Batfamily Reunion
Date of Scene: 31 March 2019
Location: Library - Wayne Manor
Synopsis: The four sons of Bruce Wayne, plus Barbara and Kitty, gather to discuss the latest happenings
Cast of Characters: Red Hood, Oracle, Nightwing, Shadowcat, Robin (Wayne), Red Robin

Red Hood has posed:
So someone mark this down in the calendar. Because it's rare that Jason Todd would be the one to call a family meeting. Especially one that uses the Manor. And doesn't involve pizzas - because well, three of the four people here have gotten their fair share of Titan pizza nights. However, he /did/ convince Alfred to set out sandwiches and drinks for the arriving guests.

Having taken over the Library, he's dressed in his more causal outfit. A Rage Against the Machine t-shirt. Jacket, blue jeans. He at least took off his cap indoors. He's set up a whiteboard and is preparing to write down notes on it as he gives a few paces back and forth.

Oracle has posed:
It is entirely likely that had any other person invited her, Babs wouldn't have left the clocktower. Jason calling a meeting? Curiosity alone is enough to draw her out of seclusion and back to the manor, wearing a low cut black tank-top and black leggings with boots. Her red hair is pulled back into a long ponytail and her glasses rest just on the bridge of her nose as she enters. Before adjourning to the library she stops in to give Alfred a hug and pick up a sandwich and drink, then makes her way to where the loyal butler indicates Jason is waiting, "Are you about to announce you're engaged? I don't think I can handle that, Jason."

Nightwing has posed:
Since the LAST meeting here, Dick has been "roughing it" here at the stately Wayne Manor, in his old bedroom, not having left for some time. He was going to stay here until Bruce returned with Damian. Or at least assurances that Damian, whereever he might be, is well and in good hands. It was also a good means to be in touch should Jason need assistance, since Dick had heard about phasing people and something called the All-Caste, which all sounded very strange, very dangerous, and very, very Jason. And this is what older brothers do. They fret. They worry. They keep themselves up day and night, just waiting and wondering. Waiting for the call.

Now, it seems that the call came. Just... thankfully, not the one he was expecting.

"He's met a very sweet and beautiful Jewish girl. I can only hope that he's getting engaged," Dick's voice, smooth and warm like molten honey dripping from his lips calls out as he rounds the doorway and steps inside. Dick, for his part, looks like Dick on a casual day. His raven hair is brushed back into a stylishy messy side-part style. A white Oxford style shirt is worn with the sleeves rolled up about his elbows, and the cuffs arranged to flare out around the rolling. A slim fitting black sweater, with a blue V-neck collar is worn over the shirt, accentuating the lithesome nature of his physique. A pair of faded jeans hangs onto his hips by virtue of a black leather belt with a silver buckle, and a pair of black Chucks covers his feet.

Dick stops just inside the door, hands shoved deep into the pockets of his jeans, and his shoulders hunched up at the sides of his neck as he casts arctic blue eyes on Barbara and draws in a deep, sharp breath between his teeth. He holds it there for a long moment, before finally releasing it, and says, "You're... looking good, Babs."

Right. Looking away from Barbara, Dick turns his attention on to Jason, and tries to relax a bit. Crossing the floor towards the younger man, Dick looks like he's about to reach out to him when he nears his proximity. His hands slide out of his pockets, and lift for a moment, but then Dick stops and just asks, "And you, Jay? You alright? Do you... need help?"

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty was too late to hear the comment from Dick, thankfully spared a blushing session by the timing of her arrival down the stairs. She's wearing a dark grey sweater and jeans, with soft-heeled boots sticking out from beneath the denim leggings. Her hair is pulled back in a pony-tail and she is looking bright-eyed, if also tiny notes of nervousness as she is going to be around so many of the family at once for the first time.

Kitty enters the room and gives everyone a warm smile and lifts her hand to wave hello. "Afternoon," she greets everyone generally, before getting more specific. "Barbara, really great to see you again. Been looking forward to talking again." She looks to Dick and smiles to the man, saying, "And nice to see you as well. I've been hoping to catch the both of you, something I wanted to talk about. With Damian too," she adds.

