Cast of Characters: Rogue, Emma Frost, Shadowcat

Rogue has posed:
Its a lazy afternoon in Salem Center, Rogue woke up today to find out that the kids had destroyed not one, but TWO guitars in the music room. One of them had belong to Tatum, and though she's no longer with the school, it was a nice guitar and didn't deserve the fate it got of being crushed underneath Hambone's rear after a fight broke out over who got to play the keyboard next.

So here Rogue is, dutiful Taeching Assistant... being sent to the Music Center to get a couple of replacements.

Her car pulls up outside and she spends a moment texting on her phone, then puts it away and starts to get out, tossing her hair over her shoulders after she steps out and draws in a deep breath of the warm air, her eyes scanning over the storefront.

Emma Frost has posed:
"And this is... smelly." Emma states as she enter the record store and frowns towards the clerk. She lifts her hand to the bridge of her nose. "Do you smoke that here or is that just lingering on your clothes like your parent's constant disappointment in you?" Frost asks as she looks towards the clerk and frowns, turning away to start walking down an isle to examine the records and cds on sale. Not having noticed Rogue on the outside of the shop. Not yet.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde follows in behind Rogue. She left Lockheed at home, as there are only so many stores you an take a dragon-pretending-to-be-a-cat into these days. Fascists. "So what'd they do to the guitars anyway? Accident, or was someone being stupid?" she asks as she follows Rogue inside. Kitty glances at Emma, trying to keep her thoughts neutral about the other woman. Though that is often difficult for her to do.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue can already see Emma through the front windows. Its hard to MISS Emma Frost. She's always so... so white... and looks like, well, a pole dancer. A smirk crosses the southern belle's lips and she moves on in toward the store.

The door opens and Rogue glides in, wearing a dark green teeshirt with a white aviator's silk scarf around her neck, low-rise blue jeans cinched around her waist by a brown leather belt with a small silver X buckle, and black gloves up to her biceps of course... she walks toward Emma, having heard a bit of what she said.

"These guys were playin' at the beach part, ya know, Emms. Ya should go easy on them. They were there for FREE. Gosh." Rogue turns and picks up a car charger for her phone still in its box.

The box is set down again and she looks back to Kitty, she grins at her friend. "They were being little shits." The southerner exclaims. "Wanted to make a band, over the summer, impress everyone this fall with how amazin' they are. But they couldn't agree on who played keyboard... So, fight time, or some masculin bullshit."

Emma Frost has posed:
"That's different. This is your job, take pride in yourself, and the person taking a gamble on your sorry butt by hiring you in the first place. They're trying to sell products, and the least you could do is at least TRY to be hygenic." Emma says, looking to Rogue and Kitty with a squint of her ice blue eyes and crossing her arms beneath her stretched taut shirt. "They did great at the beach. I signed up for their patreon, but here, that's not acceptable." Emma retorts.

A slight curiosity reaches Emma's mind as she steps over towards the box and frowns, "Did any of you offer to help them with their band in any way, or did you just throw instruments in their direction and expect them to 'get gud' as those gamers say?"

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty sighs. "Guys gotta flex their muscles every so often and use them to hit something or else a coherent thought might pop into their heads," she says, but keeping her voice down to not make the clerk think she was talking about him.

She walks over and stops and looks at some of the records. "Doug made me a mix tape the other day. I don't mean a playlist. I mean a mix TAPE. On cassette. It was so cool," she says, chuckling and grinning a bit.

Kitty shrugs towards Emma. "I didn't, but I don't really work with the music students," she says to the platinum blonde. "You know," she says to Rogue, "I would love to work with the dance classes. I just can't make more time though," she says.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue just continues to browse the shelves as if she doesn't know MOST everything of whats already here, she's been coming here since the first summer she arrived in Westchester after all.

Emma just makes her grin though and she glances over at her. "Ya know, Emma. Not everyone is trying to make 'all the money' in the world, like you are. Ya capitalist pig." She's teasing of course, kinda. As she looks back at what she's picked up next and holds between her gloved hands she continues with more to Emma! "And no, I don't have any idea how t'play any musical instruments. Some piano... but, not much. My aunt was a piano teacher at the highschool back in Meridian, but... I hated it everything she ever tried t'get me t'do."

