Wanda and Pietro get a Vision
Date of Scene: 06 June 2019
Location: Game Room - Avenger's Mansion
Synopsis: Vision returns to the mansion, greeted by Pietro, Steve, Janet and Wanda.
Cast of Characters: Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, Vision, Captain America, Wasp (van Dyne)

Quicksilver has posed:
It was a quiet day at the Avengers mansion, which may be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you look at it. Sure a few Avengers were probably off saving the world somewhere, but at the mansion? quiet. Too quiet. That is, until Pietro arrives.

The Fastest Mutant comes in like a sonic canon, though he's sure to slow down before he bursts through the door so as to not accidentally break - everything - upon arrival.

He immediately goes into the kitchen and he takes off some speed goggles it looks like, setting them aside as he straightens out his jacket. He doesn't wear his uniform underneath it. Just a white shirt and dark blue jeans with some white running shoes.

He begins making himself a sandwhich and he takes a moment to look around.

Where - is - everybody?

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Footsteps precede Wanda, her low-heeled shoes clicking softly on the marble floors. She's dressed up compared to normal, a pair of slacks and a red blouse, the neckline cut reminiscent of her costume if not quite so bold. It looks like she probably just came back from some sort of media event as Wanda rarely dresses up quite so much unless there is a reason.

She says in her slow, distinct way of speaking, "I thought I felt a breeze through the hallways." She smiles over to Pietro and walks over to where he is working on that sandwich, slipping an arm about his waist to give her twin a hug in greeting before letting him go. "Think you could make one of those for me?" she asks as she glances down at the food he's preparing.

Vision has posed:
Vision lands gently in front of the Avengers Mansion. He is dressed in dark jeans, a collared light blue shirt, loafers and lightweight black jacket. He is natural form, red and silver. Security and the system identify him immediately and he walks inside with a polite nod to the people manning the front. He notices that the place is much quieter than normal, and a short interface with the mansion's systems tell him few people are about at the moment.

He turns and walks through one of the walls, through an empty meeting room and into the hallway outside the kitchen. Mindful of his teammates' preferences, he comes into the kitchen properly.

Vision clears his throat. "The Mansion is not as busy as I remember it," he says. He gives Pietro and Wanda a reserved smile as he approaches the twins. "But I am glad you are both here still."

Quicksilver has posed:
Pietro gives a smile to his sister as she arrives, approaching him and he does angle himself so he could wrap an arm around her shoulders and embrace her, a gentle kiss to her forehead is given if allowed in brotherly affection. "Of course." then he releases her. "Just came back from Genosha. Lorna says hello." he starts grabbing other plates in case he has to make more sandwhiches. "Ham or Balogne?" he asks Wanda, because although he really liked balogne, sometimes siblings can be different.

Then...comes a welcome sight.

The Vision arrives and walks through the path to the kitchen, and Pietro gives him a big smile. "Hey Vis, good to see you alivea nd well. Was wondering if you would ever turn up." Pietro isn't one to hug others (unless you're Wanda or Lorna) right out of the gate, but he does give him a nod. "Its good to have you back. Sandwhich to celebrate the occasion?"

Scarlet Witch has posed:
"And how was Genosha? Did you see father?" Wanda asks Pietro. She glances at the bologna and wrinkles her nose a little. "That is all processed you realize? Stomachs and other parts you wouldn't choose to eat," she teases her brother. Though possibly not far wrong in that. "The ham would be nice," she tells him, patting his shoulder before she sees Vision enter and turns to greet him.

"Viz, you are looking well. And it is a little quiet. Everyone wore out from Tony's birthday parties, I think," she tells him. Wanda walks over to give the Android a quick hug of greeting. "it is good to have you back with us. I trust everything you were dealing with went well?" she asks.

Vision has posed:
The Vision nods to Pietro and hugs Wanda in return.

"It was enlightening," Viz assures Wanda with ghost of a smile. Then he looks over to Pietro.

"A sandwhich? Certainly," he says to Pietro and walks over to the fridge. "Would you care for drinks?"

Vis fetches any requests and a glass of water for himself. "You both look well despite all that has been happening," Viz says.

"I watch the news, of course," he adds by way of explanation. "How are you both?"

Quicksilver has posed:
Pietro looks at Wanda and he gives her a wink. "I know, but it tastes so good, especially with cheese and mayo." He defends his choice, but after he finishes his own sandwhich making, he moves onto Wanda's sandwhich, taking off two slices of ham and one slice of cheese. Yes, he puts mayo on it. As soon as Vision claims he would also like a sandwhich, Pietro gets workin' on the third.

