Bugger Off
Date of Scene: 19 May 2019
Location: Antaeus-5, Sector 1624
Synopsis: Bounty hunters and Lanterns fight monstrous insecticons, albeit for different reasons.
Cast of Characters: Blurr, Saint Walker, Lobo, Kinsey MacKenna, Gigas

Blurr has posed:
A mysterious party has offered 3 million credits of intergalactic currency with 500k as a down payment to anyone who can retrieve some kind of insectoid robot from a backwater planet in sector 1624. Only...that sector is mostly Cybertronian space--a race known by anyone with any kind of knowledge of the galactic community to have a pretty consistent habit of destroying everything they touch and laying waste to everyone they cross paths with. That's probably why the bounty is so high. Oh and they also want them alive and functional, so that certainly adds to the challenge.

The destination planet is the uncharted Antaeus-5, a densely forested terrestrial ball covered in rainforests. Wild and uncivilized, yet beautiful. Who knows what manner of beasts and monsters lurk down there, or if there are any intelligent lifeforms? If there are, they've never made contact with the rest of the galaxy. Of course, primitive doesn't always mean harmless.

At any rate, anyone with any kind of tracking method would pick up on a fairly fresh ion trail that can be traced down to the surface, indicating the presence of a recent crash or landing site of another space-worthy vessel. So if these mechanoid monsters are anywhere, that's probably where they landed -first-, since the planet doesn't exactly look like the sort that could give rise to cybernetic beings. The stakes are high, but are they -too- high for the galaxy's intrepid explorers, heroes, and adventurers?

Saint Walker has posed:
It had been a few weeks since Kinsey and Walker had encountered Blurr. The Cybertronian had much to their amazement managed to slip their tracking for a time, but the Blue Lantern Corps was nothing if not obsessively dogged in its pursuit of do-gooding. So when their rings pinged with the familiar ion trace there was no question if they'd change course and go and investigate.

His ring calculating the most likely destination of the trial, Saint opened a wormhole to the spot and slipped through leading the way into the space around Antaeus-5. Coming out the other side he waits for Kinsey, speaking through his ring when she arrives.

"It appears our friend may have crash landed, would you like to lead the way? You've had better luck connecting with him than I have."

Lobo has posed:
Close the door, put out the light. No they won't be home tonight.

What did any of that mean? Didn't matter, 'cuz the Main Man was on the job. Flying through the vacuum deep in his own mind he almost didn't get the holovid alert on his dashboard until the blinking pink light snapped him out of his reverie. He saw the job details, noted the risks, and instantly that visage of his curled into a yellow-toothed grin.

He'd pulled a 'U' and flew through countless asteroid showers and minefields expertly, and now with a yawn and a belch he was finally hurtling through atmosphere and smelling O-Zone, even as a wave of cool air born from millions of trees giving off oxygen washed over his form. As he cut across in front of the recently arriving Lanterns, the albino-skinned troublemaker glanced over his leather-clad shoulder at the two of them, blowing a kiss followed by a middle finger. On some planets and in some cultures where creatures have hands with multiple digits, a middle finger could be a friendly greeting, or sometimes even a declaration of fertility during breeding seasons. Coming from Lobo, neither of those were probably the intention.

Kinsey MacKenna has posed:
"He's a stubborn sort," Kinsey responds to her mentor, Saint Walker. "I'm not sure why I feel so responsible for him, but I'd feel wrong if I didn't at least make certain he was okay. It would be rather irresponsible to save him from one certain death only to leave him to another."

Saint Walker is right, Kinsey MacKenna did seem to have some sort of connection to him, whether by virtue of that bond from saving him, or something else, but immediately she asks Kibou to seek out the signature of the cybertronian's ship from their prior encounter, than Kibou happily announces he's found it, and delivers co-ordinates to the pair.

"Should we, Brother Walker?" And barring any other instructions, she leads the way.

Gigas has posed:
Money? Adventure? Travel? Possibly encountering a race that is hellbent on his obliteration and-or subjugation? He's in!

It doesn't take much to get the attention of the colossal galactic strongman known only as Gigas..but a 3 million credit bounty with a 500K deposit is..well..certainly high on the list of possible lures. Of the Blue Giant is hardly one to wisely invest his riches, instead known more for his lengthy partying spree's and hedonistic activity with what money he does make..but hey..one has to work in order to maintain a lifestyle of choice.

And so, he's incoming to the crash sight, having already tracked the trail and then come planetside. His ship is nearby, but he himself has opted to take a closer look on his own which he does by hurtling across the horizon and descending like a small meteor towards the aforementioned landing sight. Being able to cover miles in a single leap has some advantage though his landings are far from subtle. Eh, noting in the description said anything about needing to be subtle.

Thus when he impacts, it's with a thunderous *TOOM* that triggers a minor local seismic event. He bounds forward out of the debris cloud in a smaller leap and skids to a stop to take a closer look around. Almost immediately he is distracted by an alert from his ship and he glances down at his bracers ..and lightly frowns. More are incoming. "Hmmm?." He rumbles, and then grins stupidly, deep voice rumbling like grinding boulders, "Sounds like a party!!"

