Cast of Characters: Snake Eyes, Black Canary

Snake Eyes has posed:
Word has been going around Gotham that something big was going down at the docks. Not only are most of the gangs avoiding the area but the cops are, too. Things are pretty shady. It's unfortunate that whatever is going on, the word never got to the private security at the docks.

A crew of thieves is hitting the area, intent on a specific shipping container. And whoever they are they know what they're doing. Cell phone and radio jammers are deployed, cameras are hacked and shut down and then the thieves themselves move in. There's two teams of four, all of them armed with suppressed automatic weapons. The private security guards stand no chance against these guys.

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Drake was on patrol, driving her old armored Harley around the town - and got a weird feeling that something was going down - the docks were too quiet. She pulls up and takes a deep breath, as she dismounts the Harley, and infiltrates the area, wondering what she'll find, but gets a pair of escrima sticks - she thinks she'll need them, as she uses all her training to stay undetected.

Snake Eyes has posed:
As Drake sneaks into the docks she'll quickly notice one of the groups of thieves as they make their way towards their objectives. They're quick and quiet and know where they're headed. At each intersection in the shipping containers they check all angles of approach without slowing down. An unlucky guard has his flashlight out, just happening to head in the direction of this particular group. They stop when they hear him attempting to use his radio, "Uh... guys? All I'm getting is static. Can you hear me?"

Not too far away the other team is being watched from atop some shipping containers. Their observer is Snake Eyes, the ninja commando studying them closely to see what their next move will be. This group is approaching from another angle to sweep for other guards out among the containers. As they near one they use hand signals to indicate what they're going to do next. They move towards one of the guards and ready their weapons.

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Drake intercepts the guard who's on patrol and pulls him away and puts her finger to her lips. Quietly, she whispers, "You have professional thieves here - if I didn't catch you, you would've died in the next two minutes. I'm Black Canary. Let me handle this." She then snatches the flashlight and pretends to be going on patrol, smiling softly, acting the part of oblivious securtiy guard. She is unaware of the other presence.

Snake Eyes has posed:
The guard remains quiet, just nodding his head at the vigilante and moving off to quietly hide somewhere he hopefully won't be noticed. The team that was headed for him continues forward, quickly noticing the light from the flashlight. They ready their weapons and move forward, the leader making some quick hand signals to cause them to spread out slightly.

The other group begins to approach their guard but they're stopped short as Snake Eyes drops among them, striking out with rapid speed to take try to draw their attention his way. At hand to hand range he seems to be able to keep them from using their weapons, dodging between their blows to rain blows upon them.

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Drake just smiles as she waits for them to get closer as she drops the flaslight. She raises her hands. "I surrender!" she states softly. They raised their weapons anyway. "Your loss." And suddenly, the quiet of the night is shattered by the devastating SKRRRREEEEEEEEEE of the Canary Cry as the thieves were blasted into the closest solid surface. She charges at them with the escrima sticks, to ensure that they don't recover before she beast them up.

Snake Eyes has posed:
The thieves that Canary unleashed her powers upon are slammed into a hard surface and rendered insensible. It doesn't take her too long to finish the fight with her sticks.

Elsewhere one of the other group of thieves managed to fire a round off. Only Snake had pulled the weapon off to the side so that the round was popped off into another robber. The ninja draws his sword swiftly and slices smoothly through the criminals surrounding him, dancing between their attempts to stop him with an almost superhuman elegance.

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Drake hears more combat and decides to go over there. She sees four more thieves and... a ninja or something... dancing. She decides to wait a bit, but draws a throwing knife, just in case it's needed. It's an elegant dance as she keeps an eye on the four that she sang to to make sure nobody gets any ideas.

Snake Eyes has posed:
The ninja drops one, then another of the thieves with a pommel strike from his sword and then a kick to the jaw. The guy who'd been shot by his coworker falls back, turning to run away from the battle as the remaining guy tries to keep Snake Eyes busy. It's clear that he won't last long against the ninja, but the one now fleeing may be able to make his escape before much time passes.

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Drake throws the knife that she was holding and a direct strike to the lower leg, dropping him. "No escaping justice," she growls as she then turns. She walks over. "Well - this was fun. I'm Black Canary," she states, extending her hand in a greeting, moving very deliberately to show she's not a threat.

Snake Eyes has posed:
As Snake drops the remaining guy with a chop to the side of the neck he looks over at the newcomer and nods his head at her before sheathing his sword. His visored face seems to scan up and down, appraising the figure, before he takes the offered hand for a shake. There are worse ways they could have met under these circumstances. Once he gets his hand back he signs something at her that involves him tapping his mouth, then moves to cover it up with the flat of his hand. Slowly, he pulls a cell phone from a pouch at his waist and types something on it quickly, 'Nice to meet you. I'm Snake. Heard a loud noise, that you taking the other guys down?'

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Drake nods. "Ah - you can't speak. That's fine." She nods slowly. "Yes, it's my metahuman power. I call it the Canary Cry." She hmmmms softly. "Never seen you aroudn here before. You new to the area? I just started patrolling here a month or so ago."

Snake Eyes has posed:
'I work all over the place,' Snake types. 'Got word about this place getting shut down and wanted to check it out. Got guys en route to pick up these turds.' There's a gesture at the unconscious or otherwise disabled criminals. 'You work with anybody else, usually? I kind of like to know if I might be able to ask for help or if I can alert people to potential threats if I can't get to them.'

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Drake nods as she writes down a phone number. "I am an associtae of the Green Arrow, but he stays mostly in Starling. Around her - it's still a developing situation. But you can call that number and I'll try to come if possible. It's... ummm... it can't do texts. I don't like the fancy new-fangled phones."

Snake Eyes has posed:
Taking the paper from Canary Snake Eyes nods at the woman and gives her a thumbs up. He goes back to his own phone and pounds away at it, 'I've got text to speech stuff I can use. Anyway, unless you don't mind a bunch of government types seeing you out here you might want to take off. The guys coming in are cool, but they're still official types.'

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Drake smiles softly. "Yeah - I'd rather be scarce. I've had my time with government agencies - want no part of it." She smiles as she gets to her Harley and zooms off.
