Cast of Characters: Aguila 6, Ghost Spider

Aguila 6 has posed:
It's a good time for a kidnapping. While not something Aguila Military Innovations normally handles Grant Washington is too greedy to turn down an opportunity to make some money. The target is out for a jog in the park, enjoying the evening. They're accompanied by a pair of bodyguards, the protection wearing sweatsuits with suspiciously bulging fanny packs.

Watching the trio from a rooftop across the street, Grant Washington has the bipod deployed on a suppressed sniper rifle, watching the targets through the optic on the weapon as he speaks over his radio headset, "Alright. The target is almost to the road. You know the plan." Next to Washington is one of his soldiers, this one has a light machine gun ready.

Down on the street a pair of vehicles pull out from where they're parked. They're blacked out SUVs with guys from Washington's outfit in them, three to each truck. They head for the trio of targets on an intercept course.

Ghost Spider has posed:
Gwen, aka Ghost Spider aka Spider Woman (still not sure if that is trademarked) is out for a night of patrol.

She is very caffienated working her job, drumming, going to school, but if her outings so far have shown her she needs to work harder on her superheroing. Some of them have been going very well. That pyromaniac went very poorly. That stupid ninja got released by the cops as if they were never arrested.

One thing she has learned is that parks are hot beds of criminal activity once night falls.

Muggings. Assaults. Gang violence. Though no kidnappings yet on her watch.

She is watching the park from another building, kitty corner to the one Grant is on, waiting to swing into action, bad luck for everyone.

When the cars pull out and move to intercept Gwen leans forward and squints, her spider sense tingly, literally if lightly. Honestly she is still trying to figure out what the tingly sense means half the time. Car wreck imminent?

Aguila 6 has posed:
No wreck this time. The SUVs time their arrival with the targets arriving at the intersection they need to cross on their jog home. The vehicles screech to a halt in front of the target and his guards and men in military uniforms hop out with firearms leveled. Ready to fire their weapons, the mercenaries approach the soon to be kidnapping victim, and one begins barking orders at the trio in a South American accent, "Guards on the ground. Mr. Smith, you come with us."

From the rooftop Grant and his other soldier keep watch to make sure things go smoothly, though he's ready to interrupt at a moment's notice.

Ghost Spider has posed:
Oh holy crap. A kidnapping or well it could still be a gang problem. Hard to say yet.

Grant and his companion are going to get a chance to interrupt at a moment's notice.

Gwen leaps off the building she is on and fires a webline ... TWIP.... and swings hard and fast, landing with a flip and splayed pose (Hero Landing folks) on the top of one of the SUV.

"I'm pretty sure you aren't his Uber boys." and even as she says it she THWIPS from each wrist webslinger a web shot at the two of the four guards.

Aguila 6 has posed:
The guys from Aguila aren't prepared for a superhero, complete with superhero landing, to interrupt their kidnapping. Cops, sure, they can handle that, but a Spider Person might be a bit much for them. The webs strike the two mercs and they go down, all wrapped up. The other two guys don't hesitate, a testament to their training. They lift their rifles and aim them at the interrupting hero, pressing the triggers to engage.

From the rooftop Aguila 6 himself speaks to the machine gunner in fluent Spanish. The gunner also levels his weapon at the hero and gets ready to start shooting. Washington trains his weapon on a bodyguard, intent on gunning them down as they start to go for their weapons.

Ghost Spider has posed:
Gwen is fast. Very fast. She is also ready before they even lift their guns and turn them to her.

First off it is common sense right they will target biggest threat.

Also she has her spider sense which helps enhance her ability to react.

By the time the triggers are being pulled she is leaping like a jumping spider down off the van, going low while they are aiming high, and aiming to roll between them both and slap one of them with spider strength on the back of his knees to send him the direction she is already leaving, aiming to slam him into the side of the SUV if successful.

Speaking of successful, if she is, when she rolls up to her feet she THWIPS to web him to the side of the SUV.

"Come on boys this is just embarrassing yourselves."

Which is when a bodyguard probably gets popped much to her surprise. Since she isn't being shot, and isn't attuned to her spider sense as much as say Peter is, she assumed the buzz is the lower level buzz of just being in a fight, not someone about to be snipered.

Aguila 6 has posed:
The first bodyguard drops as a bullet penetrates his skull. The second will go down to Washington's gunfire a moment later if something isn't done. The machine gunner cuts loose at Gwen, going for a seven round burst of automatic fire aimed at her center mass.

The dude tagged behind the knees ends up against the SUV, stuck like glue to the side of the vehicle. His partner, the last remaining merc on the ground, dashes towards Mr. Smith, grabbing him by the collar and pressing the barrel of his weapon to the man's head. He tries to keep the victim between himself and the superhero while maneuvering towards the open door to one of the SUVs.

Ghost Spider has posed:
There is a shocked look at the bodyguard who is shot in the head.

It only lasts a moment.

When the gun from the roof is turned to Gwen she is already moving leaping away from where she was, to snag the other bodyguard and toss him towards the side of the other SUV, under cover from the roof top gunfire.

She pivots like a dancer, or well a person enhanced to superhuman levels with spider powers, and leaps to the SUV where she stuck the thug, twisting to dodge the bullets.

It is like she can... sense them coming at her before they get there.

"Okay that is horrible!" dismayed, upset, not crying but she might later.

She flicks both hands and thwips. One hand is a web shot at the last merc on the ground. The other is to attach a webline to Mr. Smith and yank him clear over to Gwen now if successful.

Aguila 6 has posed:
Grant Washington actually misses his shot as Gwen pulls the other bodyguard out of harm's way. The villain frowns behind his rifle as he watches the superhero doing her thing. The machine gunner keeps up his fire, burst after burst. Quietly, in rapid fire Spanish, Grant orders his drivers to take off.

Spider Woman is successful at taking care of the mercenary who drops when he's encased in webbing. Mr. Smith is pulled over to his rescuer, screaming at the top of his lungs. It is a very bad day for him. Unfortunately, the SUVs now start to move, their drivers intent on getting them out of there, even though people are attached to the outside of them! It's a horrendously dangerous type of situation.

Ghost Spider has posed:
There is an audible grown from Gwen as the SUV's start to peel out, because of course they do.

Her spider-sense also spikes before the squeal of tires.

Holding Mr. Smith and firing another webline at his bodyguard she leaps and then races. Aiming to burst through one of the windows on ground level across the street from the park. Letting herself take the glass but trying to get them both off the street now.

Aguila 6 has posed:
As the SUVs roll down the road Grant and his battle buddy depart their rooftop, heading for where they've got rappelling gear waiting to get them to their own vehicle in an alley. Even in defeat they seem very efficient.

With nothing trying to stop her the superpowered person is able to get where she needs to be with her people intact. She'll hit pretty hard, glass at street level doesn't like to break, but with her super strength and toughness she'll get through it just fine.

Ghost Spider has posed:
Gwen will make sure both of the people are okay, and gesture to the cowering people in the cafe she just burst through the window of. "Uh.. someone call the police if you haven't already and stay down." she gives Smith and his bodyguard a nudge to get down.

Then she hops back out of the cafe and makes a frustrated noise about the SUVs being gone. "Shoot!" so she turns and leaps up onto the wall and scrambles towards the roof ..hoping to maybe catch the sniper.

Not that she won't bat out there as well. "Double Shoot!"