"Genosha was well, Wanda. Thankfully, dad was busy. Didn't want to argue with him anyway." the problem with Pietro and Erik is that they are pretty much the same person on 'opposite' fields of the moral compass....so they often butt heads.

Then he looks at Vision. "I'm doing good. Always on the move." a reference to his super speed. "I would love a drink. we got any wine in there?"

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda gives a soft chuckle. "Unless Tony drank it all, I'm sure there is wine," she tells Pietro, patting his back as she makes the comment. She takes the sandwich when completed, grinning to her brother. "Thank you. And I'm glad it was a pleasant trip then. How is Lorna? I stopped to the school to see her a few days back," she says.

Wanda takes the sandwich over to a couch and tells Vision in her soft accent, "Thank you, just some water if it is not a bother." She takes a seat and glances up at the television, tuned to the news as it often is. The graphic behind the newscaster indicates it's about a mutant attack on a mall in Salem Center, and there is an image of a Sentinel displayed as well. Wanda sighs and turns up the volume to hear the report. "I wonder what the truth of the story is," she says, frowning.

Vision has posed:
"There is," Vision says to Pietro and he nods at Wanda's request. He pours water for Wanda and hands her a glass once she sits down on the couch.

"Complicated, no doubt," he says in response to her comment. "I accessed some of the police reports. It was.... Chaotic."

Then he turns and walks through the stove and the wall behind it into one of many wine cellars. He looks around until he finds what he wants and then phases back through into the kitchen.

"D'Oliveiras Sercial Vintage Madeira," he says to Pietro showing him the bottle. "It will pair nicely with that ham."

He uncorks the bottle, sniffs to make sure it is good and then pours a glass for Pietro. Viz hands Pietro his before pouring another. Then Viz raises his glass to Pietro. "To friends," he says.

Captain America has posed:
The moderated and militant pacing of approaching steps probably announces Steve long before he appears in the room. With motorcycle helmet in-hand and in civilian clothing of jeans and his riding jacket, beneath which is a plain white long-sleeved shirt, he must have just arrived from traveling between locations -- Triskelion to the mansion, perhaps, if not apartment first and then mansion.

He seems distracted by the distancing of his eyes and set of jaw, but folks he knows brings him back to the present like a pinch in the arm. "Hey, W -- Vision!" It's enough to bring forth a short laugh of surprise from the Captain. "Wow, it's been...long enough," he decides. He strides over, offering a hand for the man to shake. "Glad to have you back."

His glance over at the TV is enough to sober him again. His eyes flicker to Wanda and Pietro. "You two holding up?"

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
A buzzing noise can be heard in the hall, just faint enough to be only audible to someone with keen hearing, and then there's a subtle surge of rushing air and Janet walks into the room, digging in her purse. "Steve, I'm ready-- oh!" She looks up in surprise at the others nearby, but it translates into a beaming smile. The narrow black clutch is quickly snapped shut and shouldered. Janet looks like nothing so much as a fresh peppermint, wearing a deeply cream one-piece dress with a knee-length hemline, something in between a skirt and a qipao. It's hemmed all in thin red, and a sash around her waist ties off into a literal bow at the small of her back. Slingback red pumps perfectly match the dress and give her a modest height advantage.

She hustles over to Vision with a readied hug. "I'm so glad you're back!" she tells the synthetic lifeform. "It's just not the same when you're not around. How's tricks?" She steps back and loosely wraps her arms around Steve's left bicep, then leans around him and mouths a 'hi' to go with the smile she directs at the Maximoff twins. "You two staying out of trouble?"

Quicksilver has posed:
Pietro looks at Wanda with a smile. "Most likely, there's wine...if it was all gone, Tony would've taken the fridge too." when asked how Lorna is, Pietro nods. "She's doing alright. Some fun social situations, but she's fine." He then looks at Vision and gives a light nod, before looking to his sister. "More than likely, its not the truth. Most news channel never say the truth of what actually happened...anything for drama and a story."

To Vision, Pietro gives a smile in thanks as he finishes up Visions sandwhich, offering it to him in exchange for the wine. "To friends." he'll clink his glass to Visions own before sipping.

Then Cap walks on in. "Hey Steve, guess who's back." at the question, Pietro shrugs. "Well enough. You?" then Janet enters the room and Pietro gives her a gentle nod in greeting. "Hey Janet. Good to see you. As for staying out of trouble, well..." Pietro implies that he probably got into trouble, much to the possible scolding of Wanda.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda Maximoff thanks Vision for the water, the Transian woman a little more dressed up than usual in slacks and a blouse from JVD Fashion. She made an appearance earlier at a charity event for the UN Commission on Literacy that has become one of Wanda's favorite charitable topics of late.

