Cast of Characters: Etrigan (Jason Blood), Morrigan MacIntyre

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
Jason Blood is prone to the melodramatic. He comes from an earlier age, after all, where flourish and presentation were the marks of class, prestige, power. Peasants weren't able to stage elaborate interactions with one another. They were too busy trying to survive.

The envelope that drifts to land on Morrigan's balcony was black and inscribed with an elegant script, gold-toned and florid. The message was simple: Jason Blood is coming. Soon.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan lived across from Sanctum now and it was honestly easier to practice when she lived so close. She'd just settled her keys on the table that usually holds them. She was dressed in a simple, but well tailored black dress and her hair was braided back to hang just above her waist. Her violet gaze catches the envelope that drifts down and she moves over to go retrieve it from the balcony. She reads the note that's inside and there's a bit of a relieved sigh that's followed by a warm smile.

She takes a moment to step back inside and there's a look to the door, was he going to use that or was he going to use some fancy powers to just blink into existence? She wasn't sure. So she heads back to the door to her place and opens it a little, poking her head out to see if she catches sight of him coming down the hall.

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
This time, he decides just to approach, raising a hand in greeting as he steps towards her door. He has a tailored three piece suit, charcoal with a black cherry pinstripe. He has a set of flowers in hand, lilies and lavender, his shoes shining and crisp as he makes his way to greet her.

"I could offer excuses for my long absence, but I suspect you understand. My time is, quite literally, not always my own. Affairs drew me...elsewhere for a time. But I'm pleased to see you still in good health," he says.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a bit of a laugh as she opens the door fully and steps just inside of the frame, "Well hello, stranger." she smiles to him. And he brought flowers, how could she feel any ill will when he did that? There's a look over him, assessing to see if he's been injured, but he doesn't seem to be.

"I've come to find out that it's a trait of Wizards and Sorcerors. I'm not upset, more I was worried." she admits. "I know that's silly with what you can do." she adds. "Pretty good health. I admit you've missed some very amusing situations." she chuckles. "Please come in." she states with a smile.

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
Jason Blood smiles, "You seem much better acquainted already with the habits of wizards and sorcerors, for one," he says, stepping inside. A vase is summon easily enough to provide a home for the flowers. His red-brown hair is swept sharply back, the kiss of snow at his temple a lightning strike across the top of his scalp.

"I'm always in the mood to be amused," he says. "I've patronized a few comedians in my day. And Dante. Dante was surprisingly funny in person. Not so much in print," he says.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
"Doctor Strange decided that I could learn some things from him. So I've been practicing a bit here and there. I thought he was going to have a coronary when I tried to use a squirt gun on a vampire." she chuckles. Yeah, that happened. "Seems that incident drew out the Punisher and a few others that night as well." she admits. The vase of flowers gets a look and there's a smile, "Thank you, they are lovely." she tells him.

Then she looks to him and there's a bit of a chuckle, "Well, there was my father murdering people and then we confronted him. Got to meet Dracula and found that he really doesn't like half vampires except if your name is Mina." she muses. Then there's a moment she's quiet before she looks to him, "I figured I'd ask if it's alright to hug you before attempting it." she murmurs.

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
Jason Blood smiles, "I haven't grown so foolish as to say no to a hug," he says. Odd, really, though their acquaintance was short, he'd grown rather fond of Morrigan. Perhaps because he didn't have many people in his life who accepted him as he was.

"Dracula, if memory serves, isn't particularly known for his social skills. I hope you and the good Doctor taught him a proper lesson," he says. He's a bit unsure about encountering Strange himself - Blood's reputation is, of course, rather mixed and not all sorcerors find him a comforting presence.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan smiles to that as she steps over to wrap her arms around his frame and hug him. "I'm glad you're back in New York." she admits quietly. Then she's pulling back to look at him, her violet eyes curious, "Your memory is exactly right. He was not very pleasant. Which I didn't expect him to be." she admits.

Though there's a bit of a chuckle, "Strange did not join me for the trip to uncover things about my father. So Dracula was a solo encounter." she states. "What did you do while you were away, or is that best not talked on?" she asks him.

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
Jason Blood takes a seat, "Infernal politics, mostly. Etrigan's always...contending with others in his particular Hell. They have quite a bit of turmoil and he became...engaged with that enough to draw me into the fray here on Earth. Agents of different demons contending for the same cursed object, trying to open portals to nether realms, summoning hellbeasts that eat small villages. Nothing I haven't contended with in the past," he says. "I take it you've come more fully into your abilities, then?"

