Cast of Characters: Iron Man, Captain America, Black Panther, Spider-Woman (Drew)
Tinyplot: Sentinels

Iron Man has posed:
As the large Sentinels fall outside the facility, and heroes move to deal with the explosions and damage they create, the interior of the 'prison' facility and safehouse is a complete mess. The security has been brought out of chaos mode by the distant and drunk Stark, so it isn't creating even more problems, and the 'robot Janet' has been put into stasis in one of the undamaged prison cells.

However, the other cells are damaged in some manner: which leaves John Doe without a location. He's just loose in the base, though he hasn't gone anywhere, he's stayed nearby and at hand close to where the robotic Janet is being held. He looks like a lost hospital patient, due to his sweatpants and shirt, and very dirty socks, but hasn't drawn much attention to himself. Since he assisted to subdue robot-janet, he has been quiet and distant: which meant he's mostly been overlooked, with the more important robot and sentinels to deal with.

Captain America has posed:
The lump on the back of Steve's skull was hard-earned. Low lighting and the heat of the moment (e.g. battle) meant he was left unconscious on the floor rather than useful. After awakening to the real Janet's summons, loud as they were, and blinking away stars, he was too disoriented to grant immediate aid in return.

After ascertaining that the faux-Janet was contained, the Captain breaks away to make for the detention cells. He's still sporting his suit and wears his shield on his arm as he comes around the corner and spots John Doe. "Hey." He calls it loudly enough to catch attention, but not to instill fear. "You okay?" His jogging immediately shifts to a purposeful walk and he drops the shield to his side rather than out before himself, signaling intent to speak rather than to engage in combat.

Black Panther has posed:
T'Challa rushed to the site but could not arrive before the battle was ended. After confirming the Sentinel remains outside are not posing any immediate threats, he heads into the facility through the entrance that the clone had used.

Wearing his armor, T'Challa follows along by scent, and reading the signs of the battle from the scorches, smells, and other physical traces of evidence. He walks the steps of the clone, searching each area it takes him through, making sure no surprises were left behind. Eventually he makes the corner into the hallway where Steve and John Doe are.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
Jessica was never far from John Doe, from the time she first encountered him. She is sitting against a wall with her back straight against it, nursing a healing burn from the errant drone that blasted her. She looks up at Steve as he arrives, watching between him and John Doe quietly. She is guarded, but doesn't expect trouble from Steve.

Iron Man has posed:
John Doe didn't react in fear, more a curiosity. It isn't different than any number of people might react to seeing Captain America come jogging up to them, though. Doe nods an answer of yes. "Please accept my apologies for destroying the wall. I did not get a reply when I asked what was happening, and I chose to try to help out," Doe says, referring to the wall he blasted out of the cell previously assigned to him for many weeks. That action, of course, caused a huge amount of the alarms. "Were any others injured?" Doe asks.

Doe is a large man, with a military physique, but he isn't Captain America, either. With them close together, Doe will seem a little thick or boxy, compared to physical perfection. Doe settles his hands together in his lap, at least until T'Challa arrives. Then there's a lot of staring, and a lot of scanning, though it just looks like some very intent, and slow, studying look. "Hello," Doe says, though, without any trace of aggression. Either he knows better, or just isn't seeking a fight.

Captain America has posed:
"Still calling in," replies Steve curtly as to injuries to the scattered team. "And apology accepted. The help was necessary." He turns to look back in the direction of the greeting and nods to T'Challa. A bit more slowly, as if favoring his neck in particular, the Captain glances back and spots Jessica. A mannered few steps over to her and he's offering out a hand to her, in case she wishes to get to her feet.

"I'm sure there's ice around here somewhere for that. Might get some myself," he says to her quietly with a small smile.

Black Panther has posed:
T'Challa's eyes go to his teammates after ascertaining that there isn't any danger left. Though he soon looks to John Doe and it registers that he's out. And T'Challa's there with his vibranium technology. Well, if he's a hundred years from the future as the scans indicated, he's probably more advanced anyway. But T'Challa activates the parts of his suit's stealth capabilities that deal with everything except for visible light, hoping to limit how much might be gleamed from it. "I will check the rest of the facility," T'Challa says, but mostly just an excuse to get away and leave his armor out of scanning range somewhere. He strides off quickly.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
"I'm all right," Jessica replies with a tense smile as she takes Steve's offered hand and rises to her feet. "I'd be glad to go get you some, though. I kinda wanted to check out the refr--facility to see what kind of damage Janet's evil twin caused. But I didn't want to leave in case anyone wanted to give him a hard time," she explains, nodding toward John Doe.

