Cast of Characters: Superman, Supergirl

Superman has posed:
After Superman had finished his visitations of the metahuman attack victims, Clark Kent stepped into the hosital lobby to call his cousin. It took a bit, but he managed to get out that something was wrong with Lois and that he really needed to talk to her. He stepped outside the hospital, finding a quiet little patch of sunlight to sit in, hoping the fresh dose of sunlight would help clear some of the worry as he keeps a careful ear on Lois's soft but steady heartbeat and the faint beep of the heartmonitor that echos that rhythm.

Supergirl has posed:
When the call from Kal happened, Kara was off to be by his side, faster than a speeding bullet. She knows how much Lois means to her cousin, and right now, he needs support. Almost as soon as the phone conversation ends, Supergirl is streaking over Bludhaven, landing in an unobserved alleyway near the hospital. Kara Danvers emerges from the alley, and the brunette girl quickly makes her way over to where her cousin is standing. "Clark!" she says as she approaches and gives him a strong, lengthy hug of support. "How is she?" Kara asks, her voice and expression full of nothing but concern.

Superman has posed:
Clark wraps his arms about Kara, dropping his head to hers and just hugs. This scared him. He wasn't sure how the meta did what he did to Lois, but... Clark heaves a sigh and steps back from the hug, heart more fortified for the family presence.

"In a coma, from the doctors can tell me. I'll have to write a piece about this sooner rather than later, but from what I've gathered so far, she was attacked by a metahuman who's actions weren't his own," he says, the worry all too apparent in his blue eyes.

Supergirl has posed:
Kara nods solemnly. "She's strong. She'll pull through this," she offers in comfort. Kara smiles a bit and adds, "Just homw many times have you told me about Lois emerging from a dangerous situation or story unscathed? She'll probably just be upset that she took an extra long nap." Besides the cheer, Kara knows how serious a coma can be, and how critical it is that Lois wake up soon; of course, she doesn't mention this at all to her cousin. "Has the metahuman been captured? Or are others traking him down? Is there anything I can do to help besides just being here with you?"

Superman has posed:
Clark chuckles at Kara's words, nodding that all of it's true and it warms him, helps make the situation a little less overwhelming. He sets his hands into his pockets.

"Not that I know of. But he's a victim himself, mind control maybe? There are small... creatures? I didn't exactly caught what they were, but four rooms away from Lois, in ICU... They are with a girl, Marinette DuPain-Cheng. They state that the boy is being uses by someone named Hawkmoth, and that if capture is attempted it is vital he not be harmed in anyway. Sounds like the girl means a lot to the boy and when she didn't wake up from her coma he got so depressed this Hawkmoth was able to take control of him.

"Tikki is one of hte spirit's names. The red one. She is a Ladybug spirit? Maybe a guardian or mentor for a superhero named Ladybug, who, from what I understood, is the only one that can undo what Hawkmoth has done. Thing is, Ladybug and her partner, Chat? They lead secret lives too and this is hitting them rather hard. I told Tikki I'd help, with both things. Apparently, once whatever is afflicting the meta human is undone, all the come victims will wake up."

Supergirl has posed:
"Even if he's not in control of his actions, he can still be a danger to people. He needs to be captured and contained, for his own safety as well as the safety of others." There's sympathy in Kara's voice for the situation, but she's still adimant about bringing in this person as unharmed as possible. She puts a hand on Clark's shoulder, looking up at him. "Clark, right now, your only concern should be Lois. You need to be here for her. I can handle the search, along with any others that are looking. You've done so much for so many people already. Let yourself be human for a while and focus on what really matters. Let the rest of us shoulder the weight of the world for a while."

Superman has posed:
"I know, Kara," Clark says, brows puling together. Her hand on his shoulder is grounding and for a moment it does feel so much like she is the elder cousin. Which she is, technically.

"We don't know what, exactly, this meta can do, Kara. From talking with Tikki, this is likely magic," Clark says, hand coming up to rest on Kara's shoulder in turn.

Supergirl has posed:
"Well, it's a good thing I know some a magician, then," Kara replies with a smile. She takes her hand off Clark's shoulder and puts it on his hand, giving it a firm, comforting squeeze. "We'll handle it, Clark. So don't worry about it. Just let me know who's in on the search and I'll get together with them." She pats Clark's hand, then takes a deep breath. "I know what Lois means to you. And I know this is hard on you; in a lot of ways, probably. If you need to talk about it, I'm always here for you."

Superman has posed:
Clark chuckles at this, relief filling him that his got good family to help.

"Thanks. Now, if only I could work up the courage to tell Lois all that.... I don't know who's trying to track him down. I'm dangerously short on details, given that I'm... you know... and a reporter," he admits, shaking his head ruefully.

Supergirl has posed:
Kara nods at the lack of information. "I guess i'll start with the...whatevers...that are with the girl. Sounds like they know what's going on." Clark's further confession brings a hint of a smile to Kara's face. "Clark...you know our family is real big on science. But sometimes...sometimes there's forces at work that we don't always understand? What I'm saying is...when Lois wakes up. Maybe you and she need to have a long, private talk. About...everything. Maybe she'll be mad about some of the things you've been keeping from her. But only for a bit. She's smart. She'll understand the reasons. And maybe...she'll realize that she's been focused herself on the superficial things." Kara points to her own set of fake glasses. "And not on the real person." She reaches over and puts her hand on Clark's chest over his heart. "Either way, you're the same person. She'll see that. And maybe she'll have an apology for you after she's thought about things a bit."

Superman has posed:
"You'll have to talk to them as Supergirl, since I talked to them as Superman, and while I told them that I keep a secret identity too... well, secrets," Clark says, smiling lightly though it doesn't reach his eyes all the way. He's nervous about revealing who he is to Lois, not because he doesn't trust her but because he doesn't want her any MORE of a target than she already makes herself. He inhales a light sigh.

"I don't know, Kara... I'm not afraid of what she might say or think, or even of her being angry... I'm just ...I'm worried about her safety, if she knew."

Supergirl has posed:
Kara smirks a bit at Clark. "Her safety," she says with a hint of irony. "We are still talking about the same Lois Lane that did Organized Crime exposes, interviewed warlords, and did all sorts of dangerous things on a regular basis to get the truth out before Clark Kent even entered her life, right?" She smiles and pats Clark's arm. "Just think about it, is all I'm saying. Lois can handle herself. You've said so yourself. Knowing certain triths...it's not going to put her life in any more danger than she already puts herself in."

Superman has posed:
Clark smiles, huffing faintly. "You know... I'm not sure I like being out numbered by people so much smarter than I am," he says, teasingly, his smile bright.

"I'm going to sit out here for a little bit, if you want to go up to see her? The room doesn't get a lot of sun and it's making me feel claustrophobic." Which is amusing considering he could just punch a hole in the wall..