She moves over to a chair near to where Jason is at the whiteboard, reaching over to brush her fingers along his back for a moment in a fond touch. "Damian going to make it too?" she asks him before moving to take the aforementioned seat.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Bruce has done what he had set out to do, find Damian and talk. Although it was a good talk, Damian had been convinced to come back to the mansion.

He opted to come back after one last night, to thank Dragon for allowing him to stay, and to also make sure he would come back for training.

Damian stepped down the stairs, wearing a black turtleneck and black slacks. Looking like he opened up a Bruce Wayne Jr. Halloween costume.

The question of his mantle was still up in the air, but Damian was at least home, and a bit more at peace with himself.

Once he enters in the library, he doesn't change his demeanor like he once did. He was simply Damian Wayne. No cover.

Red Hood has posed:
When Barbara is the first to arrive, Jason can't help but to smile. The two may never have been as close as she was to some of the others, but he shares a special kinship with the other person in the family that was traumatized the most by the Joker. "Not breaking your heart today, Babs." he promises with a wink towards the redhead as he shakes his head. "Just a lot of ground to cover, and this was the only way I figured I can cover it short of going after you one at a time. But you ever try herding cats? Bats are way worse." his tone is one of warmth, but carries the slight edge of seriousness.

Then when Dick enters, Jason seems to cool by degrees. "I'm fine." he grunts simply as he gestures to a chair. "I won't keep you long, and you can get back to all that other stuff you have going on." he responds, turning away from Nightwing as he heads for the whiteboard. There may have been just the slightest chuff of breath as he glances over to catch Barbara's reaction to Dick's presence, but it's quickly stowed to deal with the much larger problems. "But since you're here, you need to have a talk to your buddies over at the Big T. Seems that one of them has taken it upon himself to go speeding around the city 'doing good'. You know what happens when the capes start showing up around here - we end up getting their other friends too." The villain side of it. "Make sure that Skippy, Zippy, whatever he's calling himself these days gets the message." At the top of the board, he writes 'Skippy' since he has no idea what Impulse is calling himself and to the side, he writes Flash Jr.?.

"Hey, Kitty." Jason greets the woman as she comes down, a smile touching his lips for a moment as Kitty passes by, and he graces her with a quick kiss to the side of her mouth. "Apparently, the odds are this is our engagement announcement." And yes, the girl is wearing a ring on her left hand. "Damian should be here in a moment - you can bring up what you need to talk about here, if you want?" comes the suggestion to the woman as he turns to the white board and writes Kitty Speaks. See, she's officially on the docket now, right? "You know, I halfway expect to look up and see that Damian was on top of the bookshelves the whole time and brooding at us. But yes, he seems to be back from his break. If he wants to talk about it, he can. I'm not going to make him." There's a nod when Damian enters on cue. "Thanks Damian." he greets the youngest Wayne, before he draws in his breath.

"Starting from the top. This is a chance for us to exchange information that we may not feel comfortable sharing on the boards or in public. So, here goes. Before I get into what happened a few nights ago with what happened at Los Pollos.." a glance towards Kitty, before he eyes fall back to thr group. "Joker's back. And something is /wrong/ with him. And not in the usual we know he's not right and insane way. He didn't recognized Harley. Thought a model of her was the real thing and Bats had changed her. He didn't recognize me. He seems more gaunt. I don't know what it is. I plan to find one of Arkham's doctors that treated him and try to find out. But if he's as sick as he seemed the other night - we may need to get ready for him to be more dangerous than he's ever been."

Oracle has posed:
Babs is smiling at Jason and crossing the library to give him a side hug when Dick makes his grand entrance. She still gives that hug, but she does so with her gaze on the eldest brother, "Dick. You look the same." Then Kitty has arrived and the lone sister's smile returns, "Kitty, it's good to see you too.." After the ring is noted, Babs looks between Kitty and Jason curiously until he confirms her suspicions, "huh... well that was just a guess." Motioning around as if to indicate her previous statement about getting married.