A looks is shot over to Kitty and now Rogue is just grinning all kinds of mischievously. "Doug and mix tape huh? Ya know what those mean, right?" She leans toward Kitty. "Its Doug invitin' ya for a trip to 'bone town USA'. All aboard the Doug Train! Toot toot!" She really plays up the 'Toot Toot' part too, doing the arm pump and all.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma rolls her eyes at Rogue and Kitty. "You know you make time for whats important to you. If it's something you really want to do, you'll make sacrifices to do it." Frost says with a glance over her shoulder before she turns back to the clerk and smirks. "You know where the skunk girl over there lives, right?" Emma says, reaching into her phone and from the mini wallet on the back she pulls out a couple of currency notes and passes them over to the boy. "Come by there and teach the children who are interested how to play some insturments will you. It's a great skill to have, and since none of us know, I'm going to ask you, before you say 'no' however, I'll pay you your gig rate, easy. fair. good." Emma then turns around on her heel and squints at Rogue again then with a sultry glance to Kitty, Emma repeats clincially, "Toot. Toot."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde covers up her face at their comments about the mix tape. "Oh god you two are bad," Kitty says. She shakes her head at Rogue, while Emma just kind of gets a flat look. "You know I've got a ring on my finger, Anna-Marie. I mean it's a promise ring, but still. I'm spoken for, and happily so," she says.

She waggles a finger at Rogue. "You just wish you had people giving you mixed tapes," she says. Before adding in a quiet voice, "Instead of cars, and boats and... passing you their phone numbers. Ok, I really don't do well at this snappy repartee," she admits.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue just laughs at Emma as she does the Toot-Toot as well, giving the woman a decisive nod in agreement that the concur on the meaning of the mixed tape. She notes Emma hiring the employees to train the students in music and then looks back to Frost. "Thats not a really bad idea, actually. Music class is one'a the most popular, but we've not had a music teacher in forever... Jean'll flip her lid if she finds out you're hirin' random people t'come t'the school though, Barbie-doll."

Rogue exhales sharply at Kitty though. "I'm just yankin' your chains, Pryde. I know you're plenty happy with Jason... I just... I don't know, you're young. I worry that ya'll are movin' too fast. Trust me, I almost got married once already myself! I realized it was waaay too soon." She pauses, then adds. "Eventually."

Now Rogue is moving toward the guitars all lined up on the back wall.

Emma Frost has posed:
"You have hung out here for *pause* years. Then you became an avenger and no one here has said anything about it. They're pretty well vetted and it's not like we're inviting them to really do a whole lot. They're coming one day a week to teach how to play instruements. Nothing more nothing less."

Emma finds herself agreeing with Rogue though, "You're both the same age, stop being so condesending about that, --- A promise ring?" Emma asks, stopping mid thought. "You're wearing your boyfriends, dead ... Is he his grandmother? ... anyways, you're wearing an heirloom ring as a fucking promise ring?!" Emma asks and almost bursts out laughing, but holds it in. "Oh Kitty... Kitty, Kitty, Kitty." Emma turns around and lifts one hand to pump in the air twice. "Toot. Toot." And she starts to walk away.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde leans back against one of the walls beside the instruments. "Janet said the same thing when I first was getting to know her. About it being a mistake to marry young. Though she apparently had a bad time of her first marriage," Kitty says. She frowns a bit. "I'm not rushing in. I mean, we're not engaged yet so it can't be rushing yet, right?" Kitty asks with a shrug.

"But he... it feels a lot different than it ever did with Pete. Or, with Pete," Kitty says. She shrugs, and then glances up, seeing she's sharing this stuff with Emma Frost. Kitty's expression sours slightly and she pushes off the wall. "Yeah, just clear it with Jean first," she agrees, to change the subject judging by her thoughts.

Rogue has posed:
"I'm not arguin' those points." Rogue tells Emma as she watches the White Queen start to walk off. "They'd be a good resource for the Musically interested at the school. You're not wrong at all." Rogue gives her a little grin before she turns then to Kitty.

A moment later and Rogue is bumping shoulders with Kitty lightly. "I know you're happy and I'm just teasin' ya. You made a good point the other day too about havin' kids young, means you're younger when they're old and ready t'leave the nest. Thats a point I... well, resonates with me."

Then Rogue's eyes are going to guitars. She knows a little about them and which to get, even if she doesn't play them... she can research on Youtube after all.

"Sadly, I don't see kids in my near future as even an option. Got not suitable sperm donars I care t'give that chance too." She says, grinning as she reaches for a guitar to pick it up and examine it in-hand.

Emma Frost has posed:
"Do what you will. I've got to get back to the school. I have work to do. Oh, and reefer boy, put those guitars on the tab for your band. Bring them Thursday night and I will pay you then for them." The white queen says as she marches towards the door and then with a look back over to Rogue and Kitty, Emma lifts her hand and pumps twice again, without the words, the motions are more than enough to say toot toot.
