Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
Vorpal had done a good job of getting the akuma Adrien, Flatline, out of the hospital by way of rabbit hole. But, in the chaos of Vorpal's magic the pair ended up in two different locations. That was then.

Right now, in East Harlem, all is quiet until a lone figure steps out of an alley. The blonde pauses a moment, to look at the black phone in his hand. Timer app is open. The screen reads:

************************Countdown: 00:21:13 ************************

Lips, ashen pale in death, smiles faintly before it turns into a wince. A glowing outline of a butterfly forms a mask over the young man's face. He straightens, lowering the phone. His head turns to someone just walking by, and he reaches out to touch them with his right hand.

Lips part, and the soft wail of a flatlined heart monitor is heard as the person he touched convulses then crumples to the ground at his feet.

************************Countdown: 00:22:03 ************************

Iron Man has posed:
Harlem. Why in the world would anyone drive a really expensive looking car through Harlem? There are parts of this neighborhood that are so adept at stripping a car, it can be done while stopped at a stoplight in those few seconds. As a result, there are really very few people that actually do stop at lights.

In this case, it's not so much Harlem that Tony Stark is driving through, and he is driving... he's driving his new Lamborghini Aventador down Fifth Ave with Thor bunched up in the front seat and Aspen sort of squished in behind the front two seats. It's okay, though... at least for Tony. It goes fast. It's fun to drive.

"I probably should have brought out the limo, but this has just been sitting, and it really is a crime not to actually get it on the road at least once." Tony's talking, his be-gloved hands gesturing while still holding onto the wheel, the occasional glance given to his passengers. "Next time, I promise.. okay, big guy?"

"Sir," and there.. in case anyone hasn't heard him or isn't familiar with him, is the English accented electronic butler, also known as an Artificial Awareness. "I have caught some transmission from one of the local hospitals, to say that one of their patients has 'disappeared'. That is what the police have received as report. I have added reports, now, of a small anomaly very near your position. The coordianates are being set to your GPS right now, sir."

Tony glances at his passengers, brows rising, "Feel like a ride?" Doesn't really much matter, though... Tony's taking the turns and his speed is rising.

Aspen (251) has posed:
It's hard to squish someone like Aspen, given her size. The car manages somewhat. "A car like this should be drive daily. At least twice. Just listen to her." Aspen sighs, clearly a bit in love with vehicles. You should have seen the reaction she had to a certain black Impala.

There's a grin given to the blonde God in the front seat. "You know... One of these times... I really ought to test your control of storms. It'll be fun." What? She's highly intelligent but no one ever said all her ideas were good ones. Or maybe she's just that confident.

When Jarvis cuts in, her eyes flit to forward immediately before sliding to Tony and a mischievous grin makes an appearance. "Wouldn't be Friday otherwise." Leaning back, as much as possible, she simply enjoys what's left of the drive.

Thor has posed:
Thor is glad to be in the car. Where they were going was important to him but alas, it seems like they are being waylaid. So Thor sits, not in his armor as well, it's a typical Friday night why would you be in Armor on a shopping trip? No, he's wearing the typical Midgard-uniform of his which is jeans, a t-shirt, a hooded sweatshirt with some local University on it because it seems students keep giving him their clothes and taking selfies....which has gotten awkward once or twice....but yeah. Thor's not exactly dressed for battle but the good news is his muscles aren't dependent upon the wardrobe.

Looking back to Aspen, "If it is so much fun to drive cars perhaps I should take the time to learn. Do you have to be from Midgard to get your license?" But then the butler starts to talk, and Thor purses his lips. "I suppose a detour couldn't hurt."

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
"Hey! You okay?" says a concerned citizen as the first victim drops. He kneels down, and without glancing directs Flatline to call 9-1-1. He doesn't get past the first one, when Flatline reaches out. The small crowd that's gathering, starts to back up, startled, when Flatline moves into them.

************************Countdown: 00:32:48 ************************

A dozen or so, including the first two, all fall to the sidewalk, barely breathing. And the blonde just keeps moving, right hand reaching, timer app gaining time with each touch only to lose it again by seconds.