Iron Man has posed:
Doe observes the others, without moving his hands, leaving the palms down at his lap. Showing palms, what with the weapons in his arms, could be taken the wrong way. He seems alert, aware, watchful. "I'm confident I can keep the errant robot dormant from this location. I'm a little new to this. But it has worked so far. Not that this makes me happy." He looks at Jessica, with a smile at her protectiveness of him. "What do you mean, evil twin? Is there a story here?"

Yes, he was definitely looking at T'Challa, and also reacted to the stealth being switched on, by tilting his head a little bit. It is probably quite clear to T'Challa that the scans were most definitely happening. Because he's interesting. Still, Doe doesn't remark on the stealth.

Captain America has posed:
With contained strength, the Captain helps Jessica to her feet and favors her with another small smile, this one part grimace. "Nah, don't worry about it. It'll go away with time. If you wanna go run reconnaisance, go ahead," he nods to her. "Keep us updated on comms." The shadow of T'Challa slipping away has Steve watching it slide off into the inner maze of the facility. He sighs quietly to himself and then turns his attention back to John Doe.

"There's a story and it ends with the real twin being present and accounted for, which is all I can ask right now. You're keeping the robot-twin under?" Eyebrows flick up as the Captain considers the other man.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
"Thank robot that you put down had taken the form of one among us. Janet," Jessica explains to John Doe as she looks back and forth between him and T'Challa. "But...she has less arms than Janet, now. I do think I am going to go get that ice, though..." She looks to John. "I'll be back..." And she slips off to go kill a fridge. And maybe get ice.

Iron Man has posed:
Doe considers the story about the copying, and frowns a little bit, but nods. "Perhaps she'll give up the story, if analyzed," he answers, with a movement of head that indicates the cell she is contained in. "Yes, I'm doing that." Doe is direct and honest, at least from all appearances, about the question. "I can tell she has a self destruct. Stasis seemed like the best choice if she is malfunctioning."

Captain America has posed:
Watching Jessica go as well, Steve's sure to listen for the departing footsteps before glancing back at Doe. "Self destruct," he echoes wryly. Of course. "Glad you have a finger on that." He remembers the fiasco of the airport well enough, given eidetic memory. "The stasis won't be able to be kept up for forever. You gotta way to set her into permanent stasis? I'm not interested in dealing with her again." The Captain grits his teeth for only a split second before his skull reminds him that's not a great idea and he blinks hard once as if to will away the twinge.

Black Panther has posed:
T'Challa leaves his armor in a secure area on the other side of the base before returning. He comes walking down the hallway, eyeing the marks from bio-electric blasts, dragon flames, and robot-faces bouncing off the floor. T'Challa walks over to Steve, clasping his shoulder softly. "Glad that you are alright," he says in a soft, slightly raspy voice. T'Challa turns towards John Doe. "And you assisted us? I am grateful for this. I am T'Challa," he says, offering the simplest of greetings. And after suspecting his suit was scanned, not feeling like giving any additional information pointing to Wakanda in front of the cyborg. "Is there a way to remove her power source, for example?" he asks John Doe.

Iron Man has posed:
"She has attempted to do a data transfer, but if she contains some virus or similar thing, I don't want it. I've rejected her attempts to send me anything. But she didn't ignore my directions. I couldn't tell you why. But that's where we are." John Doe reclines a little more in his chair, but it isn't really restful pose. More a soldier that is slightly more at ease: but not relaxed. "I'd like to try to analyze her, if she can give me any information on what I am, but I don't want to be infected, either."

When T'Challa returns, he doesn't get studied, simply looked at, with a return nod. Doe includes T'Challa in his continued information: "But yes, I think I can permanently disable her, if you want. Yes, we can remove those. I'm confident about it, but I haven't done this before." There's a quality of dutiful military with Doe and his style of to-the-point information and agreement.

