Synopsis: A meeting of the minds in the Clocktower Apartment.
Cast of Characters: Oracle, Shadowcat, Carrie Kelley, Red Robin

Oracle has posed:
Its Sunday night in the clocktower, there's a early summer time lightning and thunderstorm outside. The lightning causes a long cast of shadows across the interior of the tower's rooms every time a new bolt strikes outside.

Barbara is home tonight, she's at her computer terminals, not sitting at them but standing with her hands on her hips wearing black leather pants, a black tshirt, and a pair of black heeled boots. "Processing the information now." She says to 'someone' on her comms. "No, its not instant. Its going to take a few minutes. -- Because its a lot of information, thats why. Relax." She rolls her eyes as she turns to pace from right to left while all of her monitors are showing the percentage of the information being processed, its pretty slow going...

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde has yet to see the Clocktower. It would be a famous Clocktower, but it is only so in the smallest of circles. Even to the point that though inside that circle, it took Kitty a month or two to find out about it. She parks and heads up, having texted in advanced to make sure it was ok to come by. She has a bag of takeout from an excellent Chinese place with her as she makes her way over to the door.

Kitty's wearing jeans and a t-shirt that warns "There is no..." and then a picture of an Escape key. She has a light jacket overtop, and her hair is pulled back in a ponytail. Under one arm she has what appears to be an orange tabby cat, though is actually Lockheed of course.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Kestrel had been to the clocktower numerous times, though it had been awhile since she last was there. Now outfitted by the Big Bat himself, and having been working alongside Nightwing for awhile in Bludhaven, she makes a visit back. Partially because Kitty mentioned she was going there. Partially because she felt guilty for not having been around in awhile either.

It's the rooftop entrance she uses to slip inside. Her brick red and black suit fit in well with the clocktower shadows though she wasn't trying to sneak like some members of 'the family' often did.

"Hey Oracle," she calls out in greeting as she steps out with hands raised to push her hood back, and peel off that mask she wore along with it. "Heard you were having a visitor so I thought I'd pop in too. Plus she's bringing food," she adds with a grin.

Oracle has posed:
One of Babs monitors is always watching security, so the approach of both Kitty and Kestrel are noted by the security that Babs has setup around this place, both women are watched as they approach and arrive at nearly the same times and when they do, she offers them a light nod and a faint smile before she goes back to talking to whomever it is on her comms. "Uh huh." She says to them, as the contdown continues to roll on the other monitors. When it hits 100% Babs walks to the central keyboard and leans over her chair to tap on it. "Okay, Agent, its processed and its headed your way. You should have it in a matter of moments. Good luck with your mission." She taps a few keys on her keyboard and then reaches up to remove her headset.

Once she drops it on the table she straightens up again and looks over to the two of them, Kestrel is closest. "Hey." She says with a soft smile, then her eyes sweep over to Kitty who's on her way to the big clock face where the computer setup is at the top of some stairs. Kitty and the Cat get a wave. "Food?" She asks then, glancing between the two women.

"I like the suit." Babs says to Kestrel with another light smile. "Come on, lets go down to the kitchen table. She starts for the staircase, her heeled shoots clicking on the floor as she moves.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde flashes both women a grin, moving over to greet them. Carrie gets a tight hug, and Barbara who she knows less gets a smile and a gently clasp on the shoulder if allowed. "I think you just came for the Chinese," Kitty teases Carrie as she grins at her and then turns to follow Barbara over to the kitchen.

As she does, she sets the cat up on her shoulder, and touches a stud on his collar now that they are inside and out of the public view. The orange tabby turns into a small purple winged dragon. "Barbara, I don't think you've had a chance to meet my friend Lockheed before," she says, motioning to the dragon. "I use the same kind of technology Damien did at the charity ball to let him come with me in public," she says. "When I'm Blackbird, I normally have him as a raven."

Carrie Kelley has posed:
"Oh yeah. Kitty's good with the food," Carrie offers to Babs along with a grin, and a wink. Stepping along toward the kitchen, she pauses when Kitty gives her a hug only to laugh at the accusation. "I neither confirm nor deny this. I'm a hungry, hungry hero." Her gaze shifts toward the 'cat' with an upraised brow... at least until the hologram is displaced. "Oh, hey Lockheed. That's pretty cool. Though Damian as a tiger was cooler," she has to admit. "Weird, but cool."

