Cast of Characters: Spoiler, Red Robin, Carrie Kelley

Spoiler has posed:
It's a nice day out today. Storms passed through the area late last night, but the weather was cool enough the extra rain didn't turn into humidity. It's warm enough that students are in summer clothing, those who are about campus, taking summer classes, or perhaps lining up classes for the coming year.

The door to the administration offices open and Stephanie Brown walks out. The blond has a tote over one shoulder and a stack of paper and notebooks in hand, while she also tries to hang onto a cup from the just off-campus knock-off of Starbucks. They papers have gone askew and try to slide out of her hand while she was slipping the bag from her shoulder to stow them away. So she's awkwardly trying to straighten them without losing any, while the tote is tugging down on her elbow and she tries to not lose a grip on her caffeine supply.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake was coming by to see how Steph was doing and walking up on this he will head towards her moving to take the coffee and the bag to give her freedom on getting her papers "Need a hand?" He asks her, and offers her a smile "And here I was going to offer to take you out for coffee."

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley was almost always here, especially this time of year when it came to filing papers. Not her favorite thing, but getting it done early before the last minute panic of other students was best. She's already done having filled out her continuation forms and submitted requests for new classes, and is about to go get a coffee herself. It takes her past the administration building again just in time to see Steph and Tim.

"Oh don't tell me I get to deal with you two all year here, too," she teases by way of greeting as a smile is flashed toward them. "How's it going Timmy? Steph?"

Spoiler has posed:
The blue-eyed girl lets out a soft curse as she's about to lose the paper coffee cup, when Tim comes to the rescue. "Oh. Hey Tim," she says, showing surprise first at running into him, before offering a quick, "Hey, thanks." She hurriedly straightens the paper and then stuffs them into the tote bag. Someone observant might catch the partial text "cial Aid" across the top of the form on top where her hand isn't covering it, before the papers are put away.

Stephanie slings the bag back over her shoulder and then gets the cup back from Tim. "Hey Carrie!" she says warmly as the other woman approaches them. "Wow, different look, I like it," Stephanie tells the other woman with a smile. She looks back to Tim as she takes a sip of her coffee which is down to its bottom quarter. "Really? Coffee would be great, I'm just about," she comments.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake smiles and says "I am just taking a few classes online, thought I would come see how Steph was doing." Luckily it is not like Tim is a trained detective or anything. He will take note of the paper work, but not mentioning it. "Hey Carrie, want to make it three for coffee?"

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley glances to the papers Steph has with a little shake of her head. "You can file most of that online these days you know. If you need any help just let me know, yeah? I've been doing that for a couple of years now." She shrugs a little bit, reaching up to tuck her brown hair behind her ear. "Just needed a change of pace. Been compared to too many other redheads lately. And I can *always* go for coffee if you don't mind me tagging along."

Spoiler has posed:
Stephanie gives a quick nod at the mention of the filing and says, "Just wanted a hard copy," before jumping on the change of topic. "You'd be like, our hero Tim? Our great big damn hero," she tells him, grinning over to the casually dressed crime fighter. She takes a long sip from her current coffee cup and then tosses it ten feet towards the trash can.

The cup arcs through the air, on perfect course to land in the receptacle, when a passing student spikes it into the ground like a basketball player defending the rim. "Rejected!" he says with a raucous laugh as he moves on without having paused at all. Stephanie makes a face at him and calls, "You know litterbugs are ruining the environment!" She goes over and picks up the cup and tosses it away before returning to her friends. "Shall we?"

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake will look at the other guy walking away and pulls a quarter from his pocket and seems to consider throwing it at the guy but shakes his head at the guy and looks to them "Cool, I could use a bit of advice if your up to it. I was doing a bit of checking on a new friend and wondering if I should go more into things.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley watches the exchange with the litterbug only to shake her head disapprovingly. She chuckles though, and falls into step alongside her friends. "I'm always good for coffee. Who's this new friend and what's the issue?" Glancing at Steph she gives a shrug. "I'm sure between the three of us we can figure most anything out."

Spoiler has posed:
Stephanie Brown falls into step beside the other two, after giving Tim a little motion of her hand not to throw it. Though she appreciates the gesture. "Ooo, go more into things? Who is she? What's she like? Want Carrie and I to go scout her out?" she asks as the trio begin making their way along the cement walkways through the quad.

