Jessica Jones has posed:
Her recent showing on April O'Neil's Truth Seeker podcast proven to be quite a boon for Jessica Jones, she's gotten a surge in calls, new cases, and as a result, more booze money. All around great success. So there she was, sitting at Josie's, empty spots around her, and a bottle of Glenlivet next to her, from which she constantly was refilling her glass.

J'onn is finding himself on the streets of New york more and more frequently in the late days, the absence of dangerous supercriminals intent on destroying the planet keeping him away from the watchtower if not for the necessary supervision of the monitor room, as well as his own personal researches into Mars history. Today, he found himself walking quite aimlessly through the streets of hell's kitchen, intervening from time to time to stop a small crime with just a minor use of his powers, and now he is just walking through the door of a pub as if he was a regular human looking for a drink. The impression of being a human is quite reinforced by his being shapeshifted into one, more precisely a quite tall and well built man with a dark skin, dressed in a fine tailored suit. Walking towards the counter with a nod as a greeting to the other patrons, both his eyes and his other senses make a panoramic scan of the entire place while his steps bring him closer to the counter and the empty seats next to Jessica Jones.

Joseph Miller is new to New York, and may have taken a wrong turn when he was heading to the docks. He sees a bar, and figures it is open and someone in there should know how to get down to the docks. He parks his bike out front and some ducing through the doorway not long after J'onn. He blocks out the doorway for a moment as he looks around and heads over towards the bar as well.

Jessica Jones has posed:
"Well you're easy on the eyes," Jessica comments as J'onn approaches the free seats next to her, because, well, they're free. "It's your lucky day, I've had a pretty good month, I'll let you have some of my whisky if you like," she offers while pouring herself another glass. When Joseph moves closer, Jessica adds, "you're lucky day too, if you'd like a glass."

Martian Manhunter has posed:
It takes a couple of milliseconds of J'onn's concentration to decipher the meaning of "easy on the eyes", another to find the appropriate answer, that comes in the simple form of a smile. "thank you, miss..." he replies, seating himself to Jessica's right. His senses, meanwile, notice the presence of a quite large human not too far away behind him, and he makes sure to turn and look at him to make sure the appearances are respected, offering then a greeting nod towards Joseph as well. "I'm usually more for brandy, or cognac, but noone refuses a good whiskey, right?"

Joseph Miller returns the nod to J'onn and walks over to the bar looking at the stools, and choses to stand not taking the chance with the stool "Thanks, I would not mind a shot or two, but I am driving so probably should not drink to much." Mind you with his size and metablism he "might" be able to out drink Jessica, and thats a feat. "Mind telling me what part of the city I am in, I think I took a wrong turn somewhere.

Jessica arches a brow at the very polite 'thank you, miss' that her compliment gets her and chuckles, "Josie, I'll need another glass," Jessica calls out and once she gets it, she pours a glass to J'onn, before pushing it towards him. "Nobody ever says no to a free drink, more so when it's whisky," Jessica concurs, before turning to eye Joseph. Funny when J'onn turns out to be the alien, not that Jess has any of those fancy telepathic skills or whatever alien cool kids use these days. "You're in Hell's Kitchen, meaning, the wrong part...unless you're looking for trouble?"

Martian Manhunter has posed:
J'onn examines with a quick telepathic scan the general response to his polite thank you, stiffles a chuckle and instead goes with another smile, maybe next time he'll dress and act in a more down to earth way! Maybe. For now, anyways, he nods both at Jessica's statement about free drinks, and about the successive one given as an answer to Joseph's question. "even if I seriously doubt someone like him will find too many troubles, in here. Even thugs should have a bit of brain in those heads, in theory..."

Joseph Miller smiles and nods his head a bit and says "I don't have alot of issues with random trouble, most offen it is more someone with a beef with me, and being new in town, can't be many people yet." He offers. The big man is an alien as well, but even he does not know that thinking he is a mutant or something. "Ok, and if I am trying to get down to the shipping docks, which wa would I head?"

Jessica Jones has posed:
"Why is he an Avenger or Wonder Woman's cousin or something?" Jessica asks J'onn, at his certainty that Hell's Kitchen is safe as a nursery to this 'took a wrong turn in Alabama' dude. She takes a sip as she turns to look at Joseph now, studying him a bit better, was he ever in the news? TMZ maybe? "So you're Mr. Big Stuff then?" At his question, she points with her hand, "you want to head to the Chelsea Piers, it's southwest from here."

