Date of Scene: 08 May 2019
Location: Unknown
Synopsis: Magical Triad thugs try to take out Ota but did not count on April broadcasting them getting wrecked by The Punisher and Snake Eyes.
Cast of Characters: Ota, April O'Neil, Snake Eyes, Punisher

Ota has posed:
It is not particularly warm, but it is muggy. The kind of weather that makes your shirt stick to you uncomfortably and makes people happy to find their air conditioned homes or a cool basement bar. The fact the sun has recently set does not seem to help much, at least not yet. Traffic is lighter in East Brooklyn near the marine terminal, consisting mostly of the nightime flow of trucks restocking New York for the next day.

Ota wears a light black jacket and jeans despite the warmth. He looks both ways as he crosses a street and then stops facing the window of a pawn shop with an overhead sign that only half lights. After a moment he walks into the alley at the end of the store. A sleek black Lexus pulls away from the curb three blocks up and drives slowly up toward the alley. Just short of the pawn shop, the car pulls over and four young Asian men climb out. They scan the area and then start toward the alley. The lights catch the multi-coloured tattoos on their arms; scales and fire.

April O'Neil has posed:
April is on her black and yellow bicycle. Wearing a bright yellow hoodie, some jeans and a bike helmet, her sneakered feet pedal the bike along down the side street with the little lights on the bikes sides helping illuminate her to traffic on the road... so as to increase her odds of not getting smooshed.

The young woman is out and about tonight on her way to pick up an order of food for her friends and her destination is a pizza place not far from where this pawn shop is located.

April hops her bike up onto the sidewalk nearby, then slows to a stop and starts to dismount the bike, planning to walk it the rest of the way on the sidewalk. She sees the four men up ahead and the Lexus, but she doesn't think much of it yet.

Snake Eyes has posed:
Dressed in jeans, t-shirt and the mask that hides his disfigurement, Snake Eyes looks like almost anyone else on the street aside from the red Arashikage Clan tattoo on his right forearm.

The ninja strolls along down the road on his way from where he's been staying to the office he and his handlers are working out of lately. As he nears the pawn shop he spots the Lexus, admiring the vehicle for a moment as the fellows with the fancy ink exit it. Their tattoos attract his attention and he slows down a little bit to get a better look, nodding his head at the men.

Punisher has posed:
It's been a busy few weeks for the Punisher. Gearing up for a high stakes raid on a warehouse in the city takes time, planning, and an arms deal that recently went bad (read: Punisher killed them all after making sure the guns were legit) has him heading back to one of his tunnels to bring the new gear to the Armory under Manhatten. The Battle Van has all the look of an ordinary van as it goes through the city. Right now, he has no reason to be overt... so the Punisher is even obeying the speed limit as he goes.

Out of the corner of his eye though, the tattoos are spotted.

Did hunting season come early today? Targets of opportunity come when they come. Time to go to work.

The Battle Van pulls into parking near the mouth of the alley, and the Punisher brings up pair of electronic binoculars in case they're too far away to get a clean look at.

Maybe he'll get lucky and they'll be lined up for a quick four pop to the back of the head.

Meanwhile, the transceiver in the van is pressed, "Microchip, I've got some potential targets of opportunity. Sending you faces in a moment for a check."

Ota has posed:
Ota walks halfway down the alley and leans his back against the wall. Twenty feet further on the alley ends at barbed-wire fence marking off the port. To Ota, the four figures at the mouth of the alley are silhouetted by the street lights behind them. He frowns slightly and sighs. But he reaches into his pocket, lights a cigarette and takes a pull. One of the four men at the mouth of the alley does the same and makes his way toward Ota.

"You are late!" says the Asian man. He is about the same height as Ota, 5'7". A tight t-shirt and jeans show he is athletic as well. "I should make you more."

"And you are not alone," Ota replies with his thick Nigerian accent. "Perhaps I should not pay at all."

The two men consider each other for a moment. The Asian man, Shen, blows smoke toward Ota. "What do you want?"

"The old man said you could get me in contact with the alchemist," Ota replies. He opens his right jacket pocket just enough to show off a thick roll of bills.