Iron Man has posed:
The Lamborghini isn't subtle, it really isn't. Even less so when it has hard rock suddenly playing through speakers (which aren't 'standard' for the vehicle). Little bit of AC/DC never hurt anyone, right? The music, the rumbles of the transmission as it approaches all but announces the arrival of Tony Stark. Oh, and the Mighty Thor. And was Aspen mentioned? (OOC note: <3)

As the vehicle rolls to a stop, the music still pounds through the speaker, but there is no immediate movement from within. It's in the next heartbeat that one door opens, then perhaps another, and Tony steps out slowly, calling out, "Hey.. I understand there's something going on here that just might require some attention. Beyond all that.." and here, he waves his hand in general gesture in the air, "... crime stuff. You know, the general hooligan stuff that hardly makes the papers anymore."

Aspen (251) has posed:
Door. Door. And Aspen simply hops out the back. The young woman is dressed in a pair of jeans, a tank top and a pair of sandals. There's a fifty-fifty chance she came from work because, yes, that's how she dresses there. She may or may not occasionally wear a lab coat.

"It really doesn't? What's up with that? When I was kid, crime actually mattered... We spend more time on models and the Kardashians than actual news." Aspen gives a dramatic roll of her eyes as she makes her way up to Tony's side, tossing a look over to Thor. "Care to part the sea here, big guy?" He really is large. Especially compared to Aspen.

Thor has posed:
Looking over at the soundtrack, Thor just chuckles. "You humans and your theme songs," he says with a laugh. "In Asgard our arrival is heralded by dozens of instruments when we wish it. A unique fanfare for each and every one of us warriors,a song to cheer us on and trumpet our arrival in Valhalla should it be deemed our day to die," says Thor, making that sound glorious somehow in the explanation, even if it is rather dreary, or at the very least, rather Klingon as well.

No one has ever accused Thor of an abundance of patience however and as the car stops he turns to get out, and....looks...at the unmoving door, before looking back to Tony, then the door. Then Aspen...then the door. Then back and a--ahh there it goes. And so he hops out, listening to Stark's words and says, simply, "It's a pity you still have crime. Most advanced civilizations have moved well past such trivial matters...." Yup...Thor can be a dick too.

Supergirl has posed:
Supergirl is aware of the threat that Flatline poses, after talking with her cousin. She's also aware that he might not be in control of his actions. What she doesn't know, is how to find the akuma. So, the blonde Kryptonian has been patrolling high over the New York area, using her super senses to maybe locate Flatline, or at least be on the alrt for trouble. And a crowd in Harlem screaming and shouting as dozens of people fall to the ground certainly qualifies as trouble...

Supergirl flies down to the scene, hovering about 20 feet above the ground and well away from Flatline. "I think that's about enough for one night, don't you?" she asks the possessed boy, her arms crossed over her chest. Of course, the people piling out of the Lamborghini sort of takes the drama out of her entrance. But Supergirl recognizes Tony Stark, simoly by virtue of not having lived under a rock since she arrived on Earth. The other two that arrive with him...she's not so sure.

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
************************Countdown: 00:42:05 ************************

Eleven more victims and the path is clear between Flatline and Tony Stark. Dead white eyes waste only a second before he reaches out to grab at Tony's chest. Flatline pays no mind to Supergirl, as if he can't hear over the sound that comes from his lips as he reaches for the billionaire: -eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-

It's the sound of a heartmonitor gone flatline, the tone ever continuous, starting in the middle of it's wail when Flatline's ashen grey lips part and then ceasing when his lips close again.

Iron Man has posed:
Tony glances to the side and shakes his head, "It really doesn't. They figure that when a Boy Scout helps a little old lady across the road, that's newsworthy because it hardly happens anymore. Multiple homocide? Eh.. dime a dozen." He's back to 'front', then, and when Thor speaks his piece, Tony chuffs a laugh. "See, big guy, we're the same, only we don't front the money for the band. We just pay royalties."

Now Tony's attention comes completely around, and for a long moment, he stares at the ... person? It's Supergirl's appearance, and yes, yes, it was cool too... that gets a quick nod of acknowledgment before he's back. Problem is? He's misjudged the step, misjudged his spot.. and all of a sudden Tony goes pale, and his breathing starts to flutter, not taking in full breaths. In the next moment, the man is on the ground, out. To listen to his chest, there is that soft 'hmmmmm' of the arc reactor doing its thing, but as far as consciousness goes?

Tony Stark is down for the count.

"Sir?" The voice that is Jarvis can be heard over the music, which has somehow been turned down.. "Sir?"

