Titans: For Once the Sky Isn't Falling.
Date of Scene: 18 June 2019
Location: Living Quarters, Titans Tower
Synopsis: Two Robins and a bear walk into a room... this is no joke.
Cast of Characters: Stardust, Red Robin, Beast Boy, Nightwing

Stardust has posed:
It's about that time of day when things are winding up or winding down. The switch from day shift to night shift, if you like. Too early for the Lurkers in Darkness to start their rooftop vigils, too late for the Dwellers in Sunshine to continue their shiny-sparkly all-star patrols. It's a good time of day to be at the Tower if you want to actually bump into other Titans.

Colette steps out of the empty elevator shaft into the living quarters, indeed looking for other Titans. She's dressed in gym gear, but judging by the towel she's using to dry her hair as she walks, she at least has the decency to take a shower between strenuous excercise and socializing. Seeing nobody else immediately available, she walks over to the wall-mounted comms unit, hits the button and speaks. "Anyone around? Thought I might put in an order for something to eat. Come join me in the living quarters if you're feeling hungry!"

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake is here to talk to a few people. He is hoping to catch a few of the people who know who he is under the mask today. He will head towards the elevator to head up to the living quarters "Red Robin checking in." He will say to annouce he is here.

Beast Boy has posed:
"Awww yeah, Starshine! I has a MIGHTY NEED!" Gar responds, taking the form of a Kodiak bear, sauntering from his living quarters to the common area. "Uh Yeah, I'll take a honey glazed pork belly with extra honey, oh and hold the bees, please. They pollenate."

The green bear strolls around Colette before planting his butt on the floor, smiling.

Nightwing has posed:
From out of the former Robin room, Grayson comes walking out, pulling the Nightwing suit on over his shoulders, and fastening the zipper. His hair is a tousled mess that he's trying desperately to straighten with his fingers. He looks up, blue green eyes surveying those who have assembled at the summons of food. "Oh. Hey. What's up? What're we getting?"

Stardust has posed:
"Red! Hey, come on in." Colette waves to Tim, and continues drying her hair vigorously with the towel. "Pizza? Or Chinese? I'm kinda in the mood for some Chinese. Pizza is traditional and all that, but it's nice to have a change. "

"Red and green!" Colette greets Gar with a broad grin. "We need blue next, just to make the full set. Who's blue? Sounds like Chinese it is then. More likely to get honey glazed pork belly from a chinese than from the pizza place. Matter of fact I'm pretty sure I know the menu of the pizza place by heart now, and I never saw honey glazed pork as an option." She flings the towel down on the sofa, runs her fingers through her hair to straighten it up a bit, and starts tapping an order on her phone. "Anything other requests?"

When Nightwing arrives, Colette blinks in his direction a few times. "Well, that answers my question. Blue is Nightwing. Of course. Do I call 'em or do I call 'em? Hiya Blue. We're having Chinese, any requests?" She keeps tapping out an order as she takes a seat, then looks up with a curious expression. "Huh. Weird. Just occurred to me, I'm technically the newbie in the room here. First time that has happened in a long time. Good to have some of the old guard around."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake chuckles a bit at this and looks around and says "Well I aint got much on the seniority list if we are going with this group." He jokes a bit, and will move to find a place to sit, and looks around and says "Hey Colette, I am curious do you know who I am under the mask?" Yup the boy detective could have went all tyring to sorce out the clues, but since the other two know, he figures why not just be blunt.

Beast Boy has posed:
The green bear looks to Tim and Dick as they arrive and waves a big green paw at them. "You're the...Robin Robin." He says with a chuckle to his compatriot.

"If its Chinese I'll take some barbecue pork with rice and that pickled cabbage. Mmmm." Gar comments before trotting over to Tim. "What are you getting at, Robin Robin?"

Nightwing has posed:
Dick laces his fingers in front of him, and lifts his conjoined hands overhead to give a long, languid stretch, as he strides with that lackadaisical grace that he's so well known for. His mouth opens wide as he sucks in a silent yawn, and releases it with a heavy sigh.

