Alopex has posed:
    Once upon a time, during a period before Alopex had ever contemplated leaving the Foot Clan, she was given a mission. There was a blade, an out-of-place artifact that had been in a museum in Japan for quite some time. The Foot Clan had insisted that this weapon belonged to them and had tasked the fox with stealing it back.

    In the moments after she attacked the Shredder for a second time, she had left that scene, darted back to the quarters they had given her, taken all the information she had on this strange blade, and had left. At Winterfall Dojo, she had kept it tucked away under the carpet, a personal project that she was still researching. Then she saw a newspaper that brought it all together. The exhibit was finally coming to the United States.

    She rifled through all the papers, research the security that moved with the exhibit, how it would travel, and then realized that she had left -something- behind. The Foot would know about the Shard, would know similar information, and she had resolved to ensure they never got their hands on it.

    Fast forward to the current moment. Alopex was darting from one rooftop to the next, keeping an eye on a very non-descript vehicle that had a rather large SUV in front and behind it. Those SUV's weren't part of the convoy, they were thieves hired to steal the sword for Someone. Today that blade was going to be stolen by -someone-.

        It would -not- be the Foot Clan.

Pippi has posed:
    Followign behind Alopex as she moves through the city, keeping up with a little difficulty was the red-and-white mutant dog. Her ears were on high alert. She'd been briefed about the mission, and had gone over the plans with Alopex in quiet, but wasn't supposed to be part of the 'main strike'. Something about not being ready yet.

    But she knew The Foot would be there, and that Alopex would be in trouble if things went south in a hurry -- how could she not come to help her friend?

When Alopex told him she was going to steal something to keep the Foot from stealing it, at first he was a bit hesitant. But he decided to help her out because it would hurt the Foot and that was his main goal right now.

Behind the SUVs is a black motorcycle, with a rider wearing all black and a matted out helmet. If there's one thing he's learned from his working with the Punisher, maintaining a hidden identity is important. He's using the same callsign as he has with Punisher and Microchip, 'Lion'.

Alopex has posed:
    She had given simple instruction: Pippi could come, she could act as support, but if things got really really serious Alopex had sternly asked that Pippi find safe ground away from the attack. It wasn't that Alopex didn't trust Pippi, she just didn't want the pup to get in over her head, lose control and have something bad happen. Maybe she could prove her wrong! That would be ideal, if the chance arose.

    With Cody on the flank, Alopex is feeling confident about all of this. She had originally planned to do this on her own, but with a few people on support, this should go smoothly. Right? ..... RIGHT? With the two large black SUVs slowly closing in on the normal looking car carrying the Shard, the driver bugs out and makes a -very- sudden turn down an alley, causing the front SUV to swerve a moment before making a right at the next intersection. The one behind chases after the white car. "They realized they were being followed!" Alopex calls out before leaping to the next building. "It's now or never!" As everyone is on the move, the SUV behind the white car with the Shard has someone lean out of it with an automatic rifle who opens fire. Welp that is gonna complicate things. F'ing guns..

Pippi has posed:
    The ideal rarely happens, this Pippi has realized.

    And as she comes up following Alopex, listening in to the Fox and Lion below, but the gunshots made her ears stand up. She gives a low growl and she runs, banking hard and skidding along the rooftop as she turns her attention towards the cars, moving to follow along with them!

Nemean has posed:
The motorcycle pulls in behind the second SUV when it makes it's turn after the car, "Wonderful." Cody mutters into his helmet as he guns the engine and tries to keep up. With the driver bugging out this is going to get a lot more dangerous. They have to stop the SUVs and also stop the car and they need to do all of this before anyone gets hurt or the cops get involved since a high speed chase through Queens won't go well.

Alopex has posed:
    With the introduction of the firearms, this whole situation has quickly become less than ideal. "Be careful!" Alopex calls back. If they have one gun like that, I imagine they have more! Keep your eyes open and ears up. At this point, we want to be surgical about getting The Shard and getting out of here!" The fox gives Pippi a confident smile, turns toward the convoy, and then takes a lunge. From the angle of her descent it looks like she's trying to land on the roof of the SUV that has opened fire.

    With 'Lion' following close behind the SUV, the driver starts to shift around, visible from Cody's point of view. THere's hand motions toward the motorcycle and before long, someone in the rear seat pops out of one of the windows. He's also carrying a gun. Alopex is still descending, and the SUV that turned off earlier is coming in from the side toward everyone, trying to block off the car if at all possible. Hopefully it doesn't just t-bone the white car!

Pippi has posed:
    "Did -- was that covered in Yoga? I don't rmemeber jumping off buildings!" Pippi protests as she rushes to keep up, but after Pex leaps, she jumps another alleyway, ears up, her tail up before she runs, and makes another leap, rebounding off an overhand as she lands on the oncoming SUV!

    She sticks her head against the windshield, looking in:

    "HEY! HEY! Do you know how to drive stick?" she offers as a very lame joke. Stick. Dog. Geddit?

Nemean has posed:
Oh good guys with guns. It's not surprising that they're armed, but this isn't a good place to be. Cody pulls back on the bike a bit, his left hand moving down to the side of the bike to grab something from the sheath there. He's not going into this unprepared after all.

He pulls the shotgun up from the sheath and aims it back at the SUV he's following, pulling the trigger and blasting out the rear windshield, before flipping the shotgun to reload it.

Hopefully getting shot at will take their attention off of the white car and allow Alopex to make her move. After the initial shot he backs up a bit so he can avoid getting any rounds put into him.