Martian Manhunter has posed:
"usually, people don't mess with seven and a half feet tall men that by the looks of it could rip them in half." J'onn corrects himself, because after all how could he know otherwise? He reaches for the bottle and for the new glass, half filling it and taking the glass in his left hand for a small sip. Placing it temporarily back on the counter, he gets a piece of paper and a pen from an internal pocket of his suit, clicks the pen open, and starts drawing. Apparently, the drawing seems to be a small map of the current area, with the route from Josie's to the docks clearly marked. Ignoring the fact the map is almost too similar to a satellitar view of the place, he folds the paper and tries to hand it to Joseph "that should help"

Overlord has posed:
Joseph Miller will take the paper, and says "Thanks both of you." He will take the drink he was offered, and downs it like a shot even if it might be a bit of a large shot. "Being a bad neighborhood, might have to see if I can get a job as a bouncer here if the other idea falls through.

Jessica Jones has posed:
"I don't think you hang around Hell's Kitchen much if you think that's the case," Jessica offers ever so casually at J'onn, though to be fair, he was behaving a bit like a stranger in a strange land. Not that unusual, lots of tourists in New York City, which brings to Jess' follow-up question, "so, as you're clearly not from New York, where do you hail from?" She asks J'onn while having another sip. When Joseph downs the whisky he was given like a shot, Jessica looks aghast, tsking with a shake of her head, "well, that's the last you're getting," she inclines her head at the bouncer idea, "lots of bars and clubs in the area, I'm sure you could get a bouncer job in no time, you certainly got the looks for it."

Martian Manhunter has posed:
J'onn takes another sip from his glass, thinking for a second before giving Jessica her answer "directly from Mars itself..." he chuckles lightly, shaking his head, then adds "or LA, it is definitely more likely for me to be from Los Angeles." another sip of whiskey follows, and a nod comes immediately after "you surely look like a bouncer, yes." at Joseph, of course.

Overlord has posed:
Joseph Miller smiles, a bit and says "Well, I will have to look into it, and thank you for the drink but I really should be heading to see if I am going to be able to get a job. Gotta find a way to make the green before it runs out." He will nod to both of them and says "Maybe I will run into you again, and be able to buy you a drink in thanks.

Jessica Jones has posed:
Jessica gives J'onn a look, then lowers her gaze to her glass, then looks back at him, and snorts, "of course, why not," and then she mimics Joseph faux pas by downing the rest of her glass. But then J'onn corrects himself, and Jessica snorts a second time, "you're quite the joker. I'm Jessica by the way, you got a name?" She asks, before turning to nod at Joseph, "good like finding the Chelsea Piers."

J'onn smiles slightly, sipping again his glass of whiskey. "well I don't look like a martian, do I?" he asks, then extends his right hand in Jessica's direction "Malik Jonson, a pleasure to meet you, Jessica" and to the leaving man he offers a wave "be safe!"

Jessica Jones has posed:
"I wouldn't know if you did," Jessica plays the game as well as anyone, "on account of never been to Mars, and never meeting a Martian, so, heck, you could have fooled me," she laughs as she extends a hand towards J'onn, "nice to meet you Malik Jonson."

Martian Manhunter has posed:
J'onn shakes Jessica's hand with a brief but solid handshake, enough to be something without being forceful or anything! "well as far as I know Mars is not that good of a place to visit, now aday. I mean, I think the tourism department is not that well developed, more than a millennia of inactivity could have that effect, probably..." he comments, retracting the hand after the handshake if it has been released and retrieving the glass to take another, and apparently, the last sip of alcohol from it. Meanwile, a quick internal shifting of his biology ensure that all the alcohol doesn't really get to his blood.

Jessica Jones has posed:
"That so...? Glad I met you before I had a chance to plan my next vacation on Mars," Jessica jokes, while making sure nobody will want for whisky in their glass. "So...where would you recommend to vacation instead? L.A.?"

Martian Manhunter has posed:
J'onn smiles and shifts a bit on his seat, making himself more comfortable. "L.A. is a good place to go on vacation to... It is basically an asimmetrical and slightly more chaotic version of New York, with a more, noir, atmosphere if we want... An intresting place for sure and now aday not even too difficult to reach." he explains, entirely using someone else's words recalled from his memories of probably some years ago.

Jessica Jones has posed:
"Right." Jessica concludes, as she foregoes the glass, in order to just grab the bottle and drink the rest of it down, putting it down on the counter once every drop been drank. "You're a character, Malik, I guess I'll be seeing you around until you get back to L.A., I recommend taking the Staten Island Ferry, great view of the skyline." With that she pays up to Josie, before turning to leave for the night.

Martian Manhunter has posed:
J'onn offers a last smile and a wave to Jessica as she leaves, adding a "see you, Jessica." he will then wait a couple of minutes before leaving too, through the back door, and taking directly to the sky for a definitely good view of new york, invisibility of course preceding the takeoff.