Captain America has posed:
The Captain's gloved hand rises to return the friendly pat on the shoulder in turn after T'Challa joins them. "Same to you," he replies quietly to the man. His attention returns to John Doe, especially after the Panther's question -- it's a good one, simple and effective in the long run.

"Pull the batteries and you disable the self destruct...or set it off -- and would it leave the ability to study her as you wanted to? Can you gather data off a dead system?" he asks of the seated man.

Black Panther has posed:
T'Challa nods at what both John Doe and Steve Rogers have said. "There are a few things it would be helpful to know from her. But yes, I worry that she would try to harm you through any connection she could," T'Challa says, the latter part directed at the cyborg. "Though knowing what parts allow your commands to override her would be useful if it could be determined. Especially seeing how they are being used aggressively," T'Challa comments in that well-schooled accent of his.

The African pauses for a moment in thought. "Do you have a preferred name?" he asks John Doe, and includes Steve in the glance then. This is T'Challa's first time face to face with the cyborg.

Iron Man has posed:
"It should not be a problem. She does not appear to be very advanced. I'm ready, when you give the word," John Doe says, efficiently. He does rise to his feet, hands loose by the sides of his mild gray sweatpants, and seems to wait for the go-ahead. "I'll need to do it physically."

Doe looks at T'Challa with an expression that reads as possibly being flattered, or touched, in some way. "I am working on that. John is all right for now. I am still hoping I can find something of who I was. If I can't, I will decide on a new name. Thank you for asking."

Captain America has posed:
Steve smiles to himself, just a little, as he glances between the soldier and the Panther. He then tilts his head in the direction of the hallway leading back to the point of his own fiasco and that which followed in dents and burn marks on the flooring.

"Might as well try it sooner than later, especially since you're holding her in stasis. Don't get me wrong, but a break in concentration -- or signal, however it's happening, and she might get up and running again." He begins to lead the way out of the room and towards the stashed robotic twin.

Black Panther has posed:
"If the power source can be removed in a way it can be re-inserted later if desired? That would also be beneficial," T'Challa says softly. "A chance to disarm any weapons in the meantime. Though, this explosive she carries? I believe Steve is correct we need be careful it is not set off," T'Challa suggests. "At the least this should be done in a heavily contained area."

Iron Man has posed:
"I'll warn you to get clear; if necessary, be behind me. I'm the one that isn't human," Doe answers T'Challa, with a thoughtful pause. That's the best he can do. "But I'll disconnect that before I do anything else."

John Doe follows where he's led, and enters the cell and approaches the robot in stasis. She does not move or react to him in any way. Once given the go-ahead, he doesn't pause, he moves one hand to her hip and rolls her rather unceremoniously onto her face, with some apparent strength. Without warning, her lower back entirely opens to his expectant stare, and he reaches into her metallic spinal column. Doe starts to remove panels in the same manner as a mechanic that has done tons of oil changes, making a little pile of parts.

"I can confirm she's a Sentinel. No doubt. But not a good one. Full of problems. And she's been merged with some sort of tech disruptor. I'll remove it after she's disabled."

Captain America has posed:
Steve stands back and to one side, his brows tightly drawn as he observes the dismantling of the Janet lookalike. At one point, especially when he draws the parallel between panels and vertebrae, his face tightens in what appears to be minor nausea. After all, this was a //twin// -- the similarities in shape and build are disturbingly uncanny. He turns half away and rubs at his eyes with thumb and forefinger pads.

"I trust you," he mutters to John Doe even as he clicks his shield back in place in its holster at his shoulders.

Black Panther has posed:
THe African is without his armor as well now, so T'Challa is happy to stay back and near to the exit, though still stays where he can observe what is going on. Seeing how the clone is opened is one of the things that most interests T'Challa, should they encounter one again. He stays quiet as he watches her being worked on. When the task is complete, he'll go to give updates to the rest of the team.