Saint Walker has posed:
"I can see your reasoning and I quite agree, he is our responsibility," Saint says nodding as he hovers surrounded in his blue aura.

He makes no protest when Kinsey makes a move to lead the way and indeed he follows when she makes for the surface, frowning when Lobo crosses their path on the way to the same.

"Hmm, this may be interesting, that was Lobo, one of the most dangerous bounty hunters in the universe," a frown crosses his face. "Blurr may be in considerable trouble."

Blurr has posed:
Those who follow the ion trail down planetside would find a Cybertronian vessel crashed in the middle of the forest, having flattened quite a few trees and created a massive crater. There are holes in its hull, and it definitely looks like it was -shot- down, as opposed to simply having run afoul of some environmental hazard or mechanical failure.

There are all kinds of tracks all over the ground around it, so many that it's hard to make out which ones belonged to whom at first glance, but anyone took a moment to examine them further, they'd see that 3 sets leading off in one direction seem to have been made by giant feet, whereas some rather faint marks are leading in a different direction and appear to have been made by some kind of vehicle.

The footprint trail follows a large river headed due west, and in the distance off in that direction there appears to be smoke coming from somewhere in the forest. Is it a camp, a settlement? A village, maybe? And, the vehicle trail leads more northwest, toward a hilly area.

Lobo has posed:
The Czarnian Death Machine(tm) was continuing on his way to follow the ion trail, when the sudden impact was heard some distance away. The shockwave was felt moments later, The Hog bucking in mid-air and almost flipping before the expert rider that Lobo was righted it with a loop-de-loop. With a sneer and a low growl deep in his throat, the bounty hunter muttered to himself.

    "Some supergeek, shoulda known."

Lobo made a mental note of where the impact originated, but he didn't deviate from his original course. Instead he just grabbed the hardened crystalline bottle of hard liquor, popping the top and letting the bottlecap flip down into the dirt somewhere, and continued on with one eye watching the skies while he took himself a hearty swig.

Arriving and hovering in place 20 feet over the mysterious site, The Main Man was taking his time, as he slowly geared up and grabbed for the weapons he was 'feeling' more at the moment. True he was nigh unkillable, but that was no reason to rush things.

Kinsey MacKenna has posed:
Kinsey's brow furrows with consternation at mention of Lobo. He'd been one of the ones nearby when the MacKenzie station had been sabatogued - not that he'd been part of it, but still, even based on that she was not wont to see him in a good light. He'd not helped destroy the place, but he'd not helped, either. At mention of him being a bounty hunter, Kinsey is only encouraged to make further haste.

"No, that can't possibly be good. Blurr may need our help." Even if Blurr might also be strongly bending rules they'd have to uphold. Still, alive and incarcerated was always better than dead, right? Kinsey cheered herself with this thought.

Saint Walker has posed:
"I would say that has become a certainty," Walker says of Blurr needing their help.

As Kinsey speeds up so does Saint his blue comet of energy pulling alongside Kinsey's own heading for the site of the crash. Scanning with his ring, he spots the footprints and frowns, "It definitely seems our friend is not alone, if you want to look for them I shall make sure the sources of these other prints don't cause us any problems."

Gigas has posed:
Another leap brings Gigas plummeting towards the actual crash site just as he spots Lobo darting overhead and settling into a hover. This follow up leap is much shorter then the last one but the earth does lurch yet again, rumbling with echoing thunder that continues with the impact of the blue behemoths steps as he plods brazenly towards the crashed Cybertronian ship.

"Very messy!" he declares, speaking to nobody in particular though Lobo is sure to take note of him given that he's so large he's actually not that far below the Czarnian's hovering height.

The tracks are of particular note though and Gigas rubs his brick of a jaw in consideration of which direction to go in..especially considering the size of the one set of footprints actually compare favorably to his own, if not larger. "Hmm..crashed ship survivors!" he presumes before looking over the other footprints. "..Natives?" he considers while frowning a touch more. Which way to go..?

Lobo has posed:
Looking down and giving a sneer, The Main Man pushed a few buttons of his ride's dashboard, and leapt from the flying craft even as it suddenly streaked and rocketed into the sky, circling around the site in a four mile radius in a perpetual defensive pattern until Lobo needed it again. This meant the ghost-white badass was falling and twirling through the sky, landing in a cool half-crouch beside the bulbous Gigas. And as he stood back to his normal height, his scatterblaster held in his left hand while rows of throwing knives were strapped across his bare tattooed chest, he grunted while glaring up at the blue-hued Titan.

"Finders keepers, stumpy. Clear on outta here, an' leave the real work ta' the real professionals!"

That declaration was followed by a belch and a snort, and he may have been slightly buzzed.

    Maybe.

Kinsey MacKenna has posed:
Kinsey has two things on her side: Both the capabilities of Kibou, and the ability to track different spectrums, but as well, the very fact that her experiences in xenobiology allow her to pick up the faint traces amongst the rubble that indicate the likelihood of the insectopod she'd seen with Blurr before. That, or another, but either way, it's the best lead they've got, especially with the others on site. She's more than willing to avoid both Gigas - who she doesn't know, and Lobo - who she does (relatively speaking).