Wanda glances over as Steve and Janet arrive. The woman's face comes alight and green eyes reflect her smile that is given to them. "There you both are. Viz was just complaining how quiet it was about the mansion," she tells them warmly. She sets her sandwich back on her plate, wiping her fingers as she slips a phone from a pocket.

Steve's comment draws a soft sigh and a nod from the Scarlet Witch. "Yes. Though frustrated," she says, glancing at the TV which is showing the outside of the mall and the police cars that surrounded the building yesterday. "While we are on this subject, I wanted to let you know... I am planning to help shield our friends at Xavier's School from notice by the outside world. It might be a tricky bit of magic, which I'll be getting some help from others such as Stephen for. If any of you might be willing to help, there is some preparation required to gather everything we'll need," she says.

Wanda taps out something on her phone, then says to Pietro, "Oh, a social situation? I didn't realize our sister /had/ social situations." Wanda says in a warm, light-hearted way, which to Pietro might suggest maybe the distance that existed between Wanda and Lorna is indeed beginning to be bridged, as Wanda had indicated she hoped to do. "I want to see if she and the school are ok," she comments, sending off a text.

Vision has posed:
Vision thanks Pietro for the sandwhich. When Steve and Janet come in, he rises from the kitchen stool.

"It is good to see you, Captain," he says, shaking hands. "And you, too," Viz adds returning Janet's hug.

"I am fine. You both look very well," he says, noting their body language impassively.

"Is there an event today? Ms. Maximoff, you are unusually well dressed."

He then offers his help when she mentions the need.

Captain America has posed:
With Janet at his side, the Captain can be seen to relax a visible notch from his concerned attention on both Pietro and Wanda. A warm nod to both siblings and to Wanda in particular, "I think that's a great idea. Let us know when you mean to do it, put it through the channels. I'm sure we can scrape up a few helping hands for setting it up."

He squeezes his arm against his side, a hug for the Wasp without outright demonstrating it, stoic as he is. "I can't complain, I guess, in regards to myself," the man shares, though he does take a moment to scratch at the back of his neck briefly as if sharing half a truth. "SHIELD's keeping me busy enough despite the Sentinel situation."

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
Janet gets as much on her tiptoes as she can and pecks Steve's cheek. His arm's given a squeeze back and she walks over to Wanda to hug the Transian witch as well. "Wanda, you look stunning," Janet tells the witch with an approving up-and-down held at arms length. "Is this one of mine? This looks like one of mine."

Pietro's extended a quick but sincere side-squeezing hug and Janet focuses on the Maximoffs as a gestalt. "Anything I can do to help with those kids, lemme know," Janet informs the duo. "Oh hell, that reminds me, Steve and I are supposed to go up there at some point and visit. I'm gonna make Steve do his famous one-act show, 'So You're In Detention'," she quips. A glance is given to Cap over her shoulder and she blows a flirty kiss at him. "Kids'll love it, I'm sure."

Quicksilver has posed:
Pietro seems to look amused at Wanda as she speaks about Lorna. "Neither did I, but she's getting there." and then he goes back to eating his sammich. Though as the Vision speaks about Wanda's mode of attire. "Why do you think she has an event today? can't a woman dress nice?" oh yes, Pietro sees an oppurtunity to put Vision on the spot in one of the best ways he knows how, and he is just smiling from ear to ear. Then he looks at Wanda

"We'll visit later." he agrees.

Then he looks at Rogers as he speaks. "Sounds like a plan Cap, we'll get it through when its time. I wish SHIELD would focus entirely on the Sentinel situation. Just one on the loose could mean the death of dozens of mutants."

But then he looks at Janet as she gives him a quick side hug that he doesn't have much time to return. "Oh yes, I saw it on YouTube. I can see Cap's acting chops hard at work."

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda Maximoff gives a soft laugh towards Pietro. "He's right. And Janet's right of course, this is one of yours, Janet," Wanda says, changing the person that she's speaking to from one sentence to the next. Wanda looks down at it and says, "One of the outfits we got when you took us shopping." The Transian woman's expression as she regards her attire is a pleased smile. She looks good in it, as one would expect in something Janet not only designed, but helped pick out for someone. And that feeling has buoyed Wanda up, as one's appearance often can do for people.

Wanda gives Steve a grateful smile at the offer of help. "Thank you. It is good to hear we have been working with them as much as we have," Wanda says. She looks back to Vision to give him more of an answer to his question. "We delivered books to a number of underfunded schools, and kicked off a reading is fun initiative with them," she explains. Wanda's face lights up. "I read to a group of... I believe they were second graders? And one of them told me I had the best voice and accent for 'Flopsy Rabbit' that she'd ever heard," Wanda says, smiling. Before getting a thoughtful look. "Though, I wasn't doing any voices, so I guess I just have a rabbit voice?"