Shen eyes Ota for a moment and then smiles. "The alchemist, yes." He waves toward the end of the alley and pulls out his phone. He checks a message. Two of the men there begin walking down toward Ota. The other stays at the mouth of the alley, arms crossed and facing outward. When Shen's two associates are walking up behind him, he puts his phone away and pulls out a knife instead. "But what if the Alchemist doesn't want to talk to black trash like you?!" Shen lunges forward and Ota jumps back, arms wide.

April O'Neil has posed:
Of course, April O'Neil is pretty oblivious to the whole of whats going on at the moment as she's walking along the sidewalk with her bike in one hand and her phone in the other. She's staring at the screen while tapping it with a thumb, her red hair flowing gently around her shoulders and the bike helmet still ontop her head keeping her hair out of her face.

She does look up when she sees the 'Battle Van' though and its sheer odd outer appearance does make her wonder precielsey who owns it... and she admires it too, after all its kinda awesome looking. As she nears this alleyway though, she can't help but slow her walking and peer down inside it...

Snake Eyes has posed:
Those fellows with the ink were pretty rude, ignoring Snake Eyes. And a bit suspicious. Guys getting out of a Lexus rarely head down alleyways. When a knife appears Snake's masked face frowns and he moves towards the guy blocking the alley.

The ninja doesn't bother trying to be sneaky or quiet about things. He's just going to try to go through the gangster type. Snake leads with a rapid fire combination of punches and chops aimed for the man's face and neck, trying to take him out as quickly and efficiently as possible. He definitely doesn't fight nice, trying to overwhelm his opponent before he can respond.

Punisher has posed:
"They all have extensive records in the arms business. The leader might be useful to find caches, if you can capture him." Microchip responds after about ten seconds. The hacker is quick, and it shows.

"Good."

A VP9 is pulled from the small cache in the cabin of the Battle Van, and a moment is spent putting on a silencer, before the Punisher opens the door, and out he comes, white skull vest, trenchcoat, and all. The pistol in his hand is a custom 9MM job, and while Snake Eyes going overt definitely gets his attention briefly, he's not about to question the help.

Instead, The Punisher aims down the alleyway and fires two silenced 9mm rounds right at the heads of the two thugs, leaving Shen unmolested, for now. He doesn't even miss a beat as Punisher just goes straight for Shen, proper.

His weapon might be silenced... but anyone on the street who knows that face and outfit will know the Punisher is going to work.

Ota has posed:
The stocky man at the mouth of the alley stands with his arms crossed over a tight t-shirt worn with black jeans and white sneakers. He openly looks April up and down as she walks near and leers. The man opens his mouth to say something when he notices Snake Eyes coming his way. The man holds one tattooed arm toward Snake Eyes to warn him off. His eyes open in surprise the instant before Snake Eyes' first strike hits him in the face. He turns with the blow, catches the second glancing off the side of his head. Then his head drops as he spins and his right leg comes up in a turning reverse snap kick aimed at Snake Eyes' head. The kick comes faster than it should, with a sensation oncoming inertia out of sync with the man's size. The tattoos on his arms glow and the serpents and flames move as the man follows through after the kick. He is bleeding from a cut above the left eye and that eye is rapidly swelling.

The Punisher snaps off his rounds. Bright, angry red glows flare from the necklaces the two men he shoots wear. The men go down as if punched in the head, one slamming face first into the ground. The glow around the neck of the face planter goes out completely, the glow from the other man flickers. The tattoos on his arm seem to come to life and the serpents coil around flames as he starts to pick himself off the ground.

Shen advances on Ota but is momentarily distracted when his associates are knocked flat. Ota uses the break in focus to pull a glock from the back of his pants and fire off two rounds to the center mass. Shen's necklace flares red and he staggers back three feet then straightens, looking more angry then hurt. His tattoos come to life. Shen springs sideways from a standing start, pushes off the wall with one foot and spins toward Ota with knife tracing an arc toward Ota's head. Ota crosses his arms in front of him and sets his feet. Two feet from Ota's head a blue shield leaps into place and stops Shen's attack dead. Shen reels backward.

April O'Neil has posed:
Needless to say, April goes from expecting some fat dumb foul mouthed man about to say something dumb at her... to a full blown fight breaking out in front of her, to be a shit shocking!

She tenses up and immediately starts to back roll her bike the way she'd come, but she goes to just let it fall over instead where it leans up against a couple of news paper vendors.