Instead, she nods to Walker, telling him quietly, "These prints are likely the creatures he was collecting when last we met him. Though if they're free, that isn't good either." He might not have seen it, but Kinsey remembers one trying to taking a chomp out of her leg. Or, more precisely, trying to chomp off her leg. "Do we deal with the others first, or try to locate him?"

She's not aware that there is a bounty on the creatures, working on the assumption that Blurr is the target - and he may well yet be a target too.

Saint Walker has posed:
"A reasonable conclusion and while I did not see them in action I agree, we should avoid conflict with those insect robots if at all possible."

As for the others? Saint scans them. "They are quite formidable prehaps we should see if they capability to reason out strips their grooming standards, I would prefer not to have to fight both them and the robots."

Gigas has posed:
When he last encountered Lobo, Gigas greeted him by accusing him of derailing a job and then punched him into what passed for the skies of Knowhere. The two then began a brawl that had to be stopped by Adam Warlock?

All of that seems to be water under the bridge to Gigas he greets Lobo with a big full toothed grin and politely corrects him, "I am not Stumpy, I am Gigas." .. In fact, he may not even remember their brief spat. Or at least he doesn't show any signs of doing so.

"Hmm..I was here first. Sort of." Either way, he shows no signs of leaving and just grins down to Lobo at the other mercenaries glare. He then raises a colossal arm and points n the direction of the trail of large footprints. "I will go this way."

He also begins to take note of the others. The blue contrail of Lantern standing out to him as he swivels his head like the turning of a tank turret. "Hmm..perhaps to big of a party!" Mind you, the bounty is more then enough to share with others but..who wants to do that?? With that he turns, intending on following the tracks unless stopped.

Blurr has posed:
The trail left by the giant insectoids is quite obvious. In a forest like this, it's not just footprints they left, but a chaotic mess of fallen trees, trampled shrubbery, and uh...squished wildlife, some of it looking (and smelling) to be a couple of Earth days old. What's more, some of the damaged flora and fauna actually look like...half-devoured. As if something had literally chomped on it and eaten part of it. Particularly the dead animal remains.

The trail goes upriver, and it won't be long until Gigas and whoever else happens to head that way will draw near to some kind of village or town, the smoke from it rising above the trees. But something isn't right--noises can be heard coming from the settlement...screams, smashing, and howling from something or somethingS very large and very nasty.

Lobo has posed:
Lobo was starting to stew. A frontal assault wouldn't get him the result he wanted with Gigas, which meant he had to bide his time, and figure out a way to get rid of this obstacle...not to mention the two space cops who've made their appearances known. The Main Man was the toughest Bastiche he knew, but those fancy little rings were tricky weapons to contend with. There were ways to get rid of these hurdles, but those ways would have to come later. 'Bo would have to...play it cool.

"Yeah, it's like an orgy if it sucked. Well, no point in wastin' time 'round here."

Slinging that weapon over his shoulder, the leather-clad Czarnian Wrecking-Ball(tm, patent pending) began to follow the trail same as everyone else, tightening his gloves and pulling the chain and hook from inside his vest to start wrapping around his right forearm. When they eventually came across a sign of civilization, and the screaming and slaughter could be heard, Lobo looked around with a big smile on his face.

"Well that's magical, sounds like a symphony goin' on. Almost don't wanna interrupt whatever artist is down there, followin' their art-heart."

After a moment of snickering, his face dropped and turned serious.

"On the other hand, my payday could be down there. It's time ta get ta work."

Saint Walker has posed:
A village in trouble is pratically the Blue Lantern stock and trade. Hearing the screams, Saint Walker's lips draw into a thin line of concern. "We may have to hold off talking to the bounty hunters until later," he starts to fly in that direction his ring carrying his words to Kinsey, it seems the insect robots have found someone. Stopping them should be our priority."

He scans ahead to get a sense of what is going to be waiting for them.

Kinsey MacKenna has posed:
In the matter of situational triage, the matter goes village>Blurr>insecticons.

It's not even a decision that Kinsey makes, moving effortlessly towards the village to both assess and to ascertain where and how she can bets help out.

"Like I was going to let you do anything else," she teases Saint Walker lightly when he informs. "Would we be best to both strike, or to divide forces? There may be wounded to attend to." What she doesn't want to say is that she's not sure she can bring herself to attack the creatures, even if they are destroying property and attacking others. Immobilize, yes. Shield folks, certainly. But after her her encounter on Kyzil she'd found herself increasingly unable to bring her Lantern poers to bear with offensive thoughts in mind.

Gigas has posed:
At sight and sound, and possibly smell, of the carnage going on some distance away, Gigas likewise comes to a pause to consider the situation. While there is some goodness in his heart, with the capacity to grow three sizes, even, he's also of similar mind as Lobo. He's on a job - does this relate? He purses his lips in thought and then concludes..it probably does. Plus it's hard to pass up an opportunity for a fight.

