Cast of Characters: Harley Quinn, Andrew Bennett, Black Alice

Harley Quinn has posed:
"Oh, so, two hundred dollars ain't good'nuff fer ya?" Harley is talking to herself as she's walking down the street in front of the Gallery and Cathedral. She's moving along and she has her mallet held by one hand as it leans against her shoulder, "Gonna be late cause ain't none of these cars even worth stealin'..." Grumbling some more, until... her eyes get wide and she smiles big.

Then she grips her mallet, and pulls back, cracking the top of the Parking meter right off and most of the stand, sending coins going everywhere. Then she giggles a bit, and runs up to the next one doing a little twirl beforehand, and smashing that Parking Meter as well. "Them hard-nosed traffic cops gonna be in fer a real surprise tomorrow mornin'. An' I'm doin' a community service, no wonder Bats beats on me all the time. Feels kinda good." Another one, broken in her wake.

Andrew Bennett has posed:
The door to the grand cathedral opens, and out strolls a late-going parishioner. The handsome, pale man is dressed in tight black jeans and boots, along with a faded Smashing Pumpkins shirt and a black and grey flannel, unbuttoned. He brushes his fingers back through his hair and fishes some headphones out of his pocket, preparing to blast some music into his ears for the walk home. He pauses, however, when he spots Harley.

He blinks and cocks his head to the side, his gaze dipping over her before he considers everything. He finally shrugs to himself and puts the headphones away, making his way out onto the sidewalk. "You know, some folks are going to be pissed about those meters. But, judging from your outfit I can tell you're in the 'I don't really care about that' camp, huh?" His accent seems local.

Black Alice has posed:
Black Alice, or Lori as almost no one on earth actually calls her, lives in Gotham. The really really boring suburbs that might as well be another city entirely to be fair but still it is Gotham.

Tonight Alice is in Nantwich because she heard through the rumor mill that the van Dyke Gallery had an exhibit that had some occult potential.

So she was standing outside it, thinking about doing something illegal, or at least very morally grey, when she heard the mallet impact the first parking meter. That gets the young woman to pause and turn very slowly to look at the ruckus.

"This.. " she looks around to make sure the Joker isn't here as well, last thing she needs is to be dosed with Joker gas.

Louder. "Are you actually robbing parking meters!?"

Harley Quinn has posed:
As a person starts wandering up there's another *CRACK* as the mallet hits a parking meter and tosses the thing up against the nearest property, making a loud change hitting ground sound before Harley takes a moment. To Andrew she first speaks up, "Oh, I care mister, about these so called people bein' pissed. It just makes me feel warm and fluffy inside like I'm doin' a good deed. I'm some kinda girl scout right now. You need ta walk across the street or anythin'? I promise I won't run ya over."

When Alice shows up, Harley mentions, "I ain't exactly robbin', this is more like vandalism, soon ta be burglarizin'. Unless either one of you own these meters? Then I'd probably threaten ya with this 'ere mallet of mine. And that'd make it robbery fer sure."

Andrew Bennett has posed:
The man laughs a bit and shrugs at that. He doesn't look angry or anything, so he likely isn't one of those people. "Well, I get that. Get off on the rebellion, right? That's fair. And no, I'm old, but I can cross the street on my own. -This- side of the street is simply more interesting." He looks like he is in his twenties.

He glances over at Alice and offers an idle salute to the other 'concerned citizen'...even if he doesn't look very concerned.

Black Alice has posed:
Alice rubs her face lightly and then notes "Someone would tell me I should do something mildly heroic about this but I just can't be bothered. Also I am not a hero. I am sure someone would tell me to do something about now though ... glad they aren't here."

"Hey Harley Quinn... can you mallet this art gallery for me and take the blame for the ensuing crime perhaps?" with that Black Alice gestures at the large gallery window. "Because parking meters just aren't really high scale burglary?"

Harley Quinn has posed:
There's a bit of a tilt from Harley's head, as she goes almost 90 degrees, practically resting her cheek on her shoulder as she looks at Andrew. "It's like yer readin' my mind." And then she closes her eyes, puffs out her cheeks, and plugs her ears before slowly starting to open one eye, then the net, and smiling soon after, "There. Blew ya out if ya were, I bet. I 'eard that trick works. Or maybe I was jus' at some kids birthday party? Not sure no more, it's all twisted up in that there head of mine."