Oracle has posed:
As they reach the kitchen, Babs moves into it further and deeper to get plates, utensils and some drinks then makes her way to the table to deposit it all. She smiles to Kitty and watches the revealing of Lockheed which makes her cluck her tongue inside her mouth. "Katherine Targaryen... mother of dragons." She responds with a light smile. "We should dye your hair silver." She notes then before she offers them each a bottle of water, nothing fancy, just functional.

Barbara pulls a chair out at the tall table, the kind that you generally have to scoot your butt up into one of the chairs, rather than sit down onto them. "Where'd you get technology like that to cloak him?" She asks. "Thats pretty high tech stuff there." She notes, glancing to Kestrel for a moment to smile at her again.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde breaks out in soft laughter at the nickname. "This is known," Kitty confirms to Barbara, remembering the old show as any good geek girl would, even if she was a bit young to have watched it when it was first broadcast. "Shame about the ending," she says with a little sigh at the mention of the show.

Kitty grins over to Carrie and says, "Wait, I reveal a dragon from outer space and you think /Damian/ was cooler?" she asks. Though she understands what Carrie meant, and is just teasing her. "Tony Stark made it sometime back. Really helpful for mutants who can't fit in any other way. At least when they find themselves with a need to. I actually ran into Gar Logan in Gotham one time, and mentioned the technology. He was really interested in it. Told him I'd see if I can find out if he could purchase one, and what it would take," Kitty says.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley crosses her arms, and sticks her tongue out at Kitty in response as was the only proper, mature way to handle such a thing. She does grin after though. "Having Damian do anything the least bit remotely 'funny'? Yes. Lockheed's cool too of course," she adds as she reaches out to try and give said dragon a scritch just where he likes it as a peace offering for any potential insult she may have given. "But Damian is... Damian. I'm glad he's taking some time for himself again." In spite of her statment there's a hint of worry to her tone.

It's shaken off with a shrug. Instead she turns to pull a chair out for herself to sink down into it kicking her legs out beneath the table to stretch. She's careful not to hit anyone else of course, or hog the room, but her feet were on the sore side. And she didn't even wear heels like Babs did. "So how's it been going around here anyway? Sorry I've been pulled elsewhere lately. I'm still available to help out if you ever need."

Oracle has posed:
Babs sits up straighter in her chair and watches the other two, smiling at their friendshp and the way the dragon reacts to the words and scritch from Carrie. "Is he house trained?" Barbara has to ask then. "And... he. He breathes fire, doesn't he?" She's sure of it now, looking at him a bit more closely she sees 'things' about him that suggest his body is just built to do it, but she may be reading into those improperly, she doesn't know anything about dragons really, outside of hipster viruses and rogue computer programs that often use that word in some part of their ridiculous name.

"Things are good here, quiet... good as they can be, yeah?" Babs says back to Carrie, sipping her water. "Riots on the streets of Gotham, homeless people saying they need more places to sleep to get away from all this damn rain. Talk of a werewolf upraising in the subway system... Harley Quinn trying to turn two city busses into mobile bombs." She pauses. "Or did you mean 'here' by in this tower alone?" She grins lightly and raises her bottle up to her lips for a drink. "I bought a new lamp on Amazon. Its supposed to be here tomorrow."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde sets out the Chinese, opening up containers of rice, kung pao chicken, mapo doufu, chow mein, sesame chicken, General Tso's chicken. There's enough to feed an army. Or about two of the Wayne boys. Kitty helps with getting plates and silverwear and then settles down to spoon herself out a bed of rice then some General Tso's chicken. "I've been a bit distracted as well. The Sentinels and then plus Megatron, the robot that Norton turned out to have been a part of," she says, shaking her head.