There's business to talk, however.

"Do you mean Kid Flash or is there another speedster?" She'd obviously read about them coming to Gotham and the strain it put on the GCPD trying to hold all those criminals. The logistics of it all was a nightmare and her father was less than pleased, even if he appreciated the assist publically. "Has anyone talked to the Flash?" She doesn't know him as well as, likely, anyone else in the room.

"Come again?" This time about the Joker. "I'll do some digging into Arkham's medical files and see if they have any information stored away.. If he's sick, they'll have it on record. How long has he been out? I thought he just got locked back up a week ago?" Not that that matters in the slightest.

Nightwing has posed:
As Kitty steps in, Dick twists his upper body and neck to look back over his shoulder at her arrival. Instantly, he flashes that high beam smile, and gives the mutant girl a friendly upnod of greeting, before commenting, "And speak of the devil... Good to see you again, Kitty."

He looks like he's abotu to say more, an inquisitive expression marking his features with a curious scowl. His lips part as he draws in a breath to speak, and then... And then... He sees Damian.

Any question about what Kitty was wanting to talk about is completely forgotten as Dick's eyes alight like someone who was just given the gift of a puppy. With an uncanny swiftness, the Flying Grayson makes his way back towards the door, even parkour rolling over the corner of one of the library tables in the way and nimbly landing just in front of the Mini-Bruce so that he can entangle the young man up in his arms and even lift him off of his feet in a super tight hug.

"Grumpy Cat," He says, just squeezing Damian to his chest and pressing his face down into the boy's hair for just a moment before easing Damian back down onto his feet. Stepping back he rests his hands on Damian's shoulders. "I missed you. Glad to have you back. Next time you decide to run off, remember that I need you. I can't teach Carrie everything on my own, little man. I need you to make her a better fighter."

He gives Damian a wink, before shifting to his side, and leaving one hand on his shoulder just long enough to give a reassuring squeeze.

Turning his attention back on to Jason, Dick raises a brow when Jason mentions that he won't keep him long. He shakes his head slightly to indicate that it's not an issue before Jason speaks to him about Speedsters in Gotham. "That's... Impulse, I think his name is? With you doing your thing, Bruce out with Damian, and all... Tim suggested we have some Titans come in and help cushion patrol duty. Now that everyone's back, we can clear them back out. It's not like dad's going to just let them come wandering through as they please. You know how it is."

There's a look to Barbara, though. Trepidation written in his eyes as he tries to piece together whatever she meant by him looking the same. Thin, dark brows furrow, creasing his forehead, and casting those summer sky eyes in shadows. His arms fold over his chest, and his spine straightens to a point of rigidity. Why does he feel his gut wrenched in a twisting knot, and his throat feels like a lump of dry leaves has manifested there all of a sudden.

Thankfully, though, Jason has other grim news to share that can take Dick's mind off of Babs's seeming cold shoulder, though. He looks back to Jason, and his soft, pliant lips become a bloodless, thin line.

"He's disassociating," Dick comments quietly. "If he's falling into a delusional break, there's no telling what it is that he might do. But... His people will know that something's wrong. Even for him. I'll go lean on some of them a little bit. See if I can get a story."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty smiles over to Damian as he comes in, giving him a wave of greeting. She leans back in her chair then, crossing her denim-clad legs as Jason starts in. When he gets to the part about her speaking, she nods to him and says, "Sure, just let me know when's the right moment," she tells Jason. She does get a faint smile at the thought it's an engagement announcement. There is a ring on a finger, but it's the wrong hand for an engagement ring and the ring itself looks more suitable as a promise ring or something along those lines. The ring does have a patina of age to it, not something bought recently from a jeweler from the looks of it.