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan settles herself into a seat not far from him, "Would you like something to drink? I could make tea or something. Or break out something stronger." she chuckles. Then she quiets to listen to him and there's a bit of a nod, "Sounds like something that was dangerous, you aren't hurt are you?" she asks him.

Then there's a shake of her head, "I don't have any powers it would appear. I can learn sorcery a bit easier than others, but other than that I won't have any special abilities from my half vampiric lineage, just an irritating relationship with the sun." she states.

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
Jason Blood flashes a brief grin, "I never object to spirits, especially strong ones," he says. "Alas, your gift is one that requires work and study. My early studies were...less than pleasant, but then, so were most of my early teachers. Wizards in the middle ages tended to have a bit of a...foul temperament. What with the persecution and the demons and the occasional rampaging mob of villagers," he chuckles.

"I'm not particularly fond of the sun myself, although not to the same degree. I'm just not a morning person."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a nod of her head to that, "Strong spirits coming right up." she states with a smile as she rises. Though she's still listening to him, "You mention wizards in the middle ages, was there a truth to Merlin?" she asks him curiously as she grabs a few crystal cut tumblers and a bottle of whiskey. She returns to the sitting area and pours them each a glass, his handed over first.

"Rampaging villagers sounds like a scenario I wouldn't want to be in." she admits. Then there's a smile, "I'm glad neither of us are morning people then. For our own reasons." she winks at him as she sips her drink.

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
He makes something of a face at the mention of Merlin, "There were several wizards who claimed that title. Some were worthy of their reputation. Some were...not. I'm afraid most of my dealings were with the latter. The Merlin I knew was...and I suppose, if he's out there, still is...among the worst bastards I've ever known in my near thousand years of life. A villain, a fiend, a trickster. Not surprisingly, also half-brother to my own fair demon," he says.

"Night people are always the most fun," he says with a toothy grin. "I can't imagine going to bed before midnight. Might as well take out your teeth."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a look and there's a bit of an 'ah' when he mentions there were several who claimed the title. "Talk about copy right infringement." she muses. Then there's a bit of a frown when he mentions that the Merlin that he kknew was a bastard. "Well, if he pops up somewhere in New York we'll hope he doesn't want to do something silly." she states.

Then she smiles at him, "I tend to do a few hours a night at the lab and then come home. Hospitals can be creepy at night." she admits. "So now that you're back in town what are plans? Or just winging it until the next thing pops up?" she asks him.

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
Jason Blood nods, "He liked to trade on the reputation of his more noble counterparts. Made it all the easier to do his dirty work," he says. "If he were to come here, I would know rather quickly. I hope," he says.

"'Winging it' makes it sound so very...blase. My time is my own, at the moment, which means only that I need to find something to interest me, at my own leisure. I much prefer to choose my own activities than to have them forced upon me by foul circumstance," he says. "And, of course, I'm happier when I can choose my own company as well."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a bit of an apologetic look at her wording, but there's a nod after that, "It's probably nice to not been at someone elses mercy. So I can understand wanting to do your own things." she states. "Does he take over for prolonged periods sometimes and you can't remember or do you remember what he does?" she asks him quietly.

"If you don't want to answer that you don't have to. I was just curious on it." she tells him.

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
He takes a long sip of his drink, "Not as much as there used to be. There are...periods of my life that are lost. Some of them long. Not all of them are his fault," he admits. "He doesn't tend to do it much anymore because, if he does, he loses his leverage. And the balance of power shifts to me, where I don't have to let him out so very much. He doesn't like that. We have a complicated relationship," he says.

"But you won't embarrass me. I'm far too old and far too jaded to be shy."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan watches him as he talks, her intelligent gaze noting a few things. "Complicated relations are sometimes the worst. But at least he hasn't gotten you killed." she points out. Then there's a thought, "At least you have died and been brought back." she looks at him carefully.

Then there's a bit of an impish smile, "Oh so you don't embarrass easily. Good." she nods to this. "So were you still wanting to go to dinner? I know before you got pulled away be the world it was the plan." she states. "But if that's not an interest I will understand." she adds.

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
Jason Blood smiles, "Death is a relative term. I'm sure some of what I've been through would qualify as such by some definitions. But there's another saying about death and strange aeons. I've always found my way back," he says.