He laces his fingers together and cracks his knuckles. Impossibly huge muscles stretch, bulk up and pile mass and sinew atop one another as potential aggression fuels his anticipation for a slugfest.

Looks like fun to be had!" he declares before taking a sfew steps forward - and then he leaps. Hulk would be proud...or issue a cease and desist. His lift off craters the ground and sends a trail of the forest behind him like an asteroids contrail as he lunges skyward and then down again towards the combat zone.

Blurr has posed:
Gigas would bear witness first, then Lobo, then Walker and Kinsey when they end up following the bounty hunters, but eventually the group would lay eyes upon a very chaotic scene. What appears to be a primitive native town full of fox-like humanoids is being assaulted by three massive, monstrous creatures. These creatures, as Kinsey had suspected, were similar to the one she'd seen Blurr collect earlier. In fact, the mantis-like thing he had incapacitated before is indeed among them. This time, there are two others: one resembles a giant hornet, and the other resembles a dragonfly with a scorpion-like tail.

Indeed, innocents are definitely in danger, as the monsters are making a mess of things. As the Lanterns arrive, the mantis-like one grabs a group of natives in its claws and then devours them with its powerful jaws, some of their remains still left hanging off of its claws and mandibles. Many of the small, thatched-roof buildings and houses are already in shambles or completely flattened.

However Gigas' arrival--and considerable size in comparison to the others--definitely attracts their attention. Even before he hits the ground, the dragonfly thing flies up at him and lets loose with a high-pressure sstream of acidic green saliva straight at the purple giant.

Lobo has posed:
Not only did Gigas' jump create a sizeable crater where he once stood, but it also resulted in almost massive billowing clouds of dirt and dust to kick up and swirl around, letting the bounty hunter cough and wipe it away miserably. Dust was wiped out of his handlebar mustache, out of his hair, dust patted away from his black leather vest and pants which now were slightly less cool looking.

    "Awright. Time ta rock."

He broke out into a light jog, only speeding up when he was halfway toward the town and seeing Gigas actually land in the center of danger. Only when he was almost there did he also take to the air with a leap, that sharpened metal hook hurling out and aiming to bury itself in the robotic skull of the airborne dragonscorpionfly. In his left hand was his Rippergun, the rugged uzi-like weapon firing long, rusty nail-shaped bullets indiscriminantly. This many enemies they'd be easy to hit, and an expert marksman would be able to avoid any civilian targets.

Of course...Lobo wasn't an expert marksman. But at least there'd be less dorks around getting in his way, less intergalactic traffic if these horrible furred things ever left their own planet.

Saint Walker has posed:
Saint's eyes widen when the creatures are snatched up and eaten, he's too far to stop it but he can at least stop others from being harmed.

It is then he answers her question, "I will deal with this one," he spares a glance for where Lobo is firing. "Then we should get the people far from here, as fast as possible."

His attention is turned to the Mantis then, he raises his ring and summons construct bands around his arms and body, with the hope of pinning those arms to its sides, then a band around is mouth, keeping it closed.

Kinsey MacKenna has posed:
There's a hollow, sick feeling in the pit of Kinsey's stomach watching the destruction, and the carnage of the natives. But even that isn't enough to allow her to draw upon her ring and engage the creatures in kind. But it doesn't stop her from striding forward (or floating forward - she does have a ring, after all) and inserting herself between the things and the village, and throwing up a shieldwall.

It might not hold, but it should hopefully last long enough for the others to engage and destroy the mutated insects.

"I'll guard the village, Brother Walker. You do what you must."

Gigas has posed:
"Oop!!" is all Gigas manages to get out before crossing his arms and plowing right into the pressurized blast of burning acid. Being that he's leaping ..or rather..falling with style?he can't avoid it but fortunately for all eyes present, the majority of the assault engulfs his upper torso and avoids his leggings. Unfortunately for -him- this means he is knocked off course and sent tumbling to the ground in a massive spill that chasms the area around him and sends him tumbling into one of the few standing huts.

His ego is more bruised then his body and sizzling and smoking, he stands up while wiping away any acid attempting to cling o his body as swiftly as he can. Though as invulnerable as they come - it's not something he wishes to have linger on him. A quick glance and a nearby rebounding of one of his shots, reveals Lobo's actions and another look shows the lanterns seem poised to deal with the Mantis one..

as such, he turns his attention towards the hornet. As he strides forward, his body pumps up even larger. Cosmic like energy crackles around him in flashing waves of purple hued lightning as he clenches a fist and bunches up a bicep the size of some of the huts. The earth rocks more and more as his weight increases and hi8s physique reaches insane levels of magnitude.

"Ridiculous." rumbles the behemoth, "Nothing can stop my muscles."

With that, he leaps again, dragging a cocked arm behind him and then twisting, a shockwave forming as he launches a clenched fist at the hornet.

Blurr has posed:
The dragonfly mutant was about to charge at Gigas when it suddenly gets hooked by Lobo and struck by his ballistic weaponsfire. Screeching angrily, it raises its tail and fires a high-voltage bolt of electricity at him. Meanwhile, the Main Man's somewhat indiscriminate (or at least not expert marksman) fire is definitely hitting structures and natives and also knocking stuff down onto them.

