Cast of Characters: Superboy, Red Robin, Blink

Superboy has posed:
It is getting late in the city that never sleeps. And certainly the ESU campus does not sleep much, with finals coming and all that. But most classroom are already empty and many students are either in the library or their dorms.

Usually Conner would be there. But he is in the library. Or rather, he is -on- the library. And not studying exactly. He is wearing his red and blue outfit (with the black leather jacket on top) and serious, nay, worse: -grimly- looking into the distance. He really needs a cape to pull the grimness.

In other words, he is making a very bad imitation of Red Robin doing the serious, grim watching over the streets of Gotham. Because he knows Tim is about to arrive. Or probably has arrived already and is sneaking around ninja-like.

Clarice is also invited, but he is quite sure he will hear the 'blink' sound of the purple-head arrival.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake is here in the shadows watching Conner, waiting for the other to get here. The young man did learn how to make an intro from Batman. He will smirk a bit at Conner from his hidey hole.

Blink has posed:
**Blink**

A portal rimmed in purple energy opens over in the middle of the rooftop and Clarice steps through. She doesn't wear a mask, but has on her normal costume, even to the quiver on her belt, stocked with a small magenta javelins. She lets the portal close behind her as she walks over towards the figure standing on the edge of the building.

"I thought you had a cape," she tells him, reaching up to try to get the purple tresses of wind-blown hair back into place. It's windy up here tonight. A cape would have been perfect for the moment. "It would have been really majestic right now," she teases him as she walks over to Conner.

Superboy has posed:
Conner relaxes when the 'blink' is heard, and turns to face the young woman, a smirk in his lips. "No capes," he quotes. "They get stuck everywhere, and I like my jackets far more," he adds, running gloved hands over the battered leather.

He looks around briefly. "I know you are there, Robin. I don't think you have ever been late. It goes against the batcode, right?" Contrarily to Conner, which superspeed and all is usually late to all appointments. Today being a rare exception. And mostly because he lives right around the corner.

"If you are cold you can have the jacket, too," he tells Clarice. "This is not exactly a tropical island and Spring is coming slowly."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake smirks, and steps out of the shadows and says "You just have to make sure you do the break away set right, so if it gets caught you don't go urk." He grins a bit and says "You just think the Jacket is cooler admit it." He walks over and pats his friend on the shoulder. He looks to Blink, and says "Red Robin as your service ma'am."

Blink has posed:
Blink does have her arms about herself as she walks over to join Superboy. She has her own jacket on though she should probably get a more weather-appropriate one made. "I wouldn't turn it away," she tells him as he offers it, smiling over to the handsome young man. Clarice looks up then as Red Robin emerges from the darkness. "Oh, hello," she says, giving a little wave of her hand. "I'm afraid I'm still not very familiar with the heroes here," she tells him. A glance to Superboy is likely meant to confirm he -is- a hero at that, though the greeting sure makes it seem likely. "I'm Clarice. People also call me Blink," she says, offering her hand to Tim.

Superboy has posed:
Of course Conner thinks leather jackets are cooler. Otherwise he would be wearing a cape. It is also possible he just can't master the Batman/Magneto 'we are so cool with our capes' look. But in his defense, few can pull it.

"Damn right," he replies to Robin. Then grins to Clarice, pulling it off offering her the jacket. "Red Robin, formerly -the- Robin. Until a midget stole his name and cape. He is my best friend, too, since... well, pretty much since I remember. Bit over four years out of NOWHERE." Listen to his caps, those are important. "Blink is from Genosha. Prettiest girl in all the island, actually."

Blink has posed:
Blink flashes Red Robin a friendly smile as the introduction is made. "Well, then it's doubly nice to meet you," Blink tells him, shaking his hand if it's offered back before turning towards Superboy. The jacket is accepted with a smile of gratitude, the Asian girl slipping it on over her shoulders. "Is there something going on tonight that needs to be dealt with?" she asks, glancing down from the building for any signs of trouble in the university down below? "Or just meeting up to point the campus out to me?" she asks Conner, smiling to him as she slips her hands into the jacket pockets to warm then.