The ring: 729ed1beef33ed7e545b48504543ef08.jpg

Kitty falls silent then, lacing her fingers over her knee as she listens. The mention of the Joker causes whatever smile she had to slip away. Lips pressed together in a line that then turns into a frown at the mention thinks could get more dangerous with him now.

Barbara's mention of checking Arkham's files brings an approving nod from Kitty, as if her mind immediately leaped that same direction too. "Worth seeing what medications he might have been on as well. If it's anything he would still be taking, might be a way to get a line on him now that he's out," Kitty suggests.

She eyes the greeting of the two brothers with a soft grin, but keeps it small in case Damian isn't appreciative of the big hug in front of everyone else.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian is swiftly lifted into Dick's arms, and while he used to fight such contact, he reciprocates this time, giving his eldest brother a hug.

"We do not have a speedster on the Titans." Damian adds in, looking to the Flash Jr. on the whiteboard. "Last thing we need in Gotham are Central City rogues thinking they can set up shop in Gotham."

Red Hood has posed:
Returning Barbara's hug, Jason gives her a quick extra squeeze before letting her go and shakes his head. "Wasn't no more than a couple of nights ago, Barbara. Don't know if they got a clone, a mock up, or just the revolving door at Arkham is /just that bad/ now." he responds with a roll of his eyes. "It was him. His clowns had the same MO, and he's the only criminal I know that would off his own henchmen to make a point in the middle of a caper. And I just know." And he's going to leave it at that, because Jason doesn't feel like taking that trip down memory lane just yet. "Thanks for picking up on this one, Barbie. If you can get in the computers, see what you can find out. Sometimes the electronic trail can say more than some doctor possibly on the take can. And Kitty's right, though I'm not sure he goes to Rite-Aid to get his perscriptions refilled."

"If he's faling off the deep end, he's probably got some plan to take all of Gotham and us with him. And it doesn't matter what all we're doing. The help wasn't asked for. And it's already been thanked, but I'm hearing that this.. Impulse, you said his name was - is stil showing up around him. Bruce gave me permission to return the favor. I did. Took Trickster off the streets of Central City for a few weeks. Hopefully Flash gets the message." There's a thin pull of his lips. It was nice to do that. Really.

"So. Other part. Back when I was dead..." Jason settles into the chair, eyeing his sandwich thoughtfully. "Not really dead. I mean, I still was. But I was free from the grave and rampaging, Bruce thought the best way to help me was to throw me into Arkham." he shrugs his shoulders. "Can't fault him for that. I was what, a fifteen and a half year old soulless killing machine? Water under the bridge. It wasn't Bruce that helped me. It wasn't Arkham. It was Talia al Ghul." there's a glance towards Damian at that. "She's the one that got me out of Gotham. And she took me to a Lazarus Pit. That's when I got my soul back." he explains to the group. "But that didn't make me any less.. unsettled. She decided to take me someplace else. A place deep in the Himalayas. Called the Acres of All. It was there I met a group called the All-Caste, and their leader, Ducra."

Pulling out his phone, he pushes a picture to the group. "I took this back at the time."

https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/batman/images/4/4e/Ducra.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20120313230348

"If she looks old, it's because she is. She and her siblings were some of the first humans on Earth. They were exposed to a pit - and it turned them immortal. At least most of them. They gained the abilities of shadows, though not the same as shadows or smoke.. but something much more sinister, called the Untitled. The weaker their will, the easier they were to change, and make into their puppets of their own evil. Ducra, and her daughter, Essence, we're the strongest two. I always thought Essence..." he trails off for a moment, remembering another time, before shaking his head.

"Talia left me with Ducra and her All-Caste to train. It's why my skill set is different than most of yours and closer to what it is that the Demon's Head uses."

"Anyway, I graduated and all, or whatever you want to call it. For centuries, the All-Caste and Untitled were in a truce. Call it a family thing. But now? The truce is broken. I was informed that Ducra is dead. I'm taking a few people, we're heading there to find out if that's true - what the status of the Acres of All is - and to retrieve the heirloom of the All-Caste, the All Blade. I've already secured the help of Lady Lara Croft in locating the Acres, since Talia's not exactly.. keeping contact these days."

