Black Cat has posed:
Social media connections are useful things and on a wild hare, Felicia has reached out to an old friend of hers: none other than Janet van Dyne herself. After all, the two women were in college together and shared a number of classes as well as a vocation in a Bachelors of Arts. It's easy to shoot an email to the fashionista with an invite out of the blue to meet her at the Flicky Fins restaurant along the bay near Coney Island. It's a small place, but decidedly upscale and requires reservations...unless you're Felicia Hardy.

As such, Felicia's tucked against the corner of the white-slatted deck extending out above the sand beach below, a good two-dozen feet down. The evening is warm and she's wearing a hunter-green sundress, flattering to her form in its strapless curling about her body. The necklace adorning her neck is composed of flawless aurora stones...that are //actually// aurora stones, according to a certain Sorcerer, and they glimmer and wink in the ambient light from the city; her bracelet matches, though it's truly benign stones this time. Felicia is sipping at a wine glass of sangria as she thumbs over her phone and with her platinum-blonde hair pulled back into an enviously-charming braided updo, she's clearly waiting on someone to join her.

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
Janet's arrival to the restaurant could be favorably compared to Audrey Hepburn-- slender, poised, graceful. Though surely the willowy Miss Hepburn never radiated such unimpeachable confidence as Janet van Dyne does. Even with a white cabbie's hat and large round glasses, she's hard to miss. Her outfit's right out of the 1960s, a close-fitting one-piece sundress in auburn orange with a solid-colored miniskirt and horizontal white stripes starting at her sternum. The neckline is a deep but narrow V-cut and her shoulders are barely guarded by slightly flared demisleeves.

A beaming smile crosses her face when she spots Felicia, utterly ignoring the hostess desperately trying to escort Janet along. "Felicia!" Janet lifts a hand in a wave, her pristine ankle-high bootie heels clicking as she crosses the paneling underfoot. "Nono, don't get up, darling," Janet says, and leans over (carefully) to hug Felicia.

Janet finds a seat a few seconds later, setting her white handbag aside. Her jewlery is carefully curated as well, with long dangling silver earrings and a matching silver ring on her right hand. Both sport sapphires. The little golden necklace in the hollow of her throat looks a bit out of place but much more loved than the other items.

"Traffic was beastly, I hope you weren't waiting long. What are we drinking?"

Black Cat has posed:
"Janiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeee!"

The long 'e' carries well enough alongside the wave back from Felicia in her corner. The young woman doesn't rise when the fashionista arrives at her table, but does return the hug with an honest amount of affection. Her grin is as charming as known back at university, full of both challenge and tease, though fond towards Janet instead of predatory.

"Sangria is on the table," the thief replies, gesturing with her filled wine glass. The contents spin and whirl in sweeps of ruddy liquid and fruit. It came from the sweating glass pitcher left on the table and there's more than enough for three glasses for each woman. "Pour yourself as much as you want, on me -- ooh, and calamari's on the way." She winks and settles back into her chair with a comfortable shimmy of shoulders. "So girlfriend, you know how this goes. You dish, I dish, our dishes arrive, we dish more, they take the dishes away...you get the gist of it." Janet gets a wink.

"But here's what I want to know... Spangles, huh?" The blonde cuts directly to the chase.

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
"Sangria! You still drink like a co-ed sophmore girl," Janet teases Felicia. "I'd love some, thanks." She wiggles fingers vaguely at a passing waitress and gestures at the pitcher. That's how Janet 'pours herself' a drink.

She removes her hat and sets it aside, though leaves the glasses on, and her lips curl into a feline expression that's both smug and demure.

"Spangles? I'm sure I don't know what you're talking about," Janet tells Felicia with a note of airy dismissal. She sips her sangria and settles into her seat more comfortably, crossing her legs neatly at the knee. Once the waitress shuffles off, she glances around and then lowers her glasses to look over the rim. "But just between us girls... let's just say I've been lucky enough to be digging my heels into America's Ass." She winks at Felicia, replaces her glasses, and takes a looooong sip of her drink.

Black Cat has posed:
Felicia's red-red lips curl up at the corners after the short-lived hesitation on display. She sips at her glass of sangria without dropping her attention from Janet and lets the rim of it linger near her mouth even as the glasses descend. This is the tell-tale tell of tale-telling and...she is not disappointed.