Iron Fist has posed:
For a short time now, Rand Enterprises and the Agreste fashion giants have partnered for an upcoming charity event. It's been of litle concern to most of the higher-ups in his company, so Danny has personally been the one in contact with the family. Thus, he's been interested in the drama surrounding Adrien Agreste of late. The recent violence at Mercy Hospital, especially.

Having cancelled his meetings and arrangements for the night, Danny has been cruising the city for sights or signs of the Agreste heir. That's led him to Harlem, mostly by chance. The green and yellow-clad hero follows the signs and feelings of panic to round a corner onto a street littered with victims. His gaze washes over them, eventually falling on Flatline. "What the hell is this?" he says, barely louder than a whisper.

Aspen (251) has posed:
Aspen starts to step forward but isn't quite in time. She watches Tony drop, her eyes going wide. "Tony!" She immediately drops near the man, a shield of protective engird going around his ironed figure.

Cerulean blue eyes flit up to Flatline. "What did you do!?" Her eyes narrow faintly, the energy reaching out to cover her as well. "Don't let him touch you!," is said to the group as a whole. "And keep him off me."

A deep breath is taken and her mind reaches out to Flatline's, trying to make contact and communicate in some way other than that beep that makes her shiver.

Thor has posed:
Thor was enjoying that bit of smugness about how much more advanced his race is, when there's suddenly a flying woman above....oh hey! That's the girl that tried to convince him not to break into ... I mean, not to enter that perfectly wide open door of the house he was thinking of buying when the realtor wasn't there. Duh...totally found it that way.

Anyway, moving on, Thor looks over as Stark is talking and then isn't talking. He's flat, and Aspen speaks good sense. "How do .... if we...." he mutters but then he has an idea. Taking the Lambo he tilts it up on its side. *Crunch* And he drgs it forward *Scrape* in between Flatline and Aspen. Well he tries anyway, trying to create a wall. Or at least push Flatline out of the way? Something....at least, to give Aspen that delay, that space she's hoping for. It's a start anyway. And a likely valid insurance claim...though if Thor is the one who breaks it can the insurance company claim Act of God?

Supergirl has posed:
Supergirl sees Tony Stark go down after a simple touch from Flatline. Not good. There's a dozen other people unconcious, although thankfully she can still hear everyone's heartbeat. This person needs to be stopped, but Kara is mindful that his actions are most likely being controlled by someone or something else.

With containment being her priority now, Supergirl shouts to all the people crowded around. "Everyone! Go back inside. Get to a safe space and stay there until the police and emergency personel arrive!" It's all she can really do in terms of trying to get potential targets out of harm's way. Now for Flatline...

Still flying aobve the scene and trying to stay out of Flatline's reach, Supergirl inhales sharply. Her lips pucker and she exhales a slow and steady gust of wind, like if she were trying to cool down a cup of hot coffee or hot soup. The icy blast is directed at Flatline, and a rime of frost starts to form on him as well as chilling him.

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
Tony Stark falls into a coma.

************************Countdown: 00:43:02 ************************

Aspen moves into Flatline's line of sight and once again the blonde boy starts forward... only to find car to face, shoving him back into an arctic chill. To those sensative to the ailments of the body, the chill is causing the first hints of frostbite, even if Flatline gives no indication that he is even aware of the temperature differences.

Aspen's mind, reaching for Flatline, must first cut through a single sound: -eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee- It's clear the boy can only hear that single sound, can only make that single sound, can only think that single sound. Except there's a faint deep throb behind it, like a man's voice is speaking on a loop. 'Flatline, I am Hawkmoth. I grant you the power to save your girlfriend, to unwind those stolen six hours of live and give them back to her. Go! Spare no thought as to how many others must parish to get her back her stolen minutes, and use those deaths to summon Ladybug- Ladybug- Ladeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee- Flatline, I am Hawkmoth...'

Smashed by car and ice breath at odds with each other, Flatline seeks to roll against the car until it blocks him from the wind and hopefully leaves him a clear path to another victim.

************************Countdown: 00:42:52 ************************

Iron Fist has posed:
Iron Fist takes a few tentative steps closer to Flatline, skirting one comatose victim as he does. His breathing is deep and steady; he remains calm despite the danger the pale person represents. "Adrien?" he asks, although there's no sign of the young man he knew here.

Before Flatline can respond, a gust of freezing air envelops him and forces Danny to backtrack. He glances up to Supergirl, then back to a retreating Flatline. "What do you want?" He demands, voice rising over the rushing gust.