"Anyway. I doubt the Untitled will be a threat to Gotham. It's me they want, and when I got out, I expect them to follow. I'll let you know when I'm back. So. Who else has business?" he asks the group at large.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake walks in haveing either heard the last bits of the conversation or perhaps tapped into Bruce's security system to hear it and says "Zippy, is The Flash's grandson from the future, who has a bit of an impulsive way about him. I stopped him and talked to him one night, and he is trying to help. I went to chat with the Flash about it and he actually wondered if Bruce could help train him. I told him I did not see that as the best idea, I would check to see if maybe the Titan's could take him in and work with him some but I have not had a chance to work on that yet." He looks over to Damian, and says "Now htat Damian is back, think you want to take it over since the Titans are yours?" He asks, letting the younger man know he still plans on him being the leader there not himself.

Oracle has posed:
"If he's out of Arkham, you can bet he's not taking medicine." Babs says with a little frown, shaking her head at the notion Joker would take care of himself. "If he's sick, or worse dying, he's going try and bring us all down with him. The faster we find him and stop him the better it is for everyone... including him." That last part actually makes her feel sick to her stomach, glancing at Todd with a hand laid upon her abdomen to try and settle it.

Babs loosk to Dick as well, nodding firmly, "Good idea. Maybe Harley? He might not recognize her, but she might know something. She's trying to play it straight, at least that's what Pam said, and might be willing to help us if it meant getting Joker back where there's doctors to see after him?" Looking between the brothers and Kitty thoughtfully.

Even more news?

Babs fixes Jason with a furrow browed stare, then down at her lap with her expression still twisted. "I'm not sure how comfortable I am with you leaving, but I didn't hear a question in there so I suppose it's like everything else; we're being told rather than consulted. At least we are being told." She only sounds a little bitter.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty stays quiet during the talk of the Flashes. Flashers? Ok, probably Flashes. The mention of Harley Quinn brings Kitty out of her silence. "Since he went after this model who was dressed as Harley Quinn... that also might be another way to lure him out," she offers quietly.

Kitty falls silent again during Jason's run down of his past and what is happening with the All-Caste, resting with her fingers laced over her knee. The muscles of her face tighten once or twice as the evil of the Untitled is mentioned, but she continues to just listen until he's finished giving them that update.

"I'm going to go along with Jason to try to help," Kitty says after Jason finishes. She looks around at the assembled siblings. "I imagine word might have gotten around, already, but even if so, I owe it to you all to do this personally. I gradually became aware of your identities over time. Including Mr. Wayne. Well, everyone but Tim actually," Kitty says, looking over to him and giving him a quick smile.

Kitty looks back to the rest, looking each person in the eye. "I talked to Mr. Wayne. He's ok with me and is even going to take me on for training. But as far as you all go? I'd never reveal anything about you. And I think I owe you trusting you with some things about myself. First, if you weren't aware, I'm a mutant. I can phase my body through solid matter. Also can do the same for anyone else I'm touching. Or for objects. Wreaks havoc on electronics when I pass through something like that," she tells them.

Kitty adds, "And, I'm part of a super hero team. I have been for 7 years now, since I was 13. This kind of life is not at all new to me. I've been through a lot of weird stuff, as Jason has been finding out." She looks over to him, giving Jason a thankful smile as if glad that he's not bailed on her yet for that. "I'm sorry you didn't get to choose to trust me in this, about your identities. But I hope you find I can be trusted, in time if not already," she says.

Nightwing has posed:
Okay. Joker going off the rails. Check. Speedster Flash Jr. Jr. trying to make a mark on Gotham. Check. Jason's mysterious League of Assassins buddies and their mystic mumbo jumbo immortality war thing. What?