Captain America has posed:
The jibes about those dratted one-offs with helpful common sense and buck-up one-liners abounding is enough to make Steve laugh and roll his eyes, the expression one rarely seen.

"Pretty sure the staff at Xavier's don't need me lecturing about detention. They probably have lecturing down pat," he says drily. "Janet's not wrong though, we're due for a visit. Soon?" He glances over at the Wasp, eyebrows lifted to match his query.

Vision has posed:
Vision smiles to himself as he listens to his fellow Avengers chat. He finishes his sandwhich and wipes his mouth with a napkin.%"Thank you for the sandwhich," Viz says to Pietro while dealing with his dishes.

"I am afraid something else needs my attention. Still, it is good to see you all," he says with a smile. Then he makes his way out.

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
"Flopsy rabbit is Transian, everyone knows this," Janet reassures Wanda. She smiles over at Vision when the android takes his leave. "I'm glad you're back in the Mansion, Vis. Don't be a stranger, huh?" she prompts him, and wiggles fingers farewell.

Janet focuses back on the Maximoffs. "I think SHIELD's as tied up about this Sentinel business as anyone," she reminds Pietro. "They've got conflicts going between state, Federal, and NATO authorities. I think they can step in if there's evidence of a Sentinel going on a rampage but they're being deployed lawfully, so.." She wiggles bare shoulders, making a weighing motion with her hands. "Personally I think we oughta chuck every one of the damn things in the recycling bin, but no one asked me. I'm doing what I can with my social media campaigns, though. It's helping some. I've got Steve booked up to race against Johnny Storm," she adds, wiggling a thumb back at Cap. "For charity. Gotta ask Tony about building us a 'completely legal' racecar," she says, carefully curling fingers to bracket the term. "I don't know what the rules are, but I'm sure if anyone can mercilessly exploit them, it's Tony."

Quicksilver has posed:
Pietro falls into a sort of silence as multiple topics are discussed. Though his eyes do fall on Janet as she speaks of how spread thin Shield is at the moment, but he just looks away and probably grumbles something about S.H.I.E.L.D. trashing all the Sentinels. but..oh well. "Later Vision." He then looks at Wanda. "You have a lovely voice, and don't sound like a flopsy rabbit."

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda waves good bye to Vision, and then finally starts in on her ham sandwich that her brother made her. "Thank you, Pietro," she says, wiping her fingers over a bit of mayo on her lip before speaking to him as she hefts the sandwich to indicate what the gratitude is for. "I hope your visit goes well. It is good that they have a place to grow up and be accepted," she says. Wanda's eyes go over to Pietro, her expression slipping a bit as if she's recalling some things from the twin's own past where she wishes they'd had that.

"I am just glad we're down to one Janet. I would have never said before that there was such as thing as too much Janet. But it turns out? There is," Wanda says in her slow way of speaking, flashing a soft grin over to Janet at the end of that.

Captain America has posed:
"Right...that race," Steve murmurs to himself, allowing himself a small wry smile. It just barely showcases dimples; he doesn't want to give away just how much he's dying to do something other than worry over the state of New York City and his professional capabilities, but those who know him well will mark it. Vision gets a wave goodbye and the Captain sighs at the empty wall. Internally, he wishes he had that ability from time to time.

"Janet's not wrong though... SHIELD's in it to their ears. We're doing what we can," assures the senior agent of SHIELD itself. "Still, you know who's also right? Wanda." Walking past Janet, he tweaks at the bow on her back, as if to untie it without actually doing so.

"One Janet's enough." He heads for one of the doors leading to the stairs and the rooms on the second floor. "Lemme change shirts and we can get going," he says to Janet in particular. "Wanda, Pietro, good to see you. Give her some guff for me while I'm getting ship-shape." A good-natured wink from Steve and he then disappears to, indeed, change out shirts.

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
Janet squeaks as Steve tugs at the bow. "Hey!" she prods at him verbally. "Don't do that, it took me ages to tie it," she scolds.

She swings a palm at his shoulder, swing-and-a-miss, and nods at his parting words. "Sure thing, honey. I was gonna be disappointed if we had another Outback situation going here," she says, and grins cheekily at Steve.

She moves to seat herself near the twins and settles into a low chair, sitting with comfortable poise and neatly crossing her legs at the knee. "I think the world can only handle one of me, apparently," Janet says with a dry tone of voice. "And for what it's worth, she stole all my very worst personality traits. And she was fat," she says with a haughty derision. "So that wasn't even, like, really *me*. It was ... Janet, Lite. Not even a whole Janet. And it was still too much for everyone to handle."