"Hey, Red Robin," Grayson greets Tim, before the others. Family is family. And Tim will always be Dick's brother, in his eyes. He offers up a warm, tender smile to the younger Bat scion, before turning his attention on to Colette. "Chinese? Hrm. I'll take the Buddha's Delight. If I'm going to run patrol tonight, I probably should keep it a light meal. Glazed pork belly sits so heavy in the tummy."

Grayson punctuates the sentiment by grabbing hold of his six pack abs, and pinching them as if he has any body fat to actually pinch to represent a gut. "Yo, BB. How's things?"

Stardust has posed:
Colette stares at Tim for a few moments, then glances at Beast Boy and Nightwing before looking back to Tim and giving him a little shrug. "Well, seeing as you asked, put it this way. Robin mentioned his name to a few of us. Just his first name. I mentioned his first name to Vorp one time. Vorp had actually previously met him in his civilian guise, and he put two and two together. So BB and I... and Vorp and Brick... all know who Robin is. Raven might too, I'm not certain on that. Now Robin's a good boy and wouldn't reveal anyone else's secret, but I'm not stupid. So let's say I don't /know/ who's behind the mask, but I'd bet a thousand dollars right now I can guess. Goes for you too, Blue. Nobody's going to learn that from me though, don't worry. "

Colette taps in everyone's requests, sends in the order and puts her phone down. She leans over the back of the couch to grab the backpack she has stashed away there and pokes around inside. "Robin Robin? I'm not sure that's helpful, BB. There are too many Robins. We have Not Robin, Jerk Robin, Nerd Robin and Stabby Robin." She fishes a hairbrush out of her backpack and drops back into the seat to start brushing out her still damp hair."I've been meaning to come up with some mnemonic for the Robins, but that list at least helps you tell them apart." She flashes Tim a wink, just to let him know she's only teasing about the 'nerd' thing. Not that he hasn't heard it a hundred times before.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake looks over to Nightwing, and says "Well, I guess that means, we need to get about ten more robins to help confuse people." He looks over to Beast Boy and says "Beast Boy knows who I am, and after hanging out with him and Kory without the mask, I have been thinking of some ideas to help protect the other identity. I am thinking about making the other side a bit of a hero groupie. Will end up putting myself in some stupid situations and all, but looking to have an excuse so I don't have to hide my friendship with some of our more obvious friends.

Beast Boy has posed:
Gar starts laughing and pointing towards Tim. "Nerd Robin!" The bear shifts to his normal self before stretching out and smiling. "I'm doing alright, Not Robin. Howsabout you?"

Gar looks around, a little before approaching Colette. "Oh yeah, I mean, it's kinda obvious, once you know one, you know the set."

Nightwing has posed:
As Colette lays out her "Theory On Robins" without actually giving out names, Grayson just sort of watches, his soft, pliant lips arcing into a lopsided grin. Even when she mentions that she has an idea of who it is that he might be, Dick's hands, clad in those black gloves with the textured blue palms, lift up, as if warding himself right out of this conversation. As far as he's concerned, if she knows, she knows. He's just not going to offer up the information himself.

"Yeeah, Gar... Robin Robin, if anything, would be me, I think. First Robin. So Robin Robin."

    A pause.

"I guess I could go with Rockin' Robin. Tweet-tweedilly-tweet."

Tim's remark makes Nightwing chuckle, and shrug helplessly. "I hear the old man might be taking a new Robin in. I'm pretty tied up with Titans and Bludhaven right now. Haven't been able to make it by lately. Which might be for the best. I don't know."

He'll leave that there, his face sombering and taking on an almost mournful expression.

"Living the dream, Gar," Nightwing says pensively. Though, his claim that once you know one Robin, you know them all makes him tilt his head to one side. "That's a pretty big leap of logic, don't you think?"