"And dinner would be quite an excellent idea, I would think. You strike me as a woman of taste. I know an excellent steakhouse. I do enjoy watching a beautiful woman eat a fine cut of meat."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a bit of a look when he talks on Death and there's a smile, "It's good that you found your way back." she tells him. Then there's a bit of a chuckle, "Well, I'm glad that's not changed and I do like a good rare steak." she admits to that.

Then she gives him a soft smile, "I find it sort of nice that you don't mind me poking at you with questions. I promise not to make them painful if there's more." she tells him.

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
Jason Blood smiles, "Only way to enjoy them. We used to burn meat, once upon a time, always, just to make sure it didn't kill us. Well. Maybe not me," he chuckles, "One of the easiest ways to deal with a political enemy, in the days of knights and ladies, was to simply undercook your entree and excuse yourself from the table."

"And no, I don't mind, I have...not had anyone to talk to in quite some time. Anyone who didn't hate me, anyway."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a bit of a squint at his words, "Note to self, if I am ever invited to your place for dinner and you excuse yourself that I might die from food poisoning." she muses. "The modern world is a bit less brutal than the times you grew up in I imagine." she states. Then there's a warm smile, "No, I don't hate you. I'm rather fond of you to be honest." she tells him.

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
Jason Blood takes another sip of his drink, "Well, that's far ahead of where I usually am with most. Being an immortal sorceror with a demon bound to your soul does tend to be something of a blow to one's social status. Plus, I can be an unpleasant bastard to people I don't care for. WHich, honestly, is most people."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a look to him as he talks, "I guess I'm a unicorn then. Or I haven't done something to disgruntle you or the other half yet." she admits. "There were some things going on with the Mystic Arts while you were away. I'm not sure what the cause of it was or if it was ever taken care of." she states.

"So when you aren't being an unpleasant bastard to people is there anything you like to do? Hobbies besides dealing with large frogs?" she asks him with a faint smile.

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
Jason Blood considers, "Old books. Opera. The usual debauchery and moral decay that comes with centuries of life," he says in amusement. "I tried ships in a bottle, but I never really saw the point."

"There's always something going on with the mystic arts. Unlike Strange and his ilk, I find comfort in the fact that none of it is actually my responsibility. Whether or not I involve myself is entirely at my discretion."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a nod to his words, "Sounds like you've had some good times in the past." she chuckles. Though ships in a bottle make her smile, "I tried them when I was in medical school, but gave them up since my hands aren't steady enough. It's why I didn't become a surgeon. The shakes come on when the nerves are frazzled." she admits. She wasn't ashamed of it either. She was a double doctorate holder and didn't need to cut into people.

"I think Strange is trying to make sure the newer students know that you have to pay something out when you do magic, or the powers that be get upset. I'm not sure what the difference is in all the magical traditions, so it's all above my paygrade at the moment." she tells him.

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
Jason Blood nods, "He's absolutely right. Of course, black magick approaches it a little differently. Sacrifices still just be made, you just tend to make sure that...other people are the ones doing the sacrificing," he says with a thin smile. "But I've paid plenty of my own time, in pain and blood and loss."

"I've long since stopped becoming squeamish or...nervous about things, magic or mundane. So long as you're content with the choices you've made, that's the important thing."

"Most traditions, honestly, are just a matter of egos and schools. Where you draw the power from. To bastardize a modern phrase: follow the mana."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan listens to him, taking mental notes. She was usually doing that. "Are you into the darker arts?" she asks him. "I sometimes feel like that can be turned into a long conversation with the wrong people. Like if you hurt someone with magic they might say that's dark." she admits. Though she gives him a bit of a smile, "With how old you are I can imagine that you've done it all as it is." she tells him. "I won't go digging for the darkest and most wicked things." she adds.

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
Jason Blood considers for a moment and stands up, refreshing his drink liberally. "I have done some of the foulest things imaginable. Toyed with the darkest of arts. I do not do so anymore. Usually," he says. "But I do what I have to do to accomplish the tasks before me. I see no reason to remove something from my arsenal simply because someone else finds it difficult to swallow," he says.

"Am I evil? I'm sure some would say so. Especially those who've come up short against me. I have a number of sins on my soul. But then, I am already bound to hell. I'm a little past earning brownie points."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan settles the glass down on the table and watches him as he stands. Though she listens to what the man speaks there's a bit of a frown when he talks on what he used to do. "If you aren't doing it all the time these days then I'd say that's a step up." she states. "And do people just assume by your past that you're not going to change much?" she asks him.