"Jason... That sounds like some heavy stuff," Dick says, his frown seeming to be etched onto his face permanently at this point. "Maybe some of us should go with you. I'm sure that between Barbara and Bruce, the Joker can be handled, and this Flash Kid thing is an issue that's already looking to be settled on its own. So... I can come with you. Carrie can handle herself on her own for a few days, and she'll have Tim and Damian to rely on if she needs help."

Dick flashes another look at Barbara, and gives a faint nod of his head. "Harley might be a good person to talk to, but she might be a bit out of the loop. It may be better to just talk to one of his current men. They'll probably know what might have set him off. Even as chaotic as Joker is, he doesn't just... flip. There's a method to everything he does."

His expression softens, as he looks at Barbara's hand on her stomach, and then to Jay. And then back to Barbara. "Some incident had to have had an affect on him. Driven him to this point. Someone who has been with him recently will likely know what that incident was. It might also give us insight as to what he might wind up planning."

Softer, though, he adds, "But no one is going to fault you if you don't get involved in this one, either."

Dick looks then to Kitty and just nods his head. He was not, in fact, thrilled when his identity was sort of automatically outted, but he has a good feeling about her, at least.

Red Hood has posed:
"Awww, Babs. I know you don't like long trips. Or I'd take you along. But don't worry, you'll always be my little earworm." Jason reaches up to tap his ear. You know, until he decides that he doesn't want Babara to know what he's up to. "But I promise, you'll be the first I call when I'm back in Gotham." There's a swift smile for the redhead, then his attention swivels to Kitty.

"For what it's worth, totally Carrie's fault." Jason says about Kitty finding out about Dick. Even if it might have been a tiny bit Jason's fault. "I have someone to fill in for me, and I'm taking Damian." he responds to Dick, a glance over to the youngest Wayne. "You all are always telling me to work with him - so I'm doing it." he shrugs his shoulders. "This involves something his mother did for me, I'm returning the favor. I think you can appreciate that, eh?" he asks.

"Also. Arsenal is hanging around Gotham. He's better.. much better than he used to be. I need someone to keep an eye on him though." He looks to Dick pointedly at that. He was there for Roy Harper's downfall. The help there would be appreciated. Then his attention drifts back to the group at large. "There's also Galina. She's the Russian with the power armor. She's defecting - I have a feeling that the Russians wanted her dead before she ever got here. She's been taking some of her things to SHIELD. They can do a better job protecting her than we can. And again, don't need to start inviting the Russians to invade."

Which.. brings up something else that Jason had forgotten. Reaching over for a quick grip of Kitty's hand, Jason releases it. "Kitty's not the first mutant we've had among us. And we all saw what happened with the Sentinels that were in town. I'm going to push Bruce to try to push for something to keep those tin cans from patrolling /our/ skies. I know, this is totally a personal thing, but in this case, I'm willing to take it personal this time. Kitty, I took parts from that Sentinel your friend took down at the docks to Barbara to take a look at. If you can share any information you have with her - trust me, there are few in the business better than her."

See, if he distracts Barbara with helping with the Sentinels, and complimenting her, and you know. All that stuff that's in her wheelhouse? She can't get //too// mad at him bailing out to go on a personal quest right? Keep everyone else busy, and he can sneak off. It's a totally valid plan!

However, to Dick, Jason responds, "Family business first. Then I'll be back.." his hand curls into a fist on the table. He doesn't need to hold anyone gaze. "I let him walk once. Next time..." he trails off. Everyone in this room knows exactly what Jason's end game is. Joker will die. Or Jason will die. There's no real middle ground that he's willing to give on that.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
"He would have to pass the entrance test, before we would consider adding him as a probationary member. The Titans have a test potential members have to pass." Damian adds in, looking to Tim.

The news of the All-Caste and the Acres of All have Damian intrigued, if only for the mention of Talia and the Demon's Head. He balls up his fist, his maternal family was never the best subject for him. He had a love hate relationship with it all. Along with the added insult to injury of having been outed to Kitty. He certainly didn't mind her, but he hated not having the choice to reveal himself on his time. Even many Titans did not know Damian's true identity.