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake looks to Dick, and will says "Yea once, someone figures one of us out, they would never figure the rest out." He says in the flat tone, since that's how he became Robin in the first place. He looks over and says "Nerd Robin, and in front of him, thanks." He says to Colette. "I am going to be trying to make some big news about wasting money on souviners soon, and also thinking about an auction that will be for a charity event.

Stardust has posed:
"If it makes you feel any better, I haven't figured out who Kestrel is yet," Colette tells Tim with a broad grin. "Make her a Robin. That'll help. Superhero groupie, huh? Hmm. Well. You come from money. Superhero teams need funding. If you let it be publically known that you're providing backing to some of the supers out there, nobody's going to question you if you're seen out and about with a cape or three. Or people with green and orange skin. Plus, less embarrassing for you. I mean you must have met some of those superhero groupies. You ever poked around capewatch dot com or heropedia? Some of those people have waaaay too much time on their hands. "

Colette keeps up brushing her hair. It's going on a while, but to be fair she does have more hair than the others. Well, she does now that Gar has lost his ursine pelt. "Don't be sure, BB. I mean there is the possibility we have it wrong and Blue here is secretly that butler guy." She flashes Nightwing a quick wink as she says it.

"Not that big a leap," Colette replies for Gar as she fights a particularly recalcitrant tangle. "If you can count. And I mean a domino mask doesn't actually help all that much if you're comparing photos side-by-side."

Colette wins her fight with the tangle, and lowers her brush, looking from face to face. "Okay. So Gar isn't exactly in a position to keep his identity secret anyway. And let's just say for the sake of argument we have figured you two out. Colette Caron." She gives a shrug and resumes brushing. "I'm pretty sure you could have figured that out yourselves with a bit of research, if you cared to try. Don't tell my parents, okay?"

Beast Boy has posed:
"We all saw the spectacularly mean thing you and Stabby Robin did to the big bat at that party. Mademoiselle." Beast Boy adds in with a wink towards Colette. "Anyway, you all know who I is. Beast Boy, and I can straight up turn into an animal." Add in an eyebrow waggle, and Beast Boy is pure cheesy.

Nightwing has posed:
"Fine, fine," Grayson says with a shrug, peeling off the domino mask over his eyes and just slapping it to his chest where it sticks. Giving a heavy sigh, he throws up his hands in defeat. "There you have it. Anyway, it's good talking, but I'm gonna skip on out of eating now. Save mine for when I come back from patrol."

As he heads towards the elevator, Dick places a hand on Tim's shoulder, giving a faint squeeze and then following up with a firm pat. "Keep on being the best Nerd Robin there is, brother."

Stardust has posed:
Colette gives a broad smirk to Gar. "Come now, BB. I didn't see any bats at that party. Or any Robins, for that matter. It's possible I may have had something to do with helping someone give a bit of a hard time to their father which he /totally/ deserved, but you have to admit it was funny. "

Colette finally finishes brushing her hair, and returns her hairbrush to her backpack. Everyone there will have seen that Colette's powers as Stardust include the incredibly useful ability to change her costume with the metaphorical snap of her fingers, no phone box necessary, no stitching and sewing of damaged fabrics required. It's nice to know she has at least some prep work to do to look good after a fight. One area BB's powers definitely win out; his hair always seems perfectly gelled back even after having spent some time as a bear.

Colette nods to Nightwing. "No promises. I'm hungry. Take care out there, Blue! Give a yell if you run into trouble. Not too late though if you don't mind, I've got class in the morning. Oh... before you go... this applies to you two as well, guys." She nods her head to Gar and Tim. "We've got a few newbies lately. They could do with some guidance. It seems to keep landing in my lap for some reason, and I don't think I'm ideal for the job. I'm not exactly the leadership type. Bossy sometimes, yes I don't deny that. Not the same thing though."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake looks over and says "Well I will admit with Damien about I was trying to give him space. Kids' got enough issues without the folks looking at me as the real robin when he is around." He will look to Beat boy and says "HE is a pain in the ass, but give him a chance to prove himself. He will take his own mask off since Dick did it first.

