Human Torch has posed:
In medical, Jessica's phone suddenly explodes with sound and vibration. Incoming call!

A glance to the screen will show evidence of it being ... an unknown number. Which really could be anything, including telemarketing, except that the Avenger devices probably block all of that. So it must be legitimate.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
Jessica frowns at the unknown number. But...it's probably someone important. After all, it isn't like just anyone has her number. And superheroes are rarely listed in a directory. The frown comes mostly from the fact that the phone is on a bedside table, and that means reaching. And reaching means work. And pain. But...it might JUST BE important. She streeetches, and reeaches, and finally answers the phone, sounding out of breath.

"JD," she answers simply and to the point.

Human Torch has posed:
"Hi, Jessica," comes Johnny Storm's upbeat but somewhat bored tone. "Calling to check in and whatever," he declares. "I quizzed Reed about that gun that did nothing, so I've got information about what it does, and also some more... uhhh, 'features' you can plug into it if you want. I'm not a delivery person, but if you want them, can send them over with a courier...."

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
"Oh. Johnny! Right..." JD fixes her hair a little, as if he might somehow see her with a serious case of bed head. "Uh...I sort of found out a little bit about what it does...I killed a...shot down a drone." That sounds better. "It was picking up drones and electronic..stuff." Then...she remembers the most important part. "Yeah, we definitely need more information on it...I tried, I really tried Johnny...but it was taken from me. I'm in the medbay at the mansion, now. The information would be helpful. We have to get it back. I have to get it back." She sits bolt upright with determination, but all she can do is groan like an old man trying to stand up out of a recliner. "Oh...God."

Human Torch has posed:
"Yeah, it changes the programming on robotic things, I guess. Wait. /Stolen/?" Johnny echoes, surprised. "Stolen." Anger floods into his voice, with a tension that reads through the phone line. Her phone probably didn't gain heat from it, fortunately. Whether his on his end is melting is another question.

"Who stole it? Do you want it tracked? I'll turn on the tracking... okay, I'll ASK to turn on the tracking thing," Johnny says, suddenly making a bit of noise that suggests he's traveling or doing something active on his end.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
"Yes. YES, if it can be tracked we need that turned on." Jess sits there panting for a moment and gives in to the pain, flopping back with a pained sigh. "I don't know who it was. It looked exactly like the Wasp, but it clearly wasn't her. The gun picked up her signature, she wasn't human. I tried to use it to defend myself when she attacked me, but she had caught me offguard. I...I fried part of her, but she still overpowered me." Jessica sighs frustratedly. "I was already injured by then." It's a weak defense. She should never have allowed herself to become injured in the first place.

Human Torch has posed:
"Yeah, I'll ask. Of course it can be tracked. I mean, unless they removed the tracker. Most people aren't smart enough to do that, though," Johnny replies, as if this were all business as usual. It is, to the Fantastic four young man.

"You're injured?!" Johnny flares angrily.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
"She's...er...It's....brutal. Whatever it is. Some sort of biomechanical...or just mechanical...thing. I took some sort of blast to the chest. Mostly concussive, nothing major internal, but some broken ribs and a cracked sternum. Nothing I can't mend, but it will take a little while. Even with healing, for something that extensive. It's frustrating. SO frustrating. I can't even...put into words how angry...." But it won't stop her from trying. "I'm just...I want to be out there finding her stupid jerk robot ass and kicking it."

Human Torch has posed:
"I'll melt her into /scrap/," offers/declares Johnny Storm, clearly still maintaining his upset quality. "All right, I'll get this tracker thing going, and we'll.... bring her to justice." He's angry, but not entirely unhinged.

"... I have to go, but I'll handle this first. Heal up, and I'll send what I can on over. Maybe her melted down robo-head," Johnny says. Suddenly the line goes dead. The guy doesn't idly warn about things, he does them. There is probably a fiery, angry young man all over his new personal 'mission'.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
"Okay, sure tha--" But he's gone. And apparently REALLY mad. All Jess can think is...Thank goodness he couldn't see her hair.