Alice gets the next look, though Harley isn't turning her head, it's still canted to the side far too far, as she just turns her whole body to look at Alice. "Are ya goin' crazy? It sounds like you are goin' crazy. Trust me, I know." A pause and she raises her head up fully erect, "I'm a psychiatrist, an' I just play trouble on TV." Though she's starting to give a look at Alice, "A mallet ain't no good fer paintings." Harley starts, shaking her head, "Ya gotta use fire." And she fiddles with her half jacket, getting into a pocket and pulling out a wind up 4 inch tall, Godzilla as if that answers that.

Andrew Bennett has posed:
"Well, don't break into a -museum-," the guy says after a moment. "Parking meters or whatever. It's like in that movie, right? But a museum is something else." The man shrugs, though, stuffing his hands into the pockets of his jeans. He turns his attention back to Harley, and the man laughs softly. He's charmed by her, it seems. He's likely heard stories of her, of course, but for whatever reason he doesn't seem alarmed.

"Consider me out of that cute head of yours, Ms...Quinn, was it?"
He glances over at Alice, then. "Huh. Godzilla," he grunts, turning back to Harley. "Love the originals..."

Black Alice has posed:
"Urr..." yeah Alice you should have known better than engage a lunatic for something that could have been a simple in and out. "I mean to be honest I just wanted a statue I heard was on display in the Gallery.. and it isn't a museum not a for real one."

Yeah moral quandry now, that little godzilla wind up might be a firebomb. What to do. What to do. Also the guy does not seem to appreciate the fact this is Harley Quinn and that means crazy bad news usually in Gotham right.

"I didn't mean mallet any paintings I meant break the window or door and be crazy... not like burn it all down Harley."

Harley Quinn has posed:
"Awww, ya tryin' ta flirt wit' me." Harley Quinn mentions to Andrew before she stops and squints, "Wait, ya ain't gonna make me do anythin' weird. I'm a one man kinda woman, an' I got my man already. Drop dead gorgeous, amazin' dresser, an' he really gets me, ya know?" Harley wistfully sighs out as she starts walking in the direction of the gallery before pausing in her walking.

"Look, ya made me pull out my lil' godzilla 'ere and everything missy. If yer lookin' fer someone to just go in and waggle their tongue, talk ta the Croc. He's pretty tongue wagglin'esque." And then Harley's kind of distracted before she mouths 'oh' and smiles, starting to walk toward the gallery again, "Breakin' windows isn't even fun, an' it's crazy to pull out a fire breathin' knick knack commentin' about the dangers of nuclear bombs, and not use it. That's crazy, an' I ain't crazy lady." She thinks aloud, "Crazy lady, that could easily be a song, or on a T-Shirt."

Andrew Bennett has posed:
He glances at Alice and shakes his head a bit, looking a bit disapproving. "You should probably just leave the museum alone, miss. No fires, no breaking and entering. Just leave it alone for the folks to enjoy. Gothamites don't get enough to enjoy as it is..."

He turns back to Harley and laughs softly. "I can appreciate someone without...what was it...making you do something weird? No. While I consider your...'man'...a threat to society as a whole, I'm not about to mess with you."

He sighs as Harley begins to head towards the gallery, looking as if he is considering getting in the way.

Black Alice has posed:
"Well it is probably to late to .. and dude it isn't a Museum it is a private art Gallery." and Black Alice turns to look at it again to make double sure. Not everywhere with art is a museum after all, where is this guy from.

Spinning back around she moves out of easy range of large mallets and looks like she does not at all intent to stop Harley. "I'm totally leaving the Gallery alone... " says the young woman who egged on the villain to do the breaking and entering for her.

Harley Quinn has posed:
"You really think so? I mean, he'd appreciate that compliment, so I'll pass it along. A threat to society as a whole, you're a real kind fella mister." Harley says, she's stopping a moment, and looks back toward Alice as she seems less inclined to enter the Gallery.

"Wait a moment, ya ain't going to go in and do whatever it was ya were gonna do?" Harley seems a little confused, "I only got one of these godzillas, so it's now or never lady. You want a buildin' ta burn or jus' leave it alone? I'm so confused. It's tough bein' around people who can't make up their minds."

Andrew Bennett has posed:
The man blinks and glances at the Gallery again. "Oh! Huh. Got it confused with that little art museum a black and a half down. Everything kind of bleeds together down here." He shrugs and sighs, glancing over at Alice. "You should be ashamed." He still doesn't interfere, though. This really isn't his...thing.