"You have a sweet setup in there, Barbara. You'd mentioned some of it but I'd love to get the guided tour," she comments. Kitty feeds a bit of chicken to Lockheed and then says, "Oh yeah, he's about as smart as they come," she says of the dragon. "Saved my life, and those of my team, and then stowed away on our ship back to Earth. Where... he again saved my life from aliens." She reaches up to pat his head and scritch it. "And he does breath fire. Quite well actually. Makes good smokescreens too."

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley lets her eyes flutter shut a moment with a long, drawn out sigh. "Yeah, I know about the werewolf thing, and I was there for part of the bomb situation. Got to deal with the Joker, and then Scarecrow." And after she had, she read up on Scarecrow more, realizing just how close she'd come to being really and truly fucked. "Plus that Megatron guy that I got the intel from," she adds with a small nod. It had been busy. "Oh yeah? Lamps are good."

Cracking a grin again she shifts in her seat to reach for some of the chinese herself. She goes for the rice, then the MaPo Doufu like a complete suicidal maniac. "This from the place Jaybird brings you to?" She asks Kitty. Even if it wasn't it smelled good.

Oracle has posed:
Barbara watches the Chinese food get set out upon their table, the one lamp hanging over the table providing a soft warm yellow light down upon them. She smiles at Kitty and then reaches out for a box of the food after the others had picked some. "You've lived a life that words cannot easily explain, Katherine." She tells the younger woman. "I very much hope you write a book someday, only so that I can read it and hear more about all of it is that you do and have done." And she means it, space aliens, dragon on her shoulder, she works for and with the X-Men, now with the Bat-family. "I'm continuously impressed and I'd be happy to show you around here soon as we're all filled up and ready to pass out." She shows a light smirk then before she dishes out the food from the box and then reaches for rice to mix in with it.

At Carrie, Babs looks. "Megatron." She says with a followed up sigh. "I really wish I were in charge of naming things. Someone needs to bring some of this stuff back down to earth a bit." She glances to the Dragon. "No offense. I'm sure space is great in its own ways."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake sends up a message that he is here, and has something for Barbra. It was not a planned meeting, but Tim does come by to talk computers and such at times. He is dressed in normal clothes, and has a wrapped box in his hands if she checks the cameras. He whistles softly seeming to be waiting for the buzz to come in.

Shadowcat has posed:
"Well, Megatron's a name I kind of wish had stayed in space," Kitty says. "Though if he helps with the Sentinels... maybe some good will come of it. He is not happy about them. Apparently studying him is how they made the leap forward in technology that they did with the Sentiels," Kitty says.

She gives a chuckle about writing a book. "You know I've never even thought about that. To be honest I don't know that people would believe me on some of it. As I'm fond of quoting my friend Ellie on... our lives are strange," she says, shaking her head.

Kitty glances to Carrie and says, "No, actually Wong suggested this place in New York. I didn't try the authentic dishes I hadn't heard of yet since I was bringing it over here, not really sure what to expect from them. But he swears by the place."

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley hummms quietly as she ducks her head to dish up a good heaping chopstick full of spicy ass tofu into her mouth. She just sits back to listen now, while chewing, and slowly turning red-faced from the heat of the food. When Wong is mentioned as the person who recommended it she gulps the mouthfull down. "That explains it. It *is* good," she admits, letting out a small 'woosh' of breath. "Hits all the right notes of burning and numbing and I need a drink."

Oracle has posed:
Barbara's security system speaks up, a soft and friendly feminine voice. "Oracle. There's a visitor." Just as Babs was about to take a bite of the food. She stands up and the display is put on the largest screen on her wall across from where they are.

"Its Tim." Babs says, she stands up then and starts to walk to the elevator. She keys it on and sends it down to the lobby to pick him up then leans forward to the intercom. "Come on up, Tim." Babs says then to the teenager. "Whats he doing out in weather like this?"

Because, its still raining and thundering cats and dogs (and dragons?) outside. Barbara turns back to the other two and walks to them. "You want liquor, Carrie? Wait, no, you're 19. God. None of you are drinking age." She grins at them as she just goes and takes her seat back to reach for the chopsticks again.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake rides the elevator up, and steps out saying "Hey, I had to bring this over for you, thought you would like it." He hmms seeing others here, he will over them a nod in greeting "Just got back to the mansion and this was waiting on me." he offers the box to Barbra about the size of three shoe boxes.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde grins over to Carrie and says, "I don't know if it's as good as going to Bangkok for Thai food, but I figured if anyone should know authentic it would be him." She takes a bite of her chicken and savors the spice, not the hottest, but just enough of a kick to be noticeable once she's had a few bites of it.