Oh, and the earthquakes Gigas is causing are also not helping when it comes to those poor locals. While Kinsey manages to shield a group of them that were about to become giant robot hornet dinner, another group gets a building collapsed onto them thanks to the quake of Gigas' landing. One of the aliens Kinsey is protecting stares up at her desperately. "P-please, th-the others!" It begs in its own language, looking around at the devastation that is occurring. Hopefully Kibou can translate.

Now that the hornet thing has been blocked off from its prior meal though, it turns its attention toward its attacker, who is actually much bigger and more delicious looking than those puny hairy things. It gets socked in the face by a massive punch, causing it to howl in pain and anger, but this doesn't stop it from attempting to sink its massive mandibles into his flesh and tear at it like a giant steak, while also injecting the wound with nasty venom.

Walker's rings seem to immobilize the mantis-like creature, its claws getting squished to its sides. It struggles mightily, turning around and rearing up on its hind legs. Suddenly, some of the spikes on its shoulders and back shoot out, straight at the Blue Lantern!

Lobo has posed:
Click click click, empty. Lobo tossed the gun aside carlessly even as the shrieking bugbot fired off its electrical impulse. The burst of energy ripped through the Main Man, his yellow thick skeleton briefly visible as his hair stuck out on end, and when the burst was done he was smoking and freshly sizzled, though a waiter would declare him still bloody rare.

"Azza matterafact, one of a kind! HAWWW HAW HAW!"

As he guffawed at the punchline to a joke that was only in his head, he continued to plummet, his hook still stabbed through that dragonbotfly's head area. And suddenly, as the chain pulled taught and Lobo reached the limit, he yanked DOWN on it with both arms to pull the mechanical creature back down to solid ground. He kept pulling, kept yanking and the second the thing was within range, if it ever was? That was when it would get blindsided by a sudden field goal kick from a creature that was far, far smaller than it...But it might discover that The Czarnian Avatar Of Destruction And General Mayhem(tm) was an explosive threat at any size.

Well, maybe he was. If this thing was super mega-god strong, then maybe a kick to the chin wouldn't be as big a deal. But it might sting a little!

Saint Walker has posed:
"Well /that/ is unexpected," Walker pronunces as the spine missles rocket towards him.

He had to time this properly to reduce the how long his grip on the mantis would be weakened.

1, a little closer, 2 a little more, 3 almost there and...

Walker suddenly shifts from being opaque to translucent as he slips out of phase letting the spines pass through him. While he does his grip on the Mantis weakens slightly.

Kinsey MacKenna has posed:
That plea hits Kinsey where she lives, and while she's reluctant to leave these behind to save the others, there is also the balancing of their despair. Their hearts are heavy with fear for their comrades..

It's a no brainer, Kinsey making haste to the collapsed building, and using the Blue Light of Hope to both raise the roof, but shield those beneath it from falling debris and further damage. When the supports are sufficiently lifted, she'll brace the thing with a construct that she might start evacuating those who were trapped beneath. Hopefully there won't be casualties!

Kinsey lets the hopeful thought fuel her.

Gigas has posed:
They are tougher then expected as usually the most casual of Gigas' punches have sent some opponents sailing over the horizon. The strength and durability of these monsters is thus noted by the blue titan. He lands, digging another set of craters around his boots..and then reaches up with a massive forarm to catch the descent of the mandibles and allow them to sink into his flesh. His is not an easy thing to bite into but against such piercing efforts, sufficient strength can break his skin and he's in no position to simply no-sell these monsters efforts as a result. The mandibles begin to sink in and Gigas grits his teeth in a half sneer, half grin. But there are some advantages here. Namely the creature having to get in close to him.

"Ho! That stings!" declares Gigas, "You must be able to break a capital ship with that bite! Are these 'Cybertronians'?" He pushes back against It, bracing his massive body against the ground and sneering at the burning feeling of the venom attempting to rush into his systems. "As they say. DOWN BOY!"

Another of Gigas' punches comes hurtling in as his body swells even larger with more force being unleashed. Energy crackles around him, following the swinging arc of the fist in tendrils that look like the jagged chaos of lightning as mountain breaking force is directed at the underside of the Hornet. A thunderous upper cut that would trigger earthquake warning systems if they were on a more sophisticated planet. Brute strength, it's what he does.

Blurr has posed:
Lobo is quite a bit smaller than the thing...but, he does pack a pretty serious punch, and is strong enough to pull it down to the ground. The uppercut knocks the creature sideways, requiring it to take a moment to recover before it screeches again and attempts to devour him just like it had devoured some of those unfortunate villagers.

The spikes pass harmlessly through Walker's phased body, however, the weakened grip on the mantis-like insectoid allows it to pull one of its massive claws free, which it uses to attempt to take a swipe at the first Blue Lantern.