He watches the two idly, plucking a hand out of his pocket as he leans down over one of the piles of change. "Oh, hey. Buffalo nickel."

Black Alice has posed:
"I'm honestly not really in a relationship with shame and I struggle with understanding the concept to be honest." a shrug from the Goth Woman. "Well... I was going to wait until all hell broke loose to go in and get the statue I wanted to grab."

"You know... you break in and I grab something... the cops blame you because your the wanted criminal... I get away with it." there is a pause from Alice "Is this hard to follow... I am genuinely not trying to be sneaky or clever here."

Harley Quinn has posed:
As Harley looks at Alice, she shakes her head, "That part I'm followin'. But then there's the part about lighting the whole place on fire. I ain't sure that part of yer plan was so well thought through." A few nods come from Harley Quinn. "Why not call the police in with a tip, that someone's gonna be targettin' the statue. Then they show up, put it in a nice lil' armored car, an' you hijack that. Ideally, wit' fire. Maybe some toxic gas, or acid. I'm a big fan of acid."

Harley's grinning pretty big before she looks in the direction of Andrew, "Jus' make sure ta leave me a dollar fifty on the ground, so I can take the bus. I was tryin', but this driver was wanting exact change. And wouldn't take a bribe fer 200 dollars. Who would of thought the gotham public transit drivers were so noble?"

Andrew Bennett has posed:
The man glances between the two and rises to his feet, pocketing the buffalo nickel. "Plenty of change here for the bus. Well, ladies. You two have fun with...whatever this is going to be. I have a shift in an hour, so I need to get to work." Ah, graveyard shift. He glances from the two towards the art gallery and shakes his head to himself. He stuffs his hands back into his pockets and turns to meander off.

Black Alice has posed:
"I for one had no idea that public bus drivers in Gotham would be anything ...anyone..anywhere... could call Noble..." there is a slow shake of her head. "Also.. maybe you are right I didn't think this through very well." and yeah Alice sounds frustrated.

She tilts her head to the side and cracks her neck, smoke coils up from the ground and suddenly she is in a bit of a magicians outfit, just like that. Zach Zatara's outfit really and she points at the front of the art gallery and starts talking backwards. "em ot eutats"

There are some crashes in the Gallery and then the front window explodes outwards as a statue whips through the air, really it is a small idol, looks tibetan, and smacks into Alice's white gloved hand. She wasn't wearing gloves a moment ago.

Harley Quinn has posed:
The statue flies into the hand of Alice, and Harley just kind of shakes her head a bit. She sighs, "So, no burnin' down the Gallery?" And she winds up her little godzilla before setting it on the ground and allowing it to walk toward all the cars that are parked. After a few steps it starts breathing out an 8 foot long stream of fire, then it goes away and it works it up some more, doing it again, and the cars start to get a bit crispy and fires begin to start from the expended fuel out of the godzilla. It'll only get in about 4 or 5 blasts before it's out itself but that might just be enough to light a few cars on fire.

Black Alice has posed:
"Well.. I mean I was going to suggest burning down the gallery to cover up the statue robbery really but this is pretty chaotic. To be fair I am probably going to still call in that tip and say I saw Harley Quinn rob an art gallery then light a bunch of cars on fire."

She is still dressed up all super fancy as she watches the little guy stomp down and burn cars. "Wow.. that .. little guy is really impressive." making no moves to put out the fire though. "You get your arson merit badge Harley Quinn."

Harley Quinn has posed:
"Right? He's one of my favorites." Harley Quinn just leans against her mallet while it's on the ground, and she shrugs, "I get blamed fer all sorts of things I ain't never done. What's one more thing?" And she looks over to the Gallery before looking back to the fiery cars, as her eyes get a bit wider and reflect the flickering flames, "You know, I should light more things on fire more often. I should probably get outta 'ere though, so the cops don't have a chance ta ask me if I stole anything. Ain't like I'm a liar, that's jus' wrong."

Black Alice has posed:
"Right.. leave the lying to me and the Arson to you. Good job though. The flame is a chipper color and lights up the neighborhood awfully swell." she squints a little concentrating. "Slippery... way slippery for a chump..." yeah she is making no sense.

"Until next time Harley Quinn." and she wiggles her fingers and then says backwards. "emoh em etag" and a ripple of magical energy appears under her as a portal opens and she drops into it and out of sight now.
