Synopsis: Beast and Cyclops take down a Hook drug house and bring back a new guest.
Cast of Characters: Cyclops, Beast

Cyclops has posed:
The briefing had been short and to the point. It helped that it was only two experienced X-Men, Hank and Scott. Truth be told, Scott felt a little silly any time he was briefing Hank. The older man could easily do his job and was someone Scott respected as much as the Professor.

Still, it was his job. Walking around Mutant Town was enough to pick out one of the crack shacks that dot the area. Scott picked one on Putnam Avenue not far from the ironically named Hope Gardens housing project. The house was a rancher that city records said had two bedrooms and a basement. There were bars on all the windows, the front door and the back door. There was a constant stream of people going up to the front door, making exchanges through the locked front door gate and walking off.

It was too warm for infrared during the day, but in the van now the infrared camera could pick out people. There were four in the front room, two of whom had not moved in at least 20 minutes. One of the other two kept getting up to deal with people at the door. There were two in one of the bedrooms who going at it. The pantomime sex in infrared looks faintly ridiculous. And there were two in the basement, who judging by their posture and sitting near a corner, were playing video games.

"In and out, should be easy. I pop the back door, you lead the charge into the front room? We can be done before the targets downstairs get up. Cell jammer for no calls. What do you think?" Scott asks, leaning over Hank's shoulder. He is wearing his visor and a black X-Men uniform with X symbols on it in muted dark greys.

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy is also suited up this time, singlet ona nd ready to go. He is quite motivatedf or this, at this point, wanting to resolve the threat. So he comes along with scott easily. "So what exactly is our goal? First, get samples of the drugs? Second, capture them for questioning and later arrest? Your plan makes sense to me. We can move quickly before we expect it. We have some of Jub's zip ties?"

Cyclops has posed:
Scott rummages around in his kit bag and comes up with a dozen zip ties. He tucks six inside his suit and grimaces. "I'm going to experiment with a new uniform," he grumbles. "More military, with pockets."

"Priority one is make them tell us where they get their supply. Priority two is burn the stash. Priority three is samples if you need them. If we're getting samples we should mask up and put gloves on. We can't risk contamination."

Scott studies the infrared display with his arms crossed. "Unless you feel strongly, Hank, I'm not worried about arrests. The cops hardly ever bust these places, and I don't want to get bogged down with more people back at the base."

"Unless you've got different ideas?" he asks. He is being sincere, Scott virtually always is unless he is playing a cover on a mission.

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy laughs and just keeps the tes in one large hand. "We'll manage. Works for me. Gloves. Alright. Well I can't bring those in. So I do think it's important to subdue them, then come back out, and go in to gather up the materials. Why don't we move at the same time. You come in blasting to disarm any, and I start pushing them down to zip 'em up?" Assuming Scott's alright with that, he'll climb outside to get into position.

Cyclops has posed:
Scott slides out of the van after Hank and moves quickly into the alley that leads behind the house. He crouches low and peeks to make sure there is nobody in the windows before opening the gate into the backyard. The backyard is an unkempt mess with a beat up garage and a shed. As Hank moves into the yard with Scott he catches a whiff of Hook coming from somewhere out here. Scott moves on to the back of the house and carefully up the back steps. He counts down from three with the fingers of hand, puts his fingers to his visor and blasts the door in with a ruby jolt.

Scott books it through the empty narrow kitchen.

"What the fuck?" comes a voice from sitting area.

"Cops!" comes a second.

Scott clears the corner carefully and lets out a pair of stun blasts. There are two thuds from the sitting room.

Beast hears footsteps and looking through the other entry to the kitchen, a short man wearing just boxers is running from the bedroom toward Beast. The man moves twice as fast as he really should and somehow does not loose traction running around the bannister for the stairs to the basement. He has a switchblade in hand. Scott fires a blast but it flash behind the man and goes down the hall.

"Hank!" is all Scott has time to get out.

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy doesn't easte time bursting on in the other entrance. He doesn't have a stun beam, so all he can do is be loud, large, startling and hopefully scary enough to make them freeze. "Cy, zip the ones you put down," he grunts, as he lunges with a long, simian arm to grab the runner in his underwear, getting him by the armed arm, thumping him against the wall and zip-tying him up. He gets pushed into aonother, using that weight to knock him down and zip him up. The ground floor crew was just no match.

"You go up. I'm going down." he saysnodding to the stairs up, and the entrance to the basement that running man was going for. And at that, he'll move very lightly on those huge feet, going toward the basement door.

Cyclops has posed:
"Got it," Scott says. He quickly zip ties the two men he dropped and kicks the sawed off shotgun the one near the door had. The other two in the room are in a drugged stupor. He easily rolls them over and zip ties them. They manage only weak protests. Scott runs down the hall and jumps over the man Hank dropped and looks into the bedroom.

"Stay away from me!" a young woman in the room yells. She has a dirty sheet up around her neck. The room reeks of sweat, sex and Hook.

"Turn around!" Scott orders as he closes in on her. The woman's eyes go round and then she slumps with downcast eyes.

"Not like that," he say gruffly. Scott grabs the woman's shoulder, pushes her onto her stomach and zip ties her. He throws sheet back over her naked body and leaves the room with a faint shudder.

As he creeps down the stairs, Hank hears footsteps coming across the concrete floor. One set disappears and is replaced by the sound of claws scrabbling along. A large rotweiler comes into view at the bottom of the stairs and charges up at Hank, snarling. Another man runs into view behind the dog with a metal bat in his hand. The bat has a gear or sprocket shoved down on the end to give it a rending edge.

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy hoped not to be heard that quickly, but the scuffle upstairs was probably going to be heard, unless they were too mixed up on their own stuff. Had to try. "Hup," he says with a heavy breath, preparing for this fight. The dog is pretty 'easy' to deal with first, just using its own momentum to toss him back, to skid across the floor with a whine, sliding out the now permanently open front door. That's enough time that bat man (not that one) gets closer.

He thinks a split second. Bat has range. Get close. So, he lowwers his shoulder, catches a foot on a step, and pushes himself headlong, leaving the armed criminal no time to swing before he's bowled down the steps to get tied up. And at that, Hank carefully steps into the basement proper...

Cyclops has posed:
The dog goes flying out the door. There is a crash, followed by swearing, followed by footsteps running away. The man at the bottom of the stairs has neither the room nor space to get a real swing in at Hank. His attempt glances off the large mutant. Once Hank has hands on the man, there is no fight left as the man is ragdolled and zip tied.

"Clear up!" Scott calls down the stairs.

The basement is unfinished and smells of rat droppings among other things. There is a ratty couch facing the far corner where a flat screen perches precariously on a milk crate. The two cartoon fighters on the screen continue their idle dance as if nothing had happened. The rest of the room has piles of various junk too broken to be sold or worthless to be scrapped.

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy looks around carefully, making sure the place is clear before he calls up as such to Scott, and climbs back upstairs. "Alright, I'll stand watch to amke sure these punks don't try anything. Get the gloves and masks, and we'll take the samples?"