Students are out and about, enjoying the nice weather after last night's storm. A few are throwing footballs or frisbees, while others just sit out reading or listening to music, or both. As they walk along someone overthrows another with a frisbee, the plastic disc heading towards Carrie.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake shakes his head, and says "Na nothing like that, she is in the business, but based out of New York. I ran into her one night while I was working. She is a bit different than others, think Dr. Langstrom, but more a dog lover, and good person." He says as they walk. "She is sorta the opposite of him though if you know what I mean." He will lead them towards the good coffee shop.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley narrows her eyes a moment trying to put some names together. New York? That left a lot of ground and possibilities. Dogs? Hm. "Okay I know I'm supposed to be good at mysteries and all but I don't have enough data to figure this one out yet," she has to admit with a little helpless shrug. "BUT... If it's nothing like that, then what is it?" The good coffee shop in sight she lets out a sigh. "Man I am so getting a double shot mocha."

Spoiler has posed:
Glances up to see that Tim is taking them to the good coffee shot. Not that Starback's doesn't have passable coffee. But in that particular case, one does get what they pay for. "Yeah, if this was a test from our mutual friend, I'm totally failing on this one," she agrees. Stephanie takes about three more steps and then stops moving, letting them walk past. "This... wasn't a test? Was it? I really don't want to let him down again," she says with a wince before hurrying to catch back up.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake shakes his head a bit to this and lowers his voice for just them "A new girl Anthropomorphic canine. She was the one the military mentioned escaping a while back. I encountered her a while back, been keeping an eye on her to make sure she was on the good side of things." He explains for who he is talking about

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley ohs softly, only to reach out and pat Steph's shoulder consolingly. "He can be a real workhorse, but he very rarely does things like this during our off time. Wouldn't send Tim to do it anyway," she points out. "You're buying by the way, Tim," she adds with a teasing wink in his direction. "Pretty sure you've got the company card after all. Which means I'm also getting a slice of the Swiss Roll cake they've got here if they haven't sold out yet." It's a wistful sigh given before she focuses her thoughts back on current matters. "Not familiar with that one, but if she needs help, that's what we're in the biz for."

Spoiler has posed:
Stephanie walks with them over into the coffee shop. "I'm not familiar with her either," she says, keeping her words very general now that they have people within eavesdropping distance. She will let Tim and Carrie go ahead and order first while she looks longingly at all of the different delicious pastries, sandwiches, and other treats behind the glass.

"Went out with Barbara recently," she says. "She's been helping me out a bit," Stephanie shares. If they read the mission report, they'd know the pair took down a drug buy. Stephanie reaches over to her arm without thinking about it, gently rubbing overtop a bandage that, if they read the report, covers up a spot she was cut with a knife.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods, a bit and generally does keep up with that stuff. He will nod to Steph and makes his order, making sure there is enough for Steph to steal things from to. It is not a hey I got money thing it is a hey this happens, and I am preparing for it. He smiles a bit and says "Heard you had a wild time from it, you doing ok?" He will ask.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley places her own order. Small drink, small peice of cake... Nothing big. While she was getting used to being around those with deeper pockets she still felt guilty most of the time taking advantage. "I've been a bit busy with some matters of my own. I need to update myself on current events," she mutters feeling even guiltier now. Was she not pulling her weight anymore? That would have to change.

Spoiler has posed:
Stephanie just gets the coffee despite Tim paying for it. Or maybe because of it. Though if he knows her well enough, an offer to finish whatever is left on his plate probably won't be turned down. "Yes, just a scratch," she tells Tim as she glances down at the bandage. "Barbara's been talking to me about upgrading my wardrobe a bit," she says. With the small wound, maybe she's not talking about new blouses and jeans.

Once the order is placed, she shoos the pair of her friends to a table while she goes over to pick up the drinks and bring them over. Stephanie joins them then, the blond settling into a seat. "Are you doing any theatre stuff now, Carrie?"

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods to the two and says "Well if there anything I can do to help let me know." this is to both of them "I have been working out with one of Kitty's friends. Trying to help him find his own style." He will sip his coffee, and once they are all sitting where they can talk a bit more frely he says "And the girl maybe could use alittle bit more help about being people, but she has some friends helping her.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley lifts her coffee to take a sip with a single eyebrow arching at mention of Kitty's friend. "Yeah? Which one? I'm starting to know most of them over there," she has to admit with a quiet chuckle. Looking back to Steph she grins. "Not yet, but I probably will. It's getting a bit hard to juggle everything though. I'm starting to wonder if I should switch to online classes for the non-theater ones so I can focus on other 'extra curriculars'." Of course they knew what sort she meant.

Spoiler has posed:
Stephanie looks thoughtful at the mention of the online classes. "Are they any more expensive than the regular ones?" she inquires. Steph takes her coffee over to add some cream and a little sugar, and return. Retaking her seat she takes a small sip. "I still don't really know her too well. Only saw her the one time at the manor she was unloading some boxes," Stephanie says of Kitty.