Aspen (251) has posed:
The car goes between her and Flatline and Thor gets a flicker of a smile. "Thanks," is murmured distractedly.

The mental link established, Aspen frowns at what she hears. "His actions aren't his. He's being controlled." Another moment and her head tilts. "He's fighting it. His touch is supposed to be killing people instead of dropping the--" She had been informing the entire group...

And then she senses it. The liquid causing cells to rupture. "Stop! You're causing frostbite!" Her eyes widen. "You're rupturing the cells!"

She knows the boy needs stopped but that could easily kill him if it goes too long. And she can't see to shield him... "Thor! I need the car moved!" Once it is, she throws out a hand and a wall of ice goes up between Flatline and that icy breath.

All of this while trying to maintain her connection with Flatline means she can't really move, sadly. She can hear just fine though. "Whoever is controlling him promised him the power to save his girlfriend," is said to Danny. "His mind is... It's on a loop... It's not his own right now."

Thor has posed:
Thor is watching what's going on, starting ot cirlce around, to look for somethign to use from a distance. Light pole? NO, he'd crush the human. Get up close? Naw....do you know how many nurses would take advantage of a comatose Thor? No, the options are few but a flash of cold breath, that might work. Still, with Flatline moving away from Tony it's not a big game of watch the shifting crowd that knows it needs to get away and also wants to have the bets footage for CNN it can get on its phones all battle with each other to shift like some living, pulsing amoeba around the super heroes and the sleep-maker. But then Aspen is making her request, as he looks between those who don't seem to be running but instead are forming up to help. "Alright...." he says. "Now I'm part hero, part valet. That sounds....great...." he says, and Thor puts both hands on the car and slides it back out of the way again with a scrape that is going to make those guys at Car and Driver cry true tears tonight.

Supergirl has posed:
Seeing that her super breath is actually hurting Flatline more than hindering him, just as Aspen yells that fact out, Supergirl stops her icy assault. As Iron Fist approaches the pale boy, she calls out a warning. "Don't let him touch you! He sends people into a coma with a touch!" The Girl of Steel starts looking around for options. There *has* to be a way to stop Flatline without being touched by him or harming him....

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
************************Countdown: 00:42:46 ************************

The winds ceasing and car shoved out of the way, Flatline's all white eyes, the eyes of the dead, turn on Danny as he addresses the boy. Aspen can tell that Flatline can't hear what was said. All Flatline can hear is the -eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-. But motion is tracked. Life is tracked, and Flatline charges at Danny.

To anyone with combat training, versed in martial arts, Flatline's motions reveal the Agreste boy's years of training in various forms of combat, and that he is protecting the cell phone held in his left hand. The phone whose timer app is mercilessly counting down the seconds.

************************Countdown: 00:42:45 ************************

No one else seems to register.

Iron Fist has posed:
Iron Fist hopes to feel more than the evil presense that seems to have overcome the body of Adrien Agreste. His chi reaches for it, even. But then he's rushed and all that matters is now keeping out of reach of those surprisingly able limbs.

A duck here, a sidestep there, Iron Fist takes up a completely and acrobatically defensive position, seeking zero contact with his assailant. While he does this, he studies the learned moves for a weakness and in the process notes the cell phone being cradled almost too delicately in one hand. "What have you got there," he says, grinning.

Aspen (251) has posed:
Aspen frowns slightly. "Alright, Thor... Lets see how good you are with wind... Lift him. Stop his ability to move. To touch anyone. I'm trying to see if I can find him in there... Whoever Hawkmoth is, he's buried this kid's mind deep."

In the meantime, her mind probes deeper, searching for the glimmer of who is supposed to be in there. This while she drops the icefall, taking one more thing drawing on her energy out of the mix.

At least the ice breath stopped. Hopefully it didn't do -too- much damage.

She sees the way Flatline is protecting the phone just like Danny does and she smirks. "Can you get it from him?," is called to Danny?

Supergirl has posed:
At the mention of the cell phone, Kara looks at the device and sees the countdown. For a moment, she considers trying to hit it with her heat vision, but it's being guarded too closely for a clean shot from her. Time for another plan...

