Synopsis: Norton hires Walker.
Cast of Characters: Typhoid Mary, Megatron

Typhoid Mary has posed:
Lately, Typhoid has been getting restless. It has taken quite a bit of effort by Walker to keep her at bay so that she can do her job. Considering she is the only one bringing in any sort of reliable income (that doesn't involve killing people), she would think the others would be a bit more grateful. They weren't.

Today she was in her apartment, printing out photo images to share with her client. The man wanted to know if his wife was cheating. Turned out, she was. She just had to have it all prepped and ready to present to him later in the evening.

Her apartment was neat and tidy, everything in its place. If it was moved, somebody in her head would notice and be displeased about it. It had taken a long time for them to strike a balance. The only odd thing is the post-it notes. They are in various places, in four different handwriting styles. They seemed to be from one person to the other, a way to communicate when they didn't see each other. Considering they were all her, it was the only effective way to get word to each personality.

Megatron has posed:
Mary Walker was not the first contact made. But she had a reputation for two things, results... and not balking at the difficult or the shady. It was the former that brought her to the attention of her next client, though she never would really know the how of it. Instead he was first just a voice on the end of the telephone...
The land line rang loud in that apartment, drawing her attention quickly enough from the printing out of the photos but presenting itself more as a nuisance than anything else. She reaches over grabbing the receiver, hitting the 'sp*phone' button to shift it to speaker. It's then that she'd first hear his voice.
"Mary Walker. My name is Norton Agamemnon and I would engage your services." It's a calm melodic British upper crust voice, easy going and well-spoken.

Typhoid Mary has posed:
"Walker Investigations," had been her curt answer to the annoyance as she continued to work through the images on the computer, choosing the best ones to show what was needed then hitting print.

There is a moment where her posture shifts, her expression softening as she hears the name he uses. It's gone as fast as it appeared, something he would never know had happened. Walker takes the reins once more, pushing Mary back for now. She might get some time later tonight but not while Walker was working.

"Please call me Walker and what sort of case have you got?"

Megatron has posed:
The pause is brief, then the voice continues with the same unexcited steadiness, simply imparting the information to her upon her request. "There are three individuals who are of particular interest to me." A small wait, as if to give her a chance to voice any cursory objections or to discern if she has any other obligations that might stop her from entertaining a new job. After she doesn't speak up he continues.
"Dr. William Bauer. Dr. Emile Foster. Dr. Justin Xiang. They are individuals I have worked with in the past and I've lost contact with them. They are, unfortunately, extremely private individuals so I would have any information you can gain from them using whatever methods you deem acceptable."
Before she can speak he says, "What information I have has been forwarded to your account. I have also taken the liberty to wire a retainer and grant access to an expense account. If you can not take the case then simply leave them untouched and return the transfer."

Typhoid Mary has posed:
That has her attention. Walker is taking notes of the names on a yellow legal pad with a pen that announces "Charter Bank" on the side. One of those cheap ballpoints that the banks are always willing to give to people who come in and visit. She writes out the names then pauses as she listens to his reason for trying to reach them.

The fact that he is already sending money and an expense account has her fingers on the keyboard again, tapping into her Charter Bank account to see if what he says is true. When she sees the amount, she can't help smiling a little bit. That will pay the rent for this month!

She pulls up the information he has on the three as she nods, realizing how silly it is to nod when no one is in the room to see it. To be honest, she isn't sure she believe the why of it but she certainly isn't going to argue with the dollar signs. "You just want to know their locations or as much information as I can dig up about them? Or is it more deliver a message for you so they can get in touch?"

Megatron has posed:
The pause before a response is almost non-existant as he tells her directly, "I would have any and all information. Serve me well in this and you will not be forgotten." A curious thing to say, but then the easiness in his voice is there once again. "This may be beyond your abilities, for it has been almost forty years, but whatever you can acquire will be acceptable."
Then there's a pause, just the space of three heartbeats where he says, "Do you have any questions for me, Walker?"

Typhoid Mary has posed:
"Forty years?" Walker echoes that number. That's before she was alive. Likely little to few computer records, unless they have family members who are posting pictures of their grandkids or something. Since it was doubtful this person on the phone had dealt with them as children, they would likely be in their sixties by this point. She checks to see if there are details about their ages when he last saw them.

"Why now? After forty years, why do you want to get information about them?" Probably not the most helpful question but Walker is curious.

Megatron has posed:
"Because I am weary, Walker. These last few years my existence has become unbearable and I have little time left to tolerate it. They are the only individuals who I have had some contact with, and if I should chance on them then I would see that I repay them for the years when I was unable to treat them as they deserved." The English voice is gentle, easy-going and perhaps with a hint of grief to it.
After a brief moment he adds, "I understand that success is unlikely. But I feel I would be remiss if I did not try any and all avenues to reach them."

Typhoid Mary has posed:
Very interesting. So this is one of those things where a debt is owed and he wants closure before his own life is gone. It's different from her usual type of case but she can't help but find it appealing since it won't involve chasing cheating spouses. That seems to be the cases she gets most of the time.

"Alright, I'll see what I can do but no guarantees. What did you all work on together? Maybe an idea about the business field will allow to to find contacts there."

Megatron has posed:
"Electronics, computers, telecommunication." The answers are given quickly, but unhurried. "Each of them are learned individuals who had great success in academia."
After he says that, there's a faint electronic squeal and a small crackle before Norton continues. "If you need to contact me, you have my email which has my information. I plan to engage other investigators if possible, Walker. But if you come to me with the information first then their bonuses shall be yours. Until next time."
Then the phone goes dead, leaving her in the seclusion of her apartment once again.
