Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie is in his room, he has his laptop open looking at different restaurants and things to do in New York. He has his closet open and a couple of his suits hanging around the room, sighing softly when he looks over at them.

Cypher has posed:
There is a light rap on the door, rapraprap, and then after a moment's pause Doug comes in. He looks... exhausted. "Hey." he says, before he looks at the suits, and at Sam, before he says, "So she said yes, huh? Gonna trip the light fantastic toe, Samwise?" He closes the door behind him.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods his head and says "Yea, she said yes, and now, Ah gotta figure out what to wear, and where to take her. You know she is pretty much a princess right? I asked Betsy for advice she said be my self, and to wear a suit." He sighs a bit "Lot of help there."

Cypher has posed:
Doug tilts his head, and says, "Well, did you ask her what she likes? You take everything on yourself, Sam, but there's no crime in asking a woman what she'd like to do when you take her out. That can be as valuable as springing a really neat surprise." Doug sits on the bed, and bounces on it briefly, before he says, "You still uncomfortable in your bespokes?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks over and says "Well, Ah have made sure all my suits fit well, and somewhat used to them. Managing the club and such, I need to look the part sometime. Oh yea, we decent coms for the bouncers to be able to communicate, and Rahne is coming on as a bouncer as a trial run. See if she likes the job or not, figured she would be usefull ot help keep the drugs out to.

Cypher has posed:
"Good, we need the help. It's getting rough on the floor. I had to fight a guy tweaking on that new poison with a hundred pounds on me tonight." Doug rubs his bruised knuckles. "TD taught me how to take someone out with a neck punch, otherwise I'd be hurting." Then he glances up at Sam, and then says, "Hey. Listen. Just be yourself. I hate to tell you this, but women have been throwing themselves at you since I've known you."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie shakes his head, and says "Lila, but that was probably caused Ah saved her. She and Ah did have fun though Ah will admit." He turns looking to Doug, and says "Tim, thats the guy you said who you have been training with right?" He will ask the other man. "Rahne moving to the apartment down the street Ah figure has her close, and makes sure she has some money coming in, was a bit worried about her.

Cypher has posed:
"We've barely talked." Doug says, with a shrug. "And really, maybe that's for the best. I'm glad she's become so assertive and independent, it's the way she really was inside all along." Then he stretches his legs out, and says, "No, it's because she thought you were cute. Saving her was the icing on the cake."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie says, "Well we will see, Ah am trying to find a good place to take Namorita for dinner. Ah am not sure what would be best to take her to. I thought about maybe getting her some flowers, but I am not sure what type she would like. Ah don't think Ah could do any underwater kinds or anythign"

Cypher has posed:
Doug mulls over that, and then says, "Well." He says, "Let's look up what's known about the traditional Atlantean diet -- then *don't* do that. If I could have swordfish every day I'd take the chicken." He gets his phone out, and does some searching. "How about Middle Eastern?" Then he says, "I... think you're thinking about this too hard. Be excited." He flops backward on the bed and waves a hand at Sam. "Be excited, you fussbudget! Excited!"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie chuckles and says "Ah am excited about it man, Ah just want to make sure it is the best Ah can. You think that would be best or you think she is living here in town maybe something that was more like home. Ah know if ah find a place that does southern food well, it reminds me of home.

Cypher has posed:
Doug says, "Melba's on west 114th street." He pulls a pillow over his head, and says into it, muffled, "You're welcome." Then he says, "Just be you, I'm telling you. You can't be anybody other than you."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie says, "Well who else am Ah going to be, Berto, Ah think Ah am to tall to be him." He jokes a bit at his friend, and says "Ah am going to try to be me, Ah am planning on taking the bike. Ah probably should rent a car, cause Ah know Ah am not going to take the wagon, Ah don't want to look like that dork. Ah will need to make sure Ah get a helmet for her."