"And I'm probably bias, because you've not been unkind to me since we met. You took my word on things and it was new." she tells him. "I'm sure if the other part of you was out we'd have a different discussion." she admits.

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
Jason Blood turns and looks back over his shoulder, "He's not part of me. We are bound together but we are very, very different," he says. It's as close as he's been to cold. His hatred for Etrigan is evident in the brittle steel of his tone.

"I like a bit of bias. There are many who remember the worst of me, who want to hold me accountable still. I don't blame them. But, at the same time, I see no need to slide my neck into the noose on their behalf. I've hanged before. It wasn't pleasant."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan shivers a little at the coldness, but that was understandable. She was sure the demon wasn't friendly. "I remember the last time you visited that you told me not to get on his radar. I'm still not going to try to. But if that does happen, what's the best scenario, just run?" she asks him.

Then there's a chuckle as she stands and walks over to look out the window, "Tell them to stop living like it's a thousand years ago. Everyone has done something that was considered awful and I'm sure their hands aren't any cleaner." she snorts softly.

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
Jason Blood looks at her for a long moment, "Yes. Although I'm not sure it would do any good. If you draw Etrigan's...attention...you should go to your teacher and warn him. There are limits to even what he can do. Demons are eternal things. At most he can be banished and even then...only for a time," he says.

"And I'm sure many of them have much cleaner hands than I. But I cannot undo my past."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a glance to him, "If Etrigan is banished what happens to you?" she asks him quietly. "And I'm not sure what Doctor Strange can do, but I really don't want to test him or make him upset." she muses.

"But, on another subject besides clean hands and demons. Do really old magic users have time for dates if they are asked on one?" she asks him as she looks out the window.

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
Jason considers, "I'm not sure. No one has ever managed it before. There is a chance I would be freed. There is a chance I would die. And there is a chance I would be dragged to hell with him," he says.

At the direct question, he smiles, "This one does, at any rate. I might be a little rusty at it, mind you. But I'd be happy to give it a shot..."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan's nose scrunches up at his talk, she didn't like the dead or drug to hell choices. Those just were not things that sounded pleasant for anyone. "We'll hope that it's not the being drug to hell or dying part if it ever does happen." she tells him.

Then she turns to look at him, giving him a smile, "Well, this is me asking you to go on a date. I can make arrangements if you like or you can tell me where you like to dine." she states. "Rusty's fine. I've not been on a date in years and the last guy that asked just vanished." she shrugs.

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
Jason Blood tsks, "I'll try not to vanish and, if I do, you'll likely know why, at least. It won't have any thing to do with you, that's for certain. You're far too attractive and far too charming for me to be foolish enough to squander."

"I am old-fashioned enough to think that I should be the one who pays, however. I have nearly limitless funds, so objections on that front will be ignored," he teases.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
"I know that you have big things to deal with and you'd at least know how to use a phone if something does come up." Morrigan admits with a smile. Though she chuckles softly, "I try my best." she tells him when he calls her attractive and charming. "Well I have no problems with money so I won't argue with you too much." she tells him.

"I like that you bring flowers, I can't really enjoy long time in gardens and things of that nature. So it's nice to have them inside to look at." she tells him idly.

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
Jason Blood takes note of that. Might be something he can do about that. He knows a few gardens that do well at night - and has the influence to get into a few of the others after hours.

"I find beautiful things are always a good reminder. Art, flowers...women," he says with a smirk at the corner of his mouth, "They remind me that I am more than just a monster. THat I still have a soul, deep down inside. Withered and blackened though it may be."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan reaches out to take his hand, giving it a gentle squeeze if he'll allow her to, "I'll try to help you remember that not everything is bad. If you're willing. I know that sometimes as we get older that we get set in our ways, so I'm not going to try to change you. I don't think that's good to do." she admits. "I don't have work tonight, so if you wanted to stay and talk over dinner or something that could be arranged." she offers.

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
Jason Blood brings the hand up and, softly and perhaps a bit boldly, kisses the back of her hand, right around her knuckles, "I have no appointments in the last. I am, as they say, free as a bird. I think dinner, conversation and company...all of that sounds rather lovely to me," he says.

"And I do still surprise myself now and then. Even after so many centuries. The ones who get too set in teh ways are the ones who can't handle immortality."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan doesn't seem displeased with the kissing of the back of her hand and there's a gentle smile that softens her features for a moment. "Excellent, though I admit ordering take out is going to be the way to go. Do you have a preference on anything or is that anathema?" she asks him. Then there's a look to him, "Well, hopefully I can surprise you as well down the line." she teases him softly.

