Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Adam Warlock, Airachnid

Adam Warlock has posed:
Knowhere isn't the nicest place in the galaxy. There's all sorts of rough and tumble characters to be found there. Among them is Adam Warlock, the shiny, golden figure enjoying the scenery and watching the other beings go about their business.

The mage is hanging around near the docks, studying the comings and goings of ships and their owners. He doesn't appear to be waiting for anything in particular, just killing time. He chats quietly with a fellow with a bunch of tentacles, "And that is why I feel one should refrain from consuming strange foods without scanning them first. Just because another person can safely eat them does not mean that you can as well."

Airachnid has posed:
Airachnid is not unfamiliar with Knowhere nor is it unfamiliar with her. Cybertronians are not at all new to the galaxy and the massive mechorganic creature certainly cuts an impressive image when she steps off the ship what has brought her to this underbelly corner of space. Here for the singular purpose of checking the bounty boards, she moves with a sway to her hips that includes full swing of all six of the appendages extending out from the housing in her back.

"No trouble out of you..." Someone grumps up at her, hands up in response with a hint of a sinister grin beneath the black horned helmet on her head, "I wouldn't dream of it." As it turns out, this is not terribly far from where Adam Warlock is doing his people watching. Knowhere is a large place and it could take hours for them to inadvertantly run into each other. Expediation of key and happenstance is choice.

Adam Warlock has posed:
The vessel the Cybertronian arrives on catches Warlock's attention, causing his eye to widen slightly as he studies the vessel and the entity that exits it. Members of her species are fascinating to Adam and he finds himself strolling in her direction after telling the guy he'd been chatting with, "Please be careful. We will speak again."

His cape swishes behind him as he moves forward, intent on trying to interact with this newcomer. Should he manage to get close to her he'll call out with a friendly greeting, "Pardon me, but I am fascinated by your people. I am Adam Warlock. Would it be inappropriate for me to ask you about your people?"

Airachnid has posed:
Three appendages click in succession along the wall beside the hologen glowing bounty board while she flicks her clawed right index finger upwards to scroll through the near endless list of wanted aliens in the galaxy. She is not looking at names or list of offenses, so much as, their stated race. Her own inclinations are vulgar to say the least, but if her appearance is any indication at all.

Towering over most sentients, cybertronians are inherently inappropriately sized, but Knowhere accomodates all types of peoples, some even bigger still. One of the few places off of cybertron where she doesn't appear a biomechanical tree. "What?" Her voice has a slight echo to it, synthesized through vocabulation cords, "You wish to know of my people.." Turning then towards Adam, lowering down a little on the six arms clicking against the walking path, "Interesting. You have my attention. What do you wish to know, little creature?"

Adam Warlock has posed:
A smile appears on Adam's face as the Transformer addresses him, "I am curious as to why your species possesses such a rich variety of shapes and sizes. I find it fascinating how much one Cybertronian can differ from another." He seems to lack any sort of fear of the massive creature, but his tone is respectful. Even while speaking Warlock studies the person he speaks to, seemingly unwilling to miss anything. "Is it an effect of the Spark? I encountered a number of drones I was told possessed no Spark and they were all quite regular in appearance and abilities."

Airachnid has posed:
Airachnid watches Adam in a completely different kind of way with the same ultimate goal. She's a predator and looks as though she is, completely unbashful about it.. Or just incapable of hiding it. "We are as diverse as any species." Said simply, "With the possible exception that we were each designed for some purpose and, due to that, vary in form and function where only evolution and nature seem to dictate the form of biological creatures." One clawed appendage rises from the walkway to point at Adam, "What are you?"

Adam Warlock has posed:
"I am a being created by the High Evolutionary, among others," Adam explains. "Originally I was made to commit acts of great evil, but I instinctively rebelled against my creators and fled. Now, I work with the Guardians of the Galaxy and serve as the Avatar of Life." It's a lot of information to condense down so swiftly, but it's a fair trade to the man for the information he'd been given. "I have no particular species to call me own, but that is okay. Being an outsider grants me perspective most lack."

Airachnid has posed:
"Ahhh, the High Evolutionary." Airachnid is familiar, if only by reputation and passing, "So you are one of a kind, then?" Her bemused grin becomes suggestive of something as unwholesome as the way she looks at him. "I have heard of the Guardians of the Galaxy. I have heard they are idiots... are you certain someone as unique as you is not wasted with idiots?"

Adam Warlock has posed:
"I am the only one of my type, yes," Warlock confirms with a nod of the head. When the Guardians are brought up again he smiles faintly, "They do quite a lot of good for people. When they are not solely hunting a paycheck." His hands move to rest on his hips as he looks up at his new acquaintance, "I spend much of my time with others as well. I try to find ways to benefit the cause of life throughout the galaxy when I can, but it is hard to understand sometimes what exactly that means."

