Blackjack O'hare (7665) has posed:
Early in the morning long range sensors had detected something, a massive warp signature which didn't match anything on the books. It wasn't until the late afternoon that the source was spotted, in a high orbit above Saturn. Ten ships, which hardly fits the typical numbers you expect from an invasion fleet but they sure as hell didn't look civilian from Earth's relatively primative sensor grid. Obviously, somone needed to go check it out and see what the hell was going on right?

The fleet seemed to be careful a keeping distance content to hide mostly in Saturn's shadow. Down on Titan however, well the HF was abuzz with encoded traffic between the fleet and their ground crew. Ten dropships had gone down to the surface, including it's famous commander of course. The object of their interest, a lone fighter was scattered across the frozen wasteland of titan. A hulking mass of alien alloy, which was being attended to by a small crew. Ordinance carefully set off to one side, as thermal saws blazed into the hull.

The rest of them seem to have broken off into groups of six, and fanned out to search the immediate area. It doesn't take a pilot to recognize whats going on, crash recoveries are pretty universal in what they entail it seems. Search teams indeed, busy with the work of collecting bits and pieces, and looking for the real prize of this little trip.

Captain Marvel (Danvers) has posed:
Alpha Flight's MacKenzie Space Station was constantly monitoring for any space faring vessels or other potential threats to the Earth's vicinity. The presence of a fleet by Saturn, was certainly close enough. Certainly enough to warrant a personal visit from one Captain Marvel.

She doesn't make a stealthy approach with the bright energy signature of the streak of light she leaves in her wake as she speeds towards the fleet, before broadcasting from her communicator on a broad frequency, "this is Captain Marvel of Earth's Alpha Flight...please state your purpose, or otherwise direct me to your Commanding Officer." The tone, though demanding, is not threatening at this point. For now it's an investigation, and little more.

Blackjack O'hare (7665) has posed:
Theres a pause there, before a voice pops up over the coms. "Hello Alpha flight, this is the R-M-V Outer Cold. We're flagged non-combatant, The Black Bunny Brigade is on the surface conducting contract work with the Church of Upsular. The Field commander may be reached on the surface near the crash site, if you wish to insure their paperwork is in order. Outer Cold, out."

Down on the surface, every Rabbit pauses for a moment to look skyward as the coms network comes alive with encrypted traffic again. Then slowly, they resume their search. At the crash site though, well the Rabbits cutting apart the wreck don't so much as pause. Blackjack, casually meanders away from the crash site. Cracking a flare against his armor suit, before pitching it away to make himself easy to pick out.

Ever so casually he finds a convient pile of wreckage to lean against, before cradling that neat PRDO carbine across his chest. A glow if only faintly with that energy field keeping him supplied with atmosphere, Not exactly ideal mind but then again they don't usually need to do much work in hard vaccum and they're clearly not expecting much of a firefight given how spread out they are.

Captain Marvel (Danvers) has posed:
The logical question would be to press where are they headed next, because so far it seemed like a non threat situation. The preferred situation. But why keep asking when she can check with the CO himself, and so she zooms towards the surface, locking in on the aforementioned crash site.

When Captain Marvel closes in on the Rabbits, she calls out, "I'm Captain Marvel of Earth's Alpha Flight, I'm looking for your Commanding Officer, I need assurances you have no implements on Earth next...your Brigade doesn't often ventures this close to Earth, and it's suspect."

Blackjack O'hare (7665) has posed:
Ever seen an enormous heavily armed rabbit? Well now you have! "Well hello there, Captain. I'm Field Commander Blackjack O'hare, it's a pleasure."And well he steps foreward to offer a gloved hand over. Those blaze red photoreceptors on his helmet make reading much expression sort've rough, but hey that buck tooth smile doesn't hurt right?
"Earth no, I'd love to visit but it's been made quite clear that Earth does not welcome tourists. So I expect this is about as close we're liable to get."Theres a casual nod over his shoulder. "We're on contract with the church of Upsular, thief made off with some religious texts a few hundred years back. Took them awhile to find the location, we're here to see about getting those back."And a pause there for a moment. "Would you like to inspect my credentials, Ma'am?"

Captain Marvel (Danvers) has posed:
Captain Marvel comes to land besides Blackjack O'hare, "a pleasure to meet you, I hope," she says with a big grin on her face, clearly suggesting her mind isn't quite made yet.

"You promise to behave, and not cause trouble, maybe I'll sanction a visit for you," Captain Marvel notes, before pressing, "so what's your contract here...?" She nods as details are provided, before looking a bit deeper into Blackjack's eyes, "and once you've completed the assignment, you're heading back to collect, I imagine? As in...Earth doesn't need to concern itself with your presence?" She shakes a hand dismissively at the question of credentials, "not necessary, you'd be surprised, but I heard of your brigade..."

Blackjack O'hare (7665) has posed:
"From us, no certainly not. You couldn't offer us enough money to make a run at earth, I mean we're good but we're only a Brigade you know?"and a half turn, to lead with a nod of his head towards the dropships. "It's supposedly where our genetic stock comes from, but those butchers on halfworld certainly wouldn't confirm anything. They're still tied up in court trying to assert their ownership of us as property, claiming we're wholly synthetic. An invasion though, no that's not our style."

"Always nice to hear we're well known, makes everything much simpler."Theres a grin there, as he pops the hatch and pulls it open because obviously..ladies first. "I trust they were all terrible things, about how terrifying and aggressive we are. How we're a pack of blood thirsty murder machines, bent on slaughter perhaps? Oh-oh, is that story about the airlock still circulating?"

Captain Marvel (Danvers) has posed:
"That's great news, because you wouldn't want to be against me," Carol says quite jovially, despite the words suggesting a threat, she's being rather amicable. "You just get your guys here, and finish your contract, I'll have to go back and deal with actual threats to Earth, you'd be surprised but we do get those...despite Earth's reputation in the galaxy," naturally, anyone who's been to Knowhere isn't expected to have a high opinion of Earth. Carol is aware of that. "Just don't let your fame go to your head, Blackjack, you don't want to end up like Star-Lord, do you?" Marvel teases, before giving a friendly salute, "carry on then," and with that she flies into space like a streak of light.