Alopex has posed:
    The fox lands on one SUV, the pupper lands on the other SUV, and both of them swerve a bit as a result of the sudden impact and weight landing on each of their cars. Even with the sudden inclusion of two mutants and an FBI agent, the one that was firing at the white car scored a hit on one of the tires, a loud POP making it really clear a tire is out. It swerves, manages to avoid the SUV Pippi landed on, but rather than turning, the SUV speeds forward, and the one Cody is following surges ahead after the white car. There's a good chance when the two are close for Pippi to possibly join up with the others! Either way, the SUV Pippi is on is losing control of their vehicle! They can't see! At least not while Pippi is there.

    As 'Lion' keeps on the move, the man that had leaned out the window dives back in as soon as she sees the shotgun. Everyone in the car reacts as he fires, including Alopex who clearly flinches at the weapon's report. There's a glare of 'Don't you dare hit me!'

    At this point, the white car is also having trouble keeping control as it speeds down the building alleys. There's a swerve, another swerve, then it skids out and ends up facing the SUV and everyone else. "BRAKE!" Alopex yells, mostly for 'Lion's' benefit before she leaps upward, hoping to avoid the two vehicles possibly colliding.

Pippi has posed:
    Pippi grasps onto the roof of the SUV she's riding on, planting her feet wide apart as she raises her head, and as Alopex cries out, Pippi lifts her head up and spots the oncoming trouble, she scrambles, falling onto the hood of the SUV and entirely blocking the view for the drivers inside before she reaches for a windshield wiper, and as the wiper snaps off she scrambles againa nd then hops off the car, backwards as she calls out: "PEX! LOOKOUT!"

The call out gets him to turn the bike and brake hard, skidding like someone in the movies might do to avoid crashing into stuff. The bike skids to a stop, and Cody kicks the kickstand down before bailing from the bike with the shotgun and grabbing nearby cover. Hopefully the crash will disorient everyone inside and make this a lot easier.

Wear your seatbelt, kids.

Alopex has posed:
    Jump! That's what a lot of people are doing right now. Alopex has gone skyward, Pippi is lunging, and even the people in the SUV Pippi was on are bailing out since it had headed down a dead end toward a large trash dumpster! Even though they bail, the SUV and it's occupants end up covered in ... well garbage, and lots of it.

    Lion thankfully manages to swerve, skid, and basically stop before anything worse happens to him. While Alopex is still in the air, the SUV and the white car collide, but both had been slamming on their brakes, so when they do hit, it isn't really hard. Alopex actually lands on the white car, right where she wants to be. She had brought along a tool to pry open a trunk, and as soon as everything has come to a halt, she makes a break for the trunk.

        While dazed, people are trying to get out of the SUV. The driver of the white car is out cold. "Keep'em busy!" Alopex calls out.

Nemean has posed:
Once the vehicles have come to a full and complete stop, Lion is quick to move up on the vehicle, shotgun brought up to the shoulder and aimed into the vehicle, "Hands! Let me see your hands!" He yells at the occupants of the SUV.

"Nobody better move a damn muscle or I will blow your fucking head off!" He hopes he can keep these guys in the SUV pinned for Alopex. After all folks that'll do a chase like this don't usually seem to want to surrender.

Pippi has posed:
    "Sorryaboutyourcarseeya!" the usually cheery dog states to the trash-covered types as she retreats back towards the Main Event, and in a matter of moments she's sprinting back to the scene, with a windshield wiper in hand as she slips behind Cody, and giving her tail a wag, she points her windshield wiper helpfully at the occupants of the wreck.

Alopex has posed:
    What everyone in the remaining SUV did not expect was the tone of voice that Cody brings to the main event. Between the shotgun, the fact they were just in a car wreck, and the mutant that is actually threatening them with a -windshield- wiper, they all decide that they aren't getting paid enough for this craziness. Alopex peers over, is actually surprised by this development, and a moment later the trunk of the white car is forced open.

    Inside? a very simple looking briefcase. No combination, no key needed. They never really expected their security for the weapon to be so well penetrated. The case is opened a moment, the fox gives a nod, and then she closes it back up and wanders over to the other two. The thieves are regarded with a glare, "Go tell 'your boss', since I know exactly who hired you, that 'The Traitor' has what he wants, and he will -never- get his hands on it. If any of you try to follow us, you'll end up in a far situation than a car accident."

Pippi has posed:
    THe jeans-and-tee-clad Pippi watches as Alopex retrieves the case, and tells off the theives. "YEAH!" she states (HELPFUL!), and she takes her windshield wiper and turns to follow Alopex.

    She ekeps her ears up though, in case any one's making sounds about starting trouble. She doesn't identify Cody by name, but she does give him a nod as she follows behind Alopex.

Alopex has posed:
    With a small smile flashed to Pippi after Alopex turns away from the thieves in the SUV, she makes a small motion with her free hand for Pippi to follow. A few words are mumbled to Cody, a little bit of instruction, and a little bit of gratitude, before the fox starts making her way out of the alley. Once out of sight of everyone (except Pip) Pex would start heading upward, and then for Winterfall. Mission Accomplished!

Nemean has posed:
Lion keeps the guys in the SUV at gunpoint until Alopex has what she wants and Pippi leaves with her, "You heard the lady. Deliver the message. And let him know that he doesn't own everybody in this city, and people will continue to fight him."

Once the other two are gone and he's back to his bike, he jumps back on it and tears out of the alleyway, leaving them to figure out what to do. Bringing them in would be too much trouble and he's not the Punisher so he wouldn't shoot them in cold blood.

Pippi has posed:
    And as they're ascending, climbing back and making their way towards the dojo, Pippi does pipe up:

    "Hey, Pex? ... are we bad guys now?"

Alopex has posed:
    "Eh? No, not at all, Pippi. The problem today, was that either The Foot Clan was going to get this, or we were. I'd rather they not get their hands on what we have, now."