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
Jason Blood laughs and shakes his head, "THere's nothing particularly off-limits for me. I've found that, if you're getting delivery, Asian foods tend to be the best options in New York. Thai, Szechuan, Vietnamese...that sort of thing. I spent some interesting years in the Orient. It's a...complex place. Especially for magicians," he says.

"And I think I would welcome any surprise you had to offer, Morrigan."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a smile to that, "Thai it is then. And when it gets here I can tell you about when the Red Hood broke into my lab so I could run a test on his blood." she chuckles. "He promised to bring Thai back, or Italian. Seems like it was a bit ago now." she muses as she moves away from the window and over to take up her phone.

"I promise there won't be any bad surprises or me trying to eat you." she tells him. "Maybe a little nibble." she grins as she dials the phone.

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
Jason Blood grins and takes a seat again, "I am certainly not going to object to any nibbling. I have rather a large appetite myself," he teases. "We'll have to make sure we save room for dessert."

"The Red Hood, eh? I feel vaguely familiar with that name from the news. One of that Gotham mob, right? I used to live in Gotham, once upon a time."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan flashes him a smile, she at least had fangs, not like they did much. "Well that's good to know." she tells him. She orders Thai like a pro, her job rarely left time for a lot of home cooking. So it was take out or sit down places. She gives a look up to him once the order is done and there's a nod, "Yeah, he's in Gotham. Visited Mount Sinai for a business call I guess." she chuckles. "Did you like Gotham?" she asks him.

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
Jason Blood sips another glass of Scotch, lazily swirling the liquid in his glass, "I did, once upon a time. It was one of the most corrupt cities in the world. Likely still is, I imagine. You could buy anything for a price and nobody much tried to play savior. Of course, that was all before the Batman," he says. "I imagine it's still much the same, at heart, only with more cowering. And higher prices. Superheroes do have a habit of making the cost of doing business increase," he says.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan settles herself back into a seat on the couch and she watches Jason as he speaks on old Gotham. "Yeah, I think the latest news out of Gotham was that the Punisher shot up Arkham." she admits. "I mean, knowing what I do about Mister Castle it doesn't surprise me. He's a shoot first, shoot again and if it survives shoot it with something larger kind of guy." she chuckles. "Though he did manage to piss my father off. So that earned him a drink." she shakes her head.

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
Jason Blood nods, "Luckily, I don't have much fear of bullets, but I do rather like that sort of old school approach. So many of the types in the capes these days seem so very...delicate. A little blood spilling is healthy, I think," he says.

"Yes, your father. Is he still lurking in some way or do you feel like you've reached some sort of...detente?"

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
"Are you bulletproof or does magic kind of help with objects not hitting you?" Morrigan asks him. "And I lost a lot of blood at the start of the year, I'd like to make it to Halloween or Christmas before getting mangled again." she chuckles. Then there's a sigh, "My father is still a problem. I was going to see if Frank would help with it, but might need to just let him be and deal with him if he pops back up." she admits.

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
Jason Blood shakes his head, "I just don't die particularly easily. They will hurt. I will heal, although not as rapidly as some. But I won't die from it. Etrigan, on the other hand, is...much less fragile than me. And more like to come out if I am weakened," he says.

"Such is the way sometimes. Trying to solve everything, for good and for ever, can be very tiring," he says. He looks at her for a long moment and points to her mouth, "Can I...examine?"

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
"I'll make a note that you're hard to kill. Just in case I get the urge to try." Morrigan tells him in a deadpan way, but there's a smile that betrays her. It's a joke. "I don't try to tangle with things that can murder me if they think on it." she tells him. Then there's a curious quirk of an eyebrow, "My teeth? Sure." she murmurs.

"They don't do much really. I got the short end of the Dhampir stick from what I was told." she muses as she opens her mouth for Jason to look at.

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
Jason Blood leans in and examines carefully, a hand slipping in to feel the point, "I've seen worse," he says. He lingers there for a moment, not quite drawing back, his mouth near hers but not pushing. Not yet.

"I think I would much rather get along with you than waste time trading fisticuffs."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan is good and doesn't nip his finger when he touches her tooth, she waits until all is clear to speak, "Yeah, I think had things progressed or more blood happened they'd be something to worry about." she admits. Then she gives a smile as he talks on fisticuffs, "I'm not trained in anything martially, though I'm wanting to pick up swords at some point." she muses softly.