The redhead woman hears the gunshots from the Punisher as well (Silencers are still pretty loud at this range) so she slams herself up against a brick wall beside the alleyway and then peers around it...

Her phone is up and out as well being that this is 2028 and she was raised with a device in her hands, she's already recording (or live streaming) this fight! "Thats Frank Castle." April whispers as she spots the white skull on his chest. "Holy shit, thats Frank Castle."

Snake Eyes gets a stare too, his impressive martial arts on display, she aims the camera at him. "Why are their tats glowing." She quietly says, to her phone?

Snake Eyes has posed:
This fellow sure is tough. Any normal person would have been out cold after a combination like that delivered by Snake Eyes. The fact that he's able to manage a kick towards the ninja might come as a surprise, but the GI Joe trooper senses it coming and lifts his arms to block while turning his body to the side to get out of the way.

The suppressed gunshots register and the martial arts master is aware of targets going down, but he's more concerned with the immediate threat at the moment. His fists flash again, another rapid series of strikes aimed for the softer parts of the man with the glowing tattoos. Punches are aimed at the nose, trachea and temples. A chop flies towards the side of the neck. There's even a knee strike towards the solar plexus.

Punisher has posed:
"First fuckin' vampires, now glowing tattoo shields? Give me a fuckin' break." Punisher grates in a 'I'm so tired of this shit' tone loud enough to be heard by Aprils recorder, "Fine."

Punisher stands stock still as he starts to fire rounds into the three, with Shen getting VP9 rounds to the knees. Head, knees, head, alterating between the three in rapid succession.

It's almost like a machine gun going off, a semi-auto, extremely acccurate machine gun... and Punisher keeps going until the thugs are dead, and Shen is disabled.

"Glow your way out of this, assholes." Punisher continues.

Ota has posed:
Snake Eyes blocks the snap kick. It feels like stopping a car. But this car is apparently arrogant enough that it was not at all prepared for anything other than immediate victory. The man's face briefly registers confusion before the blows start. His hands move fast, faster than one would expect, but even so he barely manages to ward off the first blow. The following ones flow through his defenses like water through a sieve. Somewhere along the way the tattoos stop moving and he seems to stay up more because of the strikes than any control left in his muscles. He slumps to the ground against one of the alley walls at Snake Eyes' feet.

Shen, already off balance from hitting Ota's shield, catches two rounds in the knees and buckles. The red glow around his neck flickers as rounds slam into him and finally it goes out. The man goes slack, slumped on his knees with two bullet holes at the base of the neck. The gangster that did not get up takes a round to the side of the head and is messily dead instantly. The other one manages to turn to face The Punisher, holding his arms up to ward the incoming bullets. He starts to gesture and flame begins building between his hands, but bullets catch him in the head and knees. He spins, the necklace flickers out and another round takes him in the side of the head before he makes a full rotation.

Ota drops to one knee with Shen between him and mouth of the alley when the gunfire starts in earnest. He catches a glimpse of the t-shirt in a stray beam of light from overhead. As blood oozes down the front of Shen's shirt, Ota stands up slowly with his hands out, his gun handing by the trigger guard from one finger. "I'm a friend, just a friend," he calls up the alley calmly.

April O'Neil has posed:
April continues to hug the corner wall on the sidewalk on the front of a store. She's peering around the edge of the building and recording all of this while talking to her phone and describing it all, play by play of sorts. Her phone is focused on the martial arts combatants up until she catches the first gunshot related death that the Punisher dishes out and this makes her shift her camera back to him, picking up some of his dialogue too. "Jesus, Christ." April quietly says watching the murders take place... not exactly something she's used to.

"These aren't common thugs they're fighting." She talks to the phone like its talking back to her, because its a live stream and she has people watching. "Look at the magic." She says that just as the 'fire' illuminates her face brightly and is then sparked out just as quick.

"God, this is insane." She mutters further.

Snake Eyes has posed:
As the shooting stops and all the tattooed thugs are down Snake Eyes turns to look at the shooter, pressing his lips tightly together as he recognizes him. Then he notes the woman with her phone out, using it as a camera, and frowns. He might need a new mask after this.

Still, there's something going down here and he wants to figure it out before things go any further. Kneeling down he lifts the arm of the man he just took down and produces his own mobile device, snapping a few pictures of the ink for his handlers and the other Action Force intel guys to look into before patting down the dude for weapons.

