Synopsis: A package arrives in Genosha to bring Magneto's nightmares to life once more.
Cast of Characters: Polaris, Magneto

Polaris has posed:
It had been a few days since the incident in her suite of rooms. A few days since Lorna had returned to the royal palace after a bloody swastika had been found. A few days of having people check up on her constantly, and security constantly calling in to say... they had no leads. Nothing. Wanda had found nothing. Pietro had found nothing. It was as if the image that stole her breath and made her heart stop had been nothing more than a phantom.

For now, Lorna approached her father's quarters. She figured that at some point she should check in with him. See how he was handling the issue... and confirm that nothing else had happened. Or so she hoped.

A gentle knock on the door to her father's study and she peered inside after the appropriate amount of time most would consider polite. "Father?" She called, before she'd step inside. She wore a simple pair of jeans and a loose fitting black button down shirt. Her hair flowing freely down around her shoulders.

Magneto has posed:
The Genoshan King had been on a rampage after the revelation of the swastika. Some things are never forgotten, and this was one of the ones that Magneto had engrained in his mind would never be let go.

Clad in the full crimson and purple of his battle attire, the King hovers a few feet above the floor. He didn't answer his door, he already knew who was there. It also did not mean that he wanted to be left alone; simply that he was not in a good mood.

He ordered double guards inside and outside of the Royal Palace. Security checkpoints for all but the royal family was tightened to an extent never before seen around the palace. It was a show of force, to anyone with Nazi sympathies that it will not be tolerated. Magneto stood at the ready at all times, ready to evicerate the person who dared paint that symbol in his home.

Polaris has posed:
Lorna stepped inside further, slowly, at the sight of her father in his full regalia. It was a rarity to see him so in his study, in his Palace. At the center of his power and command dressed so. The costume was as much a symbol as anything else in Genosha of Magneto and his power. With careful steps, Lorna approached her father, reaching out a hand as well as reaching out through the magnetic fields toward him. Her movements were hesitant, careful. It was clear that the events had disturbed the young magnokinetic in ways that she hadn't anticipated.

"Dad?" Her voice was soft, barely over a whisper.

"Have you.. has anyone found anything since..?" She asked, tilting her head to the side as she peered up at the King of Genosha.

Magneto has posed:
Indeed, the attire was a message, a symbol, and he knew it. He looked down from the vast window of his office, down to Lorna as she approached. His face changed from stone and hardened to softer. Erik lowered, reaching out his hand to grasp hers. "Nothing, not one damned piece of evidence. Even the blood doesn't come up with an answer."

He has been on edge for the last days, not wanting to make a public deal of this, simply wanting to catch the culprit and stop their terror. "they cannot find the source of the power outages you mentioned either. Whoever is responsible for this...is sadly much more able to cover their tracks that anyone would have figured."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna's grip on her father's hand tightened in a brief squeeze as he spoke of finding nothing. How even the blood hadn't led to any clues. "They had to be a teleporter, right? Pietro couldn't find a trace anywhere. And Wanda couldn't sense any magic. It was just.. suddenly there. And the poor maid, she'd seen someone and then.. well they weren't there suddenly. That's all I could think of." She pursed her lips, and shook her head minutely.

A knock, sharp, and focused sounded on the door that Lorna had just come from. Followed by a curt, military toned voice. One of the Acolytes and head of security for the floor, spoke. "Sir, we've found a package. It was found on the entry to the royal suites. It's addressed to you, sir." The man spoke from behind the door.

Lorna paused, glancing at her father back to door in question.

Magneto has posed:
"Teleportation makes the most sense, but with the electrical disturbances as well, it could be something else too." He wasn't sure at this point, and of course, he was not thinking completely straight.

The sharp knock and explaination from behind the door has Magneto flick his wrist, opening the door from the inlaid metal within. "Has it been screened?" Of course it would have been, none of his guards would allow something unscreened this close to the King and the Princess. But, as with most things, he had to be sure. He motions to the Acolyte and bids him come forward with it.

Polaris has posed:
The Acolyte entered with a sharp salute, a small cardboard package in his arm. The tape had already been cut back and opened once. "Sir, yes sir. We've X-rayed it, and tested it for any and all toxins or poisons. It's been cleared several times sir. We've checked security footage multiple times, but it seems the package simply.. appeared, sir." The man handed the box to Magneto and stepped back.

"All that was contained inside was a note, and...dust, your majesty." The Acolyte bowed and stood, awaiting further orders. As Lorna tip-toed over to her father, to try to peer over his arm at whatever was in the package. Inside, it was just as the Acolyte had described it.

However, he'd missed one detail. It wasn't 'dust', it was ashes, and the cardboard box was covered in it. On top, carefully folded was a piece of scrap paper. In bloody looking letters it read.

'KEEP THE FURNACES RUNNING MAX'

Magneto has posed:
Magneto salutes back, then accepts the package. He ignored the dust at the start, in order to open the paper and read what was on it. Almost immediately he realized just what the dust it contained was. "SCHEISSE!" He exclaims before holding the box away from his body, disgusted by the contents. "Whoever sent this box, knows much more than just some run of the mill Nazi. This person knows who I was before I was Magneto, or Erik Lensherr." He says, calmly putting down the box on his desk, issuing a command to the guard. "Fetch an urn. This is not dust, it is crematory ashes, if this scum is true to form, they are a Jew's ashes, they deserve to be put to rest." The Master of Magnetism has his lefft hand clenched, and the leather of his glove creaks with the pressure.

Polaris has posed:
The Acolyte bodyguard looked utterly as shocked as Lorna did as Magneto swore and held the box away abruptly. At the order to fetch an urn, the man bowed and fled the royal study in a hurry to fill out the King's commands. Lorna, meanwhile was edging closer, to her father and to the box that he had set down on the large mahogany desk. She peered down, her eyebrows furrowed. "What do you mean they knew you? Father? I don't get it.." But she didn't reach out to touch the box, not after her father's words regarding the box's contents.

The green haired young woman merely looked queasy at the conclusions her father had come up with, and she stepped away from the box. "What did the note say?"

Magneto has posed:
Magneto slides off his helmet and runs the hand that did not touch the ashes through his hair. The silver-white hair still shines in the light of the day as the man sighs and closes his eyes, managing two deep breaths before he starts to explain. "It reads: 'Keep the furnaces running, Max.'"

He cannot force himself to explain further, his gaze grows distant, eyes almost glossing over. Memories he had long since repressed. Bodies he was made to throw into the crematoria, the corpse's hands bloodied by the desperate attempts to escape the gas chamber walls. Their bodies stuck frozen in twisted, contorted poses. Every haunting piece of memory he had flooding back to him. Idly, his right hand rubs his left forearm gently, right where his ID number was tattooed on. "I can't." Is all he manages to say, looking up to Lorna, his eyes growing pink and teary.

Polaris has posed:
Lorna swept closer to her father as he pulled the helmet off and dragged his hand through his hair. She reached out with careful hands, offering to hold it for him as his gaze grew distant and he gave her nothing more than what the note had said. She swallowed hard, the lump in her throat, but didn't push. She knew that look on her father's face. How could she not after having lived with him for over a year in Genosha? There were nightmares still, that haunted the King of Mutants, despite all his power.. the past still clung to the shadows in his gaze and in his figure.

"It's okay, Dad." She whispered softly. "Here, why don't you sit down? We'll put your helmet down for a minute.. and I get you something to drink." She offered, her expression pinched in worry.