Supergirl lands nearby right in the line of Flatline. "Okay kid," she says with a smirk. "Want to see if you can hit me and win the grand prize?" She's close to Flatline, but not quite within arm's reach. Kara's betting that her super-speed can keep her out of the way of his touch, and that the energy of a Kryptonian proves to be a tempting, and distracting, target; a distraction that the others can take advantage of.

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
************************Countdown: 00:42:41 ************************

Never once does that phone come away from himself more than a few inches as Flatline attacks Danny. Without feeling pain or fatigue or much of anything, the akuma-possessed boy is far more nimble than he might otherwise have been, which by his movements is rather nimble indeed. A nimble that fumbles a bit as Aspen pokes into his mind.

In the mind of an akuma:
-eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee A fierce determination rests beneath the sound, the feel of a mind unwilling to give in fully, unwilling to let harm come to a certain someone. Knowledge is there. He knew what was going to happen to him. He made the choice to subcumb then and thus prevent something worse. Something worse than... eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-

Motion. Blue.

In his mind: -eeeeeeeeeeee Blue. Blue. Bluebell eyes. Blue. eeeeeeeeeeee-

Flatline turns toward Supergirl, face expressionless, right hand sweeping out to attack, to touch, to take the life behind that blue and add it to his...

************************Countdown: 00:42:39 ************************

In the chi: The source of the evil is indeed that phone. The butterfly outline, the symbol of the Agreste company, on the back of the protective case glows with a sense of bolstering hope gone twisted and corrupt. There are other butterfly symbols on the boy - his shirt, his jacket, his pants, his shoes - which is likely of no surprise to a man working so closely with the model's company. The symbol on the phonecase, however, is not of the full butterfly like the rest, but is an outline only. One that ripples faintly like the slow undulations of a heart beating on autopilot, like the heart of a coma victim.

Iron Fist has posed:
The supernatural dexterity gifted Adrien's body by the akuma is noted by Iron Fist, who has to work to continually dodge the attacks on him. Luckily, this is the sort of thing he's done before. Practiced, even. "Maybe," he shouts to Aspen, though he doesn't sound very confident. After all, that would probably entail touching the thing and going comatose as well. A sacrifice he may be willing to make. "Sacrifice," Iron Fist mutters thoughtfully.

At that moment Supergirl arrives and successfully draws the akuma-possessed man away from him. Iron Fist doesn't keep his eyes off that cell phone, though. He knows he only one chance for this and that Adrien will probably spend some time recovering from a resulting injury, but he figures it's for the greater good. Pressing fist against open palm, he channels his chi to summon the Iron Fist, takes aim, and swings at the hand holding the cell phone.

Aspen (251) has posed:
Tony is already unconscious and from everything Aspen has gathered, that means he's safe from Flatline. Which is why the shield around the two of them is withdrawn and Aspen stands. Slow, measured steps are taken towards Flatline. As she goes, her body and clothing shift. The color pales and looks washed out until she's shifted almost entirely. Instead of looking human now, she's a being of pure energy. It shimmers and swirls in shades of blue and soft greens. All except her eyes. Those remain bright and clear.

In this form, her telepathy is stronger and so she pushes a little further. "Adrien..." The call to him is verbal as well as mental, trying to draw him forward mentally.

Whatever the others are going to do, or are in the process of doing, lets hope it all goes smoothly. She's already drained herself pretty bad.

Thor has posed:
Hopefully Thor's timing is right on then rather than not as Iron Fist steps in while Supergirl is doing a masterful job of keeping The Comatose Kid at bay....okay Flatline is a way better nickname but still. Thor holds out his hand and as if it were waiting there the whole time, a few seconds later, the streaking sound of Mjolnir hitting his hand can be heard, and he starts to whirl that hammer around, faster and faster, and he starts to approach and then he reaches his hand up before bringing it crashing down as hopefully, a veritable cyclone forms around where Flatline stands.

And so there is now the reflective speech, almost meditative in combat of Danny, Supergirl's attention-gaining efforts, the cries and ooohs and ahhhs of the crowd, and the roaring wind that encircles our victim who's hopes have been twisted so. The cyclone almost assuredly starts to lift him off the ground, or try, ripping at the clothes a bit, and definitely not doing nice things to the frostbit skin but...it is controlled. Hopefully Danny can reach through -that- and get the phone before Thor has to stop the wind before it hurts the man contained within.