He looks in Ota's direction, then at the Punisher. Hopefully the vigilante doesn't try to waste the man before getting him to talk.

Punisher has posed:
"Of course I get the weird triad assholes." Punisher grates as he starts to walk down to the end of the alley, right towards Ota. As he passes by the bodies, he puts another round into the skulls and hearts of the two thugs to be sure they're dead, without even looking down. It's practically reflex by this point. All without taking his eyes off Ota.

"I got nothin' on you. You're a ghost, which makes you very good at keeping off the grid, or very connected to the underworld."

A glance down to Shen, and Punisher delivers a swift kick to his head to knock him out. Then, back up to Ota. "You got a name?" Punisher grates out.

Ota has posed:
The man Snake Eyes rolls over groans feebly but does not move. Snake Eyes finds a knife, phone, bill fold and the keys to the Lexus on the man but nothing else.

Ota catches a glimpse of April and her phone at the end of the alley. He unconciously checks his lighting and steps just slightly to the right putting The Punisher between him and her.

Shen slides sideways to the ground. The bullet wounds below his neck probably shattered his shoulders but are not lethal.

"They call me Ota," Belonwu says to Punisher. He gestures to his back pocket, waits for an indication from The Punisher then pulls his wallet out from his jeans if he gets the nod. He flips it open so The Punisher can see the ID; CIA. "I am good at staying off the grid," he agrees. "I owe you my thanks, Mr. Castle. And your friend," he says quietly so his voice does not carry, with a nod towards Snake Eyes. "This was not the evening I wanted. It is good you happened by"

April O'Neil has posed:
"No, this isn't rehersed." April says to a commentor on her video, whispering loudly at the end of the alleyway. "No. I'm not at a gangster version of Medieval Times!" She says to another person before she stops reading chat for the time being. She darts her blue eyes up past her phone and watches the face off continue.

Punisher has posed:
"Frank Castle is dead. Call me The Punisher." Punisher looks to the ID. "keep your nose clean." A warning from the Punisher? He hasn't found a reason to add Ota to his guilty list, looks like.

Then, Punisher turns around and starts to head back down the alleyway... his free hand grabbing up Shen as he throws the man over his shoulder and heads back toward the Battle Van. He puts his VP9 into it's holster, then tosses the body into the back, before he takes out a medkit and works on stopping his bleedout.

Shen can't be interrogated if he bleeds out in the back of the van, after all.

Snake Eyes has posed:
A government agent? Snake looks at Ota again and shakes his head. He rises to his feet and approaches the CIA guy and Castle, still frowning. With his cell phone still in his hand he attempts to get a picture of the man who identified himself as Ota. If he's really government he shouldn't be too difficult for Action Force to track down later. As the Punisher grabs Shen and starts walking off with him the ninja follows closely behind. When the vigilante starts working on treating the gangster type Snake Eyes hops into the back of the van and motions Frank towards the driver's seat, then taps himself on the chest and gestures for the medkit.

Ota has posed:
Ota just nods when The Punisher tells him to stay out of trouble. He steps back a little further into the shadows by one wall when The Punisher moves away dragging Shen and winces slightly seeing the masked man take a photo of him.

Ota turns his back on the alley mouth and bends down by the two dead bodies. He snaps a couple of quick pictures, stuffs their phones in his pockets and heads toward the far end of the alley. He pulls back a loose edge of the fencing that looks like it was cut that day and walks off onto the port property between the rows of containers.

Punisher has posed:
There's a long, brutal stare at Snake Eyes as he invites himself into the back of the Battle Van without so much as pointing inside for non-verbal permission. A curious, hard stare it is. "I don't know who the fuck you think you are, boy, but you don't get to jump into my van out of nowhere." Punisher had already cleaned up Shen enough to make sure he didn't bleed out, and was watching Snake Eyes like a coiled cobra, ready to strike, "Fuck. You're lucky the police are on their way. I don't have time to get you to piss off."

The back doors slam shut noisily, and the Punisher means around to the driver side, opening the door and getting back in.

In the back, Snake Eyes can see the small computer terminal to one side, and a wall of customized, expensive looking hardware of all kinds. Rifles, shotguns, grenades, a rocket launcher and a recoilless gun. There's even a few AT-7s in a crate back there.
