Date of Scene: 04 July 2019
Location: Unknown
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Starfire, Psylocke

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r was sitting at a small table in a streetside cafe, flipping through a magazine, nodding slowly as she is going through an article by a famous actress. She is sipping a thick yellow beverage as she is considering it - just relaxing and not really worried about anything happening.

Psylocke has posed:
Nearby, Betsy Braddock does what she must to remain relevant on social media and that is, well, engage in social media. She stands on the sidewalk, her phone held at a slightly downward angle so as to capture her partly from above. A smile on her face. She quickly snaps a photo of herself here in Times Square - New York's beating heart. Satisfied, she flicks through a couple of filters as she strolls past the very distinctive Tamaranian supermodel and looks up.

"I know you," she says with the crisp enunciation of her Received Pronunciation - the Queen's own English. She considers it a moment longer before amending, "Yes, I do."

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r turns to gaze at the one talking to her, spinning in her chair to see you. She takes another sip of her suspiciously mustard-like beverage as she says, "Betsy Braddock. I haven't seen you in a while." She smiles faintly. "Come, have a seat. I was just flipping through an article about Penelope Cruz."

Psylocke has posed:
Betsy wrinkles her brow, trying to put a face to the name Kory just offered. After a moment she reaches over, lightly tugging the magazine down so she can get a look at the article itself. It clicks and she makes an 'ah' face before letting Kory have it back.

She takes a seat when it's offered, crossing her legs and placing her phone face-down on the table so as to not be distracted by it. Proper courtesy and all that.

"So, how's life on our strange and distant planet treating you?"

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r nods as she puts the magazine down. "Yeah - she's not as big as she used to be..." She shrugs as she gazes over at you. "It's good to see you again. How has life been treatnig you? And life is doing just fine. I even got to see someone from home recently. Apparently one of my people is a Green Lantern. It was... nice to see." She smiles. "How is the life treatnig you on this strange and not-so-distant planet for you?"

Psylocke has posed:
"Oh, you know," Betsy says casually, leaning back in her seat and waving a hand airily, "Can't complain. Looking at a - " she weighs the word in her head " - potential contract with JvD. I haven't been as out there as I was, but this ought to change that." She raises her eyebrows, emphasizing the point with a devious half-smile.

"A Green Lantern, hm? I feel like we have so many already but, then, I suppose that's what a 'corps' is, isn't it? Still, I'm sure it's nice to be represented."

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r nods. "Yeah - the one thing I don't get is that it's supposed to be like one Lantern per sector of the Galaxy and somehow this planet has so many. Not sure how it happened that way." She smiles. "Perhaps we could do a photoshoot sometime together. I'd relaly like that. I still do it part-time - but the Titans take _so_ much of my time some time. Being a hero is tiring."

Psylocke has posed:
Betsy sighs in commiseration, "I can imagine it does. Still, any publicity you get with the Titans must give things a shot in the arm. It's not all of us who get to save the world as well as wear expensive clothes for a living." Betsy's own superheroic career, after all, does not quite tie so easily hand-in-hand with modelling.

"A photoshoot? Well, obviously I'd be delighted. Why don't we start now? A taste of things to come." Betsy picks her phone up from the table - did it just hop into her hand of its own accord? - and thumbs the screen for a second. Appropriate app selected, she holds it up to capture a selfie with the pair of them neatly framed on the screen.

"Say 'Earth has too many Green Lanterns!'" she smiles as she takes the picture.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r smiles as she leans against you. "What she said!" she chirps as the picture was taken. "Can you send that to me?" she asks. "And - if you do get back in the biz - contact me. I can help you get started again." She didn't seem to notice your phone moving - but is so used to weird things happening that even if she did, she'd say nothing.
