Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie is in the classroom working on one of the computers. He is setting up classes for the fall. A lot of them will be on computer but some will be taught by teachers here in the school He is currently looking as science classes including astronomy.

Martian Manhunter has posed:
J'onn is, right now, shapeshifted into the form of what many students already know as John Green, the new science teacher. With a blue tailored suit, impeccable professional haircut, athletic body just slightly below two meters in height, he's definitely someone noticeable as he enters a classroom that he thought to be empty, of course to prepare his next classes. Thing is, that the room is not empty at all, and so he can't help but say a "greetings" as soon as his blue eyes scan Samuel

Samuel Guthrie looks over and says "Oh, Mr. Green, I was just working on my classes for this fall." He will tell the tall man "Working on which ones I can get credit for taking here and which ones have to be online.

Martian Manhunter has posed:
J'onn nods, approaching the computer "I see... So people can just follow lessons from, somewhere else, without being in class?" he asks. "what are you studying, anyways, anything I could be able to help?" he adds, pulling out a chair from under one of the desks and taking a seat, as if he were just one of the students.

Samuel Guthrie nods, a bit and says "Lots of schools offer classes online now, takes a bit more discipline than normal glasses as no worry about being called on in the next class. I am looking at a science degree, or writing. Right now, I am trying to find the right astronomy class for me.

Martian Manhunter has posed:
J'onn nods in understanding "well, I suppose it is, the new form of learning, somehow..." says the man who picks his knowledge directly from someone's mind, right now, while he talks, he is learning how to repair aircrafts from someone not too far who has that nice information in his head. "well, I might be able to help with that..." he says "anything that interests you particularly?"

Samuel Guthrie says, "Well, I have always found alien life interesting, but to really know them you need to know their culture and such, as they would us. The problem I get to for normal colleges Astronomy, and maybe a rare Xeno Biology class id all they have."

Martian Manhunter has posed:
J'onn looks appraisingly at the man for a couple of seconds, then asks "you know the universe is host of many different alien species, right?" he asks "so, learning culture and whatnot, you might want to narrow down your research..." he says "unless you have the brainpower of a supercomputer and more years than two human lifetimes to invest in study alone, at least..."

Samuel Guthrie smiles, and says "Well, I don't expect to know them all, I mean one man would have issues just learning all the Shi'ar, or Skrull, or any of the other empires out there. I would like to just get a bit of basics on most, and then the ones who I find interesting learn more about.

Martian Manhunter has posed:
J'onn nods in understanding, a part of his mind already considering the information of someone looking for that knowledge. "well, tht is not really in the, astronomy department... I mean cultural aspects of alien civilizations have nothing to do with the physics and astrophysics of celestial bodies, though..."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie says, "I don't know, I believe the worlds and their places in different solar systems might. I mean, if a planet is closer to the sun, then it's people are more likely to have some type of native heat resistance, and of course different gravities. But also is about the closest I am going to find in a recognized scholarly skill that can get a degree in."

Martian Manhunter has posed:
J'onn nods understandingly again "that could be true, yes... And indeed, it is reasonable, not to mention true, that the position and conformation of a planet affects the biology of the lifeforms living on it... In a higher gravity you of course need what in lower gravity, for example, would be considered as, super strenght..." he lowers his head, wearing a thoughtful expression "some of Earth's heroes are what they are just because biology on their planets granted them modifications that in this environment makes for some formidable abilities..."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods his head to this and says "I have encountered a few more often it seems either enhanced strength or flight, or close to it at least. And that is just your generic humanish aliens. I mean all the different types of folks are interesting.

Martian Manhunter has posed:
"exactly" J'onn says, smiling at the man. "so yes, probably, astronomy linked to biology is something you could get a degree on, and use that as a baseground to gather some knowledge on existing aliens... Just, be careful on where you go poking for knowledge, you don't want to attract the wrong attention to you, or, to those around you..."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrielooks to the man, and says "Well, If I get a chance to talk to my friend, Ah might get a chance to go meet a few more person to person. Ah have had a bit of experience with them. Ah have thought about space travel, but Ah am not sure Ah could be away from my family that long unless, Ah was dealing with intergalactic teleportation.

Martian Manhunter has posed:
J'onn chuckles "not all of them are friendly, but well, space travel is surely nice" he admits, having done it himself on several occasions.... "and well, there are methods to travel quickly, if you know the right people, I suppose..."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods in agreement to this and says "Yea, I know a few that can help with it, each has it's own limitations, but possibilities to look into." He looks over to the teacher, and says "Have you ever been able to be out there?"

Martian Manhunter has posed:
J'onn considers the man for a couple of seconds, then gives a quite enigmatic smile or at least that's the intent "well, probably..." he just says "probably not just once..."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods a bit and says "It is an amazing feeling looking out over a crowd of people that are so different but in the ways that matter so much like us. Ah mean, I have probably looked out over a crowd of twenty different types of aliens that for something they enjoy can get along with one another. A lot of our good and bad tendencies seem to be universal constants.

Martian Manhunter has posed:
J'onn nods in agreement again "well, it is also true that humans have a tendence to associate particular behaviors or tendences with ones of their own... Like, all the movies about warlike aliens intent on conquering and plundering... Yes there are those, but then, rarely you have made fiction about just peaceful ones that just live their lifes in their corner without really interacting with the universe in a way or another..."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods a bit to this and says "Well, when it comes to books and such, it comes down to what sells and such. Ah mean even stores about humans and such you don't often read about the peaceful ones. When you find stuff on peaceful most anything Ah believe it is much more likely to be a work on non fiction than a work of fiction.

Martian Manhunter has posed:
J'onn smiles at this, shaking his head "might I suggest reading something like" he seems to fish in his memory "siddarta?" he says, still smiling "it is something a part of human culture considers as a best seller, and it is about a peaceful man... Well, maybe a bit too peaceful at times" and then smoothly, he stands up again "and on that note, I am afraid I must leave you..."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods and will stand and offer his hand to J'onn and says "A pleasure talking to you Mr. Green, maybe we can talk more sometime when your here again.

Martian Manhunter has posed:
J'onn extends his own hand to shake Samuel's one, then releases it after a brief and energetic handshake "of course, you know where to find me should you ever need me." at his office, of course. That said, he just turns, and calmly walks to the door, stepping through it to walk out of the structure. Then it's just, taking to the skies, and going to the watchtower, it's monitor room for him!