Kinsey's efforts go unhindered by the monsters, thanks to the efforts of the other heroes present. Most of them are mostly okay, but some are severely injured from having been crushed by the falling building. But! The ones that she had saved from the insectoid before are rushing to aid the rescue effort, trying to get the injured out from under the rubble while Kinsey holds it up.

The hornet-like monster digs into Gigas' hide, and pulls some flesh free, devouring it like a ravenous wolf. Indeed, these things were capable of eating the hulls of ships, which was why they needed to kept in containment fields! However, Gigas' mighty punch sends the thing flying this time, and it smacks into the side of a nearby hill and flops to the ground, unmoving for now. 1 down, 2 to go....

Lobo has posed:
That hook, nicknamed 'The Bisley', was a fine piece of blacksmithing, a weapon dense enough to withstand the kind of abuse that a super-strong, super-cool bastiche tended to put it through. That hook was ripped right out of the DragonFlyBotiCon's jaw, swinging through the air and being pulled back to its wielder. This was so The Main Man could put it aside and pull out two different weapons as he yelled out loud and charged forward to meet the big metal idiot halfway. The creature opened its mouth and the Czarnian leapt forward, both of his feet planting along the sides of that jaw as his left hand stabbed a machete upward, to try and stab through the metal of the roof of its mouth. In his right hand? That lever-action scatterblaster, which he pumped and twirled one-handed before yelling upward.

"Eatin' me ain't recommended, Clyde, yer likely ta get the runs!"

And that was when he aimed for the throat. And squeezed the trigger. A lot.

    CH-CH-BOOM!

Saint Walker has posed:
So much destruction...

However Saint has more pressing matters to worry about right now, namely the thing's metal claw. Though the answer to that problem is simple. Stay phased.

Which is what Walker does, as he asks the creature: "Are you able to survive in a vacuum? Actually never mind, I can find out for myself, hopefully you can because I don't believe it is safe for you here, or safe for us to be around you."

He scans the creature with his ring, checking if it could indeed survive in space without help.

Kinsey MacKenna has posed:
Kinsey's faithful Hope is proven warranted, and even though therea re injured, that she can deal with with the help of Kibou - and with the others dragging the injured to safety, or helping one another to leave the unstable mess of the fallen building. And when it's clear, she'll let the roof fall as it's much safer that way than bolstered with a construct that may or may not fail at some point.

As she drifts among both the healthy and the wounded she gives them all that same calm attention, murmuring, "All will be well, and all will be well, and all manner of thing shall be well.."

She's truly in her element here, unphased by the chaos around her, her calm demeanour a balm to those in her presence.

Gigas has posed:
"Hnnn..!!" It's not often that Gigas feels such sharp physical pain nor has o deal with an open wound. Though -technically- a type of construct, he's not just a wall of meat, despite his appearances, and an open wound reveals more vulnerable sensitive flesh that bleeds freely an almost pinkish 'blood' against his damaged blue flesh. Certainly not enough to put him down as his stamina and pain resistance kicks in but still..Ooooow.

"Impressive..." He grumbles while examining his wounded arm. He then turns towards the battlezone as the Mantis and Dragonfly remain a problem.

Ignoring the sharp pain and warnings to his body he plunges both arms into the ground and begins to grip. Soon the entire area infront of where he and The Hornet fought begins to heave upwards as if he was some massive earth excavator. Chasms form as he heaves up a gargantuan chunk of the earth that just grows and grows in size until finally sundering free from its mooings and casting the behemoth in deep shadow under its own immensity as he rolls it overhead.

"Incoming!!!" he cheerfully belts out before shifting the gargantuan weight to his uninjured arm to cock it back and then press forward, shot putting the building sized chunk at the Mantis like a fired off meteor.

Blurr has posed:
The Bisley rips through the creature's jaw, though when it comes out, it has been snapped in half along its crook, so that super-cool bastiche might have to get another one or get it repaired later on. Anyway, all kinds of disgusting entrails are spewing everywhere. And even moreso when Lobo jumps right into the monster's mouth. It really is pushing hard against him even as he plants his feet, and all the while that green acidic stuff that had been squirted at Gigas earlier is burning him all all over. Still, it doesn't manage to clamp down on him before he busts up its throat and head. Flopping over, it drops Lobo to the ground before it collapses into a heap.

The claw also passes through Walker harmlessly just as the spikes did, although it does rip through another building, utterly demolishing it. Had there been people hiding inside? The Lantern might have more pressing matters to worry about, because Gigas just...picks up a massive piece of terrain, causing chasms and quakes that put even more of the fleeing locals in danger, some of them falling into the depths. And -then- he chucks that massive ball of rock and dirt at the monster, but also toward Walker, given he had been in melee range of its claws. Not exactly a pinpoint precision type of strike. The mantis-like insectoid had been focused on Walker, and didn't have time to react. It shrieks in pain as the big ball of terrain knocks it to the ground where it finally stays down.

Everything had been going quite well for Kinsey--that is, until Gigas went ahead and started ripping up a huge piece of the ground. The terrain trembles and writhes almost like living thing, chasms opening up and threatening to swallow those poor natives as they try to get their injured to safety..

