Doom Abducts Harrison
Date of Scene: 12 April 2019
Location: Future Solutions, Lab
Synopsis: Latveria has a new... 'guest'.
Cast of Characters: Professor Zoom, Doctor Doom
Tinyplot: Speed of Doom

Professor Zoom has posed:
Playing the long game looking for a way home. It's the entire purpose of Future Solutions. The techology patented and created here was 'cutting edge' to the modern era... but for Eobard, it was barely a blip on his radar, and meant to draw in funding without advancing quick enough to get the attention of Luthor or Stark.

Security was fair, but nothing to write home about. With a security checkpoint at the front entry, there were a half dozen security guards on the job at any given moment, alongside the dozen or so scientists working on different projects.

Tonight, 'Harrison' was busy overseeing a particularly interesting use of robotics in between handling paperwork for employee benefits in his office.

Sitting behind his desk in his lab coat, 'Harrison' has a long night ahead of him.

Doctor Doom has posed:
Slowly, efficiently, guards and building personnel are quietly replaced, always with a stand-in ready to take the place of someone that comes along on happenstance. Swift, effective tranquilizers are used and people placed where they might logically fall asleep, and thereby create doubt in the minds of others. Shame, even, that they dared to fall asleep on the job. All the better to keep people from talking about something they aren't even sure happened, and comparing notes.

Coupled with this, Doom's entry had him using his psionic ability to manipulate technology to cover his tracks; security cameras show what he wants them to show. Evidence he was here, erased. His ingress to the building leads him to the lab where 'Harrison' is toiling at his nifty robotics. At this point, he's not hiding himself from the man. The man must know who it is he is seeing, lest the moment be wasted.

"Doctor Wells." he intones. "I have a task that you alone are uniquely qualified for, and I - Victor Von Doom - do cordially invite you to Latveria to undertake its completion." So generous of him, though the invite is likely not exactly voluntary in nature. He strolls into the lab, eyes locked on to Harrison as he speaks.

Professor Zoom has posed:
There's a moment of surprise that expresses itself as two raised brows. Then, Harrison looks over to the camera bank on his computer monitor... only to find it's business as usual. "Well then..." Harrison states, non-chalantly, "You've been planning this a while now, and you've bypassed a pretty formidable security setup."

He looks back to Victor, adjusting his glasses, briefly. "I assume this is an invitation that would be unwise to refuse?"

Doctor Doom has posed:
Really, it was child's play to Doom; there are likely others able to pull this off, but he is not a man easily outsmarted without resorting to cheap plays on his personality flaws. "Your wisdom indeed matches your intellect, Doctor." he says, casting an eye over the projects that are present for him to view. The interesting robotics application gets an approving "Mm." while it is observed, but Doom's purpose lies with the scientist.

"Let us be swiftly about our egress, that your subordinates aren't harmed during, yes? Now tell me, is there anything you will need from your computers to further your work regarding the Speed Force, I believe you called it?"

Professor Zoom has posed:
"You would be technically correct. I did indeed name it once the Flash became public." Harrison notes with a small bit of pride as he stands up. His hands move to his side and upwards; a visible show of hands as he watches Victor. "Well, I have plenty of notes on the matter in the mainframe. If you don't want me to have to recreate those formulae from scratch, I'm going to need time to download them onto a backup."

He smiles, "if you need to leave now, it'll probably take me a few weeks to rebuild the database on my own."

Doctor Doom has posed:
Doom raises his arm, bringing his forearm up to access some sort of holographic panel which he engages with a complex set of motions, quickly succeeded by signs that someone is accessing the system. "We have some brief amount of time; please verbally confirm your username and password, and let's not be silly about leaving clues behind for your friends to follow. I'm perfectly willing to replace you, and gather my information via another route."

Professor Zoom has posed:
"HarrisonWells. 6784rtyhb." Harrison states without missing a beat. Seems like Harrison has a healthy respect for Victors capabilities, at least.

A moment passes, and he looks to the computer monitor, "What's your interest in the Speed Force, anyway?"

Doctor Doom has posed:
"Academic, Practical Application, Applied Sciences." Doom says rather vaguely, while the files are accessed. He approaches Harrison, and gestures to the computer which is now showing file selections and such, bidding the man grab what he needs. Of course, Doom will make a heist of more than what is necessary, but one must make sure the needed data is retrieved.

"I am a Student of our world, its cosmos, and beyond, Doctor Wells. There are those who can access this force, and I would know more; whether I could manipulate it myself, or at the very least counter those who would use it against me."

Professor Zoom has posed:
He wanted it badly enough to spend the time it took to bypass the security system of Future Solutions, but he didn't take enough time to study the building proper. This was a recent development... but he needed to keep his cover if he wanted to be underestimated for this.

Looks like Eobard is going for a ride. "You know... you could have just made an appointment during consulting hours." Harrison quips as he types in a series of commands, using the mouse to complete them. Soon, about a gigabyte worth of project notes and plans were being downloaded to the ready backup drive. "It'll be about ten minutes, then we can go."

Who knows... this might turn into an opportunity.

Doctor Doom has posed:
"One makes appointments with Doom, Doctor Wells, not the other way around." he says with the confidence of a despotic monarch. Besides, visits like that would rouse curiosity, and his plans call for people to be confused, if not entirely unaware for the moment.

Once the time needed to download the files elapses, which may be a bit faster than expected, but not shockingly so, it is time for them to leave. Harrison is instructed, and allowed to walk down the path ahead of Doom. Then, as quietly and much more swiftly than they arrived, Doom, his bots, and Harrison are gone.