Beast Boy has posed:
Beast Boy waves goodbye to Nightwing as he takes off. "Later, gator!"

"So, Nerd Robin. What exactly is the average airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?" The green menace then rests an arm on Tim's shoulder and leans. "The murder kid? I mean, he's not bad. Kinda angry, but not bad." He adds in, pointing to Tim. "Wesley Crusher here though. Such a pain in the ass, don't get me started."

Stardust has posed:
"They aren't listening," Colette announces to herself. "Nobody listens. This is the problem with people today. Not listening. Fine. I'll give the newbies guidance. When they accidentally destroy the universe and ghost Robins ask me what the hell I was doing, I'll point out it's thier fault for not listening."

Colette returns to the conversation. "Damian's confused. Can't really blame him for that. Giving him space is the right thing, because trying to tell him what to do is pretty much a sure way to get him to do something else. He's a good kid at heart, he just doesn't really know how to human yet. It'll come, if he's allowed to grow."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake looks over to beast boy and says "What do you mean? African or European swallow?, and it is Nerd Bird, than you much." He turns back to Colette, "I trust you, your not going to do anything dumb, and I will help when I can. I know Negasonic is about, and the bird kid is back, any others I have missed?"

Beast Boy has posed:
"Yeesh, I heard you, Star. I'll help when I can. But...you know me. I may not be the best. Just shove whomever my way." Gar makes finger guns towards Colette, smirking and showing off that snaggletooth. "I'll be sure to keep them safe, or give them a ride as a T-Rex. Cause COME ON! Who wouldn't want to ride a T-Rex?"

Stardust has posed:
"Danger," Colette replies to Tim. "She's well named. Stronger than a whole pack of gorillas, and a self-created AI. Who knows what's going on in her head. She need good guidance, because if she goes wrong, that would be real bad. Autumn. The pink lantern. Lanterns are all kinds of powerful. Lanterns get their power from emotions, and the pinks from love. Which sounds all hippy and nice and stuff, but they kind of have a rep. Jealousy is the flip side of love, and love starts wars. If she loses it, that would be even real badder. The bird... he's got a lot of potential, but he's also an extreme pacifist. Potentially really useful support stuff, but it needs some tactical thinking in how to get some use out of him. They've got a lot of potential, but potential is... well. You know."

Colette switches her glance to Beast Boy. "I'm not so sure you wouldn't be the best, BB. I mean you've probably been doing this longer than anyone but Nightwing, right? Experience is kind of a key thing here. That's what I don't have a whole lot of. And I'm hot-headed. Yes, I know, you don't believe me but it's true." She breaks into a grin. "You've got a talent to get people to like you. That goes a long way."

Colette looks thoughtful for a moment. "I've never ridden a T-Rex. You know, that could be fun, you're right. Got into a fight with one, once. It was trying to eat me though, so that's only fair. Okay, wasn't actually a T-Rex, but it was a close relative."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake hmms and says 'I have met and talked with autumn some and was here when Kian came back tot he tower. Don't think I have met Danger yet." He says. It seems Tim has been at least talking to some of the new people. "Looking at any potential people who you have not approached yet?

Beast Boy has posed:
"Umm, yeah. I was in Dick's Titans. I was so young. You know what though! You want to teach the Danger woman to be nice right? I know all about this." Gar gives a big grin. "So I could take lead on that one!"

Stardust has posed:
Colette smiles when the two of them sound like they might actually be willing to help out with the newbies. It has been wieghing on her shoulders a little. She's aware she's something of a lose cannon - after all, Damian approves of her, and that's surely not a good sign. "You may be the perfect person for Danger," Colette tells Gar with a grin. "As for others, Red?" She shrugs. "Always good to have fresh blood, right? I mean that's kind of what the Titans is about. Meant to be there for the newbies."

There's a ping from Colette's phone and she picks it up, scans the screen, then looks up with a wide-eyed expression. "Okay. Forget about the newbies for now. Something way more important has just come up..." a grins spreads across her face. "The food has arrived!"