Then there's a look to his face, a calculating moment before she leans in just a little, invading his personal space just a touch to place a soft kiss to his lips.

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
Jason Blood welcomes it for a moment, his lips lingering against hers, letting his hand slide up and cradle the side of her jaw from where he'd been examining her sharpened teeth. He's not shy, not by any measure, just controlled, reciprocating without pushing.

"I'm rather a good fencer myself. I could help you with that."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan isn't pushing for more at the moment and there's a soft smile that lingers on her lips when she pulls back to look to his eyes. "Is there anything that you haven't done, Jason?" she asks him in a soft tone. Being this close you didn't need to yell at people. "And I would love to learn if you don't mind teaching." she adds. "Honestly I think it would be safer if I had some kind of training mundanely as I'm sort of a novice where magic is concerned." she states with a sigh.

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
Jason Blood lets his fingers twine with hers, keeping contact and not pushing her away. "Magic is never quite as reliable as your own hand. Even the demon usually prefers to punch things in the mouth," he smiles. "I'm sure there are things that I haven't done, but not many of them would likely be worth doing. I'm not very good at denying myself."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan doesn't move away from him, she just keeps close for the moment and enjoys his presence. "I think he's got me beat on punching strength really." she muses softly. "So sword training it is. I think that might be something fun." she nods to this. "And there are things that I haven't done, but would like to do. Problem is trying to do it during the day and having a meltdown if I'm out too long." she admits. "But that's a story for another time." she states.

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
Jason Blood smiles, "I think we can find enough things to keep you occupied in the night, if we think hard enough," he says with an amused sparkle in his eye. "And yes, skill outmatches strength most of the time, in my experience. A deftly turned wrist can bypass even the most muscular defense," he says.

He traces a finger idly along the palm of her hand, "I used to do palm-reading, but, frankly, most of its nonsense. I've only known one who could do it truly and she was...formidable in her own way."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
There's the faintest tinge of read that graces the crest of Morrigan's cheeks when she sees that amused sparkle in his eyes. "Well, I'm sure we can most definitely find things to do, yes." she tells him with a grin.

She looks to the palm of her hand and there's a soft smile, "I would ask what mine says, but if I'm going to have a short life I think I'll find that out on my own." she tells him. "Is the woman that could do it still alive?" she asks him quietly.

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
Jason Blood lifts the hand up and plants another kiss, this time on the palm of her hand, "Likely. She's one of those eternal types, like me. I think I'd have heard if something had befallen her. But maybe not. We are a secretive lot, we occultists," he says, "My rudimentary skills would not say that you have a short life. For which I'm glad. I think I'd like to keep you for a while."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a smile when he kisses her palm, "Hopefully you won't get news that something has happened to her." she states in a softer tone. "I have a few occult books, but not anything compared to others." she admits. It's not something she's ashamed of, just something she hadn't gotten into until recently. There's a soft smile though and she leans in to press a kiss to his cheek, "I will make sure that I don't get into too many situations that might shorten my life then." she tells him.

There's a buzzer that goes off and Morrigan looks over towards the door, "I forgot that we'd ordered food." she chuckles.

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
Jason Blood smiles, "I admit, so had I," he says, shifting a bit in his seat and rising up to pour more drinks while she retrieves the food from the deliveryman, "I can help with your library, as well. I have quite a collection and I can...screen them to make sure you don't get any books that might be hazardous to your health," he says.

When she returns, he initiates the kiss this time, helping her put things down on the table and cradling the back of her neck as he gives her a full, proper kiss standing in the middle of the room.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan comes back from the door and there's a smile, "That would be a wonderful thing. No summoning greater demons for dummies for me really." she teases him gently. She doesn't protest him helping her settle things down and she straightens just as he goes in for kiss. When he cradles the back of her neck she slips her arms around his shoulders and she kisses him eagerly in turn.

Etrigan (Jason Blood) has posed:
Jason Blood lingers on the kiss for a long time, savoring it now, his hand stroking along her back deftly, strong and supportive as he leans into her supple frame. He gives a low growl of appreciation and catches his breath as he finally lets her breathe a little bit, "How's your appetite?" he asks.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan's eyes close as Jason kisses her, her lips parting to deepen the kiss and her frame pressing warmly to his. She gives a breathy sigh when he breaks the kiss, "Appetite for food or appetite for something else?" she asks as she settles a half lidded gaze on him. "I could eat." she murmurs to him with a smile.