Kitty looks up as Tim comes in. "Hey Tim," she says, waving a hard towards him. She takes another bite, swallowing it before telling Barbara, "I really have to see about getting me a place like this. I mean, a clocktower. That's just so awesome. It's like something out of a... comic book or something," she says with a warm grin.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
"Even if I wasn't, I'd never hear the end of it if I had a drink while in the suit," Carrie points out with a chuckle. "I'll be twenty soon so only another year and some odd months." No, she fishes for a bottle of water to crack open taking a long swig of it. When Tim arrives she gives a nod toward him. "Hey Timmy," she greets teasingly. Only to scoot her chair back and rise with an apologetic, "Save me some mapo, I need to make an update real quick," she adds with a tap to her ear. SOME people requiring their on-time-checkins. Sigh.

Oracle has posed:
When the young Tim arrives, Barbara offers him a warm smile and shoves a chair out from under the table with an extended leg. "Come, sit, eat Chinese food." She tells the young man. When he delivers her the box she releases a little squeal of excitement and goes about opening them all up... to find computer parts. "Oh... shit. These are nice." She says then as she lifts one of them up and out, its a high end graphics driver. "Look at the cooling system..." She really gets geeked out over them. "My god, these are state of the art!"

Babs then looks up at Tim. "You took these out in the rain?" She grins lightly and shakes her head. "I should whip you for that, boy." She's teasing of course.

A look is given to Kitty and Carrie. "I'd let you guys drink, but... I'm the daughter of a police commissioner and both of you have ways of sneaking out of this place that I'm probably not even aware of. I can only offer booze to people who promise to crash on my sofa and stay there until morning and breakfast."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake will move to have a seat, and says "I made sure, they were in a box that was waterproof, static proofed, acid resistant, and would have took Crok five minuted to gnaw through. Just left most of the protective stuff in the car." He will look at the food and get a bit of everything. "Had then on order since I left the plant that was designing them." He admits. "Luckily for you I did not have them a day earlier, or Doug may have conned me out of one of them.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde comes over to look at the components that Barbara has. "Oh, that's got the new bus setup," Kitty says excitedly. "Should boost the throughput but most people are going to have to upgrade their motherboards to get any use out of it." Of course, Barbara's equipment would already be up to speed to handle something like that.

Kitty gives a little rueful chuckle. "I've spent 3 of the last 4 years in the UK where I could drink whenever I wanted. It's odd to be back home, sometimes," she says. "It's ok, we actually had a bit out at the beach today. Had to wait until tonight to be able to drive out here," Kitty says. "But speaking of, I should get back home. Jason will be finishing up his patrol about now." She smiles to them and says, "Good seeing you, I'll be back for that tour, Barbara."

Oracle has posed:
Barbara is continuing to turn one of the GPUs around in her hand while she uses the other to enjoy some of the Chinese food on her plate. She listens to the others chat and she grins over at Tim. "I was just teasing you. I know you'd take better care of these than you probably would of yourself." She says to him with a sly grin before her eyes look up then to Kitty. "Oh hey, thanks for stopping by and bringing the food. Tell Jason I said hello." She then waves the chopsticks at Kitty and her Dragon. "Bye, Lockheed. Nice meeting you too." She tell sthe cut edragon.

At Time, Barbara looks again. "Once we eat, help me install these?" She says to the young man, returning the hardware back into its spot in its protective box.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods his head a bit to Barbara, and says "No problem, you know I am always ready to rework a computer and see what we can get out of it. "He will look over to Kitty "Before ya go, I was hoping we could get together and chat sometime. Looks like I am going to be training Doug how to fight, and would like t know a bit more about him, and how much he knows about us. Also it might do some good for him and Jason to have some one on one time to talk."