Supergirl has posed:
Time seems to slow down for Supergirl as Flatline strkes at her. It's like the Matrix, and Kara ducks back to avoid the blow....which barely misses her. She had underestimated the boy's heightened reflexes, and only the grace of Rao and some Super Speed had allowed her to get out of the way. Supergirl is now about 10 feet away from Flatline, looking like she just teleported out of the way, she was moving so fast. Her heart is pounding from the near miss, but she keeps up the distraction. "Too slooo-ooowww..." she taunts Flatline in a sing-song voice.

Then Thor drops the cyclone into the mix, and this fight might be all over in a few more moments.

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
Danny strikes out at Flatline's left hand.

************************Countdown: 00:42:38 ************************

Flatline's hand opens reflexively, the motion a jerk of not-in-his-control muscles. The phone falls. Flatline turns his gaze from Supergirl. His eyes blink and the green irises roll back down. The color is faded from the brillant green they normally are.

In his mind: -eeeeeeeee...eeeeeeeee....eeeeeeeeeee My phone. eeeeeeeeee... Forty minutes. She needs to wake up. eeeeeeeeeeee.... Can't be alone eeeeeeeeee..... Again. eeeeeeeeeeee.... Wake up. Forty minutes. eeeeeeeeee... Don't leave. eeeeeeeeeeeeeee-

Flatline's eyes are locked on the phone as it falls toward the ground. The timer at a standstill. The cyclone hits Flatline the same time the phone bounces once away from Flatline. The screen is face up.

************************Countdown: 00:42:38 ************************

The battery is at 5% and Flatline is ripped from the ground, body straing against the winds, left hand reaching out for his phone. His mouth is open in what might be a scream, but all that can be heard is the wind distorted wails of
-eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-

Iron Fist has posed:
The light that just radiated from Danny's fist goes out as he stumbles back to keep from getting sucked into the cyclone along with Flatline. He's not sure if he actually hit the young man or if his chi protected him from the effects, but he also knows he doesn't have time to think about it.

With Flatline less of a threat now, Iron fist dips to grab the fallen cell phone. He runs with it over to the heroes by the overturned car and says. "OK, now what?" He grips the device and stares at the screen.

Aspen (251) has posed:
The cyclone lifts him up and Aspen nods at Thor. Good. Every good. The blue eyes flick to Supergirl and then to Danny before going back to Adrien.

Even in this form, the way her brows pinch together can be seen. In that moment, if it hadn't already been solidified for the girl, the young man goes from criminal and dangerous to a victim. "Do not hurt him." And Gods help anyone who does.

Her mind presses deeper, calling to him again. "We'll help you. And her." Whoever she is. Again, it's mental and verbal.

"The phone and the timer seem to be the focus of it all... " Her voice sounds far off and distracted. "Maybe if we destroy the phone, it breaks the hold?"

Thor has posed:
"Maybe we could talk about it less and do something about it more," comes Thor's voice. "It's one thing to call a storm. Another entirely to not let it do what storms want to do. And if I'm not allowed to hurt him...then I'm going to have to put him down very soon...." says the gritted-teeth blonde. "Don't hurt him," he mutters under his voice. "I'm not sure you all know how a fight is supposed to work. Just....saying...." before he goes back to making sure that little things like the boy launching up into the sky or the winds trying to pull him apart don't happen. Cause...apparently...that's frowned upon.

Thor is focused, and at a distance which means he's likely safe....but he's also definitely taxed calling the weather in a way that's so very contrary to his normal use of Mother Nature as a weapon.

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
In Danny's hand the phone is very physically normal. It's high end, because the Agreste boy is rich, but there's nothing to stop anyone from cracking the case open and smashing it against the sidewalk.

Well, nothing except how Flatline, caught in the twister, is still 'screaming' -eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-.

In his mind: -eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Adrien is struggling. He wants the phone back. There's a desperation boarding on insanity in his mind, tinted ever so faintly by hope. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-

Iron Fist has posed:
Iron Fist stares at the phone for a moment longer, as if deciding what to do. He glances up and around to take note of everything that's going on. Thor keeping the cyclone up, Supergirl recovering from a near miss, and the dozens of innocent people lying all around them. All because some dark possessor connected to a cell phone. That's probably simplifying the whole thing, but maybe Aspen is right.

"Worth a shot," he tells the woman. He hand opens and he lets the cell phone tumble to the ground. Lifting a boot, he stares the thing down for a brief moment before smashing several times. Not the most elegant beatdown, but at least it's effective.