She sips her coffee and glances over towards campus. "Tim, how is your school looking, by the way?" she asks. She hasn't talked to him in awhile, time to catch up on some things apparently.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake looks over or to Carrie, and says "Doug, when we found out were play wow together we started hanging out some. He is pretty good needs a bit more confidence but has potential." He says. He looks over to Steph "Doing ok, I doing what I can, but both work, and then my nights keep me busy you know how it is." he raises his voice just a bit and says "And am trying to see if I can get an meting with April O'neil or Lois Lane, and hoping they might be willing to sell some superhero souviners. I got Power girls signature last week.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley ohs quietly at that name. "Doug, yeah, nice guy. Went on a date with him," she admits with a small shrug as it's brushed off. He was a nice guy, there was just nothing more to say there about the situation. Plucking up a fork she twirls it between her fingers with her gaze locking in on that slice of cake. Oh heck yeah. "Grab a fork, Steph. I can't eat this whole thing without it going to my hips."

Spoiler has posed:
Stephanie's expression hardens at Tim's comment regarding the souvenir. "May I suggest you try Lois Lane?" she says in a firm tone. She takes a sip of her coffee and then holds it in both hands. "No thanks, Carrie. Not hungry," she says, blue eyes down on the table despite how she'd looked longing at the pastries and things up for sale at the counter.

Stephanie makes herself look up and over to Carrie to ask, "So, date? How'd it go?" she asks with interest before catching Carrie's nonchalant posture after the comment. "Ah, well, maybe next time then," she says encouragingly.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods, and says "Yea he mentioned it to me said about the same." He tells Carrie. He lowers his voice a bit and says softly "Trying to get the rep of a groupie, to explain hanging out with Garfield and such. " He explains to the ladies "Finding someone you click with can be hard. I was dating a woman before the whole trip to Singapore, but just aint quite the same.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley smiles faintly at the pair with a shake of her head. "Doug's a great guy but no clicking there between us. It's okay. It happens." She tips her head toward Tim at the mention of hanging out with Garfield only to chuckle at the very thought. "I find it hard to see HIM having a groupie after meeting him. He's cool but groupies?"

Spoiler has posed:
The topics of conversation are being unkind to Steph today. "Seems like any moderately famous person, or psychotic, can get a fan following," she says, looking visibly distracted. Stephanie takes another long drink of her coffee. She does peek up and over to Tim. "So who was she? I don't think I've heard this story," she says. It's just asked in a normal tone. The days when they dated are well in the past now.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake does not say a name but gives a clue if the girls want to track it down "Runs an art bar, she is nice and I like her but I don't think I love her, something just aint seemed the same since I got back. Still trying to see if it is there but just aint sure. Speaking of my exes you hear about Alice Adair? Seems the cops have two main suspects. Me, and that new hero in town Red Robin." He sighs a bit and says "She and I had broke up a while back, not sure why they looking at me, wanting an alibi and all."

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley just lifts an eyebrow at all of this. "I'm beginning to be glad that my romantic encounters don't pan out past the first date. Eesh." Her head shakes a bit and she frowns trying to think of someone with an art gallery. Man, she really did need to get out more.

Spoiler has posed:
Stephanie gradually warms back up a little as the conversation drifts further away from things that remind her of the interview at Arkham. "Art bar. Yeah... you could have pretty much said she pilots a gondola in Venice and it would have narrowed it down the same amount for me," Stephanie jibes.

She looks over to Carrie and gives a small nod, but doesn't say anything else there. After a moment she gets a fork, and if Carrie allows, gets a bite of that cake.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods a bit and says "I think I may have caught the dic... Grayson syndrome, and let the best one get away in the past." He does not clarify which one he means on that but then says . "So, what you two been doing besides school?"

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley nudges the plate closer to Steph with the tips of her fingers so it's more between the two of them than just directly in front of her. "No, I don't think you're that bad, Tim. He's got like a phobia of commitment. You at least are trying. Even if you might think the best one is long gone, at least you keep trying, right? There's someone else out there I'm sure," she offers with a sympathetic smile. "Though I'll be more than happy if we stay off the topic of Mr. Grayson."

Spoiler has posed:
Stephanie gets another bite of cake with a grateful look to Carrie. She says, "Well, for another topic, the theater stuff that you do. Do they pay for the people who move scenery, or...oh! Make costumes? Like sewing and fitting them to people and stuff like that?" Stephanie asks.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake will look over listening to this and hmms a bit. He seems to be filing something away and maybe planning something. Most might not catch it, but people who know him well, outside the suit Tim can be read well if he aint trying not to.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley tips her head toward Stephanie only to shake her head with an apologetic smile. "No, unfortunately not. Usually it's a student thing for all of that. If you're looking for paying gigs, you'll want to check out being a tutor. It's not much but the hours are usually pretty flexible and you can choose what area you're good in to tutor for."