Her laughter is quiet behind her French-manicured hand. "I didn't doubt you for a second. I bet you bowled him over before he could blink twice. Good for you, girlfriend," and she lifts her glass in salute. "To a productive home and work-life. I mean, you're with the Avengers now. I wouldn't have guessed," the thief admits with a small smile. "You? With all of those do-goodies? You were a wild card, Janet."

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
Janet toasts Felicia back. "Oh, it's been in the cards for a long time," Janet assures Felicia. "I kept it discreet back in school. I didn't want to trade on my celebrity. 'Oh, can you autograph this'. 'Do you know Thor'. I'd never get anything done," She tells Felicia. "It's nice having my MFA all tied up. And yeah, it means no more wild bacchanals," she concedes with a wry expression. "And frankly, I think Tony would die of envy if he wasn't the center of the media circus."

Black Cat has posed:
"I can see Mr. Stark cringing if another person managed to steal his spotlight. Still...he definitely corrals the media for you guys. I'm impressed. I'd probably slap someone and get sued for it," the blonde admits with a shrug of her svelte shoulders. She sips deeply at her sangria again. "You were a shoo-in for them though. I remember a few times where I thought I'd never see you in classes because of your...bacchanals, but you got all responsible. It's a good look on you. That dress included, actually," Felicia notes with a point of her finger from around the bulb of her wine glass. "Your own design, right?"

Her own dress is of fine make, but not a van Dyne, worn for comfort and flattering draping more than anything else. It allows appreciation of her legs if not her other assets.

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
"You get over it, getting sued a few times," Janet says with a dismissive wrinkle of her nose. "Sometime's it's worth it. Ten grand in fees to wallop Tony in the jaw? I'd pay that."

"Anyway. Yes, it's my design. I borrowed it from a Mary Quant project from the 60s. Y'know, a little nod to the classics? Bold colors and bright accessories. Isn't it adorable?"

"Anyway. How about your love life?" Janet asks. She nods at the glimmering gems on Felicia's neck. "I can spot a gemstone from a mile away, lapidarists cringe when I come running. I can't put my fingers on those. Gift from a beau? Or was it a five-finger discount?" she asks, eyes twinkling.

Black Cat has posed:
"It is adorable." Felicia has to pause for the arrival of the calamari. It's crisp, hot out of the kitchen on a bedding of greens, and comes with a steel cuplet of lemon aoli sauce. It also allows her to compose herself -- Janet's comment about a 'five-fingered discount' threw the thief for a loop, but now she remembers: the vending machine incident.

"Have as many as you want." She gestures towards the plate of calamari, letting Janet take the first piece if she feels so inclined. "These jewels were...a gift," the thief decides, twisting the situation to suite her fancy. The unlocked window was a gift -- so was the old safe, easily cracked, and the fact that a certain Sorcerer didn't insist that she take them back helped more yet. "They're aurora borealis stones, I was told, but they have a little extra something-something to them."

Janet gets a wink and the Cat waits a second before revealing, "I was told by my guy that they contain actual aurora light in them. They're magical. I don't think they //do// anything except look pretty, but I can't complain. I ended up with a Doctor, by the way." Felicia can't help the pleased little smile, looking like a cat in the cream. "Talk about five fingers and what one can do with them. Mmmfff."

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
"I had a doctor for a while," Janet says with a one-shoulderd shrug. Her nose wrinkles at the memory. The fashionista transfers a few calamari to her plate and devours them with quick, tidy bites. "There are some, uh, fun things you can do when you can shrink and grow at will. Need to get you a soldier," Janet assures Felicia. "Big, athletic, stamina for days. And my lawd," she says, eyes rolling appreciatively skywards. A hand waves theatrically. "They don't make 'em like they used to anymore, sugah. Man like Steve knows how to take his time and treat his lady right." She eats another bite. "mmmph," she says, savouring a memory with a shiver of her shoulders.

Black Cat has posed:
Felicia can't help but titter at the grandiose gestures accompanying the statements. "I bet he's right ol' fashioned," she opines with an affected southern drawl to boot. "He seems a bit up-tight for my tastes, but more for you, honey. I bet he looks great both coming //and// going. America's ass indeed." The thief doesn't mince words on that thought, at least.

"I'll have you know that...oh, whatever, I might as well tell you. Someone's going to figure it out eventually." A little huff is followed by Felicia dipping her piece of calamari heavily in the aoli sauce. "I meant Doctor Strange when I mentioned a doctor earlier. I //know// you know who he is. He consults for you Avenger people sometimes."