Cypher has posed:
"Well I mean you could be me but you don't rock a bowtie the way I do, besides, *I* would just end up breaking her heart." Doug says, peeking out from under the pillow. "Illyana says 'go to hell' by the way, but she really means quit fussing over her so much." He sucks in a sigh, and says, "I asked her out. She said no." He puts the pillow back over his face. "I'm OK with it."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks over to him, and raises a brow at this "Aww man, sorry to hear she said no, she has been acting a bit weird though. Ah mean, she seems to actually be trying to be out and about more, which you know Ah all for, but we were out on Kitty's boat, and Ah pretty much had to pull the boat over cause of her and Megan.

Cypher has posed:
Doug peeks out underneath it at Sam, and says, "Try talking to her. Without fussing." He says, before he sighs, and then sits up. "Listen. You've *got* this, okay? You're gonna have the time of your life! But I do have one suggestion for you. Don't think about this like a chance to find love. Think of it like you're having a good time with a beautiful woman. You might get a kiss. If you get five stars, nookie!"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks to the other and says "Ah am just looking to have fun, Ah am barely sure ah am ready to date again, but Ah am going to try. And ah fuss over all of you, your my family." He does add "Ah was tempted to let them fight, seen alot of thing but Illy kicking someone's butt in a sun dress would be a new one. But Megans a nice kid, to everyone but Illyana. Oil and water those too."

Cypher has posed:
"So they need to learn how to keep to opposite corners." Doug says. "Someone who marches up to Illyana spoiling for a fight has earned what they get." He gives his head a slow shake. Then he glances up at Sam, and says, "You're ready."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie says, "Ah think Ah am as ready as Ah can be, think I should wear a swim suit under the suit to be on the safe side?"

Cypher has posed:
Doug thinks about Namorita, and licks a canine tooth. "That woman? No, Sam." He puts his hands behind his head, and crosses his feet at the ankles. "You won't need a bathing suit." He doesn't say a WORD about not going swimming, though...

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks over to the other man, and says "Ok, so Ah am thinking dinner, then maybe hit this other club Wanda and Josh mentioned dance a bit, and if everything goes well, maybe go walking along the beach or maybe a bit of flying.

Cypher has posed:
"She's probably seen enough beaches." Doug says, before he thinks, and then says, "Take her flying... I THINK Namorita can fly?" Then he says, "Take her into the mountains, show her the view up there. Somewhere where you can see the moon over the forest."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods his head a bit and says "Know a few possible locations, maybe throw a pack together with a blanket in it in the saddlebags, something so if we want to land and talk she does not have to sit in the dirt or grass if she does not want to.

Cypher has posed:
Doug cracks an eye at Sam. "See? You got this. Sam hitting home runs, not batting *zero* like me." He snorts, and then says, "You're gonna wow her."

Samuel Guthrie looks to the other man and says "Ok, you tried Illyana, but how about Betsy, Ah am sure you got a chance bro."

Cypher has posed:
Doug gets a funny little look on his face. "...Not right now I don't." He says, before he sighs, and pushes himself up. "I'll get by, Sam." He cracks a little bit of a grin at that, indicating he may not be as hard-up as his lamentations might indicate. "Besides, this isn't about me!" He gets up, and starts going through Sam's ties.

Samuel Guthrie says, "Well maybe Namorita has a friend, who she can hook ya up with, but that's if this is a more than one time thing. If everything goes well, and she doesn't think Ah am a total creep, I might see if she wants to join us on a mission or two. I did get the feeling she might be looking for a little excitement."

Cypher has posed:
"Hey, I can take care of myself." Doug says, "If she has a cute friend, set them up with Scott. That guy needs the help." Doug picks out a blue tie with gold striping. "This one. It's really you."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks over, and says "You think? I was considering borrowing your fish tie." He is obviously joking and says "Ah aint sure there is any help for Scott. He put out a rule, that X-men aint allowed to date other x-men today."

Cypher has posed:
Doug pauses, and then gives a long, slow, liquid blink. He meets Sam eye to eye... then he busts out laughing, hugging his sides.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods his head a bit to this and says "Ah aint making no such rule with the New Mutants. We got enough horny teenagers, just what we need to add to the mix Oh yea you can rebel by fooling around with your team mate. We would never get them out of their rooms. " He look over to the man, and says " Ah thought it was bad enough when we were kids. Ah remember on Dani changing, Ah think Ah was red for a week.

