Date of Scene: 10 April 2019
Location: Gotham Zoo, Bay Side
Synopsis: Catwoman seeks out one of Batman's brood, Red Robin, with a request and an offer.
Cast of Characters: Red Robin, Catwoman

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake is swinging through the zoo. There are a few places he checks on a regular bases. The aviary, the heyna enclosure, and a few of the other exhibits that seem to attrack more of the colorfull types. He stops and does spend a little bit of extra time at the aquariums. Taking a moment in the calmness to center himself.

Catwoman has posed:
The aviary at the zoo was the chosen place. After all, what cat doesn't like birds? When he arrives, a feminine voice can be heard from a secluded corner of the exhibit.

"You're a few minutes late. Don't you know it's rude to keep a lady waiting, little bird?"

Lounging upon a bench, where the lights in the place don't reach, is none other than Catwoman. The whip is coiled up, not in use, and she looks rather comfortable and content with herself. "Meeow."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake will come to a jolt, spinning towards the woman, his hand close to his belt but nothing pulled yet. His mask has a glimmer across it as lenses enhance his night vision. He hmms, and says "I needed to pick up a new cuttle bone." He jokes a bit and adds "so, what brings the lady to the bird house?"

Catwoman has posed:
The woman on the bench, easier to see thanks to the night vision, certainly looks like the Feline Fatale, though the young man's chances to see her this close have been few and far between. Her eyes, while visible, are not only masked by the goggles she wears, everything around her also has that greenish tint from the night vision effect.

"I thought I'd have a look at the Red Robin for myself, all grown up with his own fancy red and black costume instead of the one Batman sticks all his proteges in. You have to wonder why he dresses so dark and shadowy, while all his Robins stand out with so much color, don't you?" Catwoman muses, as if she's mulling over some big mystery. "Good reaction time, by the way, and you waited to see what I'd do. I can't say he hasn't trained you well." Surely she isn't just here for small talk.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake smirks, and knows the role of distraction the boy wonders play and why they are normally seen moving and at a distance first. "Well I do hope I live up to the expectations, I won't say legends, I believe that is more his ground than mine." He will relax a bit but is still ready for problems. He does let the night vision fade, after he has a good look around, not planning on being caught by a flash attack. "So, I would take it there is something you are seeking besides checking out my boyish good looks?"

Catwoman has posed:
Catwoman has her own methods of distraction, often in an attempt to leave her a cleaner path to and from a job. But, there's no need for her to go sharing that, is there? "He certainly has a lot of you running around away from the nest these days. You, Nightwing, the new Robin, Red Hood? He's also one of your..flock, isn't he? I hear he likes to get physical with people."

Slowly, she rises from the bench and saunters toward him, though she shows her gloved hands are empty. "At ease. No surprises. I'm not here to trick you. Remember, I wanted you to see me. You're a little on the young side for me, though. I don't like to rob the nest of a fledgling."

"Actually, I had something to ask you," she adds, and should he hold his ground the catsuited woman will stop close enough that he can hear her voice, lowered. "About that winged rat."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake does hold his ground, and listens to her a brow raises a bit. He does not look at her directly though watching a reflective surface in case she is trying a trick, not as trusting as he was at one time. He will ask her "And what would you ask me of the bat? I don't think he is a vampire, I do belive he is real. And no, he does not have a mastercard that says Batman on it."

Catwoman has posed:
"Oh, I know he's very real. And no, I'm not asking you who he really is, so don't worry about that. You wouldn't tell me anyway," Catwoman remarks. She does see if she can reach out her hands to place them at Red Robin's shoulders, just to give them a brief squeeze from one side before she moves around behind and to the opposite side before letting go. All part of keeping him guessing.