"Harleen Quinzel is nothing if not two things: A gifted mind, and hopelessly devoted to The Joker. She could be reasoned with if it would help that maniac."

Damian gives a look to Dick, like Damian wasn't able to do this himself. But then when Jason says that he is taking Damian, his head turns just as fast to Jason. There had to be some ploy there.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake has already talked to Jason about going on the little mission and actually was a bit surprised he had not already headed out." He will look over to the group, and says "A few more things to add to the table. "Stockholm is back in town, ran into her last night, and seems she is hoping for some attention from you Babs or one of the other ladies of Gotham. I took her thugs down, but she got away. Also, from my recent trip to Apokalypse there is an undamaged parademon flightpack in the cave, I am working on disecting and seeing if we can get any information from it. I am also working on basing a team out of Gotham, but do not plan on Gotham being their primary patrol unless it is needed to back us up." Seems Tim has been busy since returning from Singapor.

Nightwing has posed:
Dick looks from Jason to Damian when Jay mentions taking Damian with him. He seems uncertain about that. Damian had just come back. And it sounds like a lot of stuff that might be heavy on the little man's plate, being so tied in with his mother's side of the family and all. But, he releases a low sigh, and just gives a nod of his head. "If Damian wants to go with you, then yeah. Just... take care of each other."

Dick's expression does change considerably, though, when Jason speaks of Roy Harper. All sort of emotion just sort of drops from it altogether, before, after a moment, he winces with one eye, his lips quirking to one side. "So... I might not be the best choice for looking out after Roy Harper. You see, he kind of... He was kinda trying to hook up with the girl I'm kinda seeing, which is totally understandable because she's kinda this super smart, brainy and gorgeous redhead, but she kinda shot him down because of me, and he kinda decided that he wasn't going to just accept that, and it might be kinda awkward."

He reaches up and massages the back of his neck, letting his face turn towards the ground. "...Yep."

Oracle has posed:
Babs sits quietly, staring at her hands twisted in her jacket for a second, then reaches up to adjust her glasses and flip her long red ponytail off her shoulder as she stands. "Let me know when you head to Arkham, Jason. I've got a backdoor encryption set up for when I want to make sure he's still there." The Joker. Of course she has a way to watch him. Everytime her back hurts or her knee tingles. "Stockholm is back." She nods to Tim and heads towards the archway that will lead her to the exit. "I know how to find her too, thanks Tim."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty gives a quick nod as Jason mentions the Sentinels and speaks of the part that Barbara has. Looking to the redhead, Kitty says, "I have a lot of information on them. Unfortunately it is mostly their Mark 1 version, rather than the upgraded models we're seeing overhead. I've been working with the Avengers and some others on digging into the technology. I have cracked their communications back to base which includes their locations and telemetry as they scan for mutants. So we have real time maps of their locations. I'll get you copies of all of it. But obviously, please coordinate before you do anything that might tip them off we have that edge on them."

Kitty smiles over to Barbara and says, "And having you on board to help would be wonderful. Your work on Jason's computer system is so impressive."

Kitty looks back to Jason next and she comments, "Well, not really Carrie's fault. One problem with being around people in costume and out, is eventually someone might hear details about both identities and put it together. Speaking of which..." Kitty looks over to Barbara. "I had commented in passing to Galina something about the computer upgrades and mentioned the redheaded girl who built the computer. Thinking she'd have met you at the station like I had. Which prompted her reply, 'Oracle has red hair?'. I'm really sorry about that, but wanted to let you know, you might want to avoid meeting her personally then unless you're ok with her knowing Oracle's face." Kitty adds, "Also, that's how I learned the name Oracle as well. Those kind of little honest mistakes by people, they add up over time," Kitty says, her expression regretful as she looks to Barbara. But she wanted to share it to keep it from being made worse.