Iron Man has posed:
In a few moments she's been taken into two parts by Doe, as he entirely has her pulled in half: her upper body, and her lower body at the waist down, and adjusts to go elbow-deep up into her from the severed waist zone. Doe is expressionless, focused, as he pulls a power core out of her middle, and then removes his arm to get her head. He rotates and pulls her head off with a click, like a detachable part: if you know how to detach it properly. She may as well be a mannequin. Doe turns the head over and looks into the neck-side. Her burned eyes rotate and move; it's eerie. He pulls off the back of her skull, and her eyes go dark.

"Disabled," Doe reports, setting the burned head down to the side, then the other half of her head. "She's like me, but isn't. I don't like it." He opens her chest to remove the mass of pieces from the tech disruptor, and dumps them to the side as if it were disgusting or repellant. "Done. That's awful, no wonder she's corrupted. What was she doing here? Was she attacking?"

Captain America has posed:
Watching out of the side of his eye, the Captain makes himself look harder as the man continues to dismantle the robot. It's not Janet, not after she becomes more of a mannequin than a human being, and he feels his stomach settle -- it could also be the after-effects of such a sturdy thumping to the skull, but he dismisses it from his attention.

"Hell if I know what she intended. I got a call from the mansion about her going haywire and heading here. I meant to intercept and I did, for what it was worth." He scowls at himself before looking up at John again. "Figure she was a robot, but not this deep into Sentinel wiring. She must've been attacking." He gestures back at the hallway, with its burn marks and dents.

Iron Man has posed:
"She harmed you. It is /inexcusable/!" Doe vents. "I'm not the same as THAT thing." He suddenly backs away, rather quickly, from the dismembered robot. He'll just about flee from the room, without actually running, but Doe very much wants to get out of there. The reaction wasn't to the creepy parts, but to some other self-revelation, perhaps. "Give me a little time, please." He actually goes back to his semi-destroyed and empty cell, if he isn't stopped.

"Cap," Tony's voice comes into Steve's personal communicator. With a single word, it may be impossible to determine much of Tony's status, other than it's got a warning, a check, in the tone. A heads up.

Captain America has posed:
Having heard the single word enter his ear-piece, Steve simply watches the other man go. He gives T'Challa a concerned glance before he turns and walks the opposite direction, out into a smaller section of hallway. "Gotta take a call, feel free to look through the parts," he says over his shoulder towards the Panther.

Once beyond immediate hearing, the Captain looks askance and murmurs under his breath, "You got something, Tony?"

Iron Man has posed:
"Don't get attached or name it. I think we should shut down 'John Doe', to be direct, until we've got a handle on these sentinel assassin clones. Our system over there is getting battered with communication attempts, ET really, REALLY wants to phone home, maybe on purpose, maybe not."

Tony takes a breath. "By that reference, Capsicle, I meant he's callin' out. Anyway."

"...I'm blocking the communications and I've about hacked into it, but you're about to be standing on ground zero for something insane if this goes pear-shaped. Most of the Sentinels are grouping up. And by 'most of' I think ALL of them, from New York."

Captain America has posed:
Already frowning at the pointed suggestion as to the fate of one John Doe, named despite everyone's attempts to avoid such a thing, Steve looks up and out into the middle distance at the pop-culture reference.

"I got the reference, Tony," he mutters with a pop of his lips afterwards. Hands rest at his belt as he continues listening, looking back down the hallway at the sound of metal rustling. His entire poise stiffens at the rest of the news.

"You're kidding me." A beat. "Dammit," he spits.

Iron Man has posed:
"So, best case, I hack it and they disperse instead of visiting. I'm busy with this: trust me, you'll want me full bore on this, so I'll have to leave the relocation of our people there to you. Maybe you can coax your new pal to stop calling the mother ship, he seems to like you, at least. I'll keep you updated," Tony replies. He doesn't sound distracted or overly busy, but that's just Tony. Multitasking, usually very successfully.

Captain America has posed:
"Keep me live," Steve echoes to Tony specifically even as he breaks into movement. His bootsteps are pronounced and easy to track in the hallways. His fingertips flick his ear-piece to the total group comms and projects to all present.

"Team, we've got bogies incoming, a lot of 'em. Rally up and move to the perimeter of the site, I don't want us sitting ducks in this place. I'll meet up when I can." His jogging begins carrying him towards the detention cells and one John Doe. Already, the Captain's attempting to figure out how to broach the delicate subject of telling a captive to cease attempt to escape.