Airachnid has posed:
"Cause of life." Airachnid repeats that of all things with a snort and dismissive wave of her hand, "There is no cause of life anymore than there is a reason to life. It's chaotic and finite, measured unequally across millions of worlds and countless species with varying spans of life with which to view it." She rises up from her kneeling on the arms what have been supporting her and then they too rise up and slide into the housing on her back with holo-clicking sound of metal on metal, "I have no faith in life. Look around you at what comes of it, this horrible planet or my own for that matter. No being on no world is capable of looking beyond their own selfish desires long enough to achieve anything more than finding new and more inventive ways to kill each other." Pointing with one clawed finger, "And that, my little friend, is the full study of life. Ironic, I guess, that a creature created for the purpose of atrocities would want to willingly engage in things contrary to their purpose, but irony really is the last bastion of hope in the galaxy."

Adam Warlock has posed:
"I would say that maintaining life, and quality of life, is the cause," Warlock replies calmly, studying the Cybertronian. "Every being must engage in some sort of violence to survive, even if it is just the destruction of unliving matter to feed themselves. It is when there is unprovoked violence against sentients that I find myself drawn into the conflict." His head nods slowly, "And even those most adept at finding new ways to destroy can do good for people. I have a friend who possesses great talent with destructive implements, both wielding and creating them, and he has helped save people on numerous occasions for little or no reward."

Airachnid has posed:
"Certainly, evolution is a manual on adversity, but what I am describing is far more carnal than that." Airachnid stands her full height and crosses her arms while gazing up and down the streets around them, when she spekas again however, it's with eyes on Adam. "Living creatures singular purpose is to spread and when there is no more space for them to do so, to fight over what remains. There is no species on any planet who does not follow that course. This is a universal truth, when there is no more room, there will be conflict." Her head tilts curiously at Adam with pink glowing eyes hooded, "Do you know that six million species goes extinct every day? There are more extinct species in the universe than there are planets and that is the point. It's like putting your finger in a hole in the dam trying to hold back the flood... you will get wet and the town will still drown."

Adam Warlock has posed:
"I do not disagree with you," Adam says after a moment of consideration. "It is my hope that most will learn to live in harmony at some point. It is generally best for everyone to get along. Not always possible, but the attempt should be made." There's a little frown on his face, "My purpose is to preserve life, which sometimes means taking other lives. It is impossible to know all of the time what the right course of action is in most situations, but attempting to do what will maintain the highest quality of life for the most beings is usually the right consideration to make." Then he shrugs, "As for extinction, it happens. But at the same time who can know how many new species are evolving away from the eyes of sapient observers? Or which of those extinct species were just offshoots that weren't viable. One can't know what is right and what is wrong in those situations, or even if there is a right and wrong."

Airachnid has posed:
"Taking life to preserve life..." Airachnid's grin returns in ernest, "How very pragmatic of you, my little friend." Pointing a clawed finger in his direction expressively, "If you truly wanted to do the best good for the most people there is only one course of action that assures it: A slash and burn. Kill off portions of dead wood to make room for new life... or to just observe. Let it play out and see where the chips land, nudging when necessary, but staying hands off. Life is pain, life is death, these are truths." She takes a slow breath and clicks her tongue metalically against the roof of her mouth. "You are an interesting creature and I delight in the knowledge that someone like you exists, if for no other reason than the amusing revelation when you realize the absurdity of your methodology." Her hands unfold so that she can shrug, "I, however, am a poor judge of these things. I enjoy the thrill that accompanies watching the struggle."

Adam Warlock has posed:
"I will take your words into consideration, though I find myself disagreeing with them now," the mage responds thoughtfully. "All life is worth preserving to me, at least as far as that is possible. I find myself thinking that all too often new life must be created judiciously lest it grow out of control, but it may not be my place to make those kinds of decisions for others." There's a deep nod, "You've given me much to think about. I do not know if my mind will change based on our conversation, but I think it has been worthwhile."

Airachnid has posed:
"Adversity." Airachnid points again, grinning in that dark way of hers, "It is the secret ingrediant of all growth. Stagnation is death." She puts her clawed fingers together, "It has been interesting speaking with you, if a bit distracting and slightly frustrating in that your optomism is disappointingly misplaced." Her hands fall to her sides, "I would expect nothing less from someone who is one of a kind... I'll see you again, little friend." Stepping backwards a few paces, still watching him.

Adam Warlock has posed:
"It was good to speak with you as well," the smaller being confirms with a smile. "I wish you well in your endeavors." Warlock watches her in turn for a moment before he begins to walk off, letting the Cybertronian return to her business. "Should you have need and I am around do not hesitate to ask for assistance."

Airachnid has posed:
"I rarely hesitate to do anything." Airachnid assures with a smirk, curling her clawed fingers in a wave as she turns away from Adam to head back in the direction of her ship birthed on one of the docking ports. With only a glance back, she keys up her ships systems and preps it for departure.
