and disappearing with Logan.