Lobo has posed:
Lobo was spat out with authority, hitting the ground at about the speed of a car crash and rolling to a complete stop violently. A steaming, melting heap of broken arms and legs, a most sickening sound could be heard as his neck spun around, un and re-snapping as it was was returned to a normal state, to where he could actually breathe in air if he wanted. Slowly, pink muscle and veins were starting to wrap around his yellow skull like sped-up vines reaching up around a lattice. His arms bent back the way they were supposed to after another moment, his right still holding that space-age yet old-fashioned boomstick.

"An' I thought they smelled bad on the outside. Gawddamn."

His legs were starting to resemble limbs again, and as Lobo ignored the pain deep in his bone marrow, sat right there on the ground he checked his slug count and started to pick shells out of his belt and feed them into the weapon, one by one. It appeared he had a winner for most effective weapon so far...He just needed a better tactic for getting in close.

Kinsey MacKenna has posed:
The rumble of ground beneath Kinsey is a warning, and even as the earth threans to split and chasm beneath herself and the natives, she's creating a construct of a thin, flat barrier like flooring between herself and the natives, and the ground. It's the best she can do, and she utters small thanks for having seen similar employed to patch the gaping hole in the side of the MacKenzie Space Station when the bomb went off.

Gigas has posed:
"Hmm..that was..rather messy!"

Gigas scratches his head as he takes a look around and only just -now- becomes somewhat aware of the state the village and its inhabitants are in. He squints his eyes at Lobo and then finally takes full note of the presence of The Lanterns. "Hmm..there seems to be no escape from The Lantern Corp when I embark on these type of jobs!"

He looks the village over again but still hasn't fully processed that he contributed to some of the damage. It's like expecting an earthquake to understand it destroyed something.

A moment later and he's leaping - lunging through the air towards the hornet in order to examine it and then lift it to haul it back to where the other two creatures are.

Blurr has posed:
Kinsey's shielding prevents most of the locals from falling into chasms, though it came too late for a few of them. Still, they might still be alive down there somewhere. A young girl is crying and looking down into one of the cracks, although the Lantern's shield is now between her and the bottom of it.

When Gigas goes to collect the hornet thing he'd knocked out, he'll find himself face-to-face with another, albeit much better-looking, Cybertronian. Given this one appears to be the only one that's still mostly in one piece, he's definitely not letting these fleshies take it. "Uh, excuse me Big Purple, but these are mine." he states, rather matter-of-factly.

Lobo has posed:
Still laying on the ground, Lobo put his pinkies to his mouth(after the bones and some of the meat and flesh grew back) and gave a harsh, shrill whistle that called the Hog to his location. It would land down while his legs were returning to normal, and soon as it came speeding through the sky, very loud violent music blaring, the Main Man had rolled to his feet and was walking up to the crumpled remains of the dragonfly. The hook of the chain was snapped(which was annoying), but he could still wrap the chain itself around the throat and main 'thorax' of the creature, attaching the other end to the bottom of his ride and leaping up to mount the hovering, freshly painted vehicle.

"Well, I got mine. You dweebs do as you all please. If you ever discover hyperdrive technology, learn what fraggin' turn signals are, or I'll wear your faces as codpieces. Losersayswhaaat?!"

And with that, he was taking off into the sky, vanishing into the distance.

Kinsey MacKenna has posed:
Kinsey is more than happy to let the bounty hunters do their thing as long as they're leaving the natives alone. Well, other than there is that whole vague notion that they'd come to see if Blurr was safe - but then again, there was an entire bunch of injured and frightened natives who needed her and Walker's help a lot more than Blurr likely did. And.. well, there was that whole needs of the many thing.

Mind, if it becomes apparent that Blurr is around and does need help.. well, Kinsey does have this native situation mostly under control.

Other than the ones who've fallen down the crevasse, and the crying child.

With a soft sigh and a smile, the newest Blue Lantern kneels down and wipes the litle one's cheeks and promises to help. "It will be okay. You'll see." It's just a small matter of releasing just enough of the barrier she's created to allow herself to float down and retrieve the others.

It should be simple.

Gigas has posed:
"Oh good. I didn't have to try and punch him into low orbit. That would have been a long fight and my arm is sore now.." notes Gigas as he watches Lobo take off. He lifts his arm up and presses a few switches on his bracers, sending a signal to his ship to auto pilot its way towards him. He then turns towards Kinsey and Spirit. "You are Lanterns yes..? What will you do now?" He knows nothing of Blurr it seems ..and it's only just now starting to sink in that the villagers need help as he notes Kinsey doing just that. "Hmm..it is unfortunante to be caught between such forces.." he notes but then he further rationalizes, "But if we had not of come all of them would be dead.." So..some good news despite the damage.

"Strange that these creatures were here to menace them though. Perhaps you Lanterns should investigate.."

The possiblity that he's contributing to the problem by working for the ones after tehse creatures is completely lost on him but he'd rather unload this thing and get it in their hands as quickly as possible versus contemplate the bigger picture and have it wake up on him in FTL travel. He'll signal them to come to him.