Cypher has posed:
Doug raises an eyebrow. "You know what's funny?" He asks. "I don't think ANY of us fooled around with each other." He says, before he falls back. "You, Captain Shy, Bobby, more Catholic than he ever let on -- me, I chased the girls in *town*, I didn't bring it into the school with me. ...You know what, I'm not even gonna ASK the girls what they got up to back in the day. I don't wanna know the answer."

Cypher has posed:
"...I almost asked Amara out once," He adds, as an afterthought, "But it would've only been to piss off Berto."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie says, "Ah think Bobby and Amanda might have once, but Ah aint sure. He was always chasing her that's for sure. Ah might have asked Dani out, but Ah was dating Lila back then, and plus might have been weird with us running the team together, was already a thing there, not sure ah would have wanted to chance screwing it up."

Cypher has posed:
Doug puts his hand behind his head. "And I mean, you don't ask a woman like Amara out to piss off somebody else, that's just a bad reason for doing anything." He shrugs his shoulders. "It just wasn't the way we were, man." He holds one hand up and looks at his fingers, checks the bruises on his knuckles. "And in the end all of us were so much MORE than we thought we were."

Samuel Guthrie smiles and says "I don't know, Bobby thought he was a lot back then, not sure he could be much more." He jokes a bit and says "You know always figured Dani would be the first one of us on the X-men.

Cypher has posed:
Doug tilts his head, and then says, "I figured all of you would get there but me, to tell you the honest truth. Still do, really."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie says, "Ah still think you will make it, I mean your training more than other folks are, your gonna be our fourth ninja or something. And if Ah am working on almost any type of stealth mission your in the top 5 folks Ah want to take"

Cypher has posed:
"I do my best work on a computer." Doug says, before he adds, "But I appreciate your confidence in me. I don't *like* to fight, Sam. I'm not a pacifist, I just..." he shakes his head.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie says, "Hence why Ah would want ya on stealth, most time those are to go in and get information, and lets face it, you can hack computers, read any documents you find and are one of the smartest people in the mansion."

Cypher has posed:
Doug gives a sideways little smirk. "I do what I can with what I got." He shakes his head, and then wraps his arms around his knees, staring straight ahead.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks over to his friend, and says "You know, Ah want the kids here to have what we had so bad, but Ah do wonder if it was lightning in a bottle at times

Cypher has posed:
Doug looks up. "They can't have what we had. I don't want them to have what we had, because that was *our thing*. They have to find their own thing. Even we couldn't keep what we had forever, it's gone, and I miss it... but this is what we have now. If we went back to being sixteen again, we'd be miserable... because we're not sixteen anymore." He shrugs, once. "I wish I'd had more time. That's all. *I wish I'd had more time*, Sam."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks to his friend and says "Ah do too man, but we got now, and you don't know how thankful Ah am for that. " He looks to the other and says "We have one another we are still young, we are still learning, and The Sam is still dating the hottest girls., so life is good." He aids the last in looking over at his buddy with that goofy grin.

Cypher has posed:
Doug side-eyes Sam, and then stretches, and says, "I am not completely on the rocks, Guthrie," He says, getting to his feet, "...But let's just say that that's nobody's business but mine." He puts his hand on the small of his back, stretches, with a pop, and then says, "Now I'm gonna go make out -- with my pillow. Once things slow down a little bit, say, in ten, twelve years, we should take a road trip. You, me, maybe Bobby, whoever else -- and go somewhere. Maybe just off in a random direction, till we feel like coming back, or something blows up and we have to."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie smiles and says "Ah am thinking more like we need to do a trip like every 5 years, sorta like a class reunion or something, any place but mandipor

Cypher has posed:
"I dunno. They've got some great street festivals in Madripoor." Doug says, before he walks to the door, and puts his hand on the knob, before he pauses, briefly. "Space, maybe." Then he adds, "You know what? I'm glad my life turned out this way. I would've been a much... smaller person if it hadn't."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie says, "I doubt that my friend, I think you would have been one hell of a person no mater what."

Cypher has posed:
Doug lets out a soft 'heh'. "Guess we'll never know, huh?"