Superboy has posed:
Conner shakes his head, "not it is just you said you wanted to see the college, and Robin is pretty serious about his identity but actually better as a... well, college counselor type. He probably has four doctorates already."

He slides to the edge of the roof again, "besides, the ESU is pretty pro-mutant integration. They have a special program to address the problems of obvious super-humans and a student awareness group called Students for Tolerance."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake smirks a bit and says "Doctorates? Na, I am just taking a few classes here and there, it can be a bit harder going to classes and doing the whole cape and cowl thing but it is possible. "So, what kind of classes are you interested in taking?"

Blink has posed:
Blink smiles over to Conner and then turns to look back around the campus. "It's beautiful. I bet it's nice to be around everyone, so focused on learning," Clarice says. She's no doubt picturing a campus much like as she's seen it in this or that movie, with people lounging about between classes on the campus green.

She turns, her purple hair whipped by the wind to sometimes stream behind her, as if to make up for the lack of capes present tonight. Clarice gives a small shrug and a soft smile towards Tim. "Oh, I don't know that I'd do well at a college. I've never been to a school before. I doubt they'd even let me in," she tells him. "Plus, I have other duties to take care of. Though I'm able to to at least get around to where I want easily enough."

Superboy has posed:
"And she can get a diplomatic visa," offers Conner. "So no reason not to try if you want," he shrugs. But he was one that was very skeptic about college and he is having a good time. "This building is the library, where everyone comes to study, and usually with the laptops instead of books. But anyway. Nice place. Supposedly quiet, but if one have super-senses not so good. It is kind of full right now, finals are coming and it opens until midnight."

He points to a two-stories, more modern building a bit ahead, "that's the gym, it has a huge inside pool and all, and just beyond the art school. And do you see the tower at the other side of the street? That is an apartment building and I am in the eleventh floor."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods a bit to this and says "Being an exchange student your past credits can be a bit different than most. If your looking to get into a college here you could probably get in." He motions to Conner, and says "He got in, and he had a later start than most. If your worried about being behind when you start, I am sure we could get you some info and things to work on to get you up to American high school student within a couple weeks of work.

Blink has posed:
Blink smiles over to Red Robin at his offer. "Thank you, that is very sweet of you. But really, I don't think I would make a very good student. I'm just not smart enough for something like this," she tells him with a shake of her head, and a noticeable lack of confidence. "And besides, I work for the royal family. For Genosha. I can get time away, but I need to be there to serve Princess Lorna, to protect her and help her see to state business when she needs me," Clarice tells him.

She looks back to Conner, smiling to him and resting a hand against his back for safety as she leans out to look about the campus as he explains it all. "I imagine you like to go somewhere remote to study, where there's nothing but the wind to disturb you?" she asks him. Clarice's eyes settle on the art school. "I bet they have all sorts of beautiful things inside," she says. Conner would probably know her well enough to hear that one in her voice, and know she plans to get inside and see them at some point.

Superboy has posed:
"Hey, it is not my fault aliens destroyed my high school," protests the young man. That high school the Hawaii state authorities forced him to attend for about a month. "I got my GED diploma easy, though. And now I actually have de grades to take a scholarship." He grins at Clarice. "It is not that hard. You have done much harder things, Clare."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake smiles a bit and says "This is true, heck you probably have more college credits than me not bud." He offers the guy a bit of encouragement, and to Blink. "If you set your mind to something I am sure you could do it, and if ya decide and need help let us know and will help, and friend of his is family in my book." Explaining how close he feels towards Conner.

Blink has posed:
Blink gives the two costumed men a look of gratitude for their warm words of encouragment. "Thank you, it's really sweet of you," she tells them. "I'll be ok though, with what I'm doing. But it would be fun to come and hang out with you on campus sometime," she says. "I can dress a little more inconspicuous. Wear some glasses and a hat and all," she offers, as if used to the need for it when she's outside of Genosha. She smiles to Conner and says, "I'll have to come by and see your apartment sometime too. All the pizza boxes strewn all over and laundry needing to be done, I'm guessing," she teases. She looks back to Red Robin to say, "It's been nice meeting you. And I feel the same, if you're a friend of Conner's," Clarice tells the masked young man.