When he is notified that his ship is near, he turns to prepare to leap of with the hornet but he pauses as if giving Kinsey one chance to request his help or shoo him off.

Blurr has posed:
When Blurr sees Lobo taking off with that corpse, his optics widen and he shouts after the bounty hunter. "HEY! I -said-, these are -mine-! You can't just--" But then he's gone. Slag it. This -wasn't- good. "Ugh, we can't just let him take that!!" He exclaims, his gaze falling on Kinsey. "The Legislators--" He shakes his head, sighing.

And then Gigas starts taking off with one, too! Oh no. Uh-uh! The Autobot darts in front of him as he pauses, his weapons unfolding from his arms as one of them is raised to point at the big guy's head. He is about the same height as the purple strongman, if the merc has maintained his large size at this point. "Excuse me, but I don't like being ignored, you oversized fleshbag. You have something of mine, and I intend to get it back, -right now-."

Kinsey is able to phase through the ground and locate some of the fallen locals. If she can phase them as well as herself at the same time, she should be able to deliver them to the surface. Although they are injured, so she might have to busy herself healing them as well.

Kinsey MacKenna has posed:
Kinsey makes as short of work as she can rescuing. First phasing down, and then using constructs wedged to clear a way up for herself and her patients, healing them first to save them any unecessary pain. And once they're out of the hole, she patches it with another construct that nobody falls down. Of course they'll have to move the village, or fill the chasm in or something - she could possibly help with that, but right now, Kinsey (and Walker) make sure everyone is safe, including Blurr.

Gigas has posed:
So Gigas can be a little single minded and focused ..which is how he missed Blurr's earlier entrance and decleration of matters. A weapon, on the other hand, now -that- gets his attention and he blinks and turns towards the newcomer while letting the hornet drop back to the ground. His good cheer is strained now.

"What is it you are saying?" he rumbles, looking annoyed, "I fought for this and accepted a bounty! It is mine to take!" He leans forward and peers at Blurr, "..You are not wanting to fight, are you? I am not in a good mood so I am afraid I would have to crush you into a teeny, tiny box and do so very quickly. Explain yourself.. WHy is it yours?"

Blurr has posed:
Kinsey's efforts are mostly successful...although for one of them her healing had come too late. Unfortunately, this seemed to be that child's mother, as when the Lantern brought the cold body back to the surface, the girl fell over it and sobbed. Now, the real gravity of what had just happened starts to sink into those who had survived. That mother hadn't been the only one. And certainly, their homes have been destroyed. They've truly lost everything...and from their perspective, all is definitely -not- well.

"Exactly, you're just a stupid -merc- looking for some money, aren't you?" Blurr retorts, keeping his weapon aloft as he jabs a finger at him with the other hand. "They're mine because -I- stole them, and -I- brought them here. I don't want to fight any more than you do, so I'll give you one last chance to get out of my face and leave me with what's rightfully mine, before I -make- you." He smirks at Gigas' threats. "Ha, is that what you think? I bet you couldn't even -touch- me."

Gigas has posed:
"Well you can have that one." Gigas points in the direction of the knocked out Hornet. "And the third one is already gone." He indicates where some of the fluids and remains of the Lobo-Mangled Mantis once lay. "For now, I will continue to do my job. Touch you? Hmm..I don't necessarily have to. I have a few tricks up my sleeve. Besides..do you really want to fight me here with these small ones still recovering from the last fight and the Lanterns nearby? I will take this one and you can have that one. It is a fair trade." Gigas forces a grin now, looking at Blurr confidently but with the barest hint of an eye twitch. "What say you?"

Blurr has posed:
Blurr glares at Gigas. "Primus smelt it all, you -don't- understand what you're dealing with, you stupid meatbag!" Ughhh...it was bad enough that the Czarnian got away with one of them, and this guy was wanting to take another one?! Still, he's right, those natives definitely haven't had a good cycle, and Kinsey probably wouldn't be too happy with him making it even worse for them right now.

Hmph--he eyes the mercenary's ship, then finally groans retracts his weapons. "Fine. Take the dead one get and out of my vents." Of course, he plans on tagging Gigas' ship and tracking him down later...before the Legislators get to him. And hopefully he can -somehow- find Lobo too before that happens. Slag it all...

Kinsey MacKenna has posed:
Once it's all over, Kinsey will be found at the remains of the village, sitting amoungst the resting and trying to make sense of things villagers, looking exhausted, but pleased. She might not have stopped the rest of things but she'd done a good day's work here, faving these ones. As for Blurr, well, they'd have words.. just not right this minute.

Gigas has posed:
The ground lurches violently as Gigas drop sthe Hornet and marches over to where the dead Mantis lays. "Fine, fine, fine. And don't call me MEATBAG!"

That last is said with such thunderous force the wind blows violently from the force of his lungs. Seems this is an important thing to him.

A moment later and he has the body of the Mantis slung ove rhis shoulder and he turns to face BLurr, "I will return when I am satisfied!"

And with that he leaps and takes off - thundering skywards with the earth shaking and cratering in his wake as he leaps into low cloud cover and towards his hovering ship.