Supergirl has posed:
Flatline is contained and the phone is out of his hands. Supergirl breathes a sigh of relief. She flies over to Aspen, who has been shouting out clues regarding Flatline's mental state. So, telepath. "Can you bring him back?" she asks Aspen. "Can you tell if destroying the phone will injure him?"

And then, Iron Fist makes the point moot.

Aspen (251) has posed:
The phone is smashed, "Thank you," is offered to Danny before Aspen turns her attention to Thor. "Let him down." She's that certain of this. "First person who goes near him other than me, I will make very sorry." Yes, she's protecting the boy.

Even as she nods at Supergirl, adding, "I think so," she's walking closer to the young man, trusting Thor to have the cyclone gone by the time she gets there. "Adrien, look at me..."

Thor has posed:
Ever see those memes: What I think I look like and what I really look like? Well, what Thor THINKS is going to happen is that he's going to slowly drop the storm and the blonde man and the dirt and anything else swept up is going to float like leaves on the wind towards the ground and land like an eyelash on a cotton ball.

What really happens is as Thor tries to get the storm to relax the winding, twisting currents don't want to just stop and so then they start to close in on each other and what was a cyclone threatens to turn into branching off tornadoes so Thor just shuts the whole thing down and Flatline lands flat....rather unceremoniously, along with some other papers and things, back on the ground. Fortunately it wasn't too far of a drop....but yeah.

"Oops."

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
-eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee NOOO!!!" The cell phone cracks all too easily in half, cleanly in half, with only a few dozen pieces of shattered glass and unrecognizeable compenent bits. Adrien's voice is suddenly as free as his mind.

In his mind, suddenly clear of Hawkmoth's influence and the deafening sound of the flatline, Adrien's thoughts are frightened, relieved, and disorientated. The only clear thought: She's alive.

Unceremonious fall is unceremonious. Adrien collapses to the ground in a heap, a shaken and unsteady heap. A heap he forces himself to look up from as a tiny black and purple butterfly very serenely flutters from the wreckage of Adrien's phone, now whole and unmarred. The case is now white and silver instead of black. The battery flashes a warning of low power, 1% and then the phone shuts itself off.

"Coccinelle?" the boy asks as he tries so hard to shove himself back up to his feet, managing only to get to his hands and knees. His whole body is shivering from cold.

Iron Fist has posed:
Iron Fist winces as Adrien hits the ground, but is distracted soon after by a butterfly floating up from the wrecked phone. That's unexpected. It flutters by him for a moment and then away to wherever it's trying to go. "Seems like that worked," he announces, stating the obvious.

With Aspen walking over to Adrien, Iron Fist hangs back with Supergirl and Thor. He glances between the two, clears his throat, and says. "Um, hi. I'm the Iron Fist."

Aspen (251) has posed:
He hadn't meant to drop the boy and Aspen knows that. It's why she actually chuckles as she shifts back to her human form. Which is a relief. Her blue eyes dart to Thor and she smirks, tossing him a wink. "Still want to see you let loose..."

"Thank you all for your help," is offered to the three heroes over her shoulder. "I'll take care of him." It would seem the young man now falls under the protection of the demi-goddess. Absolutely so.

Her attention is then back on Adrien, her mind having pulled back to just the surface of his as a way to make sure his own is completely free and clear. It does have the lovely side effect of letting her understand him as well.

She reaches out to help him up the rest of the way, frowning at the cold she can feel practically radiating from him. "Damn..." A sigh and then she offers Adrien a smile. "Come on. Let's get you warm and then we'll get everything sorted and taken care of."

Thor has posed:
To be fair, there are a LOT of super heroes in the world, so when Thor looks up and says, "The who?" It's not meant as a total insult....though it may require a call to Peter Quill to join the 'what do you do when they don't know you' therapy group. Nodding though, holding out a hand to the man to clasp and shake like warriors, Thor nods, "Thor Odinson. Thank you for helping," he says before also waving over at Supergirl. "Hi again...." and then he looks to the car. Then to the unconscious Tony and he walks over towards his friend, to lift him up and carry him to where Aspen says he needs to go unless stopped otherwise.