Red Hood has posed:
"Super-smart, gorgeous, brainy redhead. No. You don't have a type, Dick Grayson." comes Jason's dry retort. There may be an apologetic glance towards Barbara. "Too bad you went for the downgrade." is added, a shake of his head. Because he's not going to go down that path if he can help it. After a snort, he looks towards Damian. "Look. Involved your mom. Might give me some insight. You can stay home if you want." he starts to say, then Tim speaks up.

There's a sigh for a moment, "You ask Bruce about the new team yet?" he asks Tim. "He gets touchy about that stuff." he points out before he chuckles. "First everyone gets partners, then everyone gets teams. Gosh, we are just like him."

"Who's Stockholm?" That's a new one to him.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake looks over and says "I hate to pile on Dick, but speaking of your love life, and secret identities, I have a question that came to mind the other night, a few of us were hanging out as Big Belly Burger, and Kory joined us. General public know she dated Dick Grayson, or Nightwing?"

Nightwing has posed:
"..." Dick just deadpans at Jason. Then gives him the fingerguns, before taking a step back towards the door. "Right. That's my queue to take off. Good talk."

    A pause.

"I'd prefer it if everyone just forgot that she dated either, at this point. She was a different person back then, and now just..." Dick replies to Tim with a shrug of his shoulders. "But it was Nightwing. Not Grayson."

He turns back to the assembled crowd, and holds his arms out to either side of himself. "So, anyone else want to kick me around about my lovelife? Or can I just go somewhere and curl up and die with a quart of Haagen-Dazs in hand and Netflix asking me if I'm still watching Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt?"

Oracle has posed:
Babs stops in the doorway to the library and looks at Dick while adjusting her glasses with the ends of her index finger and thumb, "It's good seeing you Dick." Then she too leaves, fishing her keys out of her pocket as she makes her rounds to give Alfred another hug and pick up a few sandwiches for later so she doesn't have to stop for dinner.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
"So, I get to go defend a Lazarus Pit. Haven't had to do that in a long time." Damian comments, crossing his arms. It seems he didn't mind the mission though, possibly to make up for past sins.

Damian looks a bit horrified to hear that Dick dated Starfire. "You have to be joking. You and little miss no-clothes? That is mortifying."

Red Hood has posed:
"There is one more thing. There's a dead girl living in a church in Brooklyn. She said something about the dead in Gotham. If someone would be so kind?" Jason reminds everyone. "Great meeting everyone. I'll make sure to send out minutes, and help yourself to the sandwiches and punch!" As everyone files out, Jason slumps into the chair with a glance towards Kitty. "This is me totally being leaderly. See. Doesn't work. So. What's your plans for the day?"

He glances towards Damian. "We're not defending a Lazarus Pit. I intend to destroy it."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde gets up from where she's sitting, giving Jason a pat and saying, "Ouch," as if he maybe went too far. Which also is why she moves over to Dick to offer him a quick hug. But just a brief one. "He only verbally jabs at the people he loves. The rest he uses a gun on," she consoles Dick with.

She gives him a wry grin then crosses back across the room to Jason. She rests her head against his shoulder and looks back over to Damian. "Glad to see you're back, Damian. Also, that that whole... unsure, insecure thing seems to be in the past," she comments, having noticed the change in his body language from before.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake looks over to Dick, and says "Sorry to bring it up man, just trying to figure out where need to pull the lines about Tim being seen with some of the more open heroes. Garfield, I can play off as being a fan of his sci fi work. But unless I build up the whole hero junkie persona, I need to know where I am working from.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake 's phone beeps and he looks down at it "Sorry thats the contractors, i need to take this." and heads out.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian's gaze moves from Jason to Kitty. "Thank you."

"That act was a cover." He admits to Kitty. "I'm certainly not the Damian you met post-coitus, if that's what you mean." Yep, he was confident and not at all shy. Just an introvert. "I'm sure you will have plenty of time to form an opinion of the real me while we are out in the Acres of All." Damian offers up, he will have to make sure he brings the sword of Ra's along with him, that sword had plenty of blood on it over the years.