She plays coy, which is very much /not/ her at all, but it's fun to pretend. "Funny as it is to think of him signing 'Batman' to his latest purchase, you probably know he isn't very happy with me these days." A pause, to wait for his response to that.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake hmms and stands still perhaps a bit concerned with the woman's movements, but he trys not to show it, but she probably does pick up on it a bit. "And why would he be upset, have you been taking things that were not yours again, it is a bit of a pet peeve of his. " He tells her this still watching her in the reflection. His body like his mentor coiled spring, but not released not yet.

Catwoman has posed:
Catwoman feigns distress of some kind, the back of a hand to her forehead as if she's in some classic movie, an over-dramatized act. "Oh, I /know/ I do bad things sometimes, but I /am/ a bad kitty." Even if she's occasionally spotted doing good here and there, often related to throwing a wrench into some gang operations. That's probably part of why Batman's been lenient with her, but only one part.

"There may or may not have been a time I was helping myself to a few things, and don't worry, if you knew who the stuff belonged to you'd probably wish you could have done it yourself," she explains, flashing him a white-toothed smile now that she's come back around to stand before him, a hand against a hip thrust out to one side. "Aaaaand Batman may or may not have tried to stop me, and I may or may not have gone a little too far to get away." Hands both go palms up as if to ask 'what can you do?' "It happens, right? I /also/ may or may not have felt the tiniest bit sorry about it later on, but I've tried staying out of his way since then."

Now, she reaches The Point. "Maybe you can be a dear and find out how angry he still is with me. I know you're too clever to just ask him outright. What do you say? I can make it worth your while."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake hmmms a bit to her, and says "You know it might just be much easier if I just told him you wanted to say you were sorry. He hmmms and says "But if I were to find out how angry he was, what would you offer me that I would want my dear lady? He steps back just a bit to get a better look at her and waits to see what she will tell him.

Catwoman has posed:
Catwoman rolls her eyes, which can be seen based on the existing lighting, then asks point blank, "How many relationships have you been in? You don't just ask outright. That's not how it works." Maybe it's all a big game of cat and mouse, or rather, cat and bat, keeping up some appearances, some pretenses, and a heaping helping of mystery.

"I can get into any place I want, take anything I want." Let it not be said she isn't sure of herself and what she's capable of. "I'm sure you're working some lead and you're hitting your head against the wall." She taps at his forehead with a clawtip, light contact if, again, he stays put. "And I don't recommend that. You might knock yourself silly. But, who knows. I might be able to slip you some information. I do have connections."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake hmms and says "Enough that, I find I prefer honesty when ever possible in one. " He will tell her. He does not flinch from her touch, and says "So, if I was to find out how peturbed he is at you, you would owe me a favor?" He asks her. He will study her reaction, "I will see what I will see if I can find out something but I make no promises."

Catwoman has posed:
"That's the nice thing about it. You can keep your hands clean and you don't have to worry about how I get my information. It could be on the up and up. Maybe I have to get sneaky to find it. In the end, you scratch my back, I scratch yours, and I keep the claws to myself," Catwoman offers, turning to take steps away from him.

Not before adding, however, "Besides, I'm curious. You know how it is. So, you find out how much he wants to send me off to Arkham or not, and I'll find a way to get you something you need, within reason. Deal?"

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake smiles a bit more and says "I will do my best to see what I can find out, and I don't think he realy wants to send you to Arkham, jail perhaps, but not even prision to be honest. Lets face it are you any crazier than a guy who dresses in red and black, and stalks the night?" He will step back into the shadows as well, and when his hand is hidden, plucks a ball bearing over to the corner, and he moves to make his exit. Not as stealthy as the bat, but getting there .

Catwoman has posed:
Catwoman mmms. "No, he probably doesn't. He knows I'm not the biggest threat to Gotham City, and every once in a while I do something nice. When was the last time you could say that about the Joker?" She's got a point, doesn't she?

Opting out of the question of what levels of sanity they have for going around in the costumes they do, she says no more other than, "Happy hunting, little bird. I'll find you again soon." Wherever she goes to leave the aviary, then the zoo, she's gone.
