Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Stargirl, Power Girl

Stargirl has posed:
Not even in metropolis can Superman -always- be there, case in point? An elementary school bus just got sideswiped by a drunk driver, sending it off a small overpass and onto a box truck carting butane cannisters across the city. Sirens are already throbbing in the distance, whilst gawkers crowd the overpass over the scene. Obviously looking to capture some up close footage of whatever capes drop by to attend to the emergency developing.

Now Metropolis isn't anywhere near Stargirl's usual patrol route, but well it's on the way home from whatever mission kept her busy this morning. Anywho she leans back, seated on her cosmic staff like a witch riding a broom stick. It's a descending spiral until slowing to a stop, for her to gingerly hop down and eyeball the situation. Cosmic staff humming softly as she begins charging it up, leaning back to peer up at the rubber neckers. "Hey folks, I need you to back up for me alright? Clear the area."

These Gawkers though, well they're not moving. No they just stand and record....lovely.

Power Girl has posed:
Truth be told, Superman had been dealing with...some stuff. Torture and torment on a hostile world didn't do anyone good, even the man of Steel. Still, the city wasn't without those to step up and take the slack up to allow the man to heal, and there were more Kryptonians out there than just 'big blue'.

With the sound of Sirens and chaos in her ears, Karen Starr had excused herself for an 'early lunch break' from the lab and a few moments later? Power Girl was in the air, zooming her way towards the sounds of danger and frightened children.

Stargirl has posed:
Theres a scowl, before she gets to work all the same. That staff thrumming with power, engulfing the bus with an off-white aura. Cellphones lock up, idling cars die and well the body of that bus picks up seemingly every stray nut and bolt as it's delicately lofted skyward. Star grunts, widening her stance as she levers her staff upwards to untangle the bus and the box truck. One foot planted on the base of that staff as she grasps that staff nearer the tip, and begins slowly levering the bus skyward with some effort. Green lantern she isn't, but levitation was never her specialty.

Still she's able to lift that bus skyward, and slowly pivot it off to one side. Not enough to get it out of the potential blast area mind you, but enough to start addressing the problem. <<J.S.A. to watchtower, I could use another pair of hands over here in Metropolis. School bus, gas leak it smells like.>>Hey she's got enough sense to hop on the coms too, right?

Power Girl has posed:
Extra set of hands indeed! Even by the time the call comes out, it's already reaching Kryptonian ears. A swift touch of her earing, the words that come from her lips are about equal with the loud rush of wind as her flying form suddenly deccelerates above the scene, leaving the blonde woman in that iconic white uniform and red cape floating above. <<Power Girl to Watchtower, I'm on my...I'm here.>>

Looking down, it wasn't hard to pick the brightly dressed and staff-wielding Courtney among her gaggle of onlookers and Self-takers, but there were more pressing matters than greetings to be exchanged. Bus or canisters? Courtney seemed to have the former covered, at least for the moment. "You've got it?" she questions, hoping that the other woman wasn't at the breaking point of strain, but already she's turning her attention to the canisters.

By sheer akwardness she couldn't juggle all of the scattered tanks at once, so it was on to a second option: inhaling a deep breath slightly stung with the taste of the gas that had begun to leak, the rapid vaccum begins to chill the powerful lung-full to inhumanly frosty degrees. Then she breathes out once more, attempting to 'freeze breath' over the cannisters and keep them contained, or at the very least safer from a spark!

Stargirl has posed:
"I can lift it, but I ain't got the range."Comes the easy reply, straining to ease the bus back down as far away as she can manage. An easy twenty or thirty yards perhaps, but that seems indeed to be about her limit. Bus down, well Court takes a moment to give her shoulders a roll. Scanning the field behind those chunky goggles for a moment, and well making no effort to hide her watching Power Girl. "Woah, nice move!"

Theres no applause but the thumbs up is delivered with genuine admiration, before stepping back to zoom off towards the bus. "Always nice to have a kryptonian on your side, never had the pleasure myself. Had to settle for old men lanterns and flashes."The door is wrenched open with casual superhuman strength, before she squeezes her way onboard to start dragging kids out one after the other.

"Oh hey I'm being awful rude ain't I, I'm Star Girl from the J.S.A. Was just passing by, hope you don't mind me stepping in?"

Power Girl has posed:
Threat defused enough to lower the buss and for them to start unloading, Power Girl does raise an eyebrow at the strength display, but it's taken in stride as she too join in the directing of children towards the line of police and emergency responders that are begining to move forwards. "Old men Lanterns?" she repeats with a laugh before shaking her head, reaching up to smooth a blonde bang back behind her ear and then gently urging one of the children to keep moving as they continue talking.

"Power Girl," she offers in returned introduction before the apology is left with a little laugh. "Not exactly going to get grumpy about someone lending a hand and helping some people in need out," she grins before glancing about. "And you didn't make a mess. Hell, you did pretty good handling the bus even before I got here."

Stargirl has posed:
"Yeah the original human Lantern, He's old enough to be my grandfather. Hell most of the JSA is old men, especially these days."Star steps back away from the bus, before leaning back against her staff to watch the rescue effort play out. "It's nice to fight alongside a bunch of real veterans, no drama you know? Just nice to work with somone who doesn't drink Ovaltine every so often."

"Oh and, yeah I mean sure but some folks get all rowdy about it. You ever try to catch a crook in Gotham, for instance."bright red gloved hand held up to waver back and fourth. "I was getting into it with one of the stepford mantises year or so ago, you'd think I kicked his dog."