Supergirl has posed:
Supergirl nods to Iron Fist as he introduces himself. "Supergirl," she replies, stating the obvious. She hurries over to the fallen boy, nodding to Aspen and starting to take off her cape. "We can wrap him in this to keep him warm, and I can fly him to the hospital in Bludhaven in minutes." Thor's greeting is acknowledged with a nod, but right now Kara is focusing on the man who needs medical attention. "Please," she asks Aspen, hoping to help the person she inadvertantly injured.

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
Helped up, Adrien fights to lift his head, shivering as he leans into Aspen's frame. His head turns slightly, trying to look around, as he speaks in french.

"Ladybug? Where's Ladybug? Did she leave already?" Only, his words are a stammer, forced past chattering teeth. The confusion is fading quickly as Adrien is starting to piece together what might be happened.

"I need my phone," he says, mind grasping to that need of having it. His eyes flit to Supergirl, but she's not immediately recognized.

Aspen (251) has posed:
Aspen turns her attention on Thor and smiles. "We need to get them back to Stark Tower. He's suffering first stages of hypothermia. Easily treated but we need to go." Unfortunately, their transportation is... currently out of service.

Her eyes flit to Supergirl and harden. "I said I'll take care of him. It's under control."

"Your phone?," is asked of Adrien before Aspen's eyes flit around and then land on it. "Alright. Let's go get your phone and then we'll find her, okay?" She has no idea who Ladybug is but getting the boy warm is her first priority. Which means getting him his phone and getting him home.

Supergirl has posed:
Aspen's hard stare gives Supergirl pause, but she pushes on. "Bludhaven is where he needs to go," she insists in a calm tone. "That's where the person he's concerned about is." Probably. Kara is guessing a little bit, but it's a good guess based on what her cousin told her was happening. "I was told that this boy is linked to a girl in a coma there. Marinette. I know you may not like me right now, but I'm trying to help him. If you are telepathic, you know that's the truth."

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
Adrien hears all the English around him and for a moment it clashes with the French words rolling around in his brain. But after a moment the language confusion eases and he nods to whomever is talking to him and helpng him get his phone. Which is dead and out of battery. and where is his ring? The ring, on his right hand. Where is... oh... right. Ladybug has his ring. Why didn't she stay? Did she not want to give it back to him? Was she upset... because he was akumatized? Why didn't she stay around to talk to him? Why is he so cold?

Marinette... in a coma?

"No.. No... Stop talking! Stop talking!" Adrien grabs his head, covering his ears, mind trying to shove away what that means, trying to shove away the start of panic.

Aspen (251) has posed:
One arm wrapped around Adrien, the other extends and in her free hand forms a sword of pure energy and water. "He stays with me." It's really not up for debate as far as Aspen's concerned.

Her attention snaps to Adrien. "Sorry about this..." Her eyes narrow for the heartbeat it takes for her to send a telepathic blast. To drop the boy into a deep, sound sleep.

Of course, this means the sword disappears so that she can catch the kid she knows is going to go slack.

Then her eyes go back to Supergirl. "Seems he didn't like what you were saying. Not entirely sure how smart it is to upset him right now."

Can Thor carry two people and still fly?

Supergirl has posed:
Supergirl sighs and shakes her head. "Okay," she says. "You know where he should be. He's your responsibilty, then." She wants to argue the matter, becasue Lois' safety is in the ballance, but that's not going to to much good at this point. "There's a lot of people in coma's because of him," she says, not casting blame or being angry. "And I know he wasn't in control. I don't want him punished or locked up. That's not justice. But the longer things are unresolved, the more danger those people in the comas are in. By taking responsibility for him, you're also taking responsibility for what happens to all of them." And Kara points to the dozen or so people, aside from Tony Stark, who fell victim to Flatline tonight. "So, I hope you can reverse what has happened. I really do." And then, she flies off, heading for Bludhaven. There are people there that need her.

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
The phone had been collected and was in his left hand again when he pressed his hands to his ears, his eyes shut tight. A small black and purple butterfly reappears overhead, fluttering about, waiting and then when Adrien's eyes roll up and he goes slack, the butterfly flutters away aimlessly.

Aspen (251) has posed:
Oh, the remark that's on the tip of Aspen's tongue for Supergirl. Surprising, she holds it back, however. By not saying anything at all.

Once she's gone, Aspen gets Thor's help getting Tony and Adrien both back to Stark Tower and the young man immediately tended to and warmed. Which is a lot easier since he's soundly sleeping. Wonder how long she can keep him that way...?

Hopefully, long enough for her and Thor to have a chat about the current state of things.
