Colt Cassidy has posed:
The back yard of the Xavier school is huge. It's got a lot of room to run around and to test things out as needed. Plus it's isolated from the street so people can use their abilities without worring about getting spotted. So that's why Colt is out in the backyard, trying to see what things he can lift and move. He knows he's strong, he was able to pick up and move all the motorcycle frames in the garage with no issues.

At the moment he has some weights from the gym that he's brought out into the lawn, trying to decide the best way to try to lift them.

Rift has posed:
A vertical red line of light appears, tearing open into an aperture. A young woman steps out, who is glowing in a very strange fashion - the glow suffuses her body and clothing, washing out all the colors - her eyes glow - and there are glowing nodes visible INSIDE her body - down her arms, legs, and large clusters inside her chest and head. She smiles as she stretches. "Oh, hi there!" she chirps as she looks at you. "I don't think I've seen you before." The portal slowly closes behind her.

Colt Cassidy has posed:
As the portal opens he turns and stares at the portal as it opens. He tenses up a bit until once the woman steps out and is nice, he relaxes a bit, "Oh uh. Hello." He waves one clawed hand, "You'd remember if you'd seen a giant rock monster before I think.."

Rift has posed:
Rift squints. "Well - there is The Thing from the Fantastic Four so..." She smiles softly. "I used to go to this school - I graduated - went to college. But moved back. I'm Kitora," she states, extending her hand. "What's your name?" She doesn't seem bothered by the strange.

Colt Cassidy has posed:
"Oh well. My name's Colt." He replies, offering a taloned hand towards her, "And I've met a few that're graduates or used to live here but are visiting or teaching here now." He grins, "I just got here a few days ago so I'm still getting, uh..Aclimated."

Rift has posed:
Rift nods. "Yes - it does take some getting used to. But you're safe here - nobody will make fun of you or attack you for what you are." She smiles faintly. "So - going to lift some weights? How much can you go?" she finally asks.

Colt Cassidy has posed:
"Well uh, I don't know, actually.." He says, "I mean I was able to lift a motorcycle without much effort, so..I mean definitely more than that, but I have no idea how much I can do totally...Was gonna try to see.

Rift has posed:
Rift nods. "So - other than the transformed body - any special abilities? I can help with weight lifting if you want." She then points at a boulder. "I think that weighs about 500 pounds. Give that a try?" She smiles faintly as she hasn't really shown any of her own abilities yet other than the entrance via portal.

Colt Cassidy has posed:
"Uh. Well my stone skin is mostly bullet proof." He says, as he moves over to the boulder and hauls it up with one hand without any real dificulty, "I know this thing weighs a quarter of a ton but it feels like lifting a football or something. But yeah, I got shot a few times escaping from my dad so, you know, I got that going for me which is nice." He sets the boulder back down, "I also can't swim but that's not really a power."

Rift has posed:
Rift nods slowly. "Not bad," she states. "Let me try something." She focuses as she points at the boulder. It starts to glow faintly red. "Try lifting it again," she cooooos softly. Any attmept to lift it would be met with a startling resistance as its weight is doubled.

Colt Cassidy has posed:
Colt rubs his chin for a second and then grabs it with both hands. Now weighing half a ton, it does put up more reistance than it had before, but he is still able to lift it, "Wow.." He hefts it up with both hands, lifting it above his head before letting it drop back into the grass, "So is that what you can do? Make stuff heavier? Or is it more complicated than that?"

Rift has posed:
Rift smiles as she gazes at the stone which suddenly... didn't fall to the ground. It just floated in midair. "I can control gravity in my immediaet vicinity. I can make that stone weigh well over a ton - or... nothing at all." She grins. "I can even fly with it." She nods. "But I have sone downsides too. Pain and hunger make it hard to use my powers." She gazes at you.

Colt Cassidy has posed:
"I think pain and hunger would make it hard for most people to use their powers. Well unless your powers revolved around being in pain or hungry but that would suck." He moves up to the boulder and pokes it with a claw, dragging the claw across it and leaving a claw mark in the rock as he does so, "Speaking of hunger I use a lot more callories than I used to so that's a thing. I have to eat a lot.."

Rift has posed:
Rift snorts. "So do I." She pulls a protein bar out of her pocket and tosses it to you. "They make these up for those who have the high-calorie needs. I keep a few on me at all times." She opens one up and noms. "I got kicked out of an all-you-can-eat restaurant once. With the Flash."

Colt Cassidy has posed:
Colt reaches up and grabs the bar out of midair, looking over it for a second or two before stuffing it into the front pocket of his hoodie, "That sounds like a fun time, though I'd worry about getting kicked out before I ever even got to eat anything." He replies, laughing a bit, "I know they have those image inducer things to hide how folks like me look but...I hope some day I don't have to."

Rift has posed:
Rift nods. "Yeah - you should talk to the staff about it. Well, with that - I should go." She then starts to rise upward, and once at a good height, rotated in midair and flew away from the mansion.
